ILovePonyo · 13/11/2011 20:05

Just a quick one from me as I have lots to get ready for work tomo Hmm

ledkr really feel for poor Ella, she doesn't deserve to be treated that bless her, it must be heart breaking for you to see her upset about stupid exh. Is it D's op tomo, good luck to you all x

tarlia sorry to hear how you are feeling, reastie I admire your honesty and agree with you, plus we are always here to chat tarlia it might help.

reastie that is a gorgeous name, I'd nab it for myself if I was planning on another! Wink Anya has been my baby name for years so wouldn't want to change it, fwiw I love the name Alice it is my grandma's name, I might have used it for a middle name for A but my cousin got in there first!

deb sorry to hear about S poor thing. This evening we changed A's nappy and there was the teeniest bit of blood in it - is this normal in baby girls? Couldn't see any more from her bum or foo - am going to check in the morning but wondered if anyone else had had this.

Got to go, back later on hopefully (oh and Borh I was Shock at the sleeping, or lack of, from N - really hope for some improvement for you soon! or are you just used to it now)

Emski76 · 13/11/2011 20:05

Ledkr, I didn't realise it was Dillys op tomorrow. Will be thinking of you.

Tarla, sorry your not feeling so great at the moment. Please see your doctor and get some help. I saw my doctor and started anti D's when Noah was three weeks and it was the best thing I ever did. I still have wobbled but am mostly ok.

Jane, only a few days to go.....!

Hope everyone else is ok.

ILovePonyo · 13/11/2011 20:06

stupid strike out didn't work Hmm

WeAreBorg · 13/11/2011 20:24

tarlia sorry got so excited at seeing your beautiful photos that I didn't mention how sorry I am that you are feeling down. I think quite a few of us have been feeling down at one point or another, and there has been brilliant advice on here.

ledkr I thought Ds op was the 20 something, but if it is tomorrow then best of luck, you won't need it thought, she will be great.

jane hope your getting some pampering in this week. I would love to be 30 if that is any consolation. I was 30 (just) when I got married too (also in Nov, great minds we are Smile)

reastie I really like the name alice, it suits her so well.

deb oh poor little bean, would she take some yucky dioralyte do you think?

ponyo maybe if just a speck and nothing more I wouldn't worry but if there is always blood in her nappy get it checked.

needto hope things are okay with you, keep checking in.

On a different note, what are we getting the babies for Christmas? We may have had this discussion but my dementia is in it's advanced form now.

wigglesrock · 13/11/2011 20:38

ledkr how are you doing, my old mucker? xxxxx (xxxooo - they are for Ella)

Tarlia it can be very isolating when family members are mean old bastards, yes we too are having bil issues again xx The photos are gorgeous, he's absolutely beautiful. Hope you decide to give the Dr a ring.

WeAreBorg hark at you and your male model Grin Santa is getting Anna a rocking moose from IKEA, the Tomy eggs and a few stocking fillers - books, small push toys. My aunt (her godmother) has got her a ride along and my Mum has got her a Fisher Price toy farm I think.

debka hope S feels better soon.

jane are you counting down in hours yet Grin, soooo exciting and stressful Grin Are you able to sleep?

NeedTo I think it may have been your friends funeral this weekend, hope you got to say goodbye in a way you wanted xxx

I'm knackered, and am going in tomorrow after I drop each of the girls to a seperate place Shock Anna has taken really well to spending the odd day with her grandparents, in fact she's been in fab form the past couple of days, still waking at night, which isn't delightful after work but hey hum. Olivia on the other hand appears to have taken umbrage with the fact that I've worked Sat & Sun and appears to think that ignoring everything I say is a suitable way of punishing me!

Tarlia · 13/11/2011 21:08

Thank you all for the support, I really appriciate it. reastie Thank you so much for sharing, that makes me feel less alone. DP hasn't worked it out, nobody has, as far as I'm aware. I may just send you a message, thank you x

Ledkr You are very quiet, I hope you are all ok at your end. If it it D's op tomorrow hugs your way.

deb I hope S is feeling better by the morning. If not then worth trying the BRAT diet (Banana, rice, apple and toast) as its easy on the tummy.

wiggles poor you having to work all weekend :(

Borg Good question, I'll be watching with interest as I'm not sure what to buy him. I will suggest stacking beakers though - we got him some yesterday and he has been playing with them all day long in lots of different ways.

ILovePonyo · 13/11/2011 21:08

Ooh wiggles thats a bit harsh of O - are you bovvered?! Pleased A is settling into her new routine though.

hubbard I meant to say A has been jigging about and fist pumping, but more on me than the floor!

Borg ta, think if there is blood again I'll make docs appt. We are getting A not very much for xmas, sounds mean but I know she'll get spoiled by family and she doesn't really need much (plus finances or lack of), so I will prob just get her some nice clothes and a few toys or books. What are you getting N?

jane eeeek!! 6 sleeps did I read that right?!

dp has gt a new ipod touch and is geeking away on it, I am ashamed to say I am already addicted to one of the games (saddo) but it means I get more laptop time Grin

janedoe25 · 13/11/2011 21:21

wiggles Olivia is such a character! Hope work has been ok? I have missed your chat. I'm not stressed at all (yet), I m iindeed indulging in some pampering, nails and eyebrows and lunch out with my bestie. Not much to do now, just favours to make up rings and dress to collect and things to take to venue! Super excited GrinGrinGrineGrinGrin

Tarlia · 13/11/2011 21:31

Ponyo So sorry I forgot to mention A's blood. I have heard it can happen with little girls, apparently mum rushed me to the doctors as a baby because of just this. Most certainly worth going to the Drs and getting it checked though, if not only to get it on A's records for future reference.

Reastie I do like the name Alice, but you can easily change it up until 12 months for a fee.. or so I've heard.

wigglesrock · 13/11/2011 21:48

jane work hasn't been too bad, the actual work is a lot easier than I remembered but I took the job the week I found out I was pregnant so I'd never done it without feeling shite Grin although I appear to have lost all patience with my lazy co-workers. Blush.

ponyo not bovvered at all, tbh I think that maybe irritating Olivia more Grin.

Have to go, A is up, think she may have hit a big teething spurt.

ILovePonyo · 13/11/2011 21:49

No worries tarlia good point about the records. I will be keeping a close eye on her nappies from now on!

reastie nooo you can't change Alices name!! Grin

hubbard86 · 13/11/2011 22:32

tarlia can only second what everyone else has said get thee to the docs.
Ledkr good luck tomorrow. She'll be fine. Exh is a complete prat.
Reastie i had the name wobbles a while ago when i heard the name tilly/matilda and i didn't know why i hadn't chosen that instead of freya, but she answers to freya now and knows thats her name.
Freya has got 1st xmas babygrow for xmas eve, new outfit xmas day. Vtech shape sorter rocket, iggle piggle, wind up tv lullaby type thing and a dolly and books from tom. Plus her stocking with teddy, books, bath toys, new dummy and socks. (her pjs, outfit and socks are all if she's not in a cast otherwise i'll have to think of something else).
Reading that back she sounds really spoilt but she's not.

I think freyas going through something sleepwise but i think it's teeth waking her up. Even though she's waking 2-5 times a night at the moment, she has 4 tooth buds at the top so it must be quite painful

tadjennyp · 14/11/2011 04:41

Wishing Dilly and ledkr lots of luck for tomorrow. ExH is a v poor excuse for a father.
Glad to hear from you again tarlia and sorry you are still feeling so bad. Does your dh know what his M has been saying about you? That's awful.
S is also waking up a lot in the night. I don't know whether it's teeth or his snotty nose.
Hope all the babies get well soon and the work week goes past easily.

ledkr · 14/11/2011 08:05

Dillys op isnt untill Wednesday-wiggles will know that Grin
Thanks for all the kind words tho,ill save them in a jar.
Bit nervous but will be so lovely to get it over with and move on.
wiggs I also found i was pg the week i started my new job-was redeployed-i hate the job and being pg was the only thing that kept me there. Im wondering if ill be better when i go back without the hormones and head full of being pg at 43.
ponyo Ella had that at birth,id maybe just check it out,was it in her pooh?
jane "CITED" thats what we say in our family Grin
reastie I told dh i liked India when i was pg but he said no. I mentioned it the other day and he said he liked it Confused The thing is now tho,she is Delilah and couldnt be anything else.
tarlia Obviously sympathetic re pils and pnd.Im better since im on the old prozac but i still think lack of sleep is to blame
borg I do believe you are funnier than me Angry i love your casual use of swear words.Arent Drs wives meant to be a bit laa dee daa? My mate who is married to a brain surgeon is hillarious too, hard drinking and swears like a navvy. Her dh is a typical bow tie wearing consultant with a very genteeeel manner. His name is William and i insist on calling him Bill which he clearly hates Grin

Well big announcement is DELILAH SLEPT ALL NIGHT. Great achievement at 9 months i thought Hmm Me and dh are all excited cos we had 7 straight hours but didnt that used to be a bad night pre baby?
Im gutted cos even if it does last it will be disrupted on Wed Sad just my luck.

Oh yes american that info was interesting but did you notice gave absolutley no advice on what to do about it Hmm

Sorry if i missed anyone

Deliaskis · 14/11/2011 09:42

Morning all,

Well mixed weekend here. Saturday lovely, Saturday night no sleep due to DH's boys poker night keeping me awake until 1.30 and then C waking us up at 6am coughing and snotty and generally miserable. Then she was a mard most of yesterday (feeling under the weather I think), and kept stuffing her face at teatime (now completely don't believe that babies left to their own devices stop when they've had enough) so was screaming with poorly tummy at bedtime, two enormous farts later and she drifted off to dreamland lol. She just woke once in the night full of snot, but then we had to wake her at 7 and she's in a lovely mood this morning (lucky nursery people!) so hopefully yesterday was a blip.

Ledkr yippee for finally getting a full night's sleep! C is pretty good at night but we are still up early most of the time, we're looking forward to WEdnesday, which is my birthday, as we're going away overnight sans bebe, so will eat, sleeeeeeeeep, and lie-in. Hoorah.
Thinking of you Wednesday tho, am sure it will all be fine, but I know it will be a tough time for you.

Borg sorry for lack of sleep your end, exhaustion is horrid and makes just getting through the day seem like an impossible task. I don't know about C and Christmas yet, we were supposed to have been in our new house with lots of room for exciting toys, but we're not, and so have limited space for plastic cr@p age appropriate educational toys. So might go with Ponyo on the Not Very Much idea as again family will spoil her rotten and her favourite things in the world at the moment are paper and petit filou so really not worth going over the top with pressies.

Tarlia please don't suffer in silence, go to the doctor, tell OH, pm reastie , pm anyone else on here , or just post here, but don't feel like you're alone, you're really not.

Deb so sorry for poorly baby, thinking of you.

Take care all and have a reasonably good day.

Dx

Deliaskis · 14/11/2011 09:43

ooooh and shoudl of course have said squeeeeeee to jane re impending nuptials, final countdown!

Emski76 · 14/11/2011 12:59

Hey all,
WELL, Noah slept really well last night and didn't wake up until 7ish!! Im thinking his wake ups could have been his two top front teeth coming through, then separation anxiety once I'd been in to see him. Woohoo!! You'd think I'd be feeling refreshed today but no, and the bags under my eyes are HUGE!

Deb. Sorry S is poorly. It seems that all our little ones are poorly at the moment.

Ponyo, I think a little blood is normal in a newborn from the mothers hormones (I think ) but best to get A checked out as she quite clearly is not a newborn anymore!

Jane, woo hoo, not long to go now!! Girls have we decided what colour we're going to wear to celebrate? What time is the wedding Jane?

Reastie, I love the Adela, but then I love the name Alice too.

Better go, trying to have my lunch break but idiot men keep disturbing me, then peeking over my shoulder at what I'm doing on the 'puter.

debka · 14/11/2011 13:31

noah and dilly well done on your good nights Grin We were up at 5.30 this morning again Both girls in bed now though.

O God. In Sains today and suddenly my face went like this Shock because I accidentally did a little bit of poo in my knickers Shock Blush Shock Blush Shock. Went straight to bathroom to clean up, felt like the world was watching me though!! I can only assume I've got what S had, cos I feel fine and appetite is normal but O God the SHAME!! DH is considering disowning me Grin

I'm off to drs in a fortnight to talk to the nurse about the Implant. Anyone else had this? What are you all doing about contraception (wiggles need not answer, I remember The Drawer Grin)

Re presents I got both girls a toy in the half price Sains sale, plus they'll have stockings. They have so many adoring relatives they'll be inundated with toys and clothes so we don't spend much Blush

MizK · 14/11/2011 14:35

Hi all, after a week or so of not coming on here there is sooo much to catch up on so please excuse me for not saying proper hellos to everyone. Thanks to ponyo for texting me today, made me get my behind on mn!

deb eeeeeeeeeeeekkkkk!!! God how mortifying hope you feel better soon, can't believe you told DH how brave! I would have denied on pain of of death!

Hope all work ladies are getting on OK, shall admit to a bit of unworthy envy cause am finding Stepford Wifedom a tad dull now..... only so many exciting household tasks and baby groups a girl can take! Any other SAHMs going to fess up to these evil feelings?

Am so tired cause Cassia is still having two full night feeds. She is getting so huge, think due to the sheer amount of milk she is having as well as her solids (such as they are...breadsticks and melon for the most part). Its so draining still having these horrid broken nights!

Right, I've returned to thread on a v moany note so shall stop! Off to catch up on everybody's news x

Deliaskis · 14/11/2011 14:53

MizK funny you say that about working/SAHM Stepford Mum life....I was thinking last night (as I was shattered) how nice it would be to not have to come to work today, then I thought about it really, and I realised that my life at work is actually a lot easier and less draining than when I was at home, and actually the thought of potentially a whole week of SAHM-ness stretching ahead of me was more that a little bit overwhelming. I think the idea of it is all very well, but it depends on us all getting nice sleep, C being cute and giggly and fun, and napping perfectly, and the sun shining for our walk etc, but of course it's never actually like that most of the time. So I don't think they're evil feelings that you're having, I would be the same if I was still at home.

Deb v sorry again for poorly baby and eeeek for the 'Sainsburys incident' - poor you, mortified doesn't even cover it I wouldn't think!

Dx

ledkr · 14/11/2011 16:03

deb thanks for sharing that Hmm I remember a friend having a far bigger accident and its soaked thru onto the baby she had in a sling. She was on a bus Shock.

mizk I feel the same re Dilly waking every night. Its ridiculous sat there in bed feeding a giant baby. I am finding the impact on my life huge too,i dont do anything anymore cos im too tired, dont exercise, laugh.go out, have sex, read.I just want to slump about and eat crap hence weight not shifting,i sometimes feel so resentfull cos my dc's were all grown and i was finally getting a life back.God i sound selfish but it really does get you down,i feel a different person today cos she actually manged asleep over night. Im going to tackle it after the op.Possible stop bottles all together so she can t have one in the night,i havent decided yet.

Took Dilly to baby group and they gave her a little card and pressie,i felt so emotional, cant bare to think of her frightened or in pain [sasd]

ledkr · 14/11/2011 16:26

Just a thought.Shall i text Deb when Dilly is out of theatre cos i wont be online for a bit unless phone works in there. Are you around Wed Deb?

ManCrushedToDeathInALift · 14/11/2011 16:44

Hi all it's debka under a new guise... Can't go out with my old name for obvious reasons... Grin

ledkr I'd be terrified too, but she will be absolutely fine, this op is routine and the drs and nurses will know just what to do to make it easier for her. You're v welcome to text, not doing anything special on Wednesday so I can update everyone on here. I remember the absolute exhaustion when you're up every night, no good stretches of sleep, it is torture. Perhaps she'll 'reset' herself after the op but if not I would also consider sorting her out. S has stopped bfing now and has all her drinks out of a beaker, so stopping the bottles is definitely not impossible.

mizk I would love to go out to work, it is so bloody boring being home all day. Oh for the luxury of doing a wee on my own.

reastie · 14/11/2011 17:03

deb mancrushed Blush on your behalf. You see, delia will back me up on the fact that if you would have gone to waitrose this would not have happened Grin Wink

ledkr how sweet of the baby group. I know we can all tell you she will be fine but it won't stop you feeling nervous Confused . We are here for hand holding.

Argh, nutters, gtg, back soon

janedoe25 · 14/11/2011 17:31

deb Oh no, but it could have been worse Grin. I managed to pooh the bed In egypt last summer, I had a stomache bug too. It was not pleasant. Blush

Im glad Noah abd Dilly slepy well last night, long may it last!

Final fiinal dress fitting tomorrow and I hopefully get to take it home!
