Sorry Meglet if you wanted to start the thread with your title but I thought I'd best do it while there was still one space to post the link to this one on the last one.

me too!

CappuccinoCarrie · 30/11/2011 19:27

I have no creative flair for christmas names. Ideas anyone?
Perhaps I should ask DS1 who tonight referred to the 'cradle crap shampoo' Grin

Meglet · 30/11/2011 21:10

Can't post for a bit as Frozen Planet is on.

Come on MrsA! My other over due friend is being induced tomorrow at 12 days over.

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 01/12/2011 21:08

I'm still hanging on ladies! 41+1 today.

I've managed to hoover the house and put washing on and have a brief nap.

Today I had some cramping/loud pain when I sat forward in the chair but it faded when I leant back, so assume it was BHs. Bump has been rock hard and baby been doing the tango all day.
My boobs are killing me/worrying me. They are now too sore to touch and several times I've had shooting, stabbing pains through the whole breast which have lasted over 5 mins and brought tears to my eyes.

Are these good signs do you reckon?

Midwife coming tomorrow to do a sweep and another one on Sunday. From Wed we are then looking at expectant monitoring involving scans to make sure baby is OK as I refuse induction unless baby is in extreme danger.

I hate xmas trees and songs as I can't look forward to xmas yet as I expected this baby to be out!!
Arrrgghhh.

Meglet · 01/12/2011 21:32

crikey mrsA, I don't blame you for climbing the walls. Whatever happens the baby will be here before xmas.

I'm dead pissed off today too. Feb up with the government, fed up with my children pissing about, fed up with winter, fed up with my IBS, fed up with not having a life, fed up with not being able to go to the gym every day like I used to. The whole lot .

Roll on 20th Dec as I break up from work that day and have 2 weeks off!

I might do an Xmas name change. I think I have an old one somewhere.

Meglet · 01/12/2011 22:10

I do have some good news! DD is getting much better at only poo-ing on the toilet and is using the toilet for most of her wee's! She's still in pull-ups as I don't want the hassle of wet clothes but it's starting to click and she's on her way to potty training Smile. We're doing it over Xmas when I'm off work, we only have to go to my mums and stepmums houses and they can cope with pottys and the odd accident.

I've banned her from poo-ing in the potty as I would rather stick pins in my eyes than clean poo out. Wee-ing is fine though as it only needs a slosh around.

ninjinglebells · 01/12/2011 23:07

Great news Hmm they've messed up my tax and taxed me 80% of my wage this month - of all the itme sto do it. Lady at the tax office was horrible, unsympathetic and unhelful Sad

Hoping it'll be sorted next week.

Have Chrsitmas tree - I know it's early but as the kids aren't here all the time I figured they eeded it early to really enjoy it!

Becaroooodolf · 02/12/2011 06:54

Oh ninja!!!!

This happened to me....the month dh and I got our house and got married!!!! Sad

Enjoy your xmas tree!

BB being turned off today so see you all next week after the move...eeek!

x

Meglet · 02/12/2011 06:59

ninja the last time I thought I was over-taxed they were dead snippy when I called them. Got a tax rebate last year as I was right all along.

Just woke up to see my sister (NHS) ranting on FB about Clarkson and the strike, it's even reached her in Oz.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 02/12/2011 08:40

They all sound like good signs to me MrsA. I get the boob pain from time to time, I think it's something to do with milk production. If it gets too much try holding the breast in one hand and massaging it with the other. Sometimes it is less painful to be firm rather than feathery strokery.

Sounds like you need some time out Meglet, any chance your mum or smum could look after the kids over night? You need to look after you too. Fwiw, I think you are amazing. I really do.

Keep plugging away with the rebate Ninja. I think being grumpy and unhelpful is a pre requisite when you work for the tax office, isn't it?!

Debs75 · 02/12/2011 12:42

Nothing for nearly 2 days. Fingers crossed MRSA

Glad you finally got moved Bec we are still waiting but I'm not too bothered now as I don't want to move in the winter months. I can wait till April when DD1 turns 16. We will get extra points as she can't then share with robyn or lucy so we should get higher up the list.

Ninja he is still being a twat then? It must be really hard to bite your tongue all the time when he won't negotiate about his time with the girls but then makes you change for him. I would write it down when he makes you change then you can present him with it when you want something you want. It's a bit mean to stop them from doing a tradition just to make a point.

Got robyn's dates for nursery next term. She has 3 mornings a week which will be lovely for her, and us. We are still holding off on a school place but 3 of her friends are all going to the same school nursery so if we can get a house nearish there we will probably send her to that one. It's a pretty good one and I am sure having friends already there won't hurt

ninjinglebells · 02/12/2011 22:05

well - MrsA's baby was still there 4 hours ago (checked Facebook!)

Debs how do you feel about having a nearly 16 yr old Shock. Mind you my younger sister has a nearly 19 yr old.

Work may have managed to get my correct tax code so I think they'll be able to get an emergency payment to me, phew!

DD1 was playing the cornet at the Christmas Light turn on at the village Chrsitmas tree - I was very proud Smile

CappuccinoCarrie · 02/12/2011 22:11

DS1 said he'd like to wear pants today. So that's it, we're potty training. Two hits and two misses today. I may require a lot of therapy this time tomorrow
My other overdue friend was being induced today...no news yet...

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 02/12/2011 23:16

Still here guys. Midwife tried to sweep and cervix is closed by membranes but is opening up in a v shape by the vagina and is thin, so all looking good for some point soon I hope! Having very painful BHs most of the day. Don't think they are contx but not sure! Midwife said I'd know! She's now staying nearby in a hotel bless her. C watched the internal and wasn't phased a bit but mil back now so we have childcare! Keep feeloing lots of bottom pressure too.

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 03/12/2011 07:00

Been up most of night and had 2 big bloody shows. Contractions coming quite strong but only lasting 30secs or so, so think I'm in early labour. Midwife on her way, so will keep you up to date! No mentions on fb please!

Meglet · 03/12/2011 08:29

My lips are sealed mrsA. Nearly there now.

So much for dark mornings and busy weeks tiring my children out. They woke up at 5:30am. I've spent the last 3 hours trying to keep them quiet. They'll both be shattered by lunchtime Angry.

DebiTheScot · 03/12/2011 13:49

Oooo exciting stuff! Good luck MrsA hope it goes the way you want.
There's a race on now then as someone on my running thread is about to have a baby too.

Poor you Meglet, that's far, far, far too early.

OP posts:
Kagey · 03/12/2011 14:15

Excellent progress MrsA Smile best wishes to you!

Ninja hope your work sorted out an emergency payment - not what anyone needs just before Christmas Sad.

CappuccinoCarrie · 03/12/2011 14:51

Still no news from mrsa or my RL friend who's being induced...c'mon girls you can do it! I'm soooooo excited for you!
Had a lovely girly shopping trip in town with DD this morning, she's such a pleasure to go shopping with as she never asks for anything, but feels totally blessed by having got a dress, a hat and a sticker book :) DS2 is a bit grumpy about having spent an entire morning in the buggy though! DS1 was left in DH's capable hands for a morning of potty practice. More misses than hits but he's still keen on pants so here's hoping. I have a date with my best friend, some scrapbooking, and a bottle of Wine tonight Grin

CappuccinoCarrie · 03/12/2011 15:03

My RL friend had a girl called Katy at midday, 9lb 4oz. Come on MrsA then I'll only have to remember one date for two birthdays!!! Hope its going really really well for you

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 03/12/2011 16:54

Still here ladies. After a morning of good progress things have gone quiet. Got to 3cm and all is fine but now slowed. IM gone to hotel and we'll see what this evening brings. Pool ready, c at nana's house and dp and I just chilling. IM relaxed- after all it's my first proper labour so may be slow. I only ever got to 3 cm with c and ended up with epidural strapped to bed. This time I've done it on tens alone. IM reckons my waters should go tonight and things will hot up so currently dozing in and off.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 03/12/2011 19:09

Wowzers MrsA. sounds like things are happening for you. Eat, chill and sleep, so you can be in tip top shape for when it kicks off. You WILL be meeting your baby soon Smile

digitalgirl · 03/12/2011 19:26

Ooo MrsA!

notcitrus · 03/12/2011 19:39

Good luck MrsA!
Have a nice snooze.
