I have finally found you all, thought you had done a runner!

emski Grin to the new money!

Right this might sound very strange, but I was just chatting away to Zoe about Christmas and the living room has went freezing cold, the hairs on my neck are standing and I feel like someone is watching! I am normally so sceptical about these things but I think it's my Zoe bear. I am feeling so calm just now.(well except for this stinking cold)

If I dont get on later I want to wish you all a merry Christmas, I hope the babies all have a magical first Christmas. Love to you all xx

ChestnutsREASTIEingOnTheFire · 24/12/2011 13:33

blizy glad you found us. That sounds really lovely and reassuring re: Zoe, and she picked just the right time to come and give you a bit of reassurance over christmas.

ledkr the girls went ice skating??? Please don't tell me you've had Dilly on skates already Wink Can't believe they don't let you take piccies with father christmas now Angry Shock - money making swizzles everywhere

Well, I've done the braised cabbage, celeriac puree and butternut squash lasagne this morning ready for the royal PIL visit. Just got the dining room to clear out. DH driving me mad 'looking after' alice (ie not watching her so she does all sortsof mischievous things). Makes me feel like I'm a very diligent mother compared to his lax attitude though Grin

Oh, and we collected the free stuff from freecycle - it's all great Grin . She gave us some other bits too including a cute toddler lawnmower so alice can help dh with the mowing next summer!

ponyo hope you feel better soon. Hopefully your mum will look after anya so you get lots of rest.

I'll try and come back tonight but if I dont HAPPY CHRISTMAS everyone

Blizy, I'm so glad Zoecame to you, I fully believe in these things, tho not in a spooky way. She was letting you know that she's ok.

Reastie, great new about the free cycle stuff! I've not found anything on there yet but sis has had loads f really good stuff for the kids.

Ledkr, my friend took her little boy to see Santa at Cribbs and said the same, that she felt she had no choice about buying a photo. A bit cheeky of them, me thinks.

I'm currently in the process of dying my hair red, am so bored of being brown. We popped into town this morning and I treated myself to some Clinique make up and bought dh an x box, he was so pleased, I feel like a proper good wife now!

If I don't come on again, MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!

Four4me · 24/12/2011 19:01

Found you! Merry Christmas to you all, hope you all have a lovely time from the whole four4me gang xx

wigglesrock · 24/12/2011 19:30

Oooh very excited here Xmas Grin

All girls actually asleep Xmas Shock, S&O are fantastic at going to sleep for big occasions, firm believers in the sooner you sleep, sooner you wake Xmas Grin.

blizy well of course it was Zoe, she had to give her Mum a kiss for Christmas.

reastie I love the pretend lawnmowers, there is one in our local soft play and A loves it .

emski you will have to post a "sexy hair" photo Xmas Grin

Have no cooking or anything to do, heading up to my parents in the morning for breakfast, lunch and leftovers!!

ponyo feel better xxx

Have a brilliant Christmas everyone xxxx

ChestnutsREASTIEingOnTheFire · 24/12/2011 20:06

Well, Alice has already opened one of her presents I just couldn't wait Blush . It's worked a treat as she's spent the past 15 mins trying to put her new happyland people in and out of their london bus we got her Grin . Hope everyone enjoys tomorrow.

blizy I shall be thinking of zoe and will give Alice an extra bug hug for her. Hope you and DH get through tomorrow OK x

OP posts:
wigglesrock · 24/12/2011 20:09

reastie told you - Happyland is the greatest invention ever after McDonalds and Ryan Reynolds Grin

Would you believe it? - the first of the Feb babies are 1 today, jackfrosts girls were born on Christmas Eve last year Shock

Right Mr W is starting to "build" Santa toys, kicking off with As moose rocker!

debka · 24/12/2011 20:22

Hello everyone, MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Just got the stockings all done, so excited, I wish I was 2 again Xmas Grin

blizy what a lovely thing, wiggles has it, she had to give her mummy a kiss. We'll have a candle for Zoe tomorrow too. She is loved and missed by so many people.

wiggles Envy at no cooking, we're banned (by DH) from visiting on Christmas Day. Enjoy being looked after :)

Lots of love to everyone else, have a lovely day tomorrow, see you all in the xmas day catfights on AIBU later in the week Xmas Grin

RobinSparkles · 24/12/2011 21:09

varicoseveined · 25/12/2011 06:35

Peeking in to say merry Christmas and happy first Christmas for our little ones! (my DS was born in Jan 2011 but I was due in Feb if anyone remembers). Smile

hub8allthemincepies · 25/12/2011 07:55

happy christmas to all you lovely ladies and babies. Blizy i get that every so often and i swear its my dad. She came to give her mum a kiss and cuddle and some reassurance. We always have an absent friends candle burning christmas day so we can remember those not here. Zoe will be remembered in this house too.
Freya and tom are still asleep. I am waiting for them to wake up. Freya actually slept all night with no wakings. I am just a little excited this morning though, but i don't want a couple of grumpys so i will let them sleep if only just for another half hour.

ILovePonyo · 25/12/2011 10:45

Happy xmas all!

blizy aww to Zoe bear giving you a xmas kiss, I have never experienced anything like it but fully believe things like that happen. Hope you and dh have a non-festive day (if you know what I mean)

deb xmas day AIBU catfights?! Will keep aneye out for them later!

wiggles my mum is doing all the cooking too, tis great - except I have completely lost my sense of taste and smell Shock We had curry last night and I couldn't taste a thing. Its actually quite depressing but does mean I might lose some weight as I don't see the point eating xmas chocs if I can't taste them Grin

ledkr bloody santa rip off, good idea about getting Dilly a present though Wink

Hi everyone else - A is asleep and we are waiting for my sister to get here before we open presents - HURRY UP!

Grannyapple · 25/12/2011 11:12

blizy thinking of you today & will light a few candles for Zoe...is sweet what you said about her visiting you..perfect timing, she knows her mummy so well & knows you needed her right there & then.

Happy crimbo all Xmas Grin

blizy · 25/12/2011 11:24

Merry Christmas to you all! All is calm here We are not long out of bed. We were met at the door with a present from Santa, a star named for Zoe and the name tag said from Santa. It means so much to know that our little star is thought of today and always. Right I'm off to open my pressures, hope you all have a magical day. X

ChestnutsREASTIEingOnTheFire · 25/12/2011 21:27

Happy Christmas all Grin

We had a good but rather cold day - our boiler decided that last night was the time to break down so I'm currently huddling over a borrowed electric heater Shock . We've left the heated clothes airer on in alices room overnight in the hope it will take the edge off our cold house.

Alice got spoilt rotten of course and I don't know where to put everything! We have royal PIL for lunch tomorrow so more to come yet Wink

blizy hope you're OK. What a lovely idea for the star - do you know who your santa was?

granny sounds v nice just the 3 of you - I'm shattered with all this family stuff!

It's angels1 here with nn change Grin

robin is that a permanent nn change or a festive one?

OP posts:
chocoroo · 25/12/2011 22:17

Happy Christmas one and all.

A bit of an odd one here, DP is ill with an infection and has a raving fever and I'm full of cold and could hardly finish my lunch. I feel bad as my Aunt put loads of effort into lunch but DP had none. R kept everyone going though and has been in great spirits.

Another one wondering where the actual F I am going to keep all her new toys and we haven't even seen DP's side of the family yet or opened half of what we bought her.

I hope you all had lovely days, and blizy I thought of you today, I'm do glad Zoe visited you to give you some peace.

Grannyapple · 25/12/2011 22:43

Evening ladies....sorry to hear of the dreaded lurgy doing the rounds...I fully sympathise-me & dh had it a week or two back. Was awful...& we both still have a horrid cough.

reastie friggin nightmare re boiler..when's the earliest you can get it fixed?
Yes has been a lovely chilled day but still feel like I've been running around all day cooking & keeping the place spotless (well apart from N's new toys). Not sure where all the toys will go & we've still to see my sis (she arrives tomorrow) who is acting as delivery person for all the Glasgow relatives...she has a suitcase full of pressies apparently...had to check in another bag apparently Xmas Shock. But we're kinda lucky in a way that we live 500 miles away as we don't have the family conflicts that go with this time of tear & arguments over who gets to see N first!

All this food & wine has made me sleepy do off to my kip ladies, night night.

RobinSparkles · 26/12/2011 15:20

Afternoon everyone! Hope everyone had a lovely day yesterday! L hasn't even opened all of her presents yet - she got tired, DD1 on the other hand was like rrrip NEXT!

Blitzy That's so lovely that you could feel Zoe there. I occasionally get an overwhelming smell of cigarettes that reminds me of my Dad. No one in my house smokes and I don't allow anyone else to - I'm sure it's him! I used to get it in the kitchen when I lived at home with my mum and I thought it was just memories (he used to sit in the kitchen having a fag and a brew) but I get it at my house too. I'm sure he comes to check up on me Xmas Grin.

Reastie permanent I think! I'm bored of being a sheep. The name is from How I Met Your Mother Xmas Smile

ChestnutsREASTIEingOnTheFire · 26/12/2011 17:13

robin I've never seen that program so had no idea re: the ref Blush

granny Shock to your sis having to check in a whole bag of pressies.

choc hope you all feel better soon, doesn't sound like the chrimbo you had hoped for

How is everyone?

Well, we have had an exhausting boxing day with PIL over. Lunch went down well but I'm trying to do deep breaths of recovering from being a good DIL and submerging my feelings Confused . I honestly don't think I could take a christmas day of just us and PIL - goodness knows how I'll cope with that one if ever we have to. PIL bought alice the most loudest, biggest and most annoying toy I think I've ever seen. I'm not even sure alice likes it that much Hmm . I think it may live in her bedroom out the way with the batteries sabotaged .

boiler still broken. We're still cold Sad

OK, that last message was rather down, I'm going to add a bit of happiness - DH is currently cleaning the kitchen - hurrah Grin

Just a quick howdedoodee Xmas Grin, am burried under a mountain of mini Lalaloopsies and Fruit pastilles. Christmas great here, all in good form. Had a lovely few days, very relaxing Xmas Shock, no rows, sniping etc, most unlike my extended family!!

chocoroo - Its like a toyshop exploded in my living room, and its all my own fault, remind me not to start shopping for Christmas in the summer sales Blush. Hope you and dp feel better xx

RobinSparkles hiya, like the name Xmas Grin

blizy xxx - what a lovely star for your star.

RobinSparkles · 26/12/2011 20:19

I wished my DH would clean the kitchen Reastie. Crap about the boiler though!

OMG, I need to go on a detox when christmas is over - I haven't had a proper meal today, just been stuffing my face with Cadbury Roses Xmas Blush

RobinSparkles · 26/12/2011 20:27

I feel like a toy shop has exploded in my front room too! I don't know where all these toys will live Xmas Hmm

I'm constantly telling DD1 to be careful as every single set that she got for Christmas contains teeny teeny tiny parts that will either end up in L's mouth or in the Hoover!

chocoroo · 26/12/2011 20:42

Hi all

We just arrived home from Up North. Christmas Day was a bit pants, although we both brightened up in time for Downton. R really was on top form so I don't think anyone minded too much. DP is a bit sad he missed her first Christmas dinner and I'm sad I didn't play with her too much. I'll make him a special fake Christmas in a few weeks I think.

Our house is like a toy shop and we haven't seen PIL or any of that side of family yet. I'm trying to reorganise R's toy shelves at the mo, I need to get rid of some of our crap books from her room to make way for some new toys. All very gratefully received though and she's been doing lots of "playing" which we haven't really seen before so it's tres cute,

Hope you're all having lovely Boxing Days. Can't help but reminisce that 3 years ago we spent today in Auckland, drinking beer and watching the cricket. How things change!
