So Lucy has a 'viral' infection. She has a spotty rash on her belly, back, legs and face. Dr said it is basically like a cold but coming out through her skin?
She fels better and isn't as cranky so hopefully over the worst of it.

Beadit Lucy is either in our bed with our quilt or in her cot with a cot quilt. Underneath she has a baby-gro, just started leaving vests on as it is quite parky in our room and I never leave the heating on after 10.30pm. And we have a stupid radiator cover in our room so it never feels warm in there. I might try her in the 2.5tog gro-bags I have left from dd2 so then she will have a long sleeve vest and babygro on

newmum001 · 18/10/2011 17:41

Beadit grace is in a babygrow and a 2.5 tog sleeping bag.

newmum001 · 18/10/2011 17:41

Beadit grace is in a babygrow and a 2.5 tog sleeping bag.

Dixiebell · 18/10/2011 18:49

beadit, Arlo is in long sleeve vest, babygro and 2.5tog sleep bag. Short sleeve vest until last few nights!

cinnamon, yes Arlo is much more settled now. Had his first full day there today. Still cried at dropoff and pickup but seemed happy throughout the day apparently. So I'm happy! I'm going back 3 days a week, two of which are working from home, so it should be good. I think I'll really appreciate the other two days I get on my own with him too.

lumpylumps · 18/10/2011 20:02

Cinnamon was definately another chicken pox spot. Its scabbed over in the same way & since it has he's totally picked up. He's eating like a horse & back to his happy little self!

Beady Olly just has a babygrow until we go to bed then I put him in his sleeping bag. I figure if he's cold he'll wake up. I'd rather do that than overheat him!

Comixminx Glad things went well for your mum.

cinnamongreyhound · 18/10/2011 20:50

Glad Lucy and Olly are feeling better!

That sounds ideal Dixiebell especially being able to illiminate the commute on 2 out of the 3 days!

Luke is still in his summer 0.5tog grobag and a sleepsuit beaditAli. His room is the warmest in the house but the heating goes off at 11 and on again at 5.30 so must get chillyish in there at the moment, might have to change it in the next couple of days.

Ds1 has his assembly tomorrow and his first parents evening! Will try to take a sneaky photo to post. Have had a hectic two days with dh visiting dss's potential new school and having to drive to cambridge straight after work to pick his bike up but back to our usual kids in bed and sit down in front the tele tomorrow I think Wink

MammyG · 18/10/2011 21:44

Hellew everyone!! Havent been able to post as I couldnt log in!! Driving me nuts but figured out what was going on and now am back!!! Bet you all missed me..[hgrin]
All ok here. Brother finished his cyle so DH back now as well it was a lovely weekend and we were all so proud of Donal and all who helped. Had a rare night out too. My sister babysat and stayed over so for the first time in 5 years we didnt even have to get up the following morning to deal with the kids!! Cooool!!
DS1 had booster shots last friday and ran a temp that night, Phoebe had hers today (due another in a few weeks) and is not right this eve so all calpol'd up (new verb!) and will hopefully settle!
Beadit Phoebs has a fleecy sleepsuit and a sleeping bag. Its cold here at the moment and she is snuggly and happy! I do check her again before I head to bed.
Hope everyone is well - Sassy thinking of you missus hope you are doing well!

sassy34264 · 18/10/2011 22:44

comix glad to hear your mum' s treatment has gone well. x

mine have a vest, sleepsuit and 1 blanket at the moment but im going to get them a couple of zip up fleecy all in ones soon. was thinking about the sleeping bags, but im worried that cos they cant move their feet freely they may trip and bang their faces in the bars. does this not happen then?

mammyg yes ive missed you. x your the person who always posts even later than me! im ok. very fed up but starting to get a little excited about the new baby. seems surreal that i will have a newborn in less than 72 hours! but you can come before baby........do you hear me in there!

good news- dp has agreed to Isaac! hooray
bad news- we cant agree on a girl's name. boo

Smile
sassy34264 · 18/10/2011 22:48

sorry about lucy debs chloe got very ill on sat with a viral infection too. no rash but burning up and not eating. she went back to school today though. hope she is well soon. x

beaditAli · 19/10/2011 12:27

sassy i gave up with sleeping bags for that reason! Jack couldn't find his feet properly when standing in the cot so has had many a tumble. He did grow out of one so I cut along the zip at the bottom (rather than the fabric) so it could still be fastened up but with a hole at the bottom and as it's too short on him it's ideal cos he can't stand on the bottom of it! Hope that makes sense [hhmm]
We did have to use a sleeping bag last night tho after he woke sqeauling th street down for about 30 mins before I realized he was wet [hblush] Only got one fleece so must invest in another. Let me know if you find a nice boy's one!

Ohhhhh..... poorly babies [hsad] they are so in sync! Sppppppooooooooooky! [hgrin] [hgrin]

Lots of xxxxxxxx for the next few days! X

I've never had that problem sassy34264, ds1 was in his until 2 1/2 by then he could unzip it and get out when he wanted to get up! Luke walks in his until the material runs out iyswim. Look forward to hearing your happy news.

I had a dream about all of you last night! We visited Patito and she had the most gorgeous sprawling house with loads of land and an orchard and I kept getting lost! Was so lovely all the kids running around and have some amazing things to eat and lots of music while all getting to know each other really well and all in the lovely sunshine!

Luke has started to crawl! He only bum shuffled before he walked and now he's started pushing cars around he crawls while doing it, it's very cute. He has got another molar now too. He is saying 'that' as well as 'there' and 'cat' but still no mummy :(. I'm getting a bit worried he's so aware of my breasts now though, he looks at me, points and says 'that' when he wants milk. Ds1 was never really aware of where his milk was and not that bothered. Always assumed I'd be able to stop like I did with ds1 but now thinking it might be more difficult.

patito · 19/10/2011 14:21

Oh I wish I had a house like that! You´re all very welcome to come and stay it´d be a 3 bedroom flat and rain though so not quite like the dream Smile.

Cant complain about the weather though as today is the first Autumn day with rain, on Monday it was a freaky 33º [scorchio smiley]. We went for a bike ride in the afternoon, it was Maia´s 2nd on the back of my bike. She looks so cute with her helmet on.

Will be back in UK on Sunday, Im so excited that Im going to pack tonight!!!!! I haven´t been since Feb and its feels toooooooooooo long. Im looking forward to fish and chips/a curry/a proper cuppa with choc digestives/decent telly (and seeing my family of course Grin)

All fingers & toes crossed for you sassy.

comixminx · 19/10/2011 21:18

Patito, Aphra has been on the back of my bike a couple of times ow - she hated it the first few times but was quite happy last time I took her on it, which I was very pleased by. If I took her to nursery I'd be using the baby bike seat a lot more often but as it is I'm glad I have it as an option. Maia is getting on with it well then, I guess?

Blimey sassy, can't believe it's so nearly time! How exciting. And fingers crossed indeed!

cinnamon, Aphra is also showing clear signs of knowing where her milk comes from. She tugs at my top and peers down my cleavage, hmm. I also can't quite see how easily she's likely to stop... She has a morning feed and an evening one, plus an after-work one on nursery days; but on weekends and Mondays she has more than that. Oh well.

comixminx · 19/10/2011 21:20

PS also Aphra is in a 1.0 tog grobag and a sleepsuit, with a blanket over her. The temp in her room is about 18 degrees at the moment. I like to have her reasonably warm and snuggly overall. I haven't found that sleepsuits cause any big problems with her falling over in the cot to be honest.

cinnamongreyhound · 19/10/2011 22:00

Luke only has a feed first thing and last thing comixminx so not too
bad really I suppose.

How's things newmum001?

Hope baby appears tomorrow for you sassy34264 :)

beaditAli · 20/10/2011 11:32

comix it's sleeping bags not sleepsuits that Jack tangles in. Probably because they're far too long for him and when he stands up in the cot he treads on it about 3-4" up from the bottom so can't move his feet anywhere when he needs to take a step. No prob tho as we're loving the fleecy all in ones..... especially for morning cuddles in our bed then he potters around our room before I get him changed. Must be really cold in Yorkshire...... was 14 degrees in there at 2am [brrrrrrrrrrrrr]
Shall we take guesses on the sex of sassy's baby? No idea why but I think BOY [hgrin]
Jack has been up in the night every night since his jabs but he's full of cold and really thirsty so water does the trick. Just wish I could nod off again as fast as he does!

comixminx · 20/10/2011 18:41

Sorry beaditali, I meant sleeping bags!

MammyG · 20/10/2011 21:40

I have always used the sleeping bags. I have one with pop buttons on the shoulders and they are able to make their way out of it fairly young. That said the falling over thing has never been an issue - they are such amazingly adept little creatureS! The past few nights Phoebe has even had a fleecey sleepsuit or pjs on aswell as her sleeping bag - the nights are chilly here. Not complaining tho cause we have had lovely clear fresh autumn weather. Apparently the rain is back here next week - ugh!!
Sassy Cannot believe it is that time already!!! I have been having broody spells - that have quickly evaporated once the boys start acting up! My house is bonkers these days. I need more energy for home than I do school!
Phoebe now has sniffles - bloody jabs!! What a pain in the ass! Still she can be so cheery about it all and, if Im honest, I kinda like the excuse to stay up lying down with her!! (bad Mammy!!)

Debs75 · 21/10/2011 15:16

Sassy have you had baby yet or is it tomorrow you go in? If you don't reply with a 'here is baby no 4' for a while then will assume you are at hospital already. Hope it goes ok for you

beaditAli · 21/10/2011 15:55

debs sassy was having contractions on Wednesday afternoon and wasn't allowed to stay at home due to previous c-secs so she could have had a vbac like he wanted. or she could have had c-sec and therefore probably in for 3 nights so not posted her news. So, so excited for her and also broody cos of her! [grrrrrrr] [hgrin]

OP posts:
cinnamongreyhound · 21/10/2011 16:15

Now's as good a time as any beaditAli!!!

Hope she managed to get her vbac, will make life with the twins easier I imagine. Thinking of her either way x

beaditAli · 21/10/2011 16:18

Hahahaha cinnamon not precisely tonight tho! Wink I have sinusitus and DH has a cold... as does Jack so if DH comes anywhere near me tonight I'll actually cry! Grin

cinnamongreyhound · 21/10/2011 16:29

I'm not sure if I posted before but Luke has started nodding but it comes from his knees, very funny!!

lumpylumps · 21/10/2011 19:46
