Thanks blizy I've just been grumpy with dp when he got in as I don't understand it - he needs his own iTunes not me! Wink night all x

americanexpat · 10/02/2012 09:00

Ponyo - your iPod might be set to sync automatically. If you disable that (don't remember how off the top of my head, maybe one of the options?), you should be able to use both on one computer. Must find you on FB now.

blizy - I wish there was something I could do to lessen your pain. No one should have to go through what you have. I think about Zoe a lot as well, she will always be one of the Feb babies.

44me - Thomas has a bit of a cheeky air about him, doesn't he? :) I do not envy you with chicken pox AND rotavirus. You deserve a bottle of wine after all this.

DH's cousin is visiting for the weekend and is sleeping in L's room. We moved L into our office and he bloody slept through again. Shock I thought for sure he'd be up sleeping in a strange room. I think those of us with crap sleepers have an advantage as we're pleasantly surprised when we get a full nights sleep, rather than upset when we don't. Grin

ledkr · 10/02/2012 09:47

expat I often think that about the sleeping and then remember the dark days and think nah, that was a feckin nightmare Grin Id never want to go through that again,i honestly felt as if i was going mental.
Well im in a mood.D and i have been talking about the old days when we used to do so many excitng things-weekends away, travel etc.and i said we should spent more time together. So last night the kids went to bed so we had from 8.30 till bedtime to just chill,so what does he do?Phone his fecking family for 40 mins.I know iabu but i dont care,i feel neglected so as a punishment i am off out to have a good flirt tonight haha Grin Look out Cheltenham here i come.

Deliaskis · 10/02/2012 10:18

Hi ladies,

Not posted for a bit but have been reading lots.

blizy I don't have any words to help you but am thinking of you and DH and Zoe and sending lots of hugs your way for what we know will be a tough time.

Ponyo I saw your laughing cow pic on FB, you're right, C and A are not unsimilar in looks (and in the angst they put us through!), both with masses of dark slightly unruly hair!

Ledkr I had a far more U last weekend. DH had to work Saturday am, and I got arsey with him Sat pm as he spent it building C's new wardrobe, which desparately needed doing, I just sulked cos I wanted to do nice weekend things together, but in his defence, he was doing something constructive, so really, I was being super U.

Four4me sorry to hear about ongoing sanitorium at your house, it must be tough. Fingers crossed there is light at the end of the tunnel. I know when C had roatvirus (or we assume that's what it was), it felt like forever after she got 'better' (i.e. no vom and eating normally) that her nappies returned to normal. You just get so sick of many many many changes of bum and clothes.

C is doing good, hasn't woken before 6 in over a week now Grin and has slept until closer to 7 most mornings (or at least that is the first we have heard her). She's v cute at the moment and doing new things all the time. She was playing with some different fabrics on Mum's coffee table, like different textures to feel (far more constructive play than I would have done!), and she had a ribbon round the waist of her jeans that she wanted to add to the pile of fabrics, and she kept pulling it, but realised it was attached to her, so sat down and started trying to wriggle out of her jeans! I thought it was v cute. Obviously she couldn't get out of them on her own, that would be remarkable, but cute that she realised what she needed to do.

Interviews going well I think, I have narrowed it down to 3 that I defo want, and have 2nd interviews with them all, and have binned 2 as didn't get a good vibe.

Dx

Four4me · 10/02/2012 10:42

Great news Delia about the job interviews you'll be all sorted soon. Yeah for C sleeping to.

American brilliant news about L's continued sleeping. So nice to have a good night 'off baby duty' so to speak! Long may it continue.

ledkr enjoy your night out. Looking forward to hearing about your antics!!!

Another day at home today, but no awful nappies for nearly 24 hours and they both had some tea last night and some breakfast today!! Yeah I can see the end in sight......... Hopefully all better for A 's b'day next week. Just ordered him a skuttlebug from Amazon. Not that we need any more toys, but wanted to get him something new, not his fault he is the fourth! Half term next week. X

ledkr · 10/02/2012 10:47

d that sounds so cute about the jeans.Im amazed at how much they do know about their world.Dill unwrapped a few clothing presents on her birthday and put them on her head or around her neck, she was defo trying to put them on. She also trys to brush her hair and put mine and ellas hair accesories in her hair. God im in such a mood,it wont shift.Ella is off school now as she feels a bit "funny in her tummy" i have no idea what that means but couldnt face a row,so dh is annoyed about that too as he was never allowed time off school so has Ishooooos with it.

ledkr · 10/02/2012 10:50

four4 Glad they are on the mend. I bought Dilly a couple of new things too cos i thought she was too young for Ellas hand me downs-barbie etc.
I remember when Ella started ballet and i put her in ds's first ballet shoes that were black.I then looked at her and thought.I waited 18 yrs for a girl and im putting her in black ballet shoes, went straight to the shop and bought pink satin ones Grin

Four4me · 10/02/2012 11:55

Omg I need to get out of this house - I just burst into tears about a little Ella getting new pink satin ballet shoes! Arrrrrrrrr

ledkr · 10/02/2012 12:04

I need to get out too.I am seriously down in the dumps.I spoke to dhabout how i felt at his lack of attention to me and he denied it and then put dills for a sleep and has been i presume in the bedroom until now (about 2 hrs) Im bloody fuming. Wtf is wrong with these men? I am waiting to hear from a friend about taking the kids to soft play for an hour to get out,im not even dressed. We were going to do a few things today but he clearly has other priorities Sad

reastie · 10/02/2012 14:50

I'm on half term, I'm on half term

ledkr share your anguish re: dh, mine can be the same, so annoying. Btw my dh wasn't allowed time off school for illness either and he is really odd about sick days

four4 glad things are calming down a bit for you

It seems Alice finds my evil teacher glare really hilarious Hmm

delia it seems C is well on her way to oxbridge there Wink

Deliaskis · 10/02/2012 15:42

I don't know reastie , I hear Oxbridge are really tightening up on their 'fabric sorting & grouping' criteria, only accepting AAA*s now apparently Wink.

wigglesrock · 10/02/2012 15:50

Hello

delia Grin at C and the jeans so cute.

ledkr did you get out?

Well my sister had her baby on Wed night - Emma, she's gorgeous Grin. The birth went really well until the last hour and then everything went quickly downhill. They were bluelighted to a different hospital but thankfully all is fine with both and she should be home today Grin. They ended up at the same hospital as Brona, so I was able to sit with her and her daddy for a while. She is very slowly on the mend.

We are having a party for A tomorrow but haven't done anything at all for it yet due to the major excitement, so off to Tescos.

Will have a quick catch up and nosy at photos.

Deliaskis · 10/02/2012 15:55

Ah congrats aunty wiggles on the new arrival, sorry to hear things got a bit dicey but sounds like everything turned out OK.

We are also kind of having a non-party party for C tomorrow, not actually invited any friends, just my parents, and DSis & neice. Will make more of an effort next year!

blizy · 10/02/2012 15:56

Huge congratulations auntie wiggles! Hope your sister and Emma are well. I love the name Emma, but we know far too many here! What weight was she? How is little Brona doing?
Hope you all have a fan time at Anna's party tomorrow.

tadjennyp · 10/02/2012 17:47

Congratulations Auntie Wiggles! So excited for you. Hope all recover really quickly, and Brona too. Have a great party for Anna tomorrow.

So sorry for everyone who is in a blue funk. (I will add myself to that list). I think a good night's sleep is a pre-requisite for achieving anything useful, never mind being in a great mood. Hope Friday night cheers you all up.

Glad things are getting better in the four4 household. Is it half term for you next week? I hope you get a break at some point. You are amazing looking after all those young children with such good humour.

Congratulations on all the interviews Delia. Like I said, you must be top-notch in your field for everyone to consider taking you on. Hope you get the right one. Have a lovely party tomorrow too!

Yay for half term and the end of inspections reastie. Now to finally turn the corner on your PND. Thinking of you.

Hurray for a sleeping Leo, expat! Hope you have a lovely time with dh's cousin too. Going anywhere special?

Ponyo that cheese spread photo is so funny! How much hair? I don't think Anna has that much hair now and she is 6!

Loving the pink satin ballet shoes story, ledkr.

Blizy, thinking of you and Zoe, as always. xxx

Hope you all have a wonderful Friday night.

reastie · 10/02/2012 18:39

wiggles excellent news Grin . I also love the fact your sister carried on the wiggles tradition of ending all names in 'a' Grin Wink

delia and wiggles hope the non parties go well tomorrow. We have a couple of weeks till ours still

delia Grin to oxbridge comment

blizy · 10/02/2012 19:20

Sorry some of you are feeling down.

44me- I hope you make it out of the house soon, you too ledkr!

Delia- Grin at C at the jeans, clever girl just like mummy!

Yay for half term reastie, it's fab! When are you back? I'm not back until Wednesday.

Was visiting my niece today, was her 13th birthday. Can't believe I'm old enough to have a teenage nieceConfused.

Feeling rubbish today, I have a head cold typical when Dh and I have plans for tomorrow. Hmm

Hope you all have a good weekend.

Emski76 · 10/02/2012 19:29

Well firstly Wiggles, congrats on the birth of your niece and fantastic name choice, ahem, ahem!

Reastie, thank goodness for half term for you, try to relax and enjoy yourself.

Hope all birthday parties go well, we have Noah's next Sunday, am going to wrap his mostly hand me down presents this weekend. Cant believe it's almost a year already.

Am thinking of you so much Blizy at this awful and difficult time. Wish there was a way we could all get together and look after you over these next few weeks. Will be thinking and praying for you. Will light my special candle for Zoe again on the 26th and 28th. Please come on here to talk whenever you need to.

Ledkr, hope you got out today, it can be grim being stuck in!

Four4, glad the little ones seem to be getting better, I also am in awe of how you manage with 4!

We have a quiet weekend ahead, and dh is taking the boys to the in laws on Sunday so get a day to myself, yippee!

wigglesrock · 10/02/2012 20:24

Thank you for all your kind wishes, Grin at Emski.

reastie I know with the A's Grin, I will definitely be getting put in the Mumsnet common as muck corner of the class Grin Yay for half term, S & O are off 2 days next week and thats it thank God

blizy I've the beginnings of a head cold too, feel a bit shite. Emma was 8lb5 and looks really really like ponyos A! and deliaskis C Grin Got a text from my friend, the nurse thinks Brona has made a big improvement today - fingers crossed she's out by Mon/Tuesday. Because its viral they can't actually treat her with anything so they just have her comfortable in an incubator waiting for it to pass Sad

Four4Me love the pictures - vvv handsome boys. Anna said Peppa today Blush, she loves a soft book Olivia had and she was trying to copy me and Peppa just came out - is it strange that I thought of you and yours right away - being driven slowly over the edge by Peppa Grin Hope everyone is improving x

Right off to make up party bags, I've made up a special one for Emma Blush

debka · 10/02/2012 20:29

HEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'M BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!

Did you miss me?

I've read everything (ish), you've been busy without me! Glad you're all on the mend at last 44me. Hope the miserable among us have cheered up now.

Had a nice time although Captain Grumpy lived up to his name. Girls loved it but got really tired, looking at squirrels is obv exhausting Hmm.

My little Bean is properly tottering about now, and starting to talk a lot more, walked to the window, pointed at a pigeon and said DUCK on her birthday. She's a genius. Grin

I've been badder than bad on sw since last weigh in, eaten soooo much crap (was bloody good though). Only got out for one run at CP but went out after girls in bed this evening so I'm hoping that if I practically starve myself until tuesday I will mitigate some damage....

to everyone mwah mwah mwah

debka · 10/02/2012 20:31

wiggs congrats to your sister, hope she and Emma are doing well now. I must have missed what happened to Brona, is she poorly?

Four4me · 10/02/2012 20:42

Arrrr massive congratulations Auntie Wiggles I bet S and O are soooo excited about the new baby. Hope Brona is home too soon.

Hope all the parties this weekend go well. Yeah!

Waves to Tad

Well done reastie for getting through this half term, go girl.

Hope ledkr is setting the town on fire, hee hee hee.

Well I did it....I got out! Yeah!! Dh got home at 5.45 and I escaped to Morrisons which is ridiculous as I got a Tesco home delivery this morning. Sadly my time off was cut short by dh ringing me to say that our tenant had called and the boiler had gone off and he needed to go and sort it out!!!! Bless him, he is still not back and hasn't eaten yet and he has driven to Preston and back then to Hawes and back already today. Think a quiet weekend is needed for the 44me gang! Can I come and join you for a rest on Sunday emski - I'll bring cake????

blizy · 10/02/2012 20:45

Wow at all of our genius babies! Grin
Yay debka's back! Glad you had a good time.

That's fab news wiggles, hope I didn't pass my cold onto you Blush. I think it's cute you doing a wee bag for Emma. She is a good weight and Grin at her looking like A and C.

Right I'm off Dh just back from work! Wink

Four4me · 10/02/2012 20:46

Hiya deb welcome back x-post as I took aaaaaggggggeeeees to type. So glad you had a good time, boo to Captain Grumpy!

A and Im both ate lunch and tea today and no 'output' should I say!

wigglesrock · 10/02/2012 21:10

Four4me fingers crossed they are on the mend Grin at your Morrisons escape.

debka welcome back, so glad you and girls had a good time. Brona has bronchiolitis - its been a hard old week, but she seems to have turned a corner today. Her parents are absolutely dead on their feet Sad, the hospital is miles away, they have a 3 year old and a 20 month old and not great family support but fingers crossed she'll be home soon Grin

blizy My sister was very big at the end, so she has herself convinced the baby was huge and thats why she was so big, not so much to do with the copious amounts of food she was eating Grin. She lives near my Mum and was eating her out of house and home Grin
