cakes when dh went off idea of another baby the other week I told him he had one week to decide and if it was a no still I was booking him in and paying for the snip as his xmas present! He will have it done after number 2 even if I take him kicking and screaming, I can be sterelised.

memphis83 · 23/08/2011 09:00

mlic DH would like the snip as its been down to me to sort contrsception for years and he is the one after this one he would never want 3 (neither would I) its just the fact that he has to have a needle in his balls before, in our hospital I would be allowed in to hold his hand! He has only had a few injections in his whole life and has never needed a blood test so its fear of the unknown.

CakeandRoses · 23/08/2011 09:18

Jeez, after putting my own body thru 2 rounds of pg, c-sections and bf, i have zero compunction about asking dh to have the snip mlic in fact i'd relish it Grin

cake L does tidy up but without DH to distract S he just unpacks as quickly as we tidy up. She's very good at tidying throughout the day but it's just what to do with S as they both go to bed at the same time. I've been thinking of cutting her nap down to an hour, I really should get on with it.
Wrt contraception I read recently about a new thing they do which is as effective as a man's vasectomy but much less invasive for the woman. Something to do with putting something in the fallopian tube that gradually causes scar tissue to build up and block the tube so you can't get pg. It sounded interesting cos I'm not one for the pill/coil but I can't find a link to it for the life of me.

tsc I'm only 10 weeks, not due til March I think. Got my scan in 2.5 weeks and can't wait, then I'll start telling people in rl. My family knows and a couple of friends have guessed, but then everyone does when you say you've not been feeling well Hmm

tsc wow is this the granny from hell? peugeot 307, nice car! what will she do for a car, is she getting a new one? Its your week this week at last things are going right!

DesperateHousewife21 · 23/08/2011 15:27

oooh my goddddd! The one time he's asleep for longer than half an hour he's woken up by a car engine starting up right next to him (he was in the buggy and i was sitting in the car with the door open waiting for him to wake up) now he's mr grumpy guts cos he's stil tired grr!

memphis83 · 23/08/2011 15:58

dh I think mlic will be along shortly to repeat about sleep in bed, door and curtain closed, L slept for 2.5 hours today in bed, he is the happiest boy ever because of it.
L has just emptied a whole brand new fabric softener over the floor it was under the pushchair, he opened it himself the dog ran to it to take a drink of it then retched and then L copied him all while I was trying to soak it up!

viksam I think it was you saying about garden toys but if you dont mind plastic toys I got L a fantastic playhouse from toys r us its reduced from 100 down to 50, it clips together in 10 mins and he loves it he spends so much time in it, im also considering a sandpit as he loves them so much but im worried if I take the step and buy one I will regret it.

DesperateHousewife21 · 23/08/2011 16:37

ill give it a go tomo, i haven't got any plans which is a first! I will let you know how i get on. He slept for 40mins in bed this morn.

viks I keep meaning to answer re garden toys, we got L a sand and water table from ELC for her 1st birthday and they play with it every day. It seriously was the best £30 we've spent on her so far!

S has cried/tantrumed all afternoon. He was fine this morning but woke up badly after his nap and has whinged and whinged. I'm at the end of my tether and would give a heck of a lot for DH to come home and 'do bedtime', argh!

The friend I went to the park with texted to say that she'd accidently cooked too much lasagne and would I like the spare - very suspicious since just yesterday I was saying how I just cba to cook with DH gone, that'll go down very nicely though Grin My parents are popping in on their way to the Greenbelt festival tomorrow night so it'll save me cooking for them while I'll most likely have something with Bisto again.

mlic what time did you get your boys up in the end?

Woodlands · 23/08/2011 17:25

Bed is all very well but what if your child is at nursery? There they have no chance but to sleep on a mat in a busy, noisy room. Mind you J slept for an hour there this morning from 11-12 which is going to be his only nap of the day. Just been into town and he's had a nice rest sitting in the buggy so is very happy again now.

memphis sandpit is a great thing to get, we got one for A's 1st birthday, so nearly 3 years ago and it is used pretty much every time we go in the garden. We just got a small one, it's shaped like a big plastic shell and was about 10 quid, we top it up with a bit of new sand every summer as it gets tipped out on to grass etc.

Good score on the car etc tsc. We hopefully have a new dining table and chairs, dh's boss is getting rid of theirs so should be ours. Our current table is old and knackered and none of the chairs match (in fact one of them is a plastic garden chair and another is a swivelly office chair Blush)

memphis83 · 23/08/2011 19:28

woodlands doesnt the nursery have a sleep room? all the nurserys ive seen have a sleep room that is dark with cots in.

wss I think I will cave and get one, he loves it but dh works with sand every day and I hate feeling it in the carpet, on the floor, in the shower but maybe my life is destined to be sprinkled with sand?!

dh I think you need to plan life around a nap not a nap around life, cant you do all the jobs you need to do in the house while he naps so as soon as he wakes your out, so house clean, ironing done, tea prepared, the minute L was awake today we were out the door and into the woods!

Im mildly pissed off tonight, dh has gone out on bike which im fine with but he said he was away thursday which as he gets bike out tells me has changed to tomorrow, ive cooked his tea, roast pork with all the trimming for him to say he will warm it back up and eat later (this in itself pisses me off, when he is late I cook something quick) then outside im talking to my friend and infront of all his mates slapped my ass, grr I was so angry I told him off in front of his mates, they all laughed and he rode off with his tail between his legs!
but on a high note I saw my baby niece today she is turning into such a pretty little girl, and L kept hugging her saying aaaahhhh babeeee although he tried to poke her eye out at one point!

Yes yes I need to rearrange a few things, Im happy doing what Im doing and so is D. It was just the half an hour naps which had me concerned as I didnt think they were long enough.

I know he can sleep without me, has done a few times when Ive been out so feeding him to sleep isnt an issue really. Hes been in bed since half 6 he was so tired bless him.
