i dont know how you watched it blizy I dont cos i just feel like ive moved on from the whole birth thing Grin My Mum and Step dad had the same thing with their baby and my sd couldnt even come and see Dilly untill she wasnt wired up cos it upsets him so much 32 years later.
I cannot imagine how you are going to get through her birthday, are you working on that day? I know its not the same but when i mc i thought id be pg by the time it would have been due but i wasnt. To be honest i found i though about it more at xmas though.
Dilly has been brill at night but i bet ive just jinxed it. I have a headache this morning as i think im over tired, she wakes early and ive not had a break from it for ages as either i have work or dh.

blizy · 09/02/2012 10:22

ledkr It's like car crash tv for me, I can't not watch. I end up in tears every time though. No I'm not working her birthday, I finish up on the 24th and start back on the 1st. I don't know how I am going to get through it either, but I have been through worse and survived. I don't want her birthday to be a sad occasion, it is the day we met her, got to hold and hug her and I want to remember it for that. However, I think the 26th will be completely different story. I don't want to remember the day my baby girl died.

ledkr · 09/02/2012 11:57

blizy Im right with you,we all are.I am so sad about Zoe still so can only imagine how you feel. I agree that it should also be a celebration of her existence. After all she taught you how to be pregnant, how to be a mother and how to love your child.
My Mum told me to tell you it does get easier in time and having another child/children will help you greatly, your memory of her wont go but the memory of the pain fades.

Four4me · 09/02/2012 12:33

Well said (as usual) ledkr

blizy I found last nights OBEM difficult to watch last night and all four of mine shot out like bullets!! It must be so difficult for you, I totally understand the 'knowing you shouldn't be watching it but having to watch it' feeling. I was like that with the 'Born to be different' series that was on each year, Esp in the early years after I had Tom. I used to sit watching it with tears streaming down my face. I think it is a way of processing what you have been through and subconsciously figuring out things in you head iykwim. MASSIVE SPOTTY HUGS from all the 44me gang.

Things slowly improving here. Having spoken to my gp/dr friend I think that they have both had/have rota virus too. Imogen has no spots yet, but she is bound to have some soon. They were both laid on top of me together when Archies spots were popping up.

Four4me · 09/02/2012 13:22

Forgot to say I've added a lovely (biased me) photo of all the three boys at my dil's wedding. My dsis took it and emailed it to me yesterday. Grin

blizy · 09/02/2012 13:31

ledkr thank you to you and your mum. You akways know just what to say!

44me Thanks for the hugs! When I'm out I find my self staring at kids and babies with DS, I'm not being bad I just wonder if Zoe would be like them. Their parents must think I am such an ignorant fool! I watched that series Born to be different too, the children on it are amazing.
Oh your boys are so handsome. Grin

Four4me · 09/02/2012 13:50

blizy me and my other friends who have children with ds call ourselves 'downs spotters' . On our first holiday abroad after we had Tom, we were sat having breakfast and in marched a special olymipic training squad (which had about 80% people with ds in it) dh lent over to me and said 'oh god they are following us everywhere!!'. You are not alone. I actually don't mind people staring now as I am so proud of him, I kind of like showing off how well he copes with life! iykwim.

Both patients snoring at present....phew.

blizy · 09/02/2012 13:59

44me I think I would call myself a downs spotter too. When dh and I were at the sands balloon release, there was the most adorable little baby with ds, he had the same hair colour as Zoe and I could not stop looking at him.

Hope the patients snore for at least an hour! Hpw are they both doing?

Four4me · 09/02/2012 14:40

Archie's spots are scabbing/fading well. But they are both still not eating, just water for Imogen and the odd mouthful of toast, Archie is bf as normal and the only thing he'll eat is the jars of Hibb organic banana custard! Their nappies are truly awful (prob not helped by the banana custard). I have been dettoling and bleaching everything and extra vigilant with hand hygiene. The more I read about rota virus the more I'm sure that is what they have. Imogen started two half days at nursery after christmas so wondering if that is where it has come from. Still think she'll get the pox too. Oh joy. Luckily the big boys are fighting fit...fingers crossed.

ILovePonyo · 09/02/2012 20:44

Hi all, well I have had a whinge bag for a baby today Confused She has been hard work. Don't know what was wrong, I'm guessing teething for change. The only thing that kept her quiet was letting her eat crap random food, mostly Laughing cow cheese as my fb friend will know Grin
Does anyone else feel a bit rubbish when their baby is being whingy and you can't do much with them?! We only went out for a little walk as the pavements were like ice - I sometimes felt like she'd be better off at nursery in case she was bored Blush

Anyway enough whinging from me too. blizy hugs from me too, ledkr and Four4 have some words of wisdom as always. The end of this month is going to be a rollercoaster for you and your dh isn't it, as always I wish I had something really helpful to say but I don't :( Am just thinking of you and will be doing so on thiose dates too.

Four4 poor babies still, rota virus Confused I've never heard of it is that bad?

ledkr hope Dils slept well again and I havn't jinxed it either

Am off to my mums for the weekend, dp is away and I need the help Grin

blizy · 09/02/2012 20:54

Thanks Ponyo. I love the pic of Anya, she looks like she is in cheese heaven.Grin

God I am so freaking bored, tv is crappy an I'm missing Dh. Might take to my bed with the kindle.

Grannyapple · 09/02/2012 21:03

blizy have to say I was thinking about you last night when watching OBEM. I was in bits too watching it...dh came in with a cuppa tea for me & got a shock when he noticed I was sobbing... Not sure what else I can say to the other words of wisdom already given, except that we're all here for you more than ever over the next few weeks. I too would like to donate to Zoe's fund so thx for posting the link x.

Grannyapple · 09/02/2012 21:17

Grannyapple · 09/02/2012 21:23

He also like anything about war & also science fiction.

Grannyapple · 09/02/2012 21:25

blizy forgot to say that I'm up in Glasgow at the end of the month...would've been good to meet up but not sure we'll have time...will let you know when we're up next time...could meet for a coffee or something?

reastie · 09/02/2012 21:32

blizy I never know what to say as I'm rubbish with words as you all know but I think of you often and zoe often in RL. The next few weeks will be hard, I hope you keep coming on here to rant or whatever.

ponyo I have moany baby too. ALice seems to be teething and hasn't been herself all week. It's so tiring today and just got back from parents evening. I left DH to feed and bath alice and do the dishwasher and his sarnies for tomorrow and I thought I'd come back to a dump of a house and a DH in a cold sweat but everything was done and laid back and DH told me Alice just sat quietly in her highchair while he did all the chores - she never does that for me, it's starting to look like I'm lying Blush

four4 love the piccie. Boo to rotavirus AND pox at the same time in your household

Off to bed, I'm shattered.

blizy · 09/02/2012 21:40

Thanks reastie- it really does mean a lot to know you are thinking of us. Hope Alice is feeling better soon and the pesky tooth pops through quickly.

Granny- that would be fab another meet up!Grin. When are you over this month? Please do let my know the next time you are up.

ledkr · 09/02/2012 21:44

granny I still cant believe it when Dilly sleeps through again, the best bit is when i put her to bed and she seems to sort of snuggle up and just goes off with no fuss FOR THE FIRST TIME IN A YEAR Grin

ILovePonyo · 09/02/2012 22:00

blizy I'm half watching 'Vicki Christina Barcelona' on film4, its ok but I've never really 'got' the Woody Allen thing tbh. Another meet up - yay! Make it happen blizy and granny Grin

granny I find that when A is sleeping well I stay up later as I know/hope I won't be up - I went to bed at 9.45 last night and felt pretty good this morning for a change! I might use The Look on A when she's being whingy Grin

reastie Hmm to A sitting nicely in her chair for everyone but you, is it worse getting back home to a shit tip of a house and stressed dh or a chilled out dh whos had it easy, I'm not sure myself at the moment... My dp has A on his own all day on Mon so when I'm at work so I'll let you know how that turns out Wink Hope A is better for you and the tooth shows up soon.

Does anyone know much about itunes/ipods? Can you have 2 ipods on one itunes?! Stupid computer is downloading all of dps music onto my ipod after I bought something from itunes, I'm going to have to delete it all now.

blizy · 09/02/2012 22:12

Ponyo- you. An only have one iPod per iTunes account. You will have to set up another iTunes account for your iPod.
I'm in bed watching celeb juice.
