Hahahaha at wiggles being shy. Have a lovely meet up,wafts hands in a dismissive way Grin
Just had a lush lasange, yumyum.Have had two large glasses of vino and feel a tad sleepy.
Dilly is so sweet at the moment,i just want to cuddle her,she has a face of bruises as she has fallen off the sofa and down the stairs today.Luckily she landed on a pile of coats (i knew being a slattern would be handy one day)
Having my sis baby shower at mine tomorrow. My Mum has already pissed me off with her over involvment so i will probably keep a low profile for a few weeks after the 2nd coming is born.

Four4me · 03/02/2012 21:10

Hi guys! Hope the meet up goes well wiggles/blizy looking forward to reading about it.

reastie nightmare day at work for you, I need to sort out my bra situation!!! Too scared of getting mastitis if I get an underwired one. Don't know how long I'm going to keep feeding Archie. I've never bf this long before, it is so easy now. He is always with me as I have no life so I have just kept going. My friend was joking about me only stopping feeding him when his wife thinks I should Grin !!!

Delia hope your interview has gone well?

debka · 03/02/2012 21:27

Evening all,

wiggles and blizy have a fabbo meet up, give each other a kiss from me :)

reastie frozen pipes Shock What's this baking club thing then, not for kids presumably? How helpful will it be for you bearing in mind you're gluten free?

delia how did the interview go today? Or is it next Friday?

44me I bfed Imy till she was 13mo, we stopped when I'd had enough. Was only morning and bedtime feeds by then though.

Just back from my run, except I did wk6 r3 instead of r2 which meant I ran for 25mins instead of 10 run, 5 walk, 10 run Shock. Was bloody hard. Took the dog who pulled me along a bit though

Little Beany Bean is getting the hang of this walking lark, she totters the length of the room between me and him now, although she tends to try and run towards me and fall on her face Grin [cute].

Tried to buy a new swimming cozzie today, have you ever tried buying one in February? Do people not swim in the winter? Evidently not. I could have paid £35 for a bikini Grin or a Speedo mankini in Debenhams, thanks but no. They all said, we have them online oh feck off with your online Angry. Got a cute one for Imy though. Got her a packet of old fashioned sweeties too, mixed bag of fried eggs, shrimps, flying saucers etc. One Happy Girl (never really had sweets before).

OK will stop waffling now, have good weekends everyone xxx

reastie · 03/02/2012 21:35

Blimey deb - how are you running in this cold? Shock - I'm imagining you claiming to jog when actually it was one looonnnnngggg skid on the ice Wink . Re: cake club - erm, yes, the point is we make and bring cakes to someones house and then just spend the evening eating them and discussing baking, I'm up for baking chat but I'm wondering if the lack of eating thing will be a bit annoying but good for waistline at least . Will try once and may never go again Grin . Btw I got a swim suit in the end of summer sales last year [canny shopper] - keep meaning to take alice swimming but never got around to it yet Hmm

wiggles and blizy I'm shy too - are we all actually secretly shy except ledkr ? Grin

ledkr Grin to your slattern ways being a plus point. I keep meaning to ask you if (and how) you are maintaining your show home standards you spoke of when pg? I spend my life picking up plastic tat and desperately trying to clean with 'help' from alice

debka · 03/02/2012 21:40

It's dry here reastie so no ice, and I am the picture of sartorial elegance in my carefully selected outfit. This consists of t shirt, long sleeved t shirt, black hoodie, wanker jacket hi-vis vest, tights, 3/4 length jogging affairs, socks, trainers, pink hat, white woolly gloves (a recent addition, which really round off the outfit nicely I think).

I am not shy. Embarrassingly not shy. My girls are ashamed of me already Grin

reastie my house is 100000 miles from show home BUT the rule is put one toy away before you get out another. Makes it very slightly easier to keep things neat. Ish.

reastie · 03/02/2012 21:51

deb does Bean follow the one toy in/one out logic? I think Alice would laugh and dribble a bit in the face of such ideas Hmm Grin . Love the jogging gear. Got an email from a jogging group I used to be a member of and still on their circulars list saying their jogs were on this week end and there's no such thing as bad weather when it comes to jogging, just bad clothing Hmm

debka · 03/02/2012 21:55

Nah, not yet, it's more a rule for me and Imy atm. Oh yes, bad clothing, and mine is very very bad! Good job I run in the dark!

Four4me · 03/02/2012 22:11

deb Grin at wanker jacket.......!!!!!!!

ILovePonyo · 04/02/2012 00:43

Well well, just thought you would all like to know A is wide awake again and being a nutter Hmm crawling round and squealing like nobodies business - its like every couple of weeks she decides to have her own little rave and chase the cats and shout I thought she was poorly until I got her properly up and realised she's just nuts.

wigs and blizy not long now til meet up! Exciting. blizy well done surviving the tyre and making it to the hotel in one piece, I would have freaked out.

deb wanker jacket Grin I am planning to try a run on mon if I can (shh don't tell anyone) Will deffo be running in the dark!

Oh god A is now nodding at nothing and bouncing up and down... at nothing. Have just reaised she's had calpol - there must be a link Hmm

*delia8 hope interview went well :)

Hi Four4 better go as she is crying now....

tadjennyp · 04/02/2012 00:57

Been meaning to post all day, but didn't get round to it. Had to pick out the pottery that the kids will paint for A's party and the day has just flown by. Hope K had a lovely birthday!

I'm so impressed with the weight loss, jogging, interviewing, baking club and nights out!

tadjennyp · 04/02/2012 01:00

oo, x-posted Ponyo. Hope A has settled down now. Would she be better with an own brand, or do they contain the same additives?

Yes - v exciting about Wiggs and blizy's meet up. Hope all is going well with the rest of the journey.

ledkr · 04/02/2012 08:33

ponyo it must be the calpol but i cant help laughing.hope she is settled now.
reastie See if you were taking your ad's you'd have been in hysterics at your day at work which sounds like a carryon film.Weekend work not so funny tho.We have an inspection due at work too but cos im only just
back i should be ok.Dilly gets the whole house of toys out too and plays with each one for a few seconds, she prefers the remote control, laptop or phone.
My house is certainly not as it used to be but we do have a playroom so i just chuck it in there,i find the floors hard to keep clean with a crawling, drooling and dropping food baby tho.
deb You must post a pic of your joggin outfit.Well done on the run though,i have been opting for shredding in the warm instead.
I once had to try and get a cossy in October,i ended up with size 20 bikini bottoms (tied at the sides so i just pulled it tight)but still looked ridicluous. I also wore a vest top as couldnt find a bra top. It was the story i told you about the cardiff marathon, lots of booze and a man with his balls hanging out of his trunks.Remember??
4for I fed ds3 till he was 14 months but i was small boobed so just wore ordinary primark bras.Have you looked online for advice?
I had a funny thought last night about wiggs and blizy trying to communicate in their broad scottish and irish accents Grin

ledkr · 04/02/2012 08:35

tad how odd about the fb thing.I dont do fb but have been spotted on peoples pictures, normally the worse for wear in some pub Blush

Four4me · 04/02/2012 14:10

Loving the drunk ledkr lurking drunkenly on fb photos. There are a few of me worse for wear on there too. tadjen what are the initials of this friend of mine that is the dsis of your dbil's ex fiancée? Am going to have a search through my friends list. Strangely excited to me nearly 'related' to you!!!!!!!!

ponyo hope A settled down last night and let you get some shut eye.

Well my Archie pants has been Mr Cling-on the last few days and had a bit of a high temp and now I know why. He has chickenpox. Was feeding him at lunchtime and thought 'oh look he has a blister on his forehead, oh and another in his hair and another etc etc' they are literally popping up in front of my eyes. He seems better in himself today. Thomas and Joseph have had them at the same time when they were 2 and 1. But Imogen hasn't had them so I may be housebound for some time. I have been a responsible Mummy and text everyone with little ones that we have been in contact with. Difficulty is going to be the school run this week. To those of you with older ones - dh is away some of next week, do you this it ok to bundle him/them (when Imogen gets it) in the buggy. We walk to school and will be outside at drop off and pick up. I daren't ask on the other mn boards as they'll probably eat me for breakfast. Oh and we have a covering of snow, yippee excited children, then ten mins later- cold and wet children and loads of washing...... Bar humbug! Quite pretty to look at though. X

ledkr · 04/02/2012 18:43

4for In my house too.Ella was beside herself when it snowed before she realised it was too late to go sledging.queue lots of sulking and tears. I am a terrible parent not going out in the snow in the dark Hmm
Dills has been clingy,i have been carrying her about in the sling,i wonder if she is getting the pox too.
I have just noticed she has exzema on her back and face so she is having an emolient bath before i smother her in aqueous cream.
I hope Archie is ok.

reastie · 04/02/2012 18:50

ledkr we've got loads of bath/lotion stuff for Alice on prescription free - might be worth getting some for Dilly I use it too . Btw your drunken pictures are exactly the reason why you should join fb so we can have a giggle

four4 uh oh to the pox. DH and I are trying to decide whether to pay for Alice to get the vaccine. Can't offer any knowledge re: taking them to school afraid.

No snow here yet Hmm but keep checking the window just incase Blush . If it could be enough so I can't get to school next week for the inspection that would be good please Grin . Spent the ENTIRE afternoon doing paperwork ready for it. I'm all exhausted and angry now at losing all my spare time. Still got more to do too. I was forced to eat a bar of chocolate to get me through Blush

blizy and wiggles have a great time tomorrow - can't wait for updates

ponyo have you tried other baby painkillers to see if it gives the same reaction?

deb are you running in the cold again tonight in your gorgeous gear ?

delia any news? How is C sleeping now btw?

We picked up a smart trike for Alices bday today. Going to test it out tomorrow if snow permits (she won't know it's her bday pressie). She looked v excited by it when I pushed her up and down the hall in it Grin

Deliaskis · 04/02/2012 19:01

Hi ladies,

Interview went well I think. It's always difficult to tell at 1st interview I think, as it's usually just a chat, so I thought it went well and conversation was flowing well etc. but they might have secretly thought I was horrid, so who knows! I have another one Monday morning and one on Thursday, so I'm really hoping something comes through from one of them.

reastie C has been sleeping better actually, we did a bit of hardcore ignoring of the yelling for a few days, and she's been much better, and today, she seemed to know it was Saturday as she slept until 7.45!

4for I can answer your CP question as there was a mn ding-dong about this a few weeks ago, but most people agreed that school run in buggy was fine as long as you waved people off if they got too close. Older kids have to go to school, and for most people there is no other option.

Ponyo sorry but Grin at A's raves every few weeks. Sorry though, because I know it must be a nightmare really.

Tis v snowy here now, and DH has just got back from dropping C at his Mum's (lie-in in the morning!), and we have winter tyres on his car, so he's been zippping up and down the hills no problem, but people are wheel spinning and abandoning cars everywhere, and looking baffled at DH's seemingly magical ability to get traction on everything. We have friends coming for dinner, and Dh has got to go and pick them up cos they're stuck Confused.

Have a good evening everyone, and stay safe if you're out and about in the snow.

D

ILovePonyo · 04/02/2012 20:08

Hi all, well I have done some t'internet research and apparently there is an e number in Calpol that can affect babies, plus this was asda calpol so it might have been worse Hmm Grin Anyway last night little baby rave went on til about 1.30 then she was awake at 4.30 too, bah. dp got up with her in the mornng and I slept til 11am Shock

tadj shame A started yelling last night, we could have had a middle of the night chat! Hope S has a lovely birthday, pizza and birthday cake sounds fab. A is going to have pizza and chips for her birthday tea, chips are her favourite food Hmm and she only usually gets them when we're out having something to eat to keep her quiet

Back later tea is ready - having lasagne, garlic bread and salad, yum.

ledkr · 04/02/2012 20:41

ponyo I think i scoffed at dil when she said calpol made dgs mad Blush I tend to use nurofen tho as she takes it easier as its in smaller doses.
I has lasagne and salad last night it was lush.Dilly adores chips too.
Dills was knackered tonight after a busy day at my sis baby shower here.
Its so weird to think that this time last year you guys were all waiting to pop and we were back in hospital with our poorly little girl Sad
Its thick snow here now and still falling. I hate the blooming stuff tbh, makes life so difficult.

ILovePonyo · 04/02/2012 20:44

I'm back...

four4 oh no to the pox, I am dreading A getting it. Hope it is all over quickly for you all.

Ledkr Grin at wigs and blizy trying to understand each other. Poor dils with her sore skin, hope the cream and bath help.

Delia bet you were great at the interview! Good luck for next week too.

Reastie it sounds really crappy having to spend so much time doing work stuff, to be honest I'd hate it. I'm lucky that I can pretty much leave work on wed and not think about it again til Monday morning. Have you spoken to your dh about stopping work again?

I'm on my phone and have forgotten what people have said, sorry.
Oh reastie and deb in particular, today I made rice pudding for A and managed to ruin it completely, it boiled over and there was burnt on milk all over the pan and the hob Grin then nearly did the same again when I made it a second time, and she didn't bloody eat it anyway Hmm Wink

ILovePonyo · 04/02/2012 20:48

X post ledkr, A has had ibuprofen medicine too and I don't think it makes her as bonkers so we'll stick with that I think. I would have scoffed at people who claim that calpol makes babies hyper before this too Grin
Lasagne was ok but the pasta sheets weren't quite cooked enough, god it's kitchen disasters here today.
I can't believe I was pregnant this time last year, it seems like ages ago, much longer than a year anyway!

Four4me · 04/02/2012 20:57

Glad your interview seemed to go well Delia all the best for the next ones. Thanks for the CP school run advice, that is probably what I will have to do. Some of the CP threads seem to implode on here, it is one of those highly flammable topics! He might be starting to scab over by Monday anyway. I can just stand at the edge of the playground with the double buggy. The ridiculous thing is I was stood amongst everyone at pick up yesterday when he will of been contagious but not spotty.

ledkr poor badly treated Ella, don't you just hate badly done by children. I asked Joseph to run and get me another packed of baby wipes yesterday during changing a 'code brown' nappy (stolen term from the wiggles household). He was all huffy and why me, I'm watching deadly 60 huff huff huff. So I yelled calmly told him that I would be difficult with him when he wanted taking to is friends house to play etc etc........ Arrr

Well Archie is ok, quite spotty and not eating much. Poor boy, his nappy area is covered in spots and looks awful. Have got some aqueous cream with calamine in it which is much easier to apply than the calamine lotion. Lots of extra cuddles for him, bless.

chocoroo · 04/02/2012 20:57

Hello!

I'm here. I'm here. Thank you to those who have missed me! I wish I could say its cos I have all my work friends back.

Totally crap couple of weeks with lots of illness. After R's stint in hospital with tonsillitis she managed a whole week of being I'll before the next thing. She's now been throwing up since Wednesday (to add insult to injury DP went away two hours before she started and got back late last night). No idea what's causing it - she didn't chunder yesterday at all but started today with three efforts. NHS reckon she's full of snot and that's the cause Hmm

I have tried to catch up so definitely want to wish all the babies a very Happy Birthday. How many are having Smart Trikes? I planned to buy one for R today but plans cancelled due to sick and snow.

I hope wiggles and blizy had a fab meet up. I think we're off to Dublin in a few weeks....you should drive down and meet us wiggles

So I promise to keep up now. Work has been manic (when I've been in!) which is great but a bit MN unfriendly!

Four4me · 04/02/2012 20:59

Xposted both ledkr and ponyo. Took me so long to type and eat my cream slice. Glad A has 'come down' again..........

ILovePonyo · 04/02/2012 21:09

Grin at 'come down' Four4 - for now! Poor Archie, hope the cream is nce and soothing, enoy the cuddles anyway!

Hi choco god you've had a rough time, and R too by the sounds of things, I am Hmm at it just being snot, bleurgh. Smart trikes eh, I'll have a look in a mo. You've reminded me, we spent £50 on stair gates today, what a boooring way to spend £50 Wink
