mlic I'm so sorry about your grandma :(

Memphis its good to have you back. Sorry you didn't have the holiday you had planned.

Well B slept fine last night she got up at 3am but then she was doing that before we took away the dummy ( I don't think she's ever going to sleep through :( ) but after het bottle she went back off to sleep. Hopefully she'll do the same tonight :)

How many milk feeds?
4

What times?
Morning nap at 10am, afternoon nap at 2pm, bedtime at 7:30pm and in the night at 3am

bf, formula or cows milk (cup or bottle)?
Cow's milk, in a bottle

memphis83 · 15/08/2011 19:02

hello, right ive had a nap to tide me over, L has been in bed for an hour, ive sent dh to get a curry!
kk hope you were impressed by my underwear choice on that thread!
mlic those bright coloured shots are the worse things ever!

mini survey

how many feeds- 3 usually but 4 at the mo due to teething terrorism taking over the house!

what times? 6am ish, 11am and the night feed and if in a mood 3pm all 6oz except the night time one which is 8oz

bf, formula or cows milk?- formula in a bottle, my child will never ever drink from a cup or a sippy cup and right now doubt he ever will! and the last feed of night is bedtime milk, since using it he has slept through (apart from during my lovely relaxing weekend away!!!)

CakeandRoses · 15/08/2011 20:36

dh is working late and A won;t go down, F pissed about too as he's used to us both being here whereas i was split between him and A. soooo fed up and tired.

it sounds as though she's finally trying to sleep now so will hopefully get to eat soon.

memph such a shame about your hols. A becomes a milk demon when teething too - she's been sleeping thru (bar her dream feed) for the last few nights but she's working up to another possession by the teething demon, i can tell.

dylth that's great going re the dummy-removal. how's she going down without it?

stac it was really detailed and amazing - it's all based on your individual body shape and personality and goes to the level of even button size, collar shape and how much cleavage to show!

really recommend it if anyone's got any spare cash to treat themselves and feel like they've got into a bit of a rut appearance-wise. i feel excited about clothes and shopping for the first time in ages and i can already see a difference when i look in the mirror due to wearing the right colour clothes and makeup.

milk feeds: seems tho anywhere from 2 to fong's 23 4 is normal now. i haven't been arsed to stop the dream feed as i thought she might well still need 3 feeds and it suits me to give it to her then rather in the afternoon so i haven't got to try to bf a squirmy toddler baby in public.

think i'll lose the dummy not next weekend (as mother is finally fucking visiting) but the one after then think about dropping the dream feed.

Ah cake I know how you feel, I was thinking about doing the same thing re naps. Usually D has one mid morning then mid afternoon but hes taking longer and longer to down in the eve, Ive just spent the past hour in bed with him feeding him to sleep (sore nipple now!) and was starting to get v pissed off with it all.
He used to go down in 10 mins, what happened to that!?

CakeandRoses · 15/08/2011 20:39

mlic re F co-'sleeping'. he;s been up and down upset lately at night anyway but that night he'd wet his bed as my step-mother had accidentally left his willy poking up in his 'sleepy pants' (they'd put him to bed on sat night) so he'd weed all over his tummy, PJs, bed etc Sad. he was so upset and we were so knackered that dh brought him in with us thinking we'd get more sleep that way (hah!)

OP posts:
Dylthan · 15/08/2011 20:49

cake she goes down fine but with a bottle I feel like all I've probably done is replaced one sucking device for another. She drinks a phenomenal amount of milk though she's having about 9floz at a time Confused I don't know if we're giving her too much.

We get the new puppy next weekend so we'll more than likely have to go through the sleepless weekend all over again. :o

Hello all,
Back from brum yesterday and very very tired. Re te mimi survey
milk feeds
2
times
7am and 7pm
what
formula but started changing the morning one to cows milk which seems to have gone down quite well. I have failed to try a cup yet though so i still baby him and give him a bottle.
Re dummy removal, i did it successfully before but dont feel the need to do it now as he only has it for sleep and naps so it doesnt bother me.....should it??
my pregnant belly is getting bigger and bigger and i have no clothes to dress it in!! I have leggins but STILL CAN NOT SHIFT THIS THRUSH rahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh tmi i know but its driving me nuts. I had three nights worth of pessary and some different cream from the docs and it abated it for a few days but it seems to be back again today. If thats all i have to moan about then things really arnt that bad are they.
chu i dont suffer in the first trimester with tiredness its now that i suffered last time and seem to be suffering again this time too. Work is full on atm as well and with frequent trips to brum thrown in its all a bit much at the moment.
cake sounds knackering, hope u had tea in the end.
tsc Poor u and F, hope things start improving asap!
trudy if it helps to post then dont be quiet, if its better not to then know we are thinking of u and hope all is well!

kkfairybrains · 15/08/2011 22:36

vik i really sympathise wit you about the thrush! i used to nearly have my bits pulled off i used to get it that bad when pregnant. it's just horrible. keep meaning to say congrats on your boy!
trudy don't feel like you have to stay away. we're here whenever you feel ready to rant.
melissa that's really sad about your friend :( don't know what to say to you :(
memphis oh yeah i was well impressed!! sorry your holiday was crap. just bloody typical isn't it. that was really lovely of dh to drive up to spend the day with you!
chul how's your week going?
mlic you looked lovely the other day from what i could see in the pics! i love an excuse to dress up like that!
cakes has A settled? have you started eating them scrumptious looking muffins yet? i have such a craving for a big muffin now after seeing that pic so thanks! style day sounds amazing! does it not rule out so many clothes though when they have to be a specific shade and style and button size and all that or is it just rough guidelines? when's the shopping trip?
well E had an absolute ball on her weekend away! none of them wanted to come home. the little cottage was right by the sea but i'm so glad to have her home and she won't stop cuddling me! it's lovely!
mini survey
feeds: 2
type:cows milk from bottle
times: 8-8:30am and 7:45-8pm
sorry for anyone i've missed!

kkfairybrains · 15/08/2011 22:37

oh woodlands i was wondering how J was after the nursery incident the other day? did you say anything to them about calling you before they gave him calpol?

Dylthan · 15/08/2011 22:45

Are any of the other babies on here getting up regularly every night I.e. not just when teething or poorly but every night or is it just Bethan?

No one else seems to be feeding through the night apart from tsc's tinynewborn. Do you think if we stopped giving her the 3am feed she would stop waking up for it?

CakeandRoses · 15/08/2011 23:57

oh i meant to ask you about E's weekend away kk. what was the reason/idea for that (sorry i might have missed the relevant post). did you miss her like mad?

sorry for giving you muffin-envy, they were rather nice Smile

A settled just after my last post. i've recently confiscated her glorified-pillowcase and she's not goimg down so easily since

dylthan A only wakes with teething/illness and occasionally her dummy. i'd def drop the 3am one - she'll prob get used to it very quickly and you might find she sleeps better generally then.

CakeandRoses · 16/08/2011 00:02

and ouch and eek re your thrush vik and sorry but i loved kk's "i used to nearly have my bits pulled off" r

reminded of the time my cousin's mum walked in on her sawing her thrushy bits with a denman vent hairbrush Grin

CakeandRoses · 16/08/2011 00:06

ps is this not suitable when pg:

Canesten Oral & Cream Duo
This is a convenient pack containing two effective treatments for thrush - a single, fast-acting Canesten Oral capsule, to help clear the infection and a handy tube of Canesten 2% Thrush Cream to immediately cool the external symptoms.
Contains Fluconazole and Clotrimazole

my step-mother swears by this tablet version

OP posts:
CakeandRoses · 16/08/2011 00:08

i've just gone thru the treatment advisor as if i'm pg (and have thrush!) vik and the result said:

We recommend the following products:

Canesten Combi
Canesten Cream Combi
In pregnancy, these should be used under supervision of a clinician or midwife

yy, i don;t say she does sleep thru.

i do agree you can't sleep-train him when ill - i just go with the flow and co-sleep and bf whenever when A's ill.

i reckon you could toughen up in the day more easily tho.

nice one on complaining to the GPs. am surprised she apologised.

the chickenpox thing is one of those great MN divides. she probably did think you were being a bit too involved Grin but offering to go for her is being constructive rather than judgement imo. i do agree with you btw.

OP posts:
CakeandRoses · 16/08/2011 00:19

fyi, you'll prob think i'm mad but i do actually semi-wake/wake A for her dream feed now as the few times i haven;t she's woken up later on

Having major issues with our anti-virus stuff not working on our PC so trying not to go online too much till it's sorted.

Big day yesterday, first snowfall in this city for 80 years! Tbh it was more like sleet and didn't settle but everyone was v excited.

I agree about the chickenpoxtsc. I'm pretty annoyed at the people round here who haven't given MMR as there's now been over 100 cases of measles and G is still vulnerable to it as they don't give MMR till 15 months here.

Hope everyone is well, this no/little internet thing is a bit of a pain but I am getting lots more done round the house Smile.

WhatSheSaid · 16/08/2011 04:09

Oh and milk feeds. 3 a day, first thing in the morning, after daytime sleep and about 6pm.

viksam did you try the probiotics? I get thrush like a fricker later on in pgcy and they do seem to help.

tsc I'd have said the same, when I first read: "I'd go for her" I thought you meant like have a go at her so I could understand her being miffed, only got it once cake answered Grin I think I have a violent sub-nature!

memphis sorry you had such a crap time, no fun at all :( Hopefully you can go again and erase this rubbish week from your memory. Hope all the teething settles down soon!

wss I saw that on the news re snow, that's the only thing I like about winter is the snow when it's falling, once it's landed I want it gone within a day.

mlic fwiw my grandad's 88 and he got diagnosed with bowel cancer last year, he had a few treatments and was given the all clear. Obviously he has regular check-ups but it was treatable. I hope your gran's caught it in time.

cake I'd love to do the colour thing, I know I don't pick good colours for my skin tone. The style thing is probably something I'd do later, I just don't get clothes shopping at the mo. Those muffins look amazingly tasty, don't fancy one though, I've gone right off food all together, 'tis a sad day!

Milk feeds - none
He doesn't get his pint a day, he'll have maybe 100ml of milk on his breakfast and that's it. I should give him some to drink but he never wanted formula from a cup and I'm nervous about cow's milk even though he's been having it on his cereal for about a week with no ill effects...

I'm not on that much at the mo because I feel rough as and the screen makes me vom. Not much longer though and I'll be back to normal

Woodlands · 16/08/2011 08:38

Yes, I saw the snow on the news too WSS!

Poor you Chulita, that sounds really rough.

Thrush is grim viksam - hope the doc can give you something else. Cake, as far as I know, you can't take the tablet when pregnant.

KK, I haven't said anything to nursery - DH did the drop off and pick up yesterday and I forgot when I dropped him off this morning (yes, am supposed to be working...). It's fine really - we'll see if it happens again. They called me yesterday because he had a rash but he seemed fine in himself so they didn't want me to pick him up. He gets random rashes and I don't tend to worry if they don't look bad and he isn't ill.

J has woken in the early hours every night for the past few nights - not sure what the problem is. Luckily last night I gave him some water and cuddled him for a few minutes and he went back down without a fuss, so that wasn't too bad. Hope he starts sleeping through again soon!
