Thanks for lovely support re C, I'm pleased (and relieved) to report the ABs seem to be doing th trick, temp has settled (no Calpol since last night!) and she's much more herself. Ledkr funny what you said about being in the garden, I think that's the approach, really the convulsion seems like 'the problem' but actually that's the body's solution to the problem, and the problem itself is the fever so yes, I've learnt we need to cool by any which way we can. And of course solving the problem that causes the fever (i.e. the infection) means that goes away too and happy days!
She's still not eating much (just yoghurt and bread and fruit at the mo) but she's drinking loads of water (struggling with milk a bit tho) so I guess she'll pick up with the other stuff in her own time.
Deb so pleased to hear about your Mum, fantastic news, happy for you.
reastie glad work is going OK, and hope your class of horrors aren't more thean averagely horrendous today. I can't really help with the BF questions, only that other Mums I know have just gone back to work and after a couple of weeks, baby and Mum have settled into just morning and night BFs. She will be fine.
Ledkr that is a bit in at the deep end at work, but I suppose it's in a way good to actually have real work to get your teeth into rather than fannying around with paperwork to start off with????
Sorry Ponyo and Ledkr and expat and anyone else with poorly babies. Hope they get better soon.
Ponyo C sleeps less at nursery, and usually just one sleep, or if she is shattered she sneaks in a tiny one later during the Time When Mummy Doesn't Normally Let Her Sleep (i.e. after 4pm), but you just have to go with it, it hasn't affected her night time sleep, and hasn't affected what we do at the weekends, although I do think we're approaching the stage of dropping the second nap too.
Choc
at your little walker. How exciting! C is now walking holding one hand only and when she wobbles I try and hold the other hand but she bats it away. She stands on her own sometimes and claps really proudly. Still no crawling here tho (weird baby!).
wiggles yes hosp stays with babies are horrid. Really worrying, and on a really selfish note, no sleep, no OH to help, no food at all for parents, just generally stressful! Let's hope it doesn't happen too often. Is A's fungal infection on the mend?
blizy bit late but I totally understand not wanting a baby girl mindee. It's extra upset and feelings that you can do without. I can't imagine anyone not understanding that.
Better go and do some work, hope today is going OK for everyone.
