mlic I was thinking thats a time travellers bath time!

our routine is just before 7 bath, then dressed for bed, story, if he doesnt like the book he gets up and picks another, this week its Dear Zoo, then I put him in the cot press his lullaby music, leave him with his bottle to drop off usually without a peep but tonight as daddy is back it took a few trips in to settle him.
vik I like Edgar DH doesnt want us to have traditional type old names I really wanted George, So I chose Lyndon and what DH didnt realise is its old English so I won!

DH has been away so much recently I miss him but when he gets back it takes the night of sniping to get back into the routine of being together again, is this normal? he is doing my head in!

Oh tsc it must be hard man, i do feel for u, u must be knackered!
Do many babies on here hold their own bottles, is D beind in the bottle holding stakes??
CM sent me a pic today of D in a wig at a play center, very very funny!! Im glad they have fun with him like that, its nice.

WhatSheSaid · 11/08/2011 01:29

G just goes into bed (after pyjamas and bottle) at 7 or just before. I never read her a story either - she gets lots in the day. She just goes straight in, sometimes complains about it for about 30 seconds, then goes to sleep. Then dh and I put A to bed together (or just me if he's late back from work)

DesperateHousewife21 · 11/08/2011 07:20

vik I had a low lying placenta with D, they said they more often than not move up so hopefully you'll be fine.

D holds his own beaker, it hasnt got handles so hes still getting used to it. I know its not the same as a bottle but I think he could hold that too if he had one.

He was asleep by half 7 last night, DH has a god awful cold so was blowing his nose/rustling tissues etc last night so kept me awake and eventually woke D up.

Then D decided to get up at 6 bleugh.

What a crappy day! Staying in to do some clearing out.

R doesn't go down till about 9 so bed time all starts about 8ish. She's been holding her bottle for ages think I wasn't quick enough for her. She's still waking in the night and I have no idea why, think I need to speak to the hv.

I went shopping with my mum, only been back about half an hour. Killed a large part of the day and I got a strapless bra that actually fits, its hard finding a 30 when most bras start at 32.

memphis83 · 11/08/2011 19:05

viksam L holds his own bottle, has done for 5 months he wont drink anything if I attempt to hold it unless he is beyond tired.
I agree with mlic I dont see him as a baby anymore so doesnt bother me, I do hate seeing tiny babies having a bottle propped up into their mouth or holding a bottle though.

Ive been flat out today, got back, packed, loaded car, L is just in bed now going out for a spin on my bike before it goes into the lock up for the weekend, Its apparently all kicking off again in the city :( oh well we will be on our jollys tomorrow!

CakeandRoses · 11/08/2011 20:01

so is chul offline?

A can hold a no-handle water beaker no probs but hasn't had a bottle since i could count her age in weeks

work's starting to feel a bit more serious now but still enjoying the change

i hate parties at that time too tsc, we went to one on sunday but were shocked that we managed to get them both down at 10ish beforehand!

I heard from chulita ive posted her some teeny eco nappies, she is away until tomorrow.

been out on the bike and rode dh's spanking new bike I.want.it.

everytime I go to L in his room he is staring into space or at me spaced out and clearly not awake, just went up and he was sitting at the end of the bed staring, very un nerving, My brother is exactly the same at 36 and he has been like it since 6 months, still scary to see my little boy spaced out staring!

CakeandRoses · 11/08/2011 23:39

i've heard from chul too - has been offline at her house but joining us again soon.

have a lovely time memph that must be weird about L's staring but at least you have experience of it

did you go out tsc?

anyone cooking anything nice at the mo? i haven;t baked all week Shock but planning to do a pear and chocolate torte soon

uber-excited about my 'style' day on saturday!! have also ended up on a thread of 'springs' like me and we're all feverishly posting links of coral dresses and bright blue jackets

the cheek of it! Grin funnily enough i looked at yours earlier to see if you'd commented on the best mn names thread cos i couldn't be arsed to look for it. you'd only commented on depressing threads tho, not like my beautiful, shiny twatty spring thread

i don't think i've looked at any others before tho
