ChestnutsREASTIEingOnTheFire · 08/12/2011 15:54

choc I meant to say re: car testing - does that mean you'll do a video which will be on the mn youtube like the other ford test drives? We'll have to hunt you down have a nose Wink . I'm currently testing bio oil for mn Grin

Sooooo windy here too - jane how are things over there? I heard they've told people to go home from work early in parts of scotland but also advised people not to travel - doesn't quite make sense together but there you go.

ponyo yeh for A sleeping through

wiggles sounds like you had a great time with the love god mrw Wink and also Envy

deb don't blame you for re: no periods thing. WHen I told fp nurse mine hadn't returned yet she got all odd about it with me Hmm . Hope the implant works for you.

Alice finally napping so off for a clean of the house. Just wrapped up I think my last christmas pressie [smug]

Deliaskis · 08/12/2011 16:02

Hi ladies,

Just got wrists slapped by debka (not really, was a lovely pm) for posting on...[gasp]...another thread...Shock instead of this one, so thought I'd pop in and say hi.

I've been lurkign on here a bit but just going through one of those periods where I feel like I don't have much of interest to say, and I can't keep up with you lot sometimes!

So what has been happening? Anyone want to catch me up?

Things are fine here, still having one illness after another with C, and today I have one blessed day off work but instead of Christmas shopping and being festive, I'm ill in bed, and the weather is minging anyway so booooooo to rubbish day off.

Despite lots of illnesses, C is actually OK just at the mo, doing lots of fun things. Think she may be a bit thick though as she doesn't wave goodbye, she claps goodbye, is that weird? Will she be socially shunned for it if she is still doing it aged 20? She insisted on letting go of her walker thing yesterday and stood alone (swaying drunkenly) for about 3 seconds, then plopped on her big nappy-padded bum and giggled.

Still not really crawling, she kind of crawls a bit, but backwards, she's a total weirdo.

Yesterday I was meant to get up early and furtively wash my hair (normally do it evenings) before C woke up but it wasn't to be, as she woke and shouted a lot so my hair didn't get washed, and as it needed to be as I had a singing concert and it was rank I booked into a hairdressers at lunchtime for just a wash and blowdry, and it was HEAVEN! I may never wash my hair myself again, £15 every two days isn't an extravagent waste of much needed cash when we're wholly skint, is it?

Christmas shopping almost done, still no Christmas tree argh!

Hi all. Nearly had a nice day but the stupid eyebrow threader was off sick grrrr, how very dare she. Also dh was planning to clean a bit in prep for the pil but of course he managed some light hoovering and that was that.He was gone ages while i had Dilly,id have got the whole house cleaned in that time.
Re pil,ive just realised that Ellas rehearsal Sun is sooo early that i will have to come home Sat.My friend thinks its perfectly acceptable to go off to my room to watch it,what do you lot think? They always seem to want to go out for a meal but i really get no pleasure out of having dinner with dilly winging or clinging onto me,id rather have a bar of galaxy for my tea.
I bought all the ingredients for our xmas sweets today,i cant wait to make them next week.
Dilly woke at 4.30 but dh worked his magic and she went back off till 7.30.
All this talk of contraception and dirty weekends away made me think of how annoying dh was last night,he just kept on and on trying it on,i was trying to read my damn book and it was really cold,i even told him to sod off but he went on and on,i threatened to start an aibu thread about him Grin
jane you will have to explain the bawbag comment, are you for real.I did hear on the radio how bad it is up there and thought of you and Zoes tree.
It mega windy here too,the fence was blowing down so we took the panels down and put them in the garage=genius.

ledkr · 08/12/2011 17:17

Is everyone enjoying the babies at the moment?Im in love with Dilly, she is so much easier since her op and is so funny all the time with her faces and words. She has also been signing for milk and more which is really handy,we have a signing class next monday too.

debka · 09/12/2011 07:13

Morning all-

Had a weird night- S cried on and off about 11 and I went in fool, she was then up for an hour, playing. Not impressed, Sabine, don't let it happen again young lady!

delia nice to see you, thanks for popping on! Don't you realise that none of us have much of interest to say?? Grin Totally love your hairwash story, YANBU at all, no reasonable man would begrudge you £45 a week for your hair Grin.

ledkr I think if you do it nicely and spend time with them before then it would be ok to go to your room with Ella to watch the final. Just make sure you lock the door.... Grin. I love my little Bean at the moment too, she is desperately trying to communicate, she says Mummy and sometimes Daddy and cat (from her Postman Pat book), and will copy noises too like miaouw. She's so happy and eager to please, I dread her turning 2 and turning into a contrary madam like her sister Confused

Ooo didn't tell you, she fell head first onto a block this week and has a massive bruise and swollen bit just between her eyes, looks proper battered Blush

Hope you all had good nights and aren't knackered this morning like me

debka · 09/12/2011 07:15

Forgot to say ponyo yay to sleeping through the night!! Think you'll find they don't finish teething till they get all their teeth... at about 2.5yo... Grin

janedoe25 · 09/12/2011 08:10

Morning all, debka Boo to s waking last night!

well Zoe's tree has survived, wish I could say the same for the gutters and the 5 roof slates.Hmm

ledkr I agree with debka about the pil visit.

Hope you all have a good day.Smile

ledkr · 09/12/2011 14:53

very quiet on here today.I went into work for training,it was weird to be in a professional enviroment. At one point i felt all restless and wanted to watch tv and have a coffee and i had to look at apic of Dilly cos i missed her.
Went to Asda on the way back to get nappies and food for greedy pils,i have just hidden my country life and replaced it with utterly butterly Grin i will later be hiding my shredded wheat fruity bitesize too as its mine and Ellas favourite and greedy fil will be putting it on top of his shredded wheat which he crushes down into my bowls with his grubby little fist so he can squeeze more on top Shock this is all before the toast course grrrr.
Has anyone tried asda nappies. They are so good and you get 2 big packs for a tenner. I had some huggies this week and they leak and smell weeish, asda ones sont smell or leak in fact you could leave them on all day and they are still not wet,i actually thought dills was ill when i first used them.Try them ladies.

ledkr · 09/12/2011 14:54

My smileys are on strike.

ChestnutsREASTIEingOnTheFire · 09/12/2011 15:25

Yeah really quiet at the minute on this thread Hmm

ledkr totally think wathcing xfactor in your room no probs. Do you secretly work for asda btw Wink We have pampers here. Not a fan of huggies and wen't keen on tesco/sains nappies when we tried them. Never tried asda before but we don't have a store that close to us

jane glad the tree is standing firm

deb just had sains delivery and all set for some slimming worlding. Going to do a stirfry tomorrow and a pasta bake recipe on sunday which will be my first foray into cottage cheese Hmm .

Made a maltesers cake this afternoon, just the frosting to go Grin ( deb I realise this prob isn't sw friendly but I can't eat it anyway so don't worry Wink )

a professional blowdry sounds an absolute essential to me Wink . I can never get my hair to feel as soft as they do at the hairdressers they must have magical products

Any nice week end plans? We have BIL and family over tomorrow, Alice loves playing with her cousins Grin . ledkr I will be avidly waiting for PIL updates Wink . Btw who are our bets on for winning xfactor? Too close to call IMO. I like Marcus but I don't want Gary Barlow to have he smugness of his act winning

debka · 09/12/2011 15:49

ledkr I use Terrys [mega smug]. Actually she has disposables at night, and I use Asda or Sains. I also always buy Asda wipes, they have the closeable thing on the top which inexplicably the expensive brands don't have Hmm.

ledkr at missing Dilly :)

reastie best of luck with SW! I made a pasta bake with cottage cheese once, it was utterly minging Grin hope yours is better! Is it Nigella's Malteser cake? I was googling that yesterday and drooling reastie there is no cake on earth that is SW friendly :(

Where is everyone!! feel all lonely here :(

I'm off to my sisters tonight for a Christmas film, can't wait. Don't know what we're up to on Saturday but Sunday we're going to my dad's for Sunday lunch. I am slightly nervous since my stepmum emailed me to ask me to remind DH to 'say thank you' for his birthday card and present which he'll get on Sunday. Hmm FFS he is 34yo!!!

ChestnutsREASTIEingOnTheFire · 09/12/2011 16:21

deb you just made me think of terrys chocolate orange there . two very different type of terrys though Wink . Shame about your cottage cheese pasta fiasco - hope this one tastes OK - it's from an official SW recipe and has the delights of vegetables, yoghurt and cottage cheese in it - sounds delish not . Just had a massive bowl of berries and low fat yoghurt and made ratatouille in the slow cooker for dinner with pasta . Hmm to your stepmum btw

Bored here waiting for DH to come home so I can continue my cleaning mission exciting life

debka · 09/12/2011 16:23

Mine was a SW one too...

Bored here as well, S asleep and Imy tired, grouchy and kicking me whilst watching CBeebies...

ChestnutsREASTIEingOnTheFire · 09/12/2011 16:29

bet it's the same recipe then Confused . Can't remember the name of it other than it's got a posh foreign sounding name Hmm

janedoe25 · 09/12/2011 17:25

Hello girls Grin

reastie Let me know how the malteser cake tastes, if it's good I shall try it out. My carrot cupcakes are yum though! DH hasn't got a clue whats got into me (I usually shy away from the kitchen, it is hos domain). We had a wee shopping trip today to try and get rid of the JL vouchers, we I didn't see anything so will have to keep looking for some nice housey things. DH bought me a silver heart (with pink stone in) pandora charm he is just the bestest! Grin

I have just realised I haven't really told you about the wedding, this may be long (sorry).

On the Friday we went to the registry office to do the legal part of the wedding, my sister (bridesmaid) , best man and 2 of our best friends came along. It was very bizzare and we could not stop laughing whilst doing the vows, the registrar was a bit snooty and kept looking at us funny. Probs didn't help that we were all dressed in our jeans and T-shirts. Grin Afterwards DH and I went for dinner then I stayed over at my parents house.

On the morning of the wedding I was so calm, not nervous at all. However that changed when I was still in PJ's with my hair still to be done (slowest hairdresser in the world) and the wedding car arrived, I was freaking out!

I eventually made it out 40 mins later. My nerves disappeared as soon as we reached the hotel, I was just so desperate to get in! I walked down the aisle to the intro of The verve's bitter sweet symphony. As I walked through the doors my dad stood on my dress and tripped me up, everyone heard me saying oh shit Grin. The service was beautiful, our civil celebrant was/is fantasic. Zoe was mentioned throughout the service and I really felt her presence.

The evening doo was amazing, we spent the night dancing and drinking (a bit too much). During the last song The loch Lomond song granny will know what I mean, we went a bit mad going round in circles and I fell face first onto the floor Blush!

We both had an amzing time as did all of our guests. I can't wait to get our photos from the photographer now.

ledkr · 09/12/2011 17:42

jane that sounds like my kind of wedding,i fell off the stage at my first one,i was singing Blush at my 2nd i was so hungover i could eat Shock
I love the sound of Zoe getting lots of mentions too bless her.

reastie "probably not sw malteser cake" Probably not no Hmm Grin

deb good grief woman,do they even still make Terry nappies?I used them for ds1-he is now 26 Confused I love the xmas movies too.Me and Ella are having burritos (probably not sw reastie) and watching a movie, not very xmassy tho its mean girls 2 which makes us both laugh, little fockers is on too but im not sure how ill explain that one.

Off to brum tomorrow shopping with the girls and Ella.Cant wait.Hope to be back in time to say high, avoid the kisses and get up to bed to watch x factor.Me and Ella want little mix.Apparently the winners song is cannon ball by damien rice-lush song.

Im meant to be singing a surprise song for my mates divorce party. Its "who do you think you are?" by Christian Perry.Very appropriate in her case.

ledkr · 09/12/2011 17:42

Christina Perry sorry.

ILovePonyo · 09/12/2011 18:03

Hi all, ooh lovely (and a bit funny Grin) sounding wedding jane, are you used to being a wife by now then?! Glad Z's tree made it, boo to the tiles though.

ledkr I often find myself thinking about A or looking at pics of her at work. Thanks for the tip re: asda nappies, we use Pampers as Huggies are indeed crap. Enjoy brum tomo!

Hi delia I always like your posts btw. A claps good bye too and claps when she hurts herself or is sad Hmm Your blowdry was such a good idea, might have to try that one day myself!

deb hope naughty S sleeps for you tonight Wink

reastie how is the cake???!!! Looks yum on the link.

Grr A is crying better go. She slept through again last night Shock but has been grumpy all day today and her poor bum is red raw. wigs I bought that Metanium or whatever its called will let you know what we think...

tadjennyp · 09/12/2011 18:06

What a lovely wedding story Jane! Sorry, haven't been on much as dh has been away all week so quite tired last night. A had her first Christmas winter concert last night which was very sweet. Totally secular of course. Hope you have a fab time shopping ledkr and the ILs get their fix of Dilly for a while! Hello to everyone else.

ILovePonyo · 09/12/2011 19:30

I meant to say - the only thing we have done differently with A sleeping through (fingers crossed for tonight) is have the heating on all night on low. Her room was 14 degrees but is now 17/18 - maybe she was cold poor thing? She never felt cold when I checked her but who knows. What are the other babies rooms temps at the mo?

tadj aww to xmas concert! Bet you're pleased to have dh back xx

dp has just gone to nandos for our tea, yum!

wigglesrock · 09/12/2011 19:53

We've just had our dinner too Grin, tacos yum, yum, see deliaskis I'm fascinated by everyones dinner, you are deffo more interesting than me Grin

ponyo well done A on the sleeping, the temp in Annas room is usually around 18.

jane lovely wedding, so glad it was all that you wanted it to be, and yay for Zoes tree.

ledkr I'd be watching X Factor in my room too Grin Oh I love Damien Rice, don't think I can bear to hear anyone else murdering it! I use Tescos/Asda/Sainsburys nappies. I hate Pampers and am meh about Huggies.

debka Mr W is obsessed with the clip/closey thing on baby wipes, drives him insane if a pack doesn't have them Grin

We are well into the nativity play practicing now [eyeroll], not sure my ears can stand anymore!

Also had a bit of a run in with work re more extra hours next week and the following week, needless to say I'm not doing them. Working split shifts again this weekend, thankfully this is my last Sunday - starting work at 8.30am on a Sun morning has not been the easiest especially in this feckin' weather Grin

Emski76 · 09/12/2011 20:26

Hi all
Hhhmmmm Maltesers cake, have saved the link to the desktop on here.

Delia, always good to hear from you, and no post is EVER boring!

We use Sainsburys (if third off), or Asda, can't be paying for Pampers anymore. We use any cheap wipes. Hubbies wipes are poo. Mil buys them for us if there on offer but there hard to get out the pack and fall apart.

Led, I will be watching X Factor with my friend, and dh will no doubt be hiding in the bedroom. I didnt realise that the final was actually Sunday night tho.

Ponyo, well done with A's sleeping. Noah has been waking between 4.45 and 5.30am for the last week. I'm currently trying to give him a snack before bathtime, tho we can't at the moment as he has yet another tummy bug. Fecking germs at fecking nursery! He's been quite poorly and sat snuggling with me for quite a while after tea today. It's horrible when he's sick tho I'm getting quite good at 'catching it' in a muslin or towel (yuk).

Jane, your wedding sounds fab, esp good that Zoe was mentioned lots.

Am def trying SW in the New Year as feel fat and frumpy, no use starting now as Xmas to me, means food, alcohol, food, presents, alcohol etc.

Led, enjoy Brum. We're off to Mr C agan tomorrow, this time at a local play place/ farm, can't wait. Think I'm more excited than Ben!

ILovePonyo · 09/12/2011 20:48

wiggles glad you told work where to go Grin I agree with you about the Damien Rice song, I havn't really watched x factor but hate the thought of someone wailing it 'emotionally'

emski yuk to the sick and the early wakings! Poor N, hope that stops v soon. I am now considering myself lucky I have never had to catch sick in a towel Grin

Nandos was yum, we're now about to watch a film called Monsters, night all xx

hub8allthemincepies · 09/12/2011 21:11

i had a yummy carvery for lunch so only had a sarnie for tea. Don't think i could do sw as i couldn't face a life without bread. I'm sitting here with a jack and coke preparing for a night out with my bestie as it's her birthday. Not going out till 11pm Shock

Freya seems to be sleeping a little better, have done cc and once she's in bed i refuse to pick her back up until 7am earliest. Feel a bit mean but it's tough.

ChestnutsREASTIEingOnTheFire · 09/12/2011 22:10

hub enjoy the night out - not leaving home till 11?! That's what I'd conside late to get back home again after going out Wink

ponyo was that monsters film about someone in death row who murdered people or is that another monster film? Hmm

ems soooo wish I hadn't read that sick comment whilst eating Shock that'll teach me

jane I will update re: maltesers cake tomorrow - made it for BIL and co visiting

ponyo we\ve started with heating on all nigth on low too after alices bedroom was 12 one night Sad

jane wedding sounds fab fab fabbo. Btw that loch lomand song - was that the scottish one you said you didn't want? Wink

wiggles you tell them re: work hours

Well, DH and I just had a long heart to heart. Started with DH moaning about why I got upset re: PIL. I'll never win that one so have given up as it just ends out I look like a cow and his mums halo is as ever pristine to him. We had a chat about my pnd but it's hard when he doesn't know what to do and I'm not sure what to tell him. We ended out that he will chat a bit more to me about how things are going on a daily basis and give me more cuddles Confused . He went away happy that there's something he feels he can do Hmm Men are weird Wink . Watching film on film4 called 'the happening' . Tis quite good.

ledkr hope the week end goes OK.

tad go A with the concert Grin
