MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 28/01/2012 11:24

Oh and fwiw, I'm with your dh on poppet Wink

memphis83 · 28/01/2012 11:41

cakes I dont think he hashad enough spare fluid to produce snot until now with it all coming out of the other end, but your right we are lucky to have escaped it, its disgusting, it shoots out past his chin!
On the names front, I use his name, his name and his second name added, little person, and when describing him somethimes poopanova and thats about it, I hate little man, my sister says this and it drives me wild, he isnt a man he is a baby, toddler, boy, person...anything but not a man!
Had my eyebrows and eyelashes done today, sil came round this morning and saw my book your pregnancy week by week on the side, she said ooh you got some news? I said yes (big silly grin) my besty is having a baby! Grin

L is in bed, we were suppost to be visiting mil but she has cancelled to go to bingo, I personally think she has forgotten my bday and has stalled us even though her sisters who she slags off and I rarely see have al posted me cards, 2 are wheelchair bound so its saying something when mil works in a place that sells cards!

DesperateHousewife21 · 28/01/2012 11:56

Bubba, babycakes, Mr D, sweety/ sweetheart and the usuals.

He's got a horrible cough again, sounds like he's going to be sick when he coughs. Medicine doesn't seem to do anything.

DesperateHousewife21 · 28/01/2012 11:57

Are the usuals*

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 28/01/2012 12:57

Cake are you still following the 'blood group' diet?

I'm sick of feeling shit/low/depressed?/low self esteem and constantly tired. I need to do something proactive and am considering this.

I can buy the book from Amazon but am totally at a loss as to whether I'll feasibly be able to do it., without seeing a comrehensive list of what I would be able to eat and what I wouldn't.

Where can I find details of this? Or do I just have to buy the book and accept it might be a waste of money if I read it then see it's just full of things I wouldn't be able to stick to?

Chulita · 28/01/2012 13:10

mlisc how about this ?

I've read, will post in a bit, I'm in a serious cba mood and typing is just too much for me Grin

Glad you're home tsc!

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 28/01/2012 13:19

Yeah that's the book, thanks chul. Or I could get it new for on 89p more on Amazon...I just don't want to waste my time if it isn't right for me iyswim?

For example the only basic things I know about my blood type is I should eat plenty of lean meat (erm...no) and avoid wheat (aarghhh no bread!) So I don't know if it's just a non starter for me as I wouldn't be able to start eating lots of meat, for example.

CakeandRoses · 28/01/2012 14:38

yy i loosely follow it mlic. well i say loosely, it's probably pretty close 'naturally' so i'm just not 100% strict about the things i can eat but shouldn't according to my blood group (like potatoes) iyswim?

i'm pretty convinced by it now and can feel a difference when i eat potatoes in particular. overall, i do have good health, energy levels etc so something's doing its job.

i was talking to my sister about whether it's feasible for her (she's an O and a vegan) the other day - i think it would be but you might want to tinker around with the advice and be stricter for the things you know/think will make the difference. you may well tolerate some things better than others in your blood group. i shouldn't eat tomatoes but feel no effects when eating cooked ones in sauce (which i do a lot).

i hate to say it but if you're O then potatoes are a no no for you so all the crisps may well not be helping you.

i bought the specific book for As as the lists of good, bad and neutral food are really clear.

a non-clear list is here: www.dadamo.com/typebase4/typeindexer.htm and a better one but not 100% accurate one is here: www.drlam.com/blood_type_diet/blood_o_chart.asp

thumbwitch on here is a blood scientist and follows this diet - she'd be a good person to ask for more info if you need it.

CakeandRoses · 28/01/2012 14:41

note: my sister suffers a lot physically/health-wise

Ahhhh cake hes so sweet! Does F still wake regularly? If so what wakes him? I am so with you re trying to work out why, today i have decided i really couldnt give a shite about protecting his nap time or keeping him to routine, his sleep is shocking no matter what i do. i really worry about it impairing his ability to learn if it continues to be this bad, i also worry about dh's sanity.
chu hope ur feeling ok, hows L doing?are ur nights still bad?
mylife im sorry u keep feeling poo, i dont hold with any diets like that, sorry cake, i just think they can make you feel worse if you have the odd chocolate or in your case bag of crisps!
Re pet names, D is mainly called Chimpy as he reminded us of a baby chimp when he was tiny, also used is sweetpea, darlin(in a very west country accent!), monkey and Dev, which i hate but cant help saying. F gets called bunky a lot cos dh said he had bunk eyes when he was born!! evil but it stuck. Havent shortened his actual name yet though and dont want to if i can help it. Question for those of us still having sleep issues, if they nap in the day do u let them wake on their own or do u wake them?

Chulita · 28/01/2012 16:11

viks things are ok here, I'm not sleeping well regardless of what the children do so that's that. Mine both sleep through maybe once a week, other than that either one or the other is up. I let S wake on his own from a nap unless it goes much beyond 3pm and then I get him up.

ok mlisc I'm sure you'd looked there already, I didn't know if you were looking at full price ones

memphis I can't believe this is the first snottogram L has had! Shock mine are forever dribbling snot it seems.

I call ours pickle, lovely, lovely one, precious
L gets wussodub, dub, dublet, doozle, doozlewub, bubawklet, gremlina
S gets samsonian, samsonite, samwise, sambo, samsonito
I get stabby when people call L 'loose' like she's some kind of dribbly poo Angry I don't say anything but I silently fume, hate hate hate it.

cake I'd be interested in trying that kind of thing but I can't see how it would be easy cos DH and I are different blood types. I know food has a huge impact on how you feel though, the rare times I've cut out biscuits/bread/cakes I've felt a lot better but unsustainable really Grin

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 28/01/2012 16:58

I know the crisps aren't good for me, but I honestly think it's an addiction Blush I might just bite the bullet and order the book. What have I got to lose hey?

I symathise chul, even though Will is a 'real' name as opposed to 'loose' I still hate it when he gets called that by people. If he chooses to refer to himself as Will in the future that's absolutely fine. But if I introduce him to people as William, I object to them taking it upon themselves to shorten it Angry

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 28/01/2012 17:39

Oh and I'm lucky in that dh and I are the same blood type (and therefore the children) but tbh I wouldn't inflict it on him make him do it. So I'd still do him potatoes (or whatever) with a meal, just not eat them myself.

I think I could do it if I could see/feel the benefits.

W has been awful most of today. Even the 6yo girl next door got fed up with him at the park and said 'oh I'm going, see you later whingy'

Chulita · 28/01/2012 18:09

Argh! S just tried being helpful and ran into the kitchen carrying my lovely huge extraspecial mug, dropped it and it smashed :( Tea will never taste the same.

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 28/01/2012 18:54

No i didn't. I couldn't really as I'd been sayig things like 'oh stop whinging'. I know I shouldn't say anything myself but he pushes every single button in my body. So for the same reasons, I didn't pull my dad for saying he did his head in...because he is a very difficult child to cope with.

What I do object to however is spending the whole fucking afternoon with him/them out of the house (without dh) and within 20 mins of being home dh has no patience and is annoyed with him. That doesn't help my mood one bit.

Sorry your mug broke chul

Chulita · 28/01/2012 19:07

Hah mlisc my DH is exactly the same.

kkfairybrains · 28/01/2012 21:01

My dp does that too mlic and it does my head in! Dont think I could do that diet! Although I have so much weight put on this week it's not even funny :( I can't stop eating crap!
Vik hope the bottles help with F's wind. Things are good here thankfully she's alot better today. She's had no pain relief and we had the first solid poo in a week!
E is getting so funny now when she's doing a poo now actually she always hides! Behind the curtain or the chair and behind the shower door this evening!
Tsc glad your home! How did it go with the nurse?
E gets called madam, miss ellie, elmo, flower, little woman(sorry memph!), chickatee, chicken, babaBlush, baby, tinkerbell.
Chulita is it because you're in pain that you can't sleep or the usual pregnancy insomnia?
I am pooped after a hectic long day working. Got 2 dvds to watch and a big cheesecake!

DesperateHousewife21 · 28/01/2012 22:09

mlisc yes! Dh is exactly the same. No patience whatsoever if things dont go his way in a respectable timeframe. I have to deal with it all day long and he gets narked in 5 mins flat! He'll learn Wink

One good thing though, I said to dh I can't be getting up every day at 6 so I said you'll have to get up some days in the week and I'll get up when it's time to get ready for work and he agreed with no complaining which is a result.

vik D is the same re sleep. No matter what I do or how long his nap is his nighttime sleep is so random. He's in my bed atm for instance because he has a horrible chesty cough which is waking him up every 5 mins but last night he slept solidly til midnight (where it went rapidly downhill)

viksam · 29/01/2012 02:55

This is officially shite, been up since 1.30 with F, hes had 3oz but threw it all back up and wont settle or have any more, im dying for the loo and my back is going to break, im sorry to moan, thinks could be worse like for tsc and kk im just struggling now and dh goes back to work monday so im worried about that too, hes had 6 weeks off and its been lovely, ive loved having him here even though i thought it was going to be a mare.
dh good result re getting up!
kk glad things are looking up, D hid for a poo by the loo yesterday! very apt i thought! hes moving between maffis smelly loose ones to rabbit droppings, no inbetween atm.
I can hear and feel the wind rumbling around this poor babys tummy, i wish i could get it out for him, hes STILL not settled, im gone do myself in!!

DesperateHousewife21 · 29/01/2012 08:01

vik sounds like a crap night for you. Did he settle in the end?

Our night wasn't as bad, he woke once in the night not sure what time then was up for the day at half 6.

Not got any plans for today, don't think I can stay in all day though.

memphis83 · 29/01/2012 09:28

dh thats a result that your getting a feww ewxtra hours in bed a week!
chul sorry your mug broke, L broke my favourite mug whe we first moved, its not been the same since, ive tried all the mugs in the cupboard to no avail, so I feel your pain Grin dh has bought me a new one for my birthday, its a tattoo type print on it that says tea and biscuits please...very me!
mlic could you cope if your blood tyoe is no potatoes? what about crisps? if you just cut those out for a few weeks you may feel great by just doing it, I rarely eat crisps after seeing how many litres of oil you consume a year by having them, it made me feel ill thinking about it!

CakeandRoses · 29/01/2012 10:19

sorry justa a quickie as i'm supposed to be getting everyone ready to go into london for chinese NY but the blood group diet isn't a diet in terms of losing weight (although some people do use it for that) it's just a way of healthy eating.

if you experience low energy levels, headaches, ibs, indigestion or whatever then doing without whatever causes them would be well worth it, i'd have thought.

oh and mlic i've read that people are often attracted to the food that is bad for them. probably no scientific research on this but i've heard that lots. might explain your crisp addiction.

CakeandRoses · 29/01/2012 10:21

sorry - that was partly a response to vik re not agreeing with it. i don;t feel bad at all when i eat stuff i shouldn't cos i'm not obsessed with it, i just believe that mainly sticking to it, will make me feel better,
