Made and iced Beanie's first birthday cake for us to take to CP with us this evening. (she'll have another on Sunday when family come over). Chocolate fudge with number one on in Smarties, yum!

Had a Code Brown today, Imy'd been trying to poo all afternoon but still hadn't when she went for a nap. Anyway, I went in when she woke, OMG the smell, and there was poo everywhere, exploded out of the nappy (which I very nearly didn't put on her because she did a wee just before bed), all over her clothes and the bed, yuk yuk yuk. You think baby poo explosions are bad? Try 3 year old explosions.

We're off on our jollies tomorrow so you'll not hear from me till Friday. Hope you all keep well, delia best of luck with your interviews (BTW in my head you are now a more together and stylish Miranda, sorry!). Byeeeee!!! xxx

Hi folks...ach, lost a long post! Not been on much but have been lurking...N has been a nightmare, waking up a couple of times each night so dh & I have been shattered. Nowt wrong with him either...been hyper & crawling like a madman at stupid o'clock .

Glad meetup went well blizy & wiggles...& poor A 44me...don't know how you do it!

Happy belated birthday to all the babies...can't believe we are in February...this time last year my days consisted of crap tv & meeting the nct gang for coffee to pass the time!

Ledkr I saw hv on fri & she said to put multi vit drops into cow's milk...tho she didn't say when to stop this . N has been on follow up milk since 6 months...going to try him on cow's milk over the next few weeks...

Off to get ready for work...hoping the roads aren't too treacherous tomorrow...had a fair bit of snow today...didn't go over the door today..

Granny I can sympathise with lack of sleep, for some reason A has been awake at night for past few nights, last night it was 4am crying but thank god she went back to sleep after a bottle. Hope it stops for you very soon

Gets better and better here..... Archie will only 'eat' boob, but then is shitting it all out straight away. Then Imogen shouted after her nap and she was covered in vomit and has has awful nappies. They have been in and out of the bath all afternoon. Imogen has loads of thick hair so has had hair washed and dried twice today (normally only wash it once a week slatterns we are)!! She vomited all over the kitchen. Thank the lord dh has been home all day. Just as she was being sick in wanders Thomas 'what's for me tea Mama???' arrrr. Archie is getting spottier by the minute. Fun fun fun at 44me's house.

Wow 44me, no offence but wouldn't want to be in your shoes at the moment!

If it makes you feel better Anna woke up in the middle of the night last week and threw up right into my hair, she just turned towards me and let rip [yuck yuck yucky] Even in my debauched teenage years never has anyone thrown up on my hair/face - for a minute I just lay there in shock and was wtf but then had to get on with it

Thanks for all the birthday wishes! We had a nice quiet day with some friends over for pizza and cake. I thought I'd shed a tear but I think I'm too tired after all the sickness this week! Hello to everyone else. I have been lurking all day but didn't get round to posting. Going to settle down with a glass of something and Episode 5 of Downton Abbey - we get it all late here. Unsettled night here, he kept whimpering in his sleep, I think it was the spots itching. We did try to give him piriton before bed and he vomited it back up. Imogen is ok, just quiet which is not her norm . They are both asleep now and dh did the slippy cold school run.

tad how funny, I saw JJ at a uni girls reunion a week or so ago. I'm really good friends with her we lived together at uni and she was on the physio course with me. I have met both of her sisters a couple of times at J's wedding and parties. Prob met your bil too! I do seem to remember that G was engaged. She is married now i think. What a small world. Glad S had a good birthday. X

L has been on a mix of formula and cow's milk for a while. He gets milk in his cup at meals and they'll put milk in his bottle at nursery if he's drunk all the formula and wants more. Are the babies supposed to be weaned off bottles at a year?

well, three interviews down, two more to go, but one of today's wants me back for second interview. It was the one for place I had worked before and didn't want to go back to, but actually, I got a totally different impression this time so am keeping an open mind.

We started C on mixed formula and cow's milk (70%+30%) yesterday and she doesn't seem to have noticed the difference.

blizy the HR person is not in today, and that's who my agent (as in recruitment agent, I'm not famous or anything, I mean...honestly...I'm not actually really Miranda, whose career is clearly going from strength to strength), needs to speak to.

I hope I get the Friday one too, but I'm to realise that the this morning one, which in my head was the 'worst case scenario', would actually be alright.

blizy I can't believe I forgot to mention this before, but I dreamt last night that it was your soon-to-be-conceived baby's christening, and we all came, and sang some kind of mumsnet song, the words to which currently escape me, but the tune was a bit like the Rydell High School song in Grease. Hi all.Dilly still has her on and off unexplained temperature.I had a half day today and was planning to visit the toddler group but she was ill when i got home.
Ella is driving me nuts at the moment,so cheeky and moany.She woke me up twice last night to tell me she couldnt sleep and today was horrible within seconds of picking her up from school when i wouldnt let hjer have 2 bars of chocolate.
44MEHow are they all now?There really is nothing like it is there.I remember ds1 puking at night and it was literally like the exorcist,we just stood there in shock or ages.

American Dills is nowhere near off her bottles,she has only recently been enjoying them since her op.I never stress about stuff like that tbh,i just dont let her walk about with it and she will give it up when she is ready.She has 3 a day,finishes the lot and has an extra one if she's moany

American, I'm still feeding S but when I'm not there he has a bottle. He's so hit and miss with his beakers! I want to stop feeding soon though as he's still having at least 4 feeds a day. Enough is enough, but I'm not sure how to go about it at this age.

44me, glad yours are feeling a little better now. Amazing that you're so close to JJ! I never met G's sisters in all the years she was with my BIL, despite how close she is to them. You would have met BIL at JJ's wedding as they broke up during their engagement a year or so later. MIL was absolutely heartbroken for ages afterwards. Tis a small world!

Wish S would stop waking at 5 for a feed. Does he know he's a year old and not a newborn anymore?

ledkr our inspection is tomorrow and wednesday. I'm quaking in my boots. I get so nervous about this kind of stuff (even though I know there's nothing terrible that can happen). Hope yours goes well tomorrow.

Well, Alice is ill . I've never seen her like this actually - she keeps coughing and screaming all the time and nothing will stop her crying which then obv makes her cough worse . She's had a few colds but never been really actually ill ill IYKWIM. I feel so utterly shattered from looking after her today. Dreading tonight esp as I need sleep for the inspection and also dreading MIL looking after Alice tomorrow as she's ill and MIL doesn't do quiet time . Secretly if Alice is really poorly I want to take time off as I know Alice will be more upset having MIL there and wanting me, but I guess I can't do that

On the good news front, I picked up a huuuugggggeeeee box of 1-2 years clothes courtesy of freecycle today . Some really nice bits and a few things like vests and pjs we are all sorted with now , I'm washing everything and if there's anything nice I don't need I'm offering them to needto if we manage to meet up soon (shhh, it's a suprise )

She'll be 6. Disdainful is the right word. I speak to her, she totally blanks me. I speak louder, she blanks me. I shout, she gets all upset that I am cruel. If this is a sign of the teenage years, I might have to drink more wine.

Reastie- Poor Alice. I dont think it's wrong if you have to take a day off go vs with a poorly Alice. Mindees were fine today thanks, had surprise early finish, baby was picked up at 12.30 and the schoolies were all gone by 4 pm

Wiggles- eek to the sicky hair! Baby mindee was a bit sicky last week, he gagged whilst eating his lunch and threw it all up, before I could finish cleaning it up he was shovelling it back into his mouth!

Ledkr- it must be the age with Ella, my little sister is the same such an attitude for a little person. Hope Dilly is better soon.

tad lol I don't have an amazing CV, I happen to have ended up working work in a specialist industry which is very big in our area, so job opportunities abound, it's a proper network of people around here who do what I do. I'm totally not amazing tho!
