cakes love the hair how did you sort it?

vik we str going centerparcs, my grandad gave me and mum £100 and we won £100 on the bonus ball last week so thats gone in out holiday kitty!
how was scan?
dh is away, L woke up 5 times in the night, by 2 I hadnt had any sleep then when I dozed off I had a nightmare people were in the house so was up most of the night...but on a brighter note he has woken up with a tooth! so its been worth it! my boy finally has 3 teeth! he keeps picking up the phone, putting it to his ear and saying hello then babbling!

Woodlands · 08/08/2011 20:16

hooray for the new tooth memphis! hope you have a better night tonight.

I see needle has posted her news on FB, glad all is well with her pregnancy.

I was meaning to say about the NCT meet up (I didn't do the classes, just got to know the group who did!) that it was interesting to see who was walking etc. There were nine babies aged 12.5-14 months (J is second youngest), and only two were walking, and one of those only just in the last few days. The oldest baby has literally only just started crawling, and there is one baby still not crawling. It seemed surprising compared to this group where I know J is one of the only babies still not walking.

memphis83 · 08/08/2011 20:17

Im sitting here worrying about everyone in London, reading on here and the newsfeed online at how fast it is spreading across London, they are trying to call on more people to start the riots, got myself in a right tizz DH is in London, didnt know where, and I couldnt get hold of him but he has just phoned to say he is near Olympic site and its no where near him. Now then after that stress I have ice cream to eat to calm me down!

Woodlands · 08/08/2011 20:25

Good plan!

Yes, my blinking husband has gone out this evening to visit a friend the other side of London. I did suggest it wouldn't be the best idea for him to be walking home from the tube (we live in one of the places where there was trouble last night) late at night, but he said he wasn't going to be scared off doing what he wanted by a load of thugs. I'm sure he'll be fine, but I won't be able to sleep till he's home.

memphis83 · 08/08/2011 20:30

woodlands I would be the same worrying til he arrived, I think this is going to get worse before it gets better, its started in Birmingham now, the shop I used to work in has been done over apparently!

viksam · 08/08/2011 22:02

memphis you used to work in brum?? can u say where? I worked for years in brum, my DH is has been looking on the net for a few hours now, the pics are terrible, what the hell is going on. I have just had to phone my parents who are in their 70's to suggest that my dad goes and puts the car in the garage because my DH read that it had spread to their area. Really not good at all.

kkfairybrains · 08/08/2011 22:09

Oh god hope your dh gets home safe and sound woodlands.
Must say I was glad to see that about needle I was getting quite worried.
It's so bloody quiet on here where is everyone?! Mlic I don't like it when you're quiet hope everything is ok.
E had a 3 and a half hour nap today. Don't know what's up with her that she's so tired. She's started copying loads more words too! Today we had juice, hot and sexy! She also does this really cute thing the last few weeks she cuddles her teddy and says ahhhh teddy!

kkfairybrains · 08/08/2011 22:10

Oh crap vik that's really frightening. I'm completely lost as to what's going on really but it's just terrible.

memphis83 · 08/08/2011 22:16

viksam I dont care if anyone found me on here, its doubtful anyone I know in rl would come on here GrinI worked at JD Sports, think its been hit, my friend said a lot of the bullring has been hit and now its spreading further out the city, I have a hell of a lot of family in brum, will no doubt hear from my dad if all isnt well, DH is at a stag do in Leeds at the weekend and it was reported to have hit their, but then it was reported it was 'just' a shooting and unrelated, still doesnt make me feel better!
kk if we show L pics of the baby he saus bayyybeee, and if he sees her he touches her face and whispers aaahhh baybeee, he also said love then babbled after!
cant believe how quiet it is here today!

CakeandRoses · 08/08/2011 22:32

Golly, it IS quiet.

Hope memph and woodlands that you get your men home asap.

thank you dh and memph I used some stuff called Colour B4 which was recommended on here. it is amazing stuff, well worth remembering if you ever dislike a colour. the great thing is, somehow it's taken my hair almost back to before the first dye.

kk it's a colour remover which shrinks the colour molecules so you can wash them out (you rinse for about 15mins in total Shock) and then a buffer to restore the ph.

v cute re E's talking. no new words for A for a while.

dh sounds horrid re the girls at your group. why do people behave like that? Confused

woodlands i always think the babies on here are more advanced than average too. A's always been Little Ms Average in every way but she sometimes seems a bit slow compared to the others on here!

lady A's 5th tooth has finally broken thru. more on the way tho Sad. oh and she's been doing a bit more walking too.

I see on facebook theres a group set up for a riot in leiscter(sp) on friday memphis. It's crazy what's happening.
E is the same with babies she rubs their face and say aw baby! So bloody cute all thr words! And that new jls song she sings the start of it in perfect rythym too! The words aren't very hard it's just oh oh oh oh oh oh but it's still funny!

kkfairybrains · 08/08/2011 22:41

What's that stuff cake i've never heard of it! poor little A with the teeth. Wish E would break some more through as she's been teething for ages now

memphis83 · 08/08/2011 22:42

cakes I dont know what my natural colour is, I have been a rainbow of colours since the age of 13 including jet black, blue, red and purple! sometimes wish I never touch it but then get bored!
dh went to dads and tots on saturday and he was shocked that none of the babies even ones that were a few months older that L were not walking as he presumed by me talking about the babies on here all babies wer walking by now, I hope we have another it doesnt walk til late, would be so much easier! Grin he thought all babies of 13 months climb on sofa a swing off it again!
L hasnt stirred all night so hopefully that tooth coming through has eased his pain for a while, it was strange you couldnt see it had broke through this morning but could feel it had then by bedtime you could see the white of the tooth, my 6 wo niece has been crying ALL weekend non stop they took her doctors and were told she is teething Shock and now she has had calpol and teething gel she has settled, seems she has taken my family gene of early teethers, and L has taken after his dad!

WhatSheSaid · 08/08/2011 22:44

The news channels over here are just full of continuous streaming of footage of riots Sad.

No news from here, A is at pre-school and G and I are about to go to the toy library to get some new stuff. As I put on Fb we have daffodils coming out in our garden so it's starting to feel like spring here Smile.

Just trying to decide how long to fix our mortgage for, it's so bloody difficult to predict anything at the moment!

memphis83 · 08/08/2011 22:45

kk we are both away friday and as a precaution im taking our documents to my sisters forsafe keeping just in case, we are an easy target as we are on a main road but set back where police wouldnt venture, and the bikes are going into a bike compound, shit it is scary! nothing on my fb about it though but I expected it any sign of trouble and it kicks off here

MalibuStac · 09/08/2011 00:25

These riots are frightening, hope everyone who has family in the areas are all safe.

woods is dh home?

MelissaM · 09/08/2011 03:27

just seen posted earlier but hadn't finished it oops Blush

Hope everyone is ok in the areas affected by the madness! And your families/friends :( My family are in Leeds / Bradford area so hope it hasn't spread there

L loves camping. The sleeping is not so great as E doesn't want to sleep so it ends up him being awake late too, and the sun wakes everyone up early but the children normally catch up on their sleep I'm the car on the way home.

Dh spa sounds lively Envy

Vik hope scan went ok

Memph hope you're ok while dh is away

Mlic hope you're ok too

cake glad u manage to get your hair.sorted Grin

DesperateHousewife21 · 09/08/2011 08:02

DH is going to London today, Westminster I think. Not too sure where that is or if its anywhere near the riots but I dont think they'd send him if it wasnt safe. My dad works in Camden too.

cake I dont know, Im meeting one of them this morning along with another friend we've both known for a while so we'll see how that goes.

I cant wait for the spa, Im getting waxed tomorrow finally, could have been an embarrasing situation in a bikini otherwise!

Thankfully my DH decided to stay the night round at his friend's house. He said it was only for my sake so that I could get an early night, that it was ridiculous really, but I'm glad he did! J slept through the night for the first time in almost a week so that was good.

I am meant to be working right now - this is the first time I've gone on MN while working since starting back - must get motivated!

Woodlands · 09/08/2011 11:14

I need to go to the bank this afternoon but I know it got a bit smashed up on Sunday night - I've seen pictures of the door smashed in - so not sure if it will be open. Hmm.

Woodlands · 09/08/2011 14:04

Two accident forms at nursery on Friday, one yesterday and three today... poor J! The worst is a graze on his forehead from where he was being cuddled by two little girls and he was trying to crawl away from them and tripped on his trousers...

CakeandRoses · 09/08/2011 17:04

woodlands poor J Shock don't want to be alarmist or worry you unnecessarily but just wanted to give you a comparison - i think F's only had one (maybe 2 max) accident/accident form in 18 months of nursery and he's super-clumsy.

are they doing forms for any minor falls even if no injury arises or is he having that many injuries?

how was the bank?

i was supposed to be working today but A got sent home with a temperature. she seems quite happy now and has slept for 2.5 hours this afternoon which meant i could work.

then i had the lovely experience of giving feedback on some web designs on a conference call whilst she was threatening the cat with her maracas.

hopefully she'll go down ok later as i'm doing solo bedtime and then planning to go out with a friend for a meal when dh gets back.

chul you ok?

I think they do it for any bump which requires 'treatment' - so for example most of those bumps have required a cold compress. Probably they're way OTT with the accident forms. Apparently he doesn't even cry at most of these - so I probably wouldn't have even noticed (bad mum emoticon)! Ah well, it doesn't do any harm to hear about them. I had to sign one for myself after the drinking milton episode.

Bank was shut 'until further notice', as were all the other banks on the high st, as was the shopping centre and most of the shops. Hardly any market stalls out either. BHS was all boarded up. weird.
