Just popping on as have to head to bed after a busy day baking and making. Off to see my Mum's side of the family tomorrow in Sheffield for some festive fun. R is in great demand so slightly worried about how she'll take to that!

jane Your wedding sounds gorgeous. Love that you did the legal bit in your jeans and t-shirt! Awesomes! I'm really rather keen to get married sooner rather than later so you've given me some lovely ideas!

wiggles Good on ya for telling work what's what. What parts are being rehearsed for the nativity?

ledkr Ahhhh. Me and R would have come and met you tomorrow if we weren't away. I'm also looming forward to the X factor final. Will be at mums so need to make sure I get control of tv!

reastie I think I might join you trying SW. I really need a kick up the ass! Not sure my Christmad Pudding Bonbons for into it though...

ponyo Well done to A. R has her room at about 18 too. She's a hot baby generally - just had a sleeping bag and PJ's on. She starts with a blanket but wanders round her cot so loses it.

Sorry to those I've missed but have ha Wine do cannot be trusted!

R is still loving nursery. She's gained a top tooth this week as well. It's just poking through - cant help but think they look so much bigger with teeth. She's also started doing dancing and shaking her head for no this week. Very cute. I agree ledkr They really are good fun at this age!

Ha ha reastie is it indeed the song I didn't want, I had to give Dh some input.Grin. We watched that film too, thought it was utter pants!

Ponyo hope anya has a repeat of last night.

Chocco I was wearingy converse hi-tops under my wedding dressGrin. I think you should get married too, you get a fan party out of it.Grin

Wiggles- as my wee dad says you work to love, not live to workGrin.

janedoe25 · 09/12/2011 23:02

Blush about all the typos, I'm on my phone. Also meant to say to reastie I'm glad you opened up to your Dh , hope you are feeling a bit better?

debka · 10/12/2011 21:08

Can't believe no-ones posted at all today! Hope all well and happy :)

ponyo DH just watched a Japanese animation called Ponyo- anything to do with you? Grin

Love the wedding account jane, sounds brilliant, wish I could have been there Envy

Got a problem ladies- you know I had the implant put in on Wednesday? Well, all fine, taken off the bandage but there's a massive, f-off plaster dressing job on which is going nowhere. Any idea how I can get this bad boy off?

ChestnutsREASTIEingOnTheFire · 10/12/2011 21:19

Hi deb I'm here Grin . Re: dressing - only thing I can think is have a long hot bath any excuse for me soaking the dressing in the water and that might help get it off a bit easier

jane yes thanks, felt a bit better (I think).

Watching x factor - who's going to go Hmm Grin

janedoe25 · 10/12/2011 21:49

Hi deb and reastie, it is very quiet in here todayHmm

I seen Ponyo on tv too! I second era sites suggestion of a bath to remove the plaster- good luck!

Right I'm off, was just checking in. Have a good night girls.

ledkr · 10/12/2011 21:50

deb try surgical spirit to get off the sticky or baby oil.

Im still in brum, had such a great time. Have any of you brummies been to the German Market? Its so nice.We had a mulled wine and literally ate our way through it.We had an Italian meal then we had, sweets then a marshmallow cakes, then chesnuts, then a pastie Shock feel a bit sick now Grin
Ella has loved it,all the xmas lights were on and she had her own money to do her shopping and we tried on really high heels in a shop haha.

I am in Frankly at my mates now watching x factor before driving back,we are very tired.

I rang dh and he was dealing with Dilly who wasnt settling whilst greedy pil and bil scoff a take away.I told you they cant wait to eat and dont care if we arent ready. grrrrrr.

Hope you are all well.

ILovePonyo · 11/12/2011 00:50

Hi all, I have just got in from my last shift at the pub and would have been there much later if they hadn't let me go at 12.30 - phew! I feel like a knackered old woman, my back aches Hmm Grin

Aw deb and jane did you watch Ponyo?! I do love it, it is indeed where I got my wholly unoriginal name from.

ledkr Brum xmas market is fab isn't it, sounds yummy too! Pretty unsurprising about the pil then Hmm

deb got your plaster off yet?! Grin

Apparently it took dp an hour to settle A tonight, poor thing she is v unwell. This morning I had to deal with a poonami all the way up her back and through all of her clothes and gro bag Shock she has done about 5 poos today - bet you all wanted to know that. BUT she has a tooth nearly through the surface on the bottom!! My baby is growing up Grin I missed her at work tonight and nearly cried when the song My Girl was playing - I blame the fact that I am due on Hmm

Right off to bed soon, dp is getting up with A in the morning thank god xx

ChestnutsREASTIEingOnTheFire · 11/12/2011 07:11

jane forgot to give you a maltesers cake update. It seems to was very nice, but IMO didn't go down as well as this recipe which is my fave and easiest choc cake recipe. I got it from my Mary Berry book and, erm, mine doesn't look quite as rustic and haphazard as the one on the webpage I linked to (don't let that put you off)

deb I forgot to say I followed my 1st official SW recipe last night. It was rank - I could barely eat any of it . Did a stirfry by the sauce was just wayyyyy too vinegary (and I measure it exactly). Think I'll do the mushroom risotto and infamous cottage cheese pasta dish today - will let you know.

ledkr market sounds great especially the food yum yum hope PIL have been behaving themselves and the roast goes well today.

Tired here today - I just can't sleep at the minute, nothing to do with Alice I just keep waking up in the night and not being able to get back to sleep for hours - today I've been up since 4:30 Confused

debka · 11/12/2011 09:27

reastie that cake looked awful, if I had a blog I'd not have the balls to put such a crap looking pic up!! Bet yours looked 100x better! Sorry to hear your SW recipe was grim, I've been pleased with all but the grotty pasta bake. We had cauliflower risotto last night (Jamie Oliver recipe but I make it SW friendly). You should def try SW chips.

ledkr I've heard about Brum xmas market, sounds gorgeous, I'd have eaten my way round too Grin.

ponyo poor you so tired :( I remember working all day bank holiday in the restaurant kitchen then carried on to cater an evening do till midnight, my legs ached so bad, took me hours to relax enough to go to sleep. Poor A as well, poonami sounds vile. Didn't watch Ponyo but DH enjoyed it (he's got a thing about anything Japanese).

Thanks for the plaster suggestions, I got the fecker off in the end the hard way but now I keep thinking the implant is stabbing out of my skin Confused, it's a bit stingy if I twist the wrong way.

S slept till 7.15 this morning, heaven. I was in bed at 9.30 so feel pretty well rested. Good job cos we're visiting my dad today- he and DH don't get on...

ILovePonyo · 11/12/2011 15:05

Hi all! We've been to out of ours docs today as A was not herself at all, she was still asleep at 9.30 this morning and

ILovePonyo · 11/12/2011 15:09

Posted that too soon! So A is dehydrated basically, got some dioralite or however it is spelled, she has refused to drink it do far but has at least had some water. Poor thing knew she wasn't right Sad if delia is about any advice? I know C had the same thing x x

Oh and reastie and deb, SW food sounds grim haha sorry! Grin

Back later as am on my phone...

janedoe25 · 11/12/2011 15:18

ponyo Poor Anya Sad, give her little sips of water often and keep trying the diarolyte. Hope she makes a speedy recovery, sending her some hugs. x

ILovePonyo · 11/12/2011 15:38

Thanks Jane, good idea with the little sips of drink. Will give her a hug from you, she's asleep on me at the mo Smile x

wigglesrock · 11/12/2011 19:33

ponyo hope A is starting to feel a lot bettter. If you are in any doubt or if you don't think she's holding down enough water/fluid, head back to the out of hours. It happened with O when she was 14 months, it was just a bug and she got over it very quickly but she needed a wee overnight stay because she couldn't hold anything down xx

Am still having problems with work of a huge variety at the minute. They are changing their opening hours and I need to work every Sunday from 7.30am from Feb. Basically its the worse combination of hours for me. Have spoken to my Mum and we can work it but it hit me for six in work yesterday. I even had a little cry Blush. Anyway not that important but feel better for having written it down Grin

Right off to nosy at X Factor/ internet shop/write Christmas cards.

janedoe25 · 11/12/2011 19:56

wiggles It is important it is affecting you. I'm sorry they have done that bastards. Do you have to do the hours, is it in your contract? I hope you are ok. x

Emski76 · 11/12/2011 19:58

Wiggles, that's rubbish about your work. I suppose all you can do s work out how many Sundays that will be and count them off.

Ponyo, sorry A has been poorly, hope she's fully recovered ASAP

Noah is still poorly. We only fed him bread and butter and fruit purees yesterday, with a bit and cheese and potato for tea and he wasn't sick all day. Sent him to in laws with dh today, and they insisted on feeding him a banana, he then was sick and has just been sick again before bed. At 5am yesterday I ended up giving him a bottle as he was obviously starving and really don't want to end up doing it again. I'm not sure if it's because of that but I'm feeling so angry towards dh and close to telling him to bugger off cos I want a divorce. Please tell me I'm being dramatic! I feel so unhappy, which I shouldn't be as its Christmas!

ILovePonyo · 11/12/2011 20:24

Oh no emski - poor N and how annoying about the banana Angry on your behalf. Hope N is ok tonight. Don't think you're being dramatic - for some reason my dp has been annoying me all day too, think having a poorly little one can really bring out the short temperedness in me! Hopefully you and N will feel better tomo :)

wiggles Hmm and yuk to work, that is really rubbish is there no way round it? Having to do EVERY sunday seems a bit much, surely they should let you do every other one at least. Anyway I'm sure you have asked about that but boo on your behalf.

Well A seems better but has hardly drank any flippin dioralyte, 2 syringes full and thats it, she kept shoving the bottle away when we tried to give it to her. She's also had some milk before bed.
Not sure what to do tomo about nursery, think I'll see how she is in the morning but if shes still not well I'll keep her home with me.

Hope every one else is well :)

ChestnutsREASTIEingOnTheFire · 11/12/2011 21:20

ponyo poor A Sad . Hope she recovers quickly and what a stress having to see out of hours etc. Re: nursery - would they let her go anyway? Don't know how these things work but assume if they are poorly they won't take them (infection control etc). I hope she perks up bless her.

ems not irrational at all re: DH. When my DH annoys me and I feel upset with him I stew about divorcing him. Obv (well, hopefully) I will never do that I think I just fester in my head.

deb a SW update - pasta bake with yoghurt and cottage cheese was absolutely rank - will not be having that again Confused . I gave up on it and made myself a baked potato with homemade ratatouille (still free I think). Did well today on the SW diet in general though. Having my weigh in tomorrow but doubt I've lost anything given it's been 3 weeks since last weigh in and I haven't been perfect Hmm

wiggles boo to work hours. Don't blame you for the cry - I would have done exactly the same thing. Is it those hours or nothing then? Sad . At least you can sort of childcare I suppose

Spotted boden sale opened a few hours ago and have got a few of the cutest 12 - 24 month stuff for Alice half price there and some stuff for work for me so ladies if you're quick there may still be some of the nice things there Grin

X factor final - I think little mix might win it and I'm hugely Angry at how the Damien Rice track will now be ruined for me

janedoe25 · 11/12/2011 21:30

Reastie I despise x factor, they had better not ruin Damian rice for me!
I think you are right re: Anaya nursery, I am not allowed to have kids who have been sick or have a runny bum for 48 hours after their last bout of sickness/runnyness.

wigglesrock · 11/12/2011 21:36

Yay for the Little Minxes as Mr W has christened them Shock

Thanks for your support re the job. I can keep the job and not do the Sundays (apparently they don't want to lose me (lets just say that was met with a fuck away off look yesterday Grin) but it would be a really big drop in wages as they are closing a night/day in order to facilitate the Sunday opening.

The problem is that Mr W works 3 weekends out of 5 so it would be my Mum and Dad picking up the slack. I'm not sure I can handle my girls at 7.30am on a Sun morning, never mind asking someone else to do it Grin.

ponyo glad A seems to be on the mend - babies - resilient little buggers Grin

Oh I'm sure everyone is super organised for Christmas Grin but SnapFish have 50% off their photo calendars.

After working all weekend I had lunch with pils, annoying bil and niece and nephew, and all our clan. So even the now believing his own hype Grin wonderful Mr W is irritating me a tad Shock

Emski76 · 12/12/2011 08:00

Morning all
Am so glad Little Mix won X Factor! They're fab!

Bad start to week, dh has got tummy bug, Noah was sick before bed last night and has woken this morning with a swollen eyelid. I'm having to take a few hours off work to take Noah to doctors. Mil is coming here to have Ben and pamper dh. Fingers crossed Noah's eye isn't contagious, I hate paying for nursery if were not using it!

Hope y'all are ok

debka · 12/12/2011 12:06

wiggles I thought they were actually called Little Minx Blush. That really sucks about your work, hope you can make it work for you.

emski poor you with a poorly household, it's relentless isn't it :(

ponyo I enjoy most of the food, poor reastie seems to have stumbled on a few dud recipes! I mostly just adapt normal recipes (eg use extra lean mince in spag bol and no oil and it's basically just the same). Hope Anya's a lot better this morning :)

Enjoying a quiet morning, Imy's out with my mum, DH is working and S is asleep, I've had a bit of a tidy and now enjoying the peace before everyone descends for lunch!

MizK · 12/12/2011 12:18

Afternoon all, god I have just had a mammoth catch up sesh as not been on in aaages! Seems like there've been lots of poorly babies, hope they are all getting better. Well done to those doing SW particularly deb, what an amazing amount of weight you've lost! Completely jel but v impressed lady x
wiggles sucks about your work, the only sensible thing for you to do is to win the lottery immediately then tell them to stick their poxy job!
X factor had no appeal for me last night, watched Die Hard with a vengeance with DP instead...he was horrified to learn I'd never seen any Die Hards so over the last week I've watched them all (they're shit.)
Big hello to you all and will post more often, I have no excuse not to as lots of you are working and I'm not! BTW fb people I too am jealous - add me! Its S-a-r-a-h K-i-g-g-i-n-s - I am probably the only one cause of my weird surname :)

janedoe25 · 12/12/2011 12:55

Hi girls, Hope you enjoyed your peace debka.

emski hope Noah is ok?

mizk I think I added you? If not then I have befriended some randomer Grin.

ponyo How is Anya today?
