mylife look away now.......D slept 7.30 till 7.30! Wow! It's a first and it was very weird waking up naturally. I just hope it means he is seeing off his cold not incubating something worse!
Happy birthday A, have a lovely day cake I blubbed when I opened his cards!
Memphis thanks for the portion advice, hope they sort the car for u.
Trudy I really hope things improve for u today, do u have groups over there?
I'm supposed to be working so I'd better go! Have a good day all.

memphis83 · 27/07/2011 10:32

on that portion advice its a sheet they gave me and it says age from 9 months to 2 years, she said she visits a lot of people who think their kids dont eat a lot but it fits the guidelines. Got to find other thigs for him to eat as i put stuff on his spoon and it goes up to mouth, food goes over his shoulder and then spoon goes in, he really isnt that keen on pasta either, and they said to hold off on the white potato for another 6 months as it makes him sick.
Ive put L to bed he was being a pain in the bum winging so off he went to bed and didnt even fight it!
mlic it does seem to be sorted but, I have a horrible feeling I will still have to pay for it myself and then take it further. :( So i they do pay I will be pleasantly surprised! The bloke sounds like a complete knobber and thats the one thing that will make me fight him on it!

Sorry about being a broken record MLIC. I do realise how much I am moaning and whinging and I will def stop that now. Thanks for all your support all!

We do have groups here but they are all on summer break but I couldn't leave her with the group leader. She is properly terrified and hysterical, it's not that she is just crying and I should toughen up and let her get on with it. She is really, really scared.

But like you all said, ffhopeffully it's just a phase.

Just wrapped all her presents and got all tearful about it. My little baby fwill be one tomorrow.

Tomorrow it will just be the three of us. Not got any plans, just do what she wants. Then we are having a party on Saturday.

ffHave you got it sorted memphis? Really sorry fyou were given this mucfh trouble. I hate it when big companies try to weasle out of responsibilities.

As for portion sizes. M eats much more than I ever thought babies would and much bigger portions than tsc or memphis said. But again, all babies are diffferent, aren't they. And she is a little chubbster so seems to need all those calories.

Have a good day all.

Had the manager of the original garage on the phone just now, they are collecting the car on Monday and giving me a courtesy car and they are sending it back up north to be checked again by his mechanic as he is sure they are over exaggerating, I said fine but they need to locate why the car macks a whirring noise and also fix the bonnet lock, on Friday my Fiesta is in for work done and ive arranged for him to do independant check on the new car so I know myself if they are knackered or not, the Bristol Street here is citroen but the one I bought car from is Ford, they must be adamant that they arent worn to drive 120 mles down and collect car, drive it back up there then back to me.

Hey all! Thank you for the birthday wishes. Can NOT believe that baldy baby girl is a year old!

F has been so funny, cute and excited about it all. He even ran off to his bedroom when she woke up and came back with a present for her of a bell from his brio train track Grin and told her that her birthday was downstairs.

Just a quickie as dashing about. Have been out for a birthday brunch and now going for a late lunch and to a great swimming pool with a slide etc then home for cake (at bloody last!)

Hope you all have a good day (and mlic and trudy's improve)

Good luck tsc ! oh and did we ever see your penis 1yo cake?

mlic think it must be something in the air today L has really tried me, he is being a horrible winger, he has had two naps today just because he was doing my head in so much I put him to bed, sure its his teeth or maybe frustration as he is trying to climb all the time now. He wouldnt eat his tea so ive not forced it, im in a foul mood becuase he is, thank goodness ive got work tomorrow and get some peace.

Gosh I'm so sorry MLIC. Hope he's OK now.ffff

fSame ffor F tsc. fHow is he doing now? Congrats on the job. What did I miss about a penis cake?

I knew you didn't mean me being the broken record MLIC, but I make you be one cos I keep going on and on even though you've already said that things might improve when she walks.

fOne year ago (in a few hours) my waters broke. A lot of "last year at this time" has been going on already. Last year around this time, I was still oblivious, cos I thought I still had another 4 weeks to go Shock

fHave a nice evening all.

WhatSheSaid · 27/07/2011 18:54

Happy birthday to A.

I had a night out at the pub quiz last night and we came third.

Trudy, honest, it's not anything you've done/not done. I've had one ultra-independent baby who quite honestly couldn't have cared less if I was in the same building, let alone the same room. I've had another much more clingy baby. I looked after them both the same. There's a bit of luck of the draw in all this, I think.

kkfairybrains · 27/07/2011 20:01

happy birthday A!!!hope she enjoyed her first taste of cake!
mlic and tsc sorry to hear about the battered babies :( does W have any marks mlic?
hope you're feeling better soon tsc. what do you think it could be? bug or flu? brilliant news about the job! it's brilliant to have something else to focus on except kids!
i've been spending every spare minute doing this bloody business plan. such a PITA! hate that kind of stuff. have finished my market research questionnaire so now just need to ask people to fill it in. Confused
E must be cutting teeth as she has a chesty cough and bit of a runny nose and is dribbling like mad. finally an end to weeks of teething! until next time! she's also getting her injections tomorrow so she'll be ratty from that too probably.
trudy i really feel for you. it's so hard to stay strong when you're dealing with it all the time :( oh i was meant to say to you the other day when you said M only sleeps for 1.5 hours during the day that's all E sleeps for too and i think that's the norm. 1.5 - 2 hours anyway.
how are you feeling now memphis?
all i want is chocolate this evening and i'm drained. must be due my period. the joys!
brill news about the sleep viksam!!! long may it continue!

kkfairybrains · 27/07/2011 20:02

anybody heard from needle??

DesperateHousewife21 · 27/07/2011 20:08

Happy birthday A!

I had a good day with my friend, the driving was fine. Dont know what I was worried about Grin
We went shopping at Bluewater and I finally got some jeans that fit, £25 reduced from 50 in Mango.

Hope you're feeling better tsc

DesperateHousewife21 · 27/07/2011 20:08

No not heard from needle, hope shes ok.

memphis83 · 27/07/2011 20:19

kk I have been wondering about needle too, was thinking about FBing her to see if shes ok?!
tsc hope your feeling better and its not the virus thats going about down here, 8 days and I still feel awful! but hugely better than I did at weekend, wish you had taken pics of the penis cake, I hope people didnt think I made a penis cake when I did the 1 cake for L!
dh you need to try and do motorway driving little and often to get your confidence up, I used to drive a lot with work and at first it scared me shitless but now im going through the same thing but on the motorbike!

I have had a headache since I got beat up by my darling boy yesterday, my head hurts when I cough :( I think I took too many painkillers earlier as I got the shakes! and the bloody dog jumped the gate and caught his back leg so now he is limping around. Right im off to bed i feel bobbins!

WhatSheSaid · 27/07/2011 20:23

Trudy for coming third we won a $25 bar tab, which is about 13 quid - between 10 of us Grin. We think we'll use it to get a big platter or two of food between us next time we go as otherwise it will buy us a coke each.
