Deliaskis · 21/11/2011 20:28

Well C has been fine at Nanna's this afternoon, so I'm a bit more relaxed.

Have been (trying to) catch up, and wanted to add:

reastie - Deb speaks sense with what she says about the ADs, they work better if you take them....

Tarlia glad you have got some help - that's a big step in itself. Hope you start to feel feel better soon.

Can't believe some of the babies are talking! C just babbles away to herself (actually she was doing this between 4am and 5am this morning, then fell back to sleep with her feet in the air, but I was still awake as I had seen ont he cam that her feet were in the air and couldn't get to sleep myself as I was expecting to have to do a dummy run....silly baby, how can you sleep with your legs in the air?

jane I didn't want to put this on the same message as wedding congrats, but at Chatsworth last week, there was a huge Christmas tree on which people were hanging little tags with prayers and thoughts on them, so I wrote one for Zoe, as was thinking about her and you. Not quite lighting a candle but still...

Off now for an early night I think.

ledkr · 21/11/2011 20:35

Ah Tarlia. Dont worry,in these days of litigation no Dr would risk prescribing anything harmfull. When i fed my boys we had no info about anything,i used to drink and eat what i liked and even smoke whilst bf,it just wasnt known or at least wasnt publicised.

My pil issues have taken me months to get over and i am still filled with uncontrollable rage when i think back to how they ruined first night home, particularly as it turned out was to be our only night home for another 2 weeks. Dh and i have talked endlessly about it and that has helped me loads, that and the fact it was the catalyst for me to put my foot down guilt free and with his whole hearted support.
You will feel better soon,im still annoyed that i didnt start my ad's earlier and wasted so much time feeling crap.

wigglesrock · 21/11/2011 20:41

Evening all

Not great time at dentist - going back next week for an hour appointment Shock at least I'm not paying for it Grin

ledkr glad D is continuing to do so well and such a chatterbox Grin

Tarlia you have been so strong going to the Dr - thinking of you and yes you're right the in-laws situations definitely isn't helping xx

Ponyo hope dp is feeling better.

Four4Me gorgeous photos, the boys are growing up so quickly Shock, so handsome

Hope all the babies that are ill start to get better.

Deliaskis · 21/11/2011 20:55

Re babies talking, C is not saying anything that makes any sense, but she does babble A LOT, really loudly, da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-bob-bob-bob-bob-bob-bob-da-da-da-da-da-[blows raspberry] incessantly for like half an hour sometimes, Dh calls it Claudiaspam. I hope it is important for her development or something, cos otherwise it sounds like she's a little off her head.

ILovePonyo · 21/11/2011 21:05

Evening all, just a quick one from me again - its knackering being an unsympathetic nurse! Feel a bit mean after ledkr reminded me that kidney surgery is actually pretty major Blush

Well done talking babies, A can say mamama and I like to think she only says it to me Hmm She learned to wave properly recently, she opens and closes her fist its very cute.

tarlia well done getting those ad's - listen to wise ledkr she talks a lot of sense. I still feel abit pissed off when I think about pil and family invading when dd was small, and they didn't behave as badly as some of the other pil on here.

reastie how are you feeling now? Hope tonight is better for you.

Lovely pics jane and hubbard, jane you look so beautiful and happy, and hubbard F is so cute, as is T the little cutie :)

delia haha you are just like me re: being awake b'cos of needing to do a dummy run, just the sort of thing I would do!

Got to go and make some bottles, A was much better at nursery today and didn't cry, when I picked her up she was laughing at her key worker playing peekaboo (aww) She crawled over to me very fast but didn't cry, phew!

Back tomo ladies hi everyone else :)

reastie · 21/11/2011 21:36

Evening ladies

nurseponyo glad A was happy at nursery. Must be a relief.

tarlia well done on going back to gp and taking the meds. Which medication were you prescribed? [nosy] I've had seroxat prescribed for me but still am too scared to take it

ems that sounds nasty. Hope you and Noah are better soon. Was he alright today?

four4 love the piccies - you have such a beautiful brood and they all look so happy. Love how sweet DS1 and 2 look in their smart suits Grin

deb great quote of the day

Well, no talking at all from alice Hmm . She's very good at moaning, blowing raspberries and screeching though Wink

Feeling a bit better now thanks. hoping for a better night tonight.

Four4me · 21/11/2011 21:52

ponyo glad A is happy at nursery, makes life easier for all.

wiggles poor you with the dentist, I hate them! At least it is still free.

man love kids random quotes. Last night Joseph said 'oh you can't wash my hair tonight coz I have a tummy ache'

reastie glad you are feeling better, take care. X

Tarlia · 22/11/2011 09:34

Good morning. How are you all today? Thank you all so much for the support, it means alot. reastie they are called citalopram. What is preventing you from taking yours? Probably the same reasons i had. Please message me if you want to discuss privately.

Hope you all have a lovely day :-)

Grannyapple · 22/11/2011 10:05

44me fab photos, what a beautiful family you have.

mizk how is the wee one today?

Deliaskis · 22/11/2011 10:12

Yes Ponyo it's that irritating, "I really want to go to sleep but there's no point in getting all sleepy because she's going to yell in about 5 mintues", and then she didn't. Sunday night that is, last night she yelled, from 6am onwards Confused. Sleepy today.

She doesn't seem too poorly tho, no more incidents since she came home from nursery.

Glad A is doing better at nursery.

C is with Grandma today who has just called to report that she has done a 'perfect poo' (ater being poorly yesterday), which I am of course delighted about. My life never used to be like this...

D

ledkr · 22/11/2011 10:29

Blimey, that was a bad night, hardly seemed to be in bed much at all.
I think Dillys wound is sore as she was waking 4 hrly when the pain relief wore off. Although i did have my doubts at 3.30 when she seemed happy enough to slap my face and pull my lips/nose.Didnt seem in too much pain then.
Me and dh are off to choose a fire and a hearth today then a spot of lunch and some xmas shopping.Make the most of his Dilly sick leave.
Then im on helping duty at brownies grr.as if i havent got enough to do.
I asked Ella if she wanted me to wear bright gren eyeshadow and a funny hat.She said no.

Emski76 · 22/11/2011 12:52

Well, I'm sure you are all wondering if Noah made it through nursery yesterday sickie free, and he did!! He was sick about 10 minutes after we got home!! He must have been saving it for me!

Tarlia, I'm on Citalopram too, and think they are amazing. They make me into a relaxed, chill out person (most of the time)! Took about 6 weeks for the cloud to lift once i started taking them but i have no side effects now, and the only side effects i had at the beginning was that my nerves and anxiety got worse for a few weeks.

Delia, my life revolves around Noah's poo's, sick and whether Ben has a dry pull up in the morning! Dh and I discuss it like we're discussing the weather. The joys of parenting!!

Ledkr, wow your night with D sounds bad! Annoying when she was playing at 3am. Noah does that too, wakes up screaming then when he's had a little cuddle he wants to get down and crawl! Enjoy Brownies....mean mummy wanting to wear a hat and green eyeshadow.....my mum used to embarrass me by singing odd songs in front of people....i used to cringe!!

reastie · 22/11/2011 12:59

ledkr enjoy brownies and don't forget to sing along to the songs really loudly to embarrass ella Wink . Hope tonight will be better and glad she seems to be recovering so well.

tarlia i've taken citalopram in the past for IBS (long story - apparently this is a rare treatment for it). I haven't taken my meds yet for various reasons that I won't bore you with. I have hv apt next week I think though

delia I never thought DH and I would have such deep and long discussions about baby poo and other bodily functions - where did my life go?!

ems glad Noah got through nursery OK. Is he feeling better today?

This is really boring but I've discovered dettol apple scented floor wipes - mmm they smell lush Grin

Alice been sleeping since we drove back from tesco - it's been nearly an hour now. Amazing (hence why I had time to use aforementioned floor wipes). Just debating if she'll stay sleeping if I get the hoover out of it that is taking it one step too far Hmm

Off out to get some modelling clay this afo to do alice footprints to frame for parents/PIL for christmas pressies.

Iamjustthemilkmachine · 22/11/2011 19:04

Hello! popping by to congratulate Mrs Janedoe! lovely pic and glad the sun was out for you on the big day!
Also wondering about D's op, glad it's done.
At this end i can report that P isn't sleeping or eating particularly well, but appart from that all is alright. I am starting CBT tomorrow, and I'm very grateful that my GP managed to get that sorted. I'm working one afternoon a week to ease into it ahead of January and Dh and I still bite each others head off most days.
xxx

WeAreBorg · 22/11/2011 19:14

Hello,

Popped on to say a belated congratulations to jane, I was thinking of you over the weekend and you look beautiful in your dress, can't wait for more piccies!

Gorgeous photos from hubbard and 44me, you have lovely families, Freya is so cute, and Tom has the best hair ever. Those boys are rather attractive 44 I think you'll be in trouble in a few years

Sorry for poorly babies, my rubbish memory means I have forgotten who had what but hope they are ok.

Glad Dilly is on the mend!

Well according to my parents who have been looking after N recently, Nate has a vocab of about 20 words, and says apple when he wants some apple, and flapjack when he wants a porridge finger Hmm. Strange how I have never noticed this [deluded grandparents].

Going to try and put N to bed, he has been a terror since I started work. His sleep is more rubbish than usual, he doesn't want to eat anything, and just wanders round his cot instead of sleeping in the evening so just ends up coming to watch TV with us.

WeAreBorg · 22/11/2011 19:15

tarlia well done for getting to the doctors, you're really brave x

tadjennyp · 22/11/2011 19:52

Hello milkmachine - was wondering about you the other day! Glad you are starting your CBT and hope it is really effective for you.

Loving all the photos of gorgeous babies and brides!

Wishing all the babies a speedy recovery from the various lurgies and that Dilly isn't in too much pain with her scar.

Well done tarlia on going to the docs. I was on citalopram too and it helped a lot.

The snow has been and gone again, but dh has the week off for Thanksgiving. Won't be on for a few days as going to Portland to visit my cousin so especially wanted to wish American a Happy Thanksgiving!

Hope you all have excellent weeks and the babies sleep better.

wigglesrock · 22/11/2011 21:27

milkmachine lovely to hear from you, hope CBT goes well x

tadjennyp Enjoy your week and have a great trip.

Tarlia meant to say citalopram was the ad I was on years ago, worked a treat Grin

reastie I have a secret obsession with floor and infact all kinds of cleaning wipes Blush, lemon is my fave but will try the apple! Saw the magazine Blush

I went to my sisters last parenting craft class with her this evening. She's really nervous and excited and nervous and nervous again Grin

reastie · 22/11/2011 21:36

yes wiggles I have all sorts of cleaning wipes - leather sofa wipes are my fave Blush Wink . Glad you got the mag Grin

knitta great to hear from you and hope CBT goes well. I keep forgetting to reply to your pm reply from yonks ago and feel really Blush . I'm so sorry, but all is Ok here. I was diagnosed with pnd in the end

borg good to hear from you - was thinking of you earlier. Shame going back to work hasn't prompted Nate to sleep in his cot through the night Hmm wishful thinking

deb I saw your q for delia (as in smith not as in claudia and delia). I must try and think of a good'un myself and FWIW I have a recipe for quiche where I dont backe blind and it works fine

tad enjoy all that american festivity

Weekly weigh in tomorrow and I am Confused . Bet I don't lose anything as have been eating bit more as Alice feeding more. MIL is going to lend me sw bits so I may join those of you on it. Just my logic tells me if I eat unlimited amounts of pasta and rice how am I going to lose weight?!

ledkr · 22/11/2011 22:05

Bloody hell what a boring evening,dh is watching Ian sodding Hyslop waffling on.

D has had an ok day but still a lot sore when the pain killers wore off.
She's been saying Ella non stop and following her.
Pathetic tho compared to baby borgs impressive vocabulary Grin

I attempted to take dh xmas shopping when will i ever learn? He goes into a sort of fugee state and isnt the slightest bit interested in looking for pressies. He just wants to "go for lunch"

Well done tarlia x

wiggles and reastie. Cleaning wipes? You need to get out more Grin

hubbard86 · 22/11/2011 22:31

well all systems are go for toms 3rd birthday tomorrow. I've just finished icing his fire engine cake. Just got to tidy and decorate. He was so excited today. I've got 13 2&3yr olds coming tomorrow afternoon don't know if i'm mad or not!

I hope dilly feels better soon.
Happy holidays tad

Bad mummy alert. I was at playgroup with freya this morning and while i was sitting behind her i turned to talk to my friend and freya lent to the right and as she has no control on the right she face planted the floor. She even had a little nose bleed. She screamed the place down. I felt so guilty.

ManCrushedToDeathByALift · 23/11/2011 06:31

reastie it totally works if you stick to it. You must just remember to have 1/3 of your plate 'superfree'- that is, fruit and veg. I was naughty this week and gained a lb- thought I might TBH. Am super determined now, I want to get my 2st award next week. Good luck for your weigh in tonight. Re Delia- she bakes the pastry first, with no filling, just with no beans. I've a few recipes where you put the filling onto raw pastry. Really hope she answers!

hubbard rather you than me for the party! Good luck!!!!

ledkr when do they expect D to be back to normal?

wiggs parenting class Envy Grin

My 2 have been quite poorly the last few days with colds and now I'm come down with it too, feel bloody awful. Not sure what we'll do with ourselves today....

wigglesrock · 23/11/2011 09:04

hubbard Happy Birthday Tom!!! You're a saint if I had that many 2/3 year olds coming over I'd have a nicotine drip up already, have a lovely day Grin

reastie good luck with the weigh-in x

ledkr I'll have you know I'm going out this weekend and I don't mean to work Grin, LadyBoys last week, Sarah Milican this week - fun, fun, fun here Grin

ManCrushedToDeathByALift hope you all start to feel better.

jane hope you are enjoying the posh hotel Grin

My bastarding teeth are driving me insane, they are so sore and the painkillers are hurting my tummy [sob], may be time for the pliers, dentistry diy!!!

Oh Sofia got her part in the Christmas play, she's a snowflake, I'm not sure of the significance of snow in the Nativity story but it appears to involve a very complicated dance, although I get a sinking feeling she may have added some of her own steps Blush. I also know the boy shes supposed to be doing the floaty dance with, lets just say he never struck me as someone who'd like to dance - maybe a clash of creative differences before the show methinks Grin

ledkr · 23/11/2011 10:46

wiggs why cant they sort your teeth? I fecking hate teeth. My dental app was just cancelled hooray!
Im not sure about Sarah Millican, bit self depreciating for me i think.Dh says im weird cos i dont like much comedy. In betweeners etc. I like ab fab and Russle Brand and detest rom coms.

mancrushed I need to get back on the sw wagon tbh. 2 stones is amazing well done. You will have to post a picture soon. Are you a few sizes down??
Ive been cooking all yummy winter food and eating too much cake. Hmm

Dilly isnt too bad, although has a snotty green cold so is a bit poorly from that. Dh got up with her all night and i slept right thru which is not like me so must have been tired.

wigglesrock · 23/11/2011 10:58

ledkr I don't like comedy either Grin, Mr W has moments where he still mutters "how can you not like ......" [insert very old comedians name of choice]. Because they're shite doesn't seem to satisfy him Grin. My friend booked the tickets months ago and we completely forgot about it.

I'm getting my teeth fixed tomorrow week, can't get fitted in sooner Sad
