janedoe25 · 28/11/2011 16:24

Mindees have been fab today!
Wandering sound like you have a fiery girl Grin

Expat im glad the flight was ok. Did you have a nice thanks giving? Ohhh I would sell my soul for a wisps gold.Grin

Hubbard so happy that you have an appointment, hopefully your mind will be at rest soon.

Left has been very quiet the past week, hope everything is ok?

Can't reply to everyone, I'm on my phone and can't look back ( I have a sucky memory) sorry for any typos.Grin

janedoe25 · 28/11/2011 16:24

Ha ha cross post with ledkr. Glad to hear all is well.

americanexpat · 28/11/2011 17:17

jane - I bought it at Heathrow, so you should be able to find one! I think I saw an advert for them as well. We didn't do anything for Thanksgiving but I'm making up for it by working my way through a pumpkin pie. Grin

reastie · 28/11/2011 19:34

Just popped on quickly to say have finally managed to upload rather too many photos. I expect ems is still on the edge of her seat waiting Grin

american hope you've polished off the pumpkin pie by now Wink

ledkr gladd all is OK - I was getting worried Blush

gtg, be back later

ILovePonyo · 28/11/2011 19:54

Hi! Work was ok today, A was awake last night at 1.30 though Hmm I don't know how you peeps manage with the babies who are up for 2 bottles a night - wiggles and MizK is that still the case for you?

reastie Alice is soooo cute! Aw I love the photos of her, she's got such a cheeky face. You are very pretty too.

hubbard glad you have an appt. Hope it goes well for you - let us know how you get on when you can? Can't beleive that about your boiler, ugh I would be so miserable! we have the heating on loads now, don't know how I'll cope when it is even colder.

jane sorry to hear about how you are feeling and about seeing that book in Asda, must have been a shock really. We are all here for whenever you want to talk, I never feel that I have the right thing to say but am sending you lots of internet hugs, you and Zoe are often in my thoughts. Also am pleased that the mindees were good for you today :)

wandering Grin at L's fiery temper, think A is the same. She looks smug when she gets her dummy and shoves it in her mouth haha!

american eek please share the earl grey truffles recipe?! Sounds lurvely. As does pumpkin pie, ooh I've just had my tea and am still hungry Hmm Grin

ledkr glad you and Dils are ok.

I have training all day tomorrow and then working in the pub in the evening, boo am already feeling tired! I booked wed off work though (no point me going in, the strike is on so I can't do much) and A is still going to nursery so I will be having a veeery lazy day :)

chocoroo · 28/11/2011 20:05

Evening all,

Glad to hear ledkr I alive and kicking. Sounds like you won't have time for work!

ponyo Do you have two jobs? That's amazing. I can barely cope with one!

reastie I was thinking of you in the gym earlier. I burnt off double the normal amount of calories just by having the running machine on a bit of a tilt. Do you have any hills you can push A up? You'll be thin in no time if you do!

american Im not fond of Pumpkin Pie but I was very grateful for the Wispa Gold desk drop at work the other day. jane were your cries of desire for Wispa Gold a hint? Should I be taking orders?

Glad to hear other babies are tottering too. R is sooooooo proud of herself. I think she'll be walking properly by Christmas and pulling the tree over

Right. Better crack on. I think I should be writing Christmas cards but instead I'm gorging on half price Ben and Jerry's.

Evening all,

jane we lit a candle for Zoe today, she's gone but not forgotten. Glad you had a good day with mindees. Truffles would also be lovely with milk choc, just make sue you get a good make.

choc what is a Wispa Gold and is it really worth 12 of my precious syns?

reastie funny photos, loved the one of your gorgeous family at Dover Castle. Next time you're down this way please let me know, I'd LOVE to buy you a gin coffee :)

hubbard so glad you've an appt for F, lets hope you get some resolution soon.

ledkr glad all well with Dills, I was wondering if it would be an internet fail.

ponyo not surprised you're tired, sounds like a long hard day.

expat really hope L's jetlag sorts out soon, sounds grim. Gotta love cheerios Grin

Had a nice today, girls played together nicely in the afternoon so I could MN get on with some housework. House looks a tip still though! Saw the nurse this am about the Implant- going to have it put in next week. You have to have a local anaesthetic first, yuk. It'll work for three years though. Am quietly impressed at my organisation Grin, but I really don't want any more LOs, I want to get to uni to retrain. I think about it all the time.

chocoroo · 28/11/2011 20:52

Is a Wispa Gold worth 12 syns? I don't think so. I'd go for a Crunchie. Or maybe a Boost. I'm a Creme Egg addict though. A Wispa Gold is a Wispa with caramel in it. I keep campaigning for Wispa Bite to make a reappearance but the last time I was in the factory they laughed at me for saying it so I'm not holding my breath!

What course do you want to do deb? I wish I could do another course but we'd have to win the lotto!

OP posts:
debka · 28/11/2011 21:13

I had a Twirl tonight- is that Cadburys? Am I allowed? Grin

Have I not told you all about my Ambition? I've never really wanted to do anything, I mean, I've done lots of stuff but it's all been hey Deb, fancy going to Russia, me, yeah ok then, can do! So it's a big thing for me to actually want to do something. Anyway, I want to train to be a midwife. I've not been to uni, I did a TEFL course and have taught English to furriners for years but I've no passion for it. It won't be for a few years yet, I'll have to wait till the girls are in school/nursery, but I really really want to do it. I reckon I'd be amazing. Grin

reastie · 28/11/2011 21:34

deb I seem to recall having the mw convo a while ago and quite a few ladies on here also wanted to or considered mwery too. Go you Wink . I bet you'll be great and think of all those newborns you get to cuddle Grin Envy . Is there somewhere near you where you can train?

choc at the gym again eh? I remember when I went to the gym they always used to put me on a program with that dreaded incline on high - makes it so much harder doesn't it?

Well, I've never had a wispa gold - what is it? If it's white chocolate I'm not bothered - I'm a milk and dark choc girl Grin

ponyo I am yawning just thinking about having 2 jobs. Hope A sleeps super well for you to catch up. I worked out how much I'll actually get paid after all the deductions of tax/petrol etc etc etc. It's not much let me tell you. I was saying to DH is it really worth me doing all this work and stress for such little money apparently it is

reastie · 28/11/2011 21:47

Forgot to say deb good luck with the implant. I'm sure it'll be fine (well, can't be as bad as having a coil put in Wink ) . It feels nice having that aspect all covered too and not have to worry or think about it at all - I'm all sorted for 10 years Grin

janedoe25 · 28/11/2011 22:19

choccoo Shock at wispa gold desk drop, Oh I would be in heaven, just sent the lorries round my way! BTW what is a wispa bite?

debka Me too! Well i did until I had the experience of a stillbirth, I really don't know if I could help others through that and deliver the baby.Sad I was accepted into uni to do midwifery but I was only 17 and I felt I wasn't mature enough to take the place, I so regret that choice now!

ponyo 2 jobs Shock Enjoy your lazy wed. I have a cheeky day off too, mindees parents are taking the day off Grin.

debka · 29/11/2011 00:04

Poor little S, just woke herself up coughing :( I got her up, she pulled my hair for 15 mins and I've put her back in bed. Think she's gone off, just waiting a bit till I'm sure!

O bugger. More crying....

debka · 29/11/2011 00:17

Well a couple of wails but quiet now... wonder if I can risk going back to bed? What happened to my good nights? Imy fell out of bed last night at 1.30am, don't know how she managed that, she's got a bed guard!

hubbard86 · 29/11/2011 00:18

deb i'm up too. Tom decided his bed was too good to throw up on so did mine instead in the process wakng freya up as i moved her into my room as it was warmer. Finally got tom sorted, dh is on the sofa as only have 1 spare single 4tog duvet (i'm bloody freezing) and he has the coal fire and blankets. Freya is lying awake and keeps shouting at me as i'm refusing to pick her up again. I hope she goes off soon I'm so tired i just want to sleep.

hubbard86 · 29/11/2011 00:20

janedoe25 · 29/11/2011 07:05

Oh no deb and Hubbard, hope the little ones went back to sleep and feel better today.. Day for the house for me and baby mindee I think, the weather is wild today!

Hope you all have a good day Smile

debka · 29/11/2011 07:19

hubbard sorry i missed you- i went back to bed! Your night sounds awful, way worse than mine, coal fire, blankets, blimey. Hope you got some rest in the end.

Took me ages to get back off Angry, then S coughed again from 2.45-3.15 Shock. Didn't get up to her though Blush. She lay in till 7 this am thankfully.

jane def an in-day. I remember you saying that about midwifery training. I hope I'd be able to help and be there for a woman who had a stillbirth. What were your mws like?

janedoe25 · 29/11/2011 08:03

Debka, they were amazing it was just the consultant who was a bad sweary word!

hubbard86 · 29/11/2011 10:42

you know when your so tired your eyes itch and water. Tom's woken up fine so i don't know what it was. I ended up putting freya into my bed but she was really restless and didn't sleep for longer than a 45min stretch before waking. I haven't been this tired since she was a newborn

WeAreBorg · 29/11/2011 13:35

Hello everyone,

Sorry for not being on for a while, I'm finding this work lark exhausting!

hubbard so pleased you have an appointment but not nice at all to not have heating, and bad sleep on top of that - thinking of you, and my house is always freezing if it's any consolation. Nate was up every 45mins or so last night too, DH went to the spare room. He has his top teeth coming through so I think it's probably that.

deb very exciting about the retraining thing. I love the idea of being a part of something so special, but then I think about having to stitch up a ripped up fanny and I feel really queasy. Maybe I could be a midwife that stays at the head end? I have dreams of being a psychiatrist. I love your photos, S is gorgeous!

reastie lovely piccies as usual, that outfit looks so cosy and A is a beauty like her mum.

jane Grin at selling your soul for a wispa gold. Hope you are okay, thinking of you and lovely Zoe.

ponyo 2 jobs! I am most impressed, get back to the sofa and watch some telly with me woman.

choc I want to go to the gym. How do you organise it?

Oh I love hearing what the babies are getting up to. N has spuggy legs so is not very good at walking, although he really wants to. He pushes his walker with his legs really far apart without bending them, think of an elderly zombie pushing a zimmerframe and that's what he looks like

reastie · 29/11/2011 14:56

Hello ladies,

Just got back from my local christmas warehouse garden centre and will not be going back until after christmas - NINE bleeding coaches I counted in the car park. Full of very slow grannies with huge shopping trolleys getting in my way. There's a limit to how many times you can politely say 'excuse me' Hmm

borg good to hear from you. I love the thought of N walking like an OAP zombie Wink

hubbard hope you manage to get some sleep. Any news on the heating?

Very excited - Alice has started saying dada and baba today. She sounds so cute Grin . Realise lots of other babies have been doing this for yonks, but for us it's exciting.

Tis windy here today, and getting dark so early Sad

WeAreBorg · 29/11/2011 15:12

reastie windy and rainy and very dark here too. Waiting in for an electrician to come round for a quote but he's an hour late. N moaning his way about the house and I have given up trying to entertain him. I think he's eating dried leaves in the hallway now but not too sure, can't be arsed to check

reastie · 29/11/2011 15:24

ah yes borg we have dried leaf in the hall issues too
