ChestnutsREASTIEingOnTheFire · 06/12/2011 21:40

Thanks deb . I noticed all the SW recipes seem to order fry light and told dh I would be buying some and he said 'humph, that stuff that takes ages to wash off when washing up' Confused . I'm hoping now we have the joy of a dishwasher (and I don't mean dh Wink ) it will come off easily god I'm boring tonight

debka · 06/12/2011 21:53

Your DH doesn't know what he's talking about. Fairy dust, that's what it is, fairy dust Grin

Pmed you again, off to bed now, night all xxx

BEST OF LUCK to hubbard with CC xxxxx

tadjennyp · 06/12/2011 22:50

Just going to wrap the dcs up and go to the park. Hoping all babies sleep well and grown-ups shed weight in their sleep!

hub8allthemincepies · 06/12/2011 22:54

thanks deb she's been really good all day but she is starting to stir. Same time as last night. Am hoping i can be as strong as last night.

Have workmen (hopefully) coming tomorrow to fit a new boiler and i will finally be warm. Will probably be on again in a little while if she doesn't settle

debka · 07/12/2011 06:06

Morning all- hubbard I'm hoping that since you've not been on you've had a better night?? I left S the last 2 mornings to cry at 5am when she's woken, and this morning it's 6 and she's still asleep. I heard her stir at 5.30 but she went back to sleep. Here's hoping F does the same. HOOORRRAAAAHHHH to the new boiler. Enjoy your bath!! NOTHING worse than being cold, our house in Slovenia had no central heating, we just had a wood burning stove which was fine once it was going but I remember the hour or two when you first got in whilst the house was warming up, when it was -16 outside....

Got to do a buffet for 19 today so up early to get a head start... best get off MN then

Good days all xxx

hub8allthemincepies · 07/12/2011 07:15

she's just woken again but i'm getting her up. She was grizzly but i just left her. Gave her a couple of oz the 2nd time i went in. Think i only went in once more after that. Dh is being a total twat about it as i asked him to take it in turns last night which means i had to wake him twice. Once for freya once for tom as he woke calling for daddy. He had a lie in yesterday and as the boiler men are coming we've all gotta be up and dressed for 8. He's making me feel such a bad guy for asking him to do stuff for his kids. I suffer from insomnia so if i have to wake from a deep sleep it takes me atleast an hour to fall back to sleep. So i tend to ask him to do the early morning. I don't know why he's so grumpy as he was in bed for half11 and falls asleep instantly not the 3hrs later like me. Sorry i'm just tired and fed up i know today is gonna be a very long day

ChestnutsREASTIEingOnTheFire · 07/12/2011 07:49

hub Sad . I totally empathise with the insomnia and can't get back to sleep when you've been woken up. I'm exactly the same and DH can just go straight back to sleep too. It's really frustrating isn't it? And Angry to your DH given how much of a lie in he had yesterday - don't think I've slept in that late since I was a teenager!! How long does it take to fit the new boiler do you know? Hope the workmen arn't too stressful to have in the home (speaks the voice of experience when it comes to annoying workmen) and you have a loooonnnnngggggg hot soak in a bath very very soon.

Thanks deb for all the fabuloso SW advice. I wonder how 40 is doing on it Hmm . When you have your meetings every week - is it just a weigh in or do they have a evangelical talk? Are people friendly? Does it last long?

hub8allthemincepies · 07/12/2011 09:08

all day reastie won't have heating or hot water until about 6ish. Still no engineer they've just rung and said it'll be closer to 10 . Grr i could of had an extra half hour in bed. We've got dh's little sis staying for a few days as it's closer to college for her school trip which means i can't spend forever in the bathroom tonight, am looking forward to a hot shower in a toasty house though.

ledkr · 07/12/2011 10:13

Hi all, sorry for no posting but my text was coming out really slowly but only on here and it was taking about ten minutes to write one line.I even startyed a thread about it if you dont believe me.
Well hubbard Dilly slept all night last night for first time in months here is what i did.
She woke at 10 and we picked her up,soothed her but not rocked her, then put in cot when she was calm, left room for 2 mins then back and repeat.Eventually she was so tired she gave up and nodded of in cot with us patting her bum.Took 20 mins.
We repeted this every time she woke-3 times.
Next night, woke twice did the same.
Next night woke once did the same.
Next night woke once farted and then cried,i shsh patted her back to sleeep in her cot.
Next night she woke and cried but back to sleep.
Last night woke at 3 farted loudly sounded awake but went back off.

I also looked at less milk in day so she ate more food and encouraged/forced longer naps in day.
HTH.

Dilly is so funny atm.She is Ella obsessed and prefers her to us.She calls for her if she isnt around too. She went to Mums yesterday while i went to work.WQhen id gone she sat by the front door crying-she didnt see me leave btw.She then latched onto Mum and wouldnt go to sd or dsis.

Went to work to see wanker boss.He was an hour late.He was then surprised that i had 6 weeks leave to take by April.I told him he should have kept in touch then id have taken some by now.I asked about doing some kit days this month to get some money,am still awaiting his response. I have a busy workload ahead some clients in Somerset-could visit emski Told him he could pay for a train as i am not getting a car allowance any more, felt very assertive.I am back on the 9th jan and will work Mon and Tues and have plety of leave Grin

Pil are coming on Sat.3 of the fuckers!I am off shopping in Brum with Ella and 2 friends.Have planned to stay overnight but am in a bit of a dilemma.I feel overly rude not coming back, and dh is so good with my boys i feel i should make an effort with his family, BUT i know it will totally stress me out having 3 of them sleeping all over the place and taking over my house especially with the x factor final on Shock but dh would like me to be here, I also never get to see my friend in brum much.If i come back Sunday am and cook a nice roast aibu? I really would welcome your honest opinions. BTW sil (bils partner) hasnt even seen Dilly yet and makes no effort so why should i iyswim.

Poor ds2 isnt getting any better,I have to find out about his benefit entitlements as i feel he should stop working now,he is ver ill but they dont do dialysis untill the very last minute.

Sorry its a mememe post but i will have a catch up and se what you have all been up to.

ChestnutsREASTIEingOnTheFire · 07/12/2011 12:11

ledkr great to finally hear from you Grin . Have you missed us or is it just us who have missed you ? Re: PIL +1 I think you definitely sound fair in what you're doing - you will see them on Sunday morning and cook them a roast - sounds perfect to me as in cooking a roast you look like you're making a nice effort for them and hopefully you should be in a nice mood from your week end so be able to be polite and not too stressed by them for the time you see them IYKWIM. I assume the main reason for PIL at least coming is to see Dilly anyway, and it's not like you're taking Dilly with you to Brum. I expect my PIL would be glad for me not to be around all the time anyway Hmm . Poor DS2 :( You'll have to remind me - is he in line for an op to help or is it a case of waiting until he can have dialysis? How's your Gran in the home? I had a KIT day last week too and it went terribly :( Supply teacher hasn't followed my schemes of work at all and made a mess of everything making tons of extra work for me. Have spent this morning working on it while mum has alice. Btw we are back to work the same day so can wobble together about our return Grin

Gtg pick Alice up from mums - I've been on my own for nearly THREE whole hours Grin . Done the washing, dishwasher, some work for school and painted 2 chairs - what did I do with my life prebaby to think I was busy?!

ILovePonyo · 07/12/2011 14:59

Hi all, posting from my phone as I have a poorly baby sleeping on me Sad think she is teething? She has red cheeks, sore bum and runny nappies yuk.
Ledkr nice to hear from you and youre well within your rights to go home on Sunday and cook a roast, they should appreciate it. Enjoy brim sounds great Smile hope your ds is ok, worrying for you all.
Hubbard hope your house is nice and toasty warm now. Feel for you with f waking, a is too and I'm not sure what to do Confused
Hope wigs is having a good time in paris Smile

Well I was at work til 1.30am - it is knackering me. Last shift this saturday night phew. Back later on, oh and deb and Jane I have never eaten a mince pie either, they look rank Grin

hub8allthemincepies · 07/12/2011 15:48

i have heating yyeessssss i'm warm finally Grin back later
Poor a hope she feels better soon

chocoroo · 07/12/2011 18:52

Evening all,

Welcome back ledkr. Good plan re:PIL, I frequently send DO and R to his parent's house while I have some time out. I usually end up in the Bullring too!

reastie Sounds like you've been on fire in those three hours! It's amazing what you can get done! I bet A had fun too.

hubbard Good news about the boiler! We had a new one and it's amazing!

ponyo Defo sounds like teeth. At least they're on their way!

Work is really ramping up. This is my last four day week. I'm really enjoying it but R had her Christmas party today and I'm a bit sad I didn't get to see her enjoy it. Oh well, she LOVES the tree. Absolutely thrilled by it.

Had some good news from MNHQ. We're going to be test driving a Ford Mondeo over Christmas. Am thrilled as will be much easier to get everything into to go to mum's. And if I give the feedback on time we get £100 of John Lewis vouchers Grin

Emski76 · 07/12/2011 20:28

Hey all
Ledkr, your officially back!! Good luck with starting work again in Jan, and you too, Reastie. I have to admit I'm really enjoying being back at work, apart from the stuff at home that doesn't get done, plus I miss my baby sooooooo much.
Are you feeling a bit better about work now Reastie?

Hubbard, yah to having heating again, not so yah about Freya's night wakings.

Deb, well done on the weight loss, you are doing so brilliantly, bet your so chuffed! Am thinking of starting SW in the new year as I'm piling on the pounds at the moment.

Choc, hi, enjoy your last four day week, chill all day Friday. I'm sending the boys to the in laws for the day on Sunday. My first day off duty in six weeks, and so looking forward to it!
Well done on getting to test drive a Ford Mondro, that's pretty cool!

Anyone else sadly excited about the X Factor final??

ledkr · 07/12/2011 21:11

ems Me and Els are excited too, only spoiled by the fact we will prob have to come home to an over crowded house and have a tiny space on the sofa to watch it and have to share our chocolate too.Ella has a rehearsal at 10 so prob wont stay now Sad
Im looking forward to work now too,it was lovely seeing my colleagues and chatting about work and not babies.
ponyo poor baby. Did you read my method of cc light?Try it when shes better.
reastie Yes ds is on the verge of dialysis and they are hoping to go straight to transplant to save him the inconvenience. Its a big op for the donor too and i dont want the other ds's feeling obliged iyswim.
deb you must look like a new woman, well done.Im nearly back to a 14 cos of my alcohol free life Hmm I shall be revisiting alcohol over the festive season Grin mmmm bailys and Amaretto.
Me and Ella are watching smuggy old Nigela making rocky road and drooling,we will be making them on Monday.
Dilly has been so funny today. She learnt to walk with her push along walker but is a bit crap and looks as if she has rubber legs but is so chuffed and laughs till she collapses.Just now she was doing it naked with her big cellulitey bum on display, still red from her bath Grin

ChestnutsREASTIEingOnTheFire · 07/12/2011 21:36

ledkr I have missed your hilarious stories (like the red bummed walking dilly). Glad you're looking forward to work and well done on weight loss. I'm going to give SW a go but it doesn't half take alot of planning what to eat and which days I'll have time to cook etc (alas alice won't let me cook when I'm on my own at home) . Poor DS. I remember you saying he needed a transplant before. Hope one pops up for you soon (although not sure if that's quite the right thing to think or say given I imagine chances are it will come from someone with a donor card who has passed away).

ponyo boo to a poorly Anya :(

choc your tree looks fab - it's no wonder R likes it so much Wink . Hope work increase will be OK.

Think I got snubbed while out shopping earlier - was walking along a near empty path between shops, looked up and saw a mother I've met with a group of ladies for coffee a few times when alice was tiny but we sort of stopped bothering (more a meet up of convenience to get out of the house and see another human than the fact we got on well). I just started to smile and say hello and she turned around and ran into 'pets at home' faster than a speeding bullet. DH says she might have just suddenly remembered she forgot something very important for a pet I don't think she has and didn't see me [wishful thinking] Hmm Wink

ILovePonyo · 07/12/2011 21:58

Ledkr Grin at d and her cellulitey bum, that made me laugh, as did your description of nigella Grin I did read your description of cc and thought at the time I would have to give it a go, sounds good thank you Smile

Reastie what a cow IF that woman snubbed you, she might not of done so hope you're not to bovvered about it Wink

Bugger I can't remember what else has been said as I'm sat in bed on my phone, just wanted to add that poor A has a very red sore bottom, she was screaming and crying earlier when I put cream on, made me feel horrible bcos I was hurting her Sad

Here's hoping for sleepy babies tonight. Sorry not responded to anyone else can I use being tired as an excuse Grin x x

wigglesrock · 07/12/2011 22:47

'Allo 'Allo, just been trying to catch up, ledkr took me 3 goes and 30 mins to get onto this page as well Hmm.

Hope all sore bums, sore teeth, non sleeping babies start to feel better xx

Had a fabulous time, feckin' freezing here, much warmer in Paris Grin Girls seem to have survived without us!!

janedoe25 · 08/12/2011 07:19

wiggles Glad you had a great time in Paris!

ledkr Love your description od Dilly. Grin

A wee bit scared here, we have red alert and sever weather warnings because of super duper high winds! Just had news that the schools are closed too eeek! Shock Girls I need you to croos your fingers for Zoe's wee tree, hope the roots are strong.

ponyo Hope Anya is feeling better today.

hubbard How did Freya sleep last night?

chocco Envy at your test drive!

emski enjoy your day off!

ChestnutsREASTIEingOnTheFire · 08/12/2011 07:42

Just a quickie to say welcome back wiggles we need more details on your escapades in paris not the dirty stuff though Wink and jane I saw the weather report this morning and saw Glasgow in the warning area and thought instantly of you. Can we have weather updates on just how bad it is please? I'm sure Zoes tree will be strong and if it gets through this then for sure it will get through anything Grin

ponyo it does sound like teething doesn't it? Poor A. Hope you both got some sleep.

Right, a rather stinky nappy is calling me Confused

janedoe25 · 08/12/2011 07:53

reastie What are you feeding that girl, I can smell her from here Grin. The weather is not too bad just now, a bit windy and bucketing down. It has to get really bad around 3pm ish, I'm pooping myself a bit, hope it's not too bad! Hurricane force winds are forecasted though Shock.

wigglesrock · 08/12/2011 10:07

jane its dreadful here Shock The girls are off school anyway today but our car has its MOT and its Sofias parent teacher meeting this afternoon. We are also heading out to dinner with friends tonight but not sure if my friend will fancy heading out if the weather stays this bad. Her baby is due first week of January Grin

Am sure Zoes tree will stand firm, I lit a candle for Zoe in Notre Dame no less Grin

reastie what can I say? I drank a lot of chocolate, some beer, ate yummy food and had lots of sex Grin It was a mightly fine trip Grin

but I had forgotten Christmas was so soon, not quite as organised as I thought Shock

janedoe25 · 08/12/2011 12:45

The storm has been named hurricane bawbag- love it! It's getting quite bad here now huge hail stones and super strong winds and it's only to get worse!

debka · 08/12/2011 14:16

Thinking of you today jane, it's wet and windy here, can't imagine how bad it is up there.

wiggles glad you had such a fabbo time, were the girls with their gps? hope wiggle #4 isn't on its way Grin

ledkr lovely to hear from you, glad all is well and your CC seems to have been a success. I've missed your stories too Blush.

ponyo poor A, hope her bottom clears up soon.

reastie tried any meals yet? We had bean, bacon and tomato soup last night, nummy nummy.

Well I got my implant put in yesterday, had to tell the nurse a tiny fib, she would only do it if my period had started and it hadn't, but I couldn't face arranging childcare for another day so I lied. Blush Came on this am though. Wasn't nearly as bad as I thought, my arm was aching last night but I think it was the massive f-off bandage she wrapped round it, tighter than Jordan's jeggings it was Grin.

S is getting so sociable now, she waves bye bye all the time (without prompting), tries to join in with games (much to Imy's disgust- NO BEAN!!! GO AWAY!!!!), and sings and sways along to music as well.

ILovePonyo · 08/12/2011 15:23

Hi all!

jane how is Z's tree doing? Its windy and horrible here so dread to think what it is like your way. Grin at hurricane bawbag - really?!

deb love Imy telling off S, very cute :) Don't blame you for fibbing to the nurse, I would have done the same.

wiggles I am sooooo jealous of your fabulous sounding break, I am considering looking for something for myself (and dp of course Grin)

choco that test drive sounds brill, I must look for more mn product test threads, the only thing I've tested is washing up liquid Hmm Hope work isn't too hectic for you.

What on earth a man just knocked on my door asking if I had any scrap metal - there are always scrap metal vans around here at the moment Hmm

Well, here is some amazing news - A slept through last night Shock from 7 til 7am, I couldn't believe it this morning, I was expecting a night of wakings and all sorts! Have rung nursery today and they said she seems fine, she's been eating too. Feel a bit relieved that she was poorly yesterday and at home with us rather than being at nursery. Not actual teeth yet though I'm sure they're nearly through on the bottom gum. So - is that it then?! Teething over? Wink
