FuzzzyDuck · 20/01/2012 18:22

fleecy I see our daughters share the same name Grin

FuzzzyDuck · 20/01/2012 18:54

Aww, S just rolled herself from her back onto her tummy!!! Grin
16 wks old today Smile

MamaMaiasaura · 20/01/2012 19:00

fuzzy yay Grin did she give you a big from or a bot shocked? Bless we what a milestone and wow 16 weeks already. It's funny looking back with ds1 the hv really pushed solids at that age, crazy.

Scheherezade · 20/01/2012 19:09

fd s has to stop being so clever, she makes C look so lazy Grin

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 20/01/2012 19:29

I agree sche mhairi is also really lazy in comparison but she is 3.5 wks younger Grin
Well done S!!

Can't remember who asked but I missed the midwife thing the other night gonna try and get it online (was it BBC?) I have read the book though and it was really good would def recommend.

Scheherezade · 20/01/2012 19:36

C is one week older! He's not spent much time on his back mind, he's only recently consented to it, he only used to like his chair.

Scheherezade · 20/01/2012 19:51

Ffs this child just WILL NOT go to sleep. He has such a block with it atm. He drops off, and 5-10 mins later just wakes up screaming. I've tried leaving him Emma- he gets hysterical, turns purple, chokes, and vomits. Am not going to risk him choking to death.

..right, he's only chuntering and half arsed complaining. Will wait and see how this goes. His slumber bear batteries have gone, not helpful :(

Scheherezade · 20/01/2012 19:52

Argh!!!!! Stupid phone can't handle the thread.

Also put, thanks for your support everyone, you're all fab :) I'd be going doolally without this thread!

Scheherezade · 20/01/2012 19:53

I think he's gone. Time for KFC!

BB3 · 20/01/2012 20:15

I do read non chick lit too, I must have read a thousand splendid suns 20 times. But I also like to mix those with chick lit, twilight, vd and true blood! My best friend is quite a well known (but fairly new) chick lit author and lives a fabulous life in new York so I like to help her researching her competitors! Wink

My babies are four months old today (and not rolling!!) Edie-May is almost there but Ayse-Rose just lays on her back laughing at you!

I sent their passports off today £49 each!!! This twin malarky is blooming expensive buying double of everything. I am now looking for a second buggy as we'll be taking the kids to see dh's family 4 times a year so want a pram to lug on and off planes but that's strong enough to support little ones x

Sorry for me post! Hope everyone's ok - sch has the little man gone down?

BB3 · 20/01/2012 20:16

Crossed posts! Fingers crossed!

FuzzzyDuck · 20/01/2012 20:29

Thanks everyone Smile. She started the other night while on her changing may trying to flip but just got in a muddle lol. She won't do it again now haha! Make me out to be a liar Blush

bb3 I love a thousand splendid suns. I was hooked reading it the first time. There are a few others of that genre, 'half a yellow moon' and 'purple hibiscus' (font a hope in hell of my spelling her name!) but they are also wonderful. I am always on the look out for similar. Also love Jodi picoult books, although haven't read much in a while. Where are you finding the time?! If your after a decent double buggy, my friend always raves about the maclaren. I have the single one, and love it.

S just finishing her milk then it's off to bed for her. In gonna enjoy a glass of wine and some junk food Grin

FuzzzyDuck · 20/01/2012 20:30

Oh and spill the beans, who's your author friend living the life in new york?! EnvyEnvyEnvyEnvy

FuzzzyDuck · 20/01/2012 20:31

P.P.S happy 4 months to the girlies!!

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 20/01/2012 20:37

Just watched call the midwife was v good (although not as good as the book)
I do find it fascinating the conditions that people lived in then when you consider it really wasn't that long ago it's quite barbaric and v sad! I do think we take far too much for granted these days!

Hmmm what else can I do/watch dh has gone on a boys night again have sickened myself of twilight have nothing left in sky+ and tv is crap!

Scheherezade · 20/01/2012 20:53

Oh wow! Happy four months little girls :)

FuzzzyDuck · 20/01/2012 20:59

I'm watching celeb bb Grin. Such a lover of trashy tv!

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 20/01/2012 21:05

Am watching new girl, then I'll have a rummage through the dvds

BB3 · 20/01/2012 21:14

OOoh I'll try them. I loved The Help too (but the film is AWFUL!). I read at night mostly but I do not have the ability to put a book down if I like it so I am not allowed to read constantly. DH makes me have at least a week between books BUT he is out tonight with his friends so I might start a new one.

I love Jodi Picoult books but they are very dark sometimes and I can't always get my head round some of the topics being written about.

She writes the I heart series (I heart New York, I heart Hollywood, I heart Paris, I heart Vegas and also The single girls to do list), I've really missed her (especially recently) and I've been too pregnant to visit her (thankfully she comes back a lot). I am going over for my 30th this year (and hopefully before) and I cannot wait!

Fleecy · 20/01/2012 21:16

Yes they do share a name fd - and there is also an Oct baby sharing a name with DS!

Well done S on rolling over. Two babies rolling already! I don't expect L to start any time soon. When DD1 had her 8mo check up she had only rolled over once but the health visitor said she would sign her off taking my word for that Grin You never know though - babies are full of surprises!

Four months already. The time has flown by hasn't it?

BB3 · 20/01/2012 21:17

Thanks ladies, I cannot believe they are 4 months already! I've just watched the latest series of Vampire diaries online and now I am on Private Practice! I love American medical dramas!

FuzzzyDuck · 20/01/2012 21:24

I enjoyed the help to! Couldn't help out have an American accent in my head while reading it! Def look out for those books. My local library never had them in and I just happened to walk by a charity shop and they were in the window!! Got them both really cheap. I could read them over and over. Will look out for your friends books. Envy of you going to new york. Iv been a few times and loved it. Would move there in a minute!!!

MamaMaiasaura · 20/01/2012 21:26

Lots of tears here Sad tummy I think. Both boys stuffed full of cold too.

BB3 · 20/01/2012 21:41

Poor J - MM hope she settles soon.

FD - I know, I LOVE New York, I've only been a couple of times too but I just love it, the first time i went with my two best friends and we all love it so much - so much so, one of them bloody well moved over there! I wouldn't live there I don't think - It's a whole different way of life but I love having her there so I have reasons to go and visit (and shop) every year!

The girls have been zonked for a couple of hours and I really should go to sleep but I am now too engrossed in my programme to go. I WILL regret this tomorrow.

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 20/01/2012 21:54

For those with sling experience, I'm doing a charity walk tomorrow will be between 3-5miles round a loch and will prob be quite cold was thinking in putting M in sling what clothes should she wear? I don't have a coat that can go round us both so should she wear a snowsuit or would that be too warm?
