Hilarious stories Four4me, you sound so laid back, guess you have to be with 4 little ones!

Good luck to Reastie and Ledkr for tomorrow, will be thinking of you both.

Sorry to be the poorly babies and their mummies. Noah has two teeth coming thru. They've been coming thru for ages but he seems to be in pain now so has been crying t night a bit, poor baby, he's eating so much food tho, I literally start running out of food when he's having a meal!

He has started an obsession with the washing machine and spent 15 minutes this evening, putting something in it , closing the door, crawling to me, then going back, opening the door again and getting the item out again. Tres cute!

Hope all ok, dh is away for work until Thursday night! Not looking forward to looking after the boys alone but will be nice to have the tv remote to myself!

debka · 08/01/2012 20:56

Hey everyone!

44me that is utterly, utterly vile, I can imagine one of mine doing that too though [totally lax mother] I think I remember Imy eating the chocolate out of a mouse trap before (that we'd caught a mouse in already) Grin

ledkr Envy at boots, I love a bargain, we got our MASSIVE dining room table in the sale at IKEA, it's this one, £299, we paid £60!! Shock

reastie I'll be thinking of you tomorrow, very best of luck, walk in with your head held high you fantastic woman and mother :)

delia poor C, hope she is on the mend soon, and hope you get some sleep tonight grannyapple.

blizy you are hardcore with your horrors, I saw the Ring about 6 years ago and it's never left me

Just did week 2 run 2, I enjoyed it, what the heck is happening to me????

debka · 08/01/2012 20:58

x post emski, hope you enjoy your DH free time, you can do what you want to do instead

Four4me · 08/01/2012 21:01

ledkr · 08/01/2012 21:02

Emski76 · 08/01/2012 21:35

Four4me,yes both boys and dh are blonde, I am dark haired so people often say they look nothing like me, much to my annoyance! Would be great if we were rl friends, we could put the kids in a room together and have a drink and a rest!

Deb, so glad you are enjoying the running,I used to love it! Have been on the X Box loads exercising and playing games so feeling quite good myself!

Ivevern looking at the organised thread, and hav got one fab tips! I'm already fairly organised but have taking some of the tips and m looking forward to implementing them! I love lists and structure so it'll be great!

Watching Big with Tom Hanks, I sky Plussed it at Xmas, I LOVE it!

ILovePonyo · 08/01/2012 22:17

Good luck people with work tomo! I'm including myself in that as it feels like I've been away for aaages.

44me massive Grin at Tom eating anything and everything especially "look daddy sweeties", that made me laugh, he sounds so cute!

delia poor C, hope her temp is staying down. Do you have any idea what it might be? Hope she is better tomo and back to her usual self.

MizK dp and I went to that brazilian place on wed when A was at nursery! Its soooo yum isn't it - I was not restrained and ate like a pig and had pudding, nom. A does some cute dancing sometimes, apparently she was dancing to pixie lott at nursery (Hmm at Anya)

reastie hope you're feeling better now. From my own experience I worried loads more before the actual going back to work took place, on the day it was fine. I am a bit of a worrier though and often find the more I stress the easier whatever it is I am stressing about is! Good luck.

american Shock at being pregnant some time this year, I am impressed at your planning, sounds like you have to plan it though? Well do keep us up to date, maybe you and blizy will be expecting around the same time?! Grin

blizy how was the film?

emski where is this organised thread you speak of?

Am off to bed soon ready for work tomo, hope all goes well for everyone else back at work too :)

Emski76 · 08/01/2012 22:23

Ponyo, the thread is on the chat board and is a discussion of the day. I'm going to try meal planning too. I always feel like I'm chasing my tail so it'll be good to feel more 'together'.

Expat, I love that your planning your next pregnancy. Fingers crossed for you and Blizy x

wigglesrock · 09/01/2012 10:39

Morning
Hope work goes well for reastie and ledkr I'm not back until Friday and Sofia went back to school this morning so have some time to myself Shock, well with Anna but you know what I mean Grin

Have finally turned a bit of a corner yesterday with Anna and her not being well. Had a hellish few days but was back at Dr this morning (not dishy one). Her sores/blisters have started to clear up and she is certainly a happier baby, up to all her old tricks Grin.

Glad I missed the pfb stories, afraid I'd be bottom of the class Grin

My best friend is in labour and is going through a bit of a hard one, its her third and her waters broke last night, everything went well for a few hours and then completely stopped. Baby is back to back so it very tough. Sofia was back to back the whole time so I know how feckin' painful uncomfortable Grin it can be.

Hope everyone has a good day, off to catch up on housework, afraid I've been using Annas being sick to completely revert to slattern mode.

americanexpat · 09/01/2012 10:40

Ponyo - ideally we'd wait until L is a bit older but I can't be doing with only 8 weeks of mat leave. You all don't know how good you have it. Grin

hubbard - well done to Freya!

44me - Loved your stories. I'm a negligent laid-back mother and can see that happening with L. What you said about having the baby to deflect attention from yourself is absolutely true for me too.

Emski - I love Big, we watched it on telly a few months ago. Tom Hanks looks so young in it.

Right, I left L at nursery this morning, didn't shed a tear but may have had something in my eye. They said I could phone to check on him but I think it might be best for me if I don't.

blizy · 09/01/2012 11:13

wiggles I hope you friens is ok. Enjoy your me time!

american wow 8 weeks maternity Shock that is really grim! I am sure Leon will be just fine in nursery. Hope you are ok though?

I am back to work today, well kind of. I only have my after school gang. I am loving only having the baby 2 days a week, to be honest I dont think i could with any more. I had an enquiery (sp)? on Friday about taking on a baby girl full time, I had another panic attack afterwards. I just can't take on a girl.

I really should be cleaning this house, I'm off to scrub up.

Oh reastie and ledkr hope your day goes well.

wigglesrock · 09/01/2012 13:13

My friend had her baby girl Grin - all good! Totey - 6lb 2 - Brona. Now can I risk a visit without wishful thinking? Grin.

blizy hope your cleaning is going better than mine Blush

blizy · 09/01/2012 13:44

Fab news wiggles! Cleaning has be done and after school snacks for kids made. Grin

Four4me · 09/01/2012 14:05

Hi guys am allowed back now you all know what a rubbish laid back mummy I really am.

wiggles glad Anna is better and you are enjoying a quiet(er) house. The boys went back today, but it is a bit weird as it is Josephs birthday and I hate them not being at home on their special day. It is easier with the two little ones Esp when their naps coincide -like now! Congratulations to your friend and snap my friend had her second baby this morning too.....Poppy 8lb2 she was due to be induced tomorrow phew.

bilzy poor you about the panic attack, I had them for a while after I had Thomas, horrid. I know it is a personal question and please feel free to totally ignore but do you tell the prospective mindee's what you have been through?

expat hope L loves nursery and that work is going ok?

Well tomorrow is a big day for Imogen, she is going for a trial hour at a little nursery near the boys school. She is going to do two mornings a week. She is totally ready for it, but I'm I? ......see I really am a bit precious123&4born!!!! Grin

blizy · 09/01/2012 17:19

44 me- yay for your friends baby!

With my newest mindee, his parents already know about Zoe through a mutual friend. I sent a text out to my mindees parents a few weeks after in had Zoe to let them know. I didn't really get the chance to say the lady on Friday as i was put on the spot, she knocked on my door as i was having dinner. If she comes back to me I will explain all then, but I won't be taking on her child.

I just had a surprise visitor, the lady who conducted Zoe's funeral and our wedding! I had just arrived back from school pick up when she knocked on the door. It was lovely to see her!

Reastie and ledkr, how was your day?

Expat how was Leon in nursery?

Granny- I keep forgetting to reply to you! Go you with the running, I hope your Dh is ok? I would like to sponsor you, if you could let us know how to nearer the time?

reastie · 09/01/2012 18:16

four4 my face did this Shock Confused Grin Hmm in that order when I read the sweetie story. Hope (and I'm sure) Imogen enjoys nursery

ledkr how did things go?

wiggles fab news re: your friend

expat hope everything went well today and Shock at 8 weeks mat leave - do many people bf in USA? Can't see how people would easily be able to with such little leave Hmm

blizy it's completely understandable re: baby girl - you do what feels right and manageable for you. x

Well, work was OK (ish) today, although it will be tomorrow that tests me as students are back tomorrow. So, I'll withold judgement until tomorrow. I admit to crying having something in my eye as I drove to work though.

Four4me · 09/01/2012 18:29

reastie so glad it was okish, have been thinking of you.

blizy have read back my post and didn't make it clear why I asked you that question. I certainly didn't mean that there was anything neg about you not telling them, more because I was worried that they would say upsetting things to you without realizing....oh shit I'm not making much sense so I'll shut up. Totally can see why the baby girl full time would be far to difficult. Anyway when the next baby blizy is on his/her way please feel free to pm or private fb message me if you have any screening questions, I'm happy to discuss and support you. X

Four4me · 09/01/2012 18:31

And so sweet of your surprise visitor, some people are just good souls.

ledkr · 09/01/2012 18:53

Hi all.
Work was ok,i had over 900 e mails some of them telling me my in box was full Confused No clients as yet tho so very slow and boring just re setting passwords and reading up on stuff.
My boss is still a knob. I am entitled to an extra hours travel time each day due to having been re located,he wants me to take it as toil (time owing in liue) Um no,its for sodding travel time. If he kicks off im going to ask him why it makes such a difference to him and threaten to go to hr,he so pedantic.
I went to bed last night early so id be refreshed.Ella woke me at 10 to say ahe could hear some murderers downstairs Hmm I asked what murderers sound like and she said "murderous"
I put her on my floor on a matress.Dilly then woke every 30 mins from 10.30 till 1am when dh cam in from his shift and took over.I woke at 6 with a cracking headache, forgot i had work and took 2 Syndol, woke at 7.30 as if id shot up some heroin, all dopey and stoned Shock I had to have a few coffees before i could get off to work and i had a terrible headache alllll day.
I felt very deprived of tv,especially as id sky plussed American Horror and cbb and couldnt spend all day watching it.
reastie you will get used to it honestly and i always love the example i set my kids, they all have a fabulous work ethic and Ella has a lot of ambition.
Off to catch up with all your news, better be some good stuff.

Grannyapple · 09/01/2012 20:08

Ah blizy you're just too kind..and a good soul yourself!

Dh is ok...we found out as we were trying for a baby....it's a metabolic disorder...& some of the symptoms is myoclonic jerks, falling a lot (which he does as his muscles get tired v quickly due to lactic acid building up too quickly)...& exercise intolerance, which we both laughed at as he is not mr fit....but is the skinniest member of his family Grin. But day to day, it means he's nervous carrying N in case he falls & drops him (we've had a fair few trips to a&e for his falls) & can't really feed N due to the jerking (N makes enough mess as it is, without dh adding to it Grin).

But since his diagnosis we've found out it is passed through the maternal gene on his mum's side...boys can't pass it on (mitochondria is in tail of the sperm apparently) but girls can. His older sis defo has it (the mw) so she's a bit concerned for her daughter.

The charity I found was set up by a young mum who lost her baby girl to it at 7/8 months...have emailed her re; joining the team & she's local to me so we're gonna meet for a coffee one day...she hasn't really heard of adult cases of it so we're kinda exchanging experiences. Don't get details til early feb so will let you know details when I get them...& thanks for the lovely & kind gesture.

Well N is a grubber!! Ate everything at nursery, came home, took my apple off of me & starting eating it , had a huge dinner portion, some pineapple & then a yoghurt....he soo better sleep thru tonight after having all that Grin

Grannyapple · 09/01/2012 20:15

Oh & glad work was ok-ish reastie & ledkr..and agree ledkr, ur boos does sound like a knob...tell him straight I say! He's sounds like he's on some power trip..

blizy · 09/01/2012 20:19

44me- I didn't think you were being negative about the question. Thank you for the
Offer of advice re: future screening, I may just call you on that. Hope Joseph had a fab birthday.

Granny- that is so sad about the lady's baby girl. I hope things are ok for sil and her daughter.

Reastie- I'm sure you will ace it tomorrow.

Ledkr Grin at Ella and her murderers.

Hope everyone is ok Smile.

debka · 09/01/2012 20:34

grannyapple Blush I seem to have missed something- are you raising money for a charity which helps the illness your DH has? Sounds miserable BTW, hope you are both coping. What a relief that it isn't hereditary for your DH though.

wiggles well done to your friend, but I'm not actually sure which of the strange forrin words you wrote are actually the name Blush

ledkr I can't imagine that your boss will hold out long under The Force That Is Ledkr Grin Boo to your grotty night but I love murderous Grin

reastie well done for getting the first day out of the way, hold your head up high tomorrow girl :)

S has been really tired and whingey today, seems to have woken from all three of her naps still tired, hope she sleeps well tonight. She took a step today, tres exciting, don't think she meant to though!

My mum's going to the Marsden tomorrow for the results of her latest scan, we're all feeling anxious about what it will show up. She was meeting with a lady vicar who has a special ministry visiting, listening, letting people cry, counselling etc. She was a very very important person for my mum, helped her work through lots of issues from her childhood, and because of that for our whole family. Anyway a few months ago she went to the dr because she couldn't feel her leg, dr sent her for tests, she was diagnosed with advanced cancer and within a week had lost all use of her body and gone into a hospice, the hospice my mum uses sometimes. She died this week, which was a blessed relief for her of course, she was in so much pain, but it just brings home the situation my mum is in. It could (probably will) be her next. :( I'm going with my mum to the funeral in Canterbury Cathedral next week, that'll be hard....

blizy · 09/01/2012 20:55

Debka I am GrinGrinGrin at you not understanding wiggles forrin! Toyed - small/ tiny and the baby's name is Brona.

I am really sorry to hear of your mums vicar friend. I hope your mum gets the results she wishes for. It must be so hard for you living with the not knowing and being brave for your mum. I am thinking of you. X

blizy · 09/01/2012 20:56

Bloody phone! Totey - small/tiny.
