mlic how you been youve been quiet!
if L was at nursery he would come back with several forms a day!
Was at work today and heard a police man tell a manager of a shop it was rumoured to be kicking off there, looks like the riot locally will be going ahead friday possibly earlier as shops are starting to close already, DH has been told to lock up all equiptment as they are expecting the jobsite area to bit hit tonight, luckily he is 2 miles from site, he said in hotel last night there was a family there they were all crying including the dad, he had fled their house with little belongings as the rioting had got bad and booked them into dh's hotel.
L came back from my sisters bathed and in his pj's as they had been to the sandpit and I warned her all traces of sand had to be removed before his return! only problem for her was he wouldnt get out of the bath as he loves it so much!

D is asleep and DH is still in London Ive actually got an evening to myself so Im watching eastenders and eating maltesars Grin

MelissaM · 09/08/2011 21:51

E and L are both constantly covered in bruises, bumps and grazes [v bad mummy] Don't think we've had to sign accident book for L yet, but have loads for E. Only one serious accident form that I recall for E, when she had an accident with a scooter and trapped her finger btwn the handle and the floor, cutting her finger along the nail bed. DH ended up having to pick her up early and take her to A&E then referred to another hospital. I don;t think I would worry too much, but a little Shock at two older girls trying to cuddle him. Don't they keep the different age groups separate? Actually thinking about it at our nursery they mix at the end of the day when there aren't many left.

Apparently calls her to riot tonight too (well in Ssouthampton - am hoping Winchester will get away without any problems). Hope you and your families and friends all stay safe.

Hello, sorry i havent posted, been too busy looking at the riots and watching my city center being smashed to bits. Did anyone see that footage of the teenager and the rucksack, made me feel very sick.
Scan wend great, all is well with the baby, lots of movement and all looking great. Got a low lying placent though so will have another scan on wk 36 to check its moved.
We found out that we are having another boy, it makes me grin even now. I love the fact that i can think about him and think about names and stuff. I feel really happy now, given that i was devestated at the beginning. I just feel really really lucky.
Can i ask, those of you that have experience of schols etc, its a stupid question but will D go to school the sept after he is 4 in the july? or will it be the following year?

Woodlands · 09/08/2011 22:37

aw congrats on the boy news viksam! Boys are fab!

Melissa, there isn't much outside space at nursery so both the baby room and the 2 to 5s share it - hence why it happened. The baby room is v v quiet just now as lots of them are settling into the 2-5s, and lots will be starting over the next few weeks, but this afternoon they only had 2 babies there (max 18!).

I'm not too worried, he seems very happy and settled at nursery already, and I really like the family environment.

memphis83 · 09/08/2011 23:36

viksam congrats on the boy news any ideas of names yet?
had my friend here tonight I kept L awake to see her then put him down and he hasnt made a peep all night, dh didnt ring tonight so ive been worrying but thought I wont call in case after a long day they have had a few drinks, just called him he has been in bed sonce 10! worried for nothing!
Its apparently kicked off in Leicester and set to kick off in the surrounding towns, that means us probably :( my friend owns a pub and has been warned to expect trouble through the night or tomorrow, nothing they can get here really just a co op, one tv shop, kebab houses and bike shops, so hoping it wont be worth the effort!
but to top off my day I bought a salmon ready meal from M & S and ive been ill in all directions since, my friend had great company Grin

DesperateHousewife21 · 10/08/2011 07:17

vik congrats on the boy! I think they go to school in the Sept after their 4th birthday, they do round here anyway.

I saw the rucksack footage, felt so sorry for him, what utter thugs.

Im going into town today to meet a friend and get a long-needed wax!

CakeandRoses · 10/08/2011 07:50

well it's all just shit here - literally. After F waking me up three times in a row to ask me random stuff like "where's daddy? he's downstairs" Confused, he then decided not to bother to wake me when he needed a poo so shat his PJs, went to the loo and took them off covering himself with shit in the process and walked a trail of it from the loo all the way to my bedside, taking out my bedspread (which had fallen off the bed) and a cushion en route Angry

great fucking start to my 'day off' with them

Anyway

vik i'm so so pleased for you that the scan went well. and another boy - how lovely Smile, little boys are particularly scrumptious i think (they're all lovely really but baby boys make me all pfbitis - shitty house notwithstanding). they'll hopefully be like best friends they'll be so close in age.

you're going to have to come up with something good to 'match' d's name!

what's everyone doing today? we're just mooching about (have lots to catch up on after being 'at work' yesterday) and then meeting a friend for coffee later.

CakeandRoses · 10/08/2011 07:51

oh and vik i think it's the term after they turn 4 - so in D's case that would be the sept. your two will only be a school year apart like mine (if i get over the home ed-obsession)

OP posts:
DesperateHousewife21 · 10/08/2011 08:00

I was watching the sex ed show last night and there was a newborn boy on there and he was just scrum diddly umptious!

We didnt have a great night either, He went to bed at half 7 and woke up at half 6 but was up 3 times in between. The longest stretch of sleep I got was 3 hours.

Morning folks

Great news about your boy viks any idea of names? How many weeks are you?

This rioting is disgusting, mindless idiots who don't realise there will be consequences for everyone for their vandalismAngry. We are meant to be being hit at the weekend, fb groups have been circulating for all major cities.

cakes you poor soul with the shit fest! I remember J doing it all over the kitchen cupboards . Hope your day gets better.

woods I think you've found your answer as to why he's had loads of bumps, 2_5 yo's may not be quite as careful with the lo's hope J's ok.

memphis how bads the damage your end? Whens dh home?

My sis got sent to hospital yesterday with a cyst ain her groin, its been draine and packed so hoping she is home today. R had yet another crap night. People who used Dr Browns what did you switch to? I am sick of them leaking.

DesperateHousewife21 · 10/08/2011 09:51

stac your poor sis that sounds horrible :( hope she is better very soon.

tsc its a start :)

memphis83 · 10/08/2011 09:59

stac damage isnt that bad here really, petrol bombed near the market, it brings a lot people to city so im glad that they didnt actually get market, they looted a camera shop and a poundstretcher...a bloody poundstretcher! they tried to get into the new posh shopping center but gave up, not sure why as onct they were in they would have to get through shutters of each shop, a hotel front, nandos and other shops had windows cracked and smashed, they poilce were in full force and I think they actually scared them off to a point but the big riot is due tomorrow, my friends family are all in Scotland and they have been warned to expect trouble fri/sat seems no where is safe!
my friend lives in Wolverhampton and she is moving away from area Friday, sge was on her own in house last night and 50 masked men were outside her house.
DH is home tonight thank goodness, ive got to iron and pack for friday!!
hope your sister improves ASAP.

memphis83 · 10/08/2011 16:36

Thanks for the congrats, i LOVE knowing whats in there, i thought id feel like i had spoiled the suprise but i totally dont. Gota go back for a scan on wk 36 as i have a low lying placenta, hope that doesnt result in a csection.
Im 21 weeks on saturday, no names yet but ur right cake lord only knows what we will go for, my DH likes Edgar.......Hmmmm im not so sure! bit sick of all the 'jokes' about somerset/dorset etc.
Question.........how long does it take for babies to go to bed, i mean how long do u spend doing some sort of routine, e.g after bath and book and half a bottle we go upstairs and from then it takes me around 20 mins for rest of bottle and song and rock. I worry that i wont have that special time with him when newby comes. Also what vices does anyone have, i think my worst is rocking him off at night, i must stop doing it, he does go down still awake but only just. Hes been rolling round his cot for about half hour, hope he drops off soon!

CakeandRoses · 10/08/2011 20:23

Glad to have you back mlic and pleased you're feeling a better.

A's been very much the same as W since yday. F's also teething so between them they're driving me nuts. Lost my mobile all afternoon and then found it in the kitchen bin this evening - I don't even think it was F who put it there, i think it was me Confused

i also just went to put dh and my plates in the freezer to chill ready for our dinner

did chul say she'd be offline at her parents this week?

am kinda looking forward to working tomo to get a break Blush

OP posts:
CakeandRoses · 10/08/2011 20:28

vik they're all so different with bedtime and i think it's mostly how they are rather than how you've made them iyswim?

F has always been a royal pain in the arse with going to sleep whereas A has always gone straight down with no fuss (occasionally she won't and then i know she'll be up for ages as there will be a specific reason)

We go upstairs at 7pm and put them in bed around 7.30pm

OP posts:
Woodlands · 10/08/2011 20:30

It is very quiet!

Re bedtime routine: I can imagine it must be a bit of a worry with the new baby. Is your DP around at bedtime? Perhaps you could take a child each at that time of day? Things like the bath and book you could maybe do for them both together, start introducing a bedtime routine for the new baby from day 1 even if he then doesn't go down for hours.

Here, we run the bath at about 6.30. He has a story with daddy at about 6.50ish. Then at 7ish I take over and BF for about 15-20 minutes. So he's generally put down in his cot by 7.30, normally still awake at that point.
