Anyone using cow and gate growing up milk? I got a tub from Tesco Mum's choice panel to try but I'm not using any growing up milk so anyone who is I can post it to you if you pm me your address (my mum puts postage through her company so would be free to send too).

beaditAli · 11/10/2011 18:10

Why do people call their animals 'human' names??? I really like Esme but it's Sil's cat. On our street there's a cat called Jack, one called Lily, two Tillys and dogs called Ella, Alfie, Freddie, Norman-Enid-and-Boris not including them Grin Grin

I'm starting to think it might be teeth. He's very hit & miss with eating, refused to eat all day then ate a horse for tea (well not literally!), guzzled milk all day then refused it at bedtime. He's been clingy and whiney all day & had a massive sleep, horrible nappy & bad breath.

cinnamongreyhound · 11/10/2011 21:28

Already have and I do beaditAli! I have 2 animals with people names neither of whom I named, my friend laughs every time she meets a Wendy as she always thinks of my cat!

No takers for my milk then?

cinnamongreyhound · 11/10/2011 21:30

Sorry lumpylumps no suggestions really but isn't bad breath also a symptom of tonsilitis? Don't know about vomitting but it could be a reason for not eating, high temp and grumpiness.

beaditAli · 11/10/2011 21:43

Grin Wendy the cat! Love it. We did have a Mickey (not given by us) and I probably would name my dog Doug or something which is a people name! I wonder if anyone has used 'Catherine' or 'Matthew' etc........ hahahaha I might start a thread in 'chat' for this....... could be really funny! Grin
Oooooh..... can you tell it's been a long day? Having read this back I must be going slightly mad Smile
Hope Olly is ok Lumps Jack always has awful breath and really acid (more amonia) smelling nappies when he's teething tho had it for a good while so am preparing myself. Anyone notice any small changes after jabs like sleepier??

cinnamon i was induced with chloe at 40+13. but was in full labour within 4hours, although didnt progress past 9cm after 14 hours- hence the emergency c sec.

mammyg no cant move it to the fri. i only really go cos of my diabetic status and the clinic is on on wed. i have to have a scan, see the midwife, then my consultant and the the diabetic nurse and the diabetic consultant. its a 2 hour job sometimes. plus mum has to take the day off work to take me and watch twins, so not easily moved about.

sorry cinnamon i dont give mine follow on.

hope olly is better soon banana

beaditali i had a cat once. we decided to call it kat Hmm

Debs75 · 12/10/2011 14:51

Beadit we have a Mica(dog) and a Selina(cat) If the dog had been am puppy when we got her she would of been Blue, Fred or Bertie. She is a bassett hound and the kids love blues clues. The cat is named after Selina Kyle from Batman.
Lucy is being a bit strange since her jabs. She has what seems like a cold but without the cough, sneeze and snot. High temps, whinging, feeding and sleeping a lot. The last 2 days it has been like having a newborn again. She is tired after a couple of hours awake. She permanently wants bm and cries when I put her down. I've checked her for rashes but only found a prickly heat type one and her temps are really high, she does get clammy quickly. She has been in with me the last 2 nights as she is so hard to settle and I have a cold so feel rubbish most of the time.

Sassy I remember the rigamarol of Diabetes clinic, it will soon be over and you will have another lovely newbie to snuggle

patito · 12/10/2011 17:26

Hi

I had a dog and she was called Gina when I got her, hated the name so ended up calling her G Hmm.

Beatit Ill like your page if you like mine Wink cookarlo,

Thats an open invitationto all!! Grin (And I would look so much more popular by having more freinds on my blog as well Blush)

patito · 12/10/2011 17:28

I meant friends.

my blog about the kids

patito · 12/10/2011 18:19

Beadit Not only liked you but shared you ;) Hope mostly that DP sees it and takes the hint, mind you hints never work Angry might have to save my own pennies.

lumpylumps · 12/10/2011 19:11

My friends cat is called Hilary! she did it so her husband feels like a fool when he has to call her in! I had a Molly cat!

Beady I will definately "Like" you after what i recieved in the post today. Its beautiful! Thankyou!

Cinnamon I don't use follow on but my friend does so if you have no takers I can give it to her.

Debs that sounds like Olly (except for the bm!) I can't put him down without him crying and when I do & he will only calm down if I stay near him. If I so much as turn away he screams! Not Jab related tho, his were over a month ago!

beaditAli · 12/10/2011 21:42

Awwwww... so pleased lumps was worried you might not like it Blush the 'handmade' tag on the end is the only non silver bit but I liked it!

I had a fish called 'Twix' don't suppose anyone's used that on their DC! Grin

I started a 'chat' about all things fluffly with said such names but absolutely nobody replied........ so just me then Blush Blush Still tryhing to think of a name for the sausage dog that will be mine on the cover of Ideal Homes magazine this month! I think 'Banger' Grin I doooooooooooo sooooooooooo want the living room it's lounging in too!
Ok....... enough of my sadness!

Wink x

Actually I also have a Molly cat lumpylumps, and I did name her- looks like I'm guilty too beaditAli!

Doesn't sound like much fun Debs75! Luke is quite clingy when we are at home, follows me from room to room but when we're out he doesn't even look back! He hasn't been well the last few days it is in the 10-14 day window for his jabs but I think it's just a cold and a bit of high temp. He woke up crying after an hour of his nap today. I tried everything and ended up feeding him for the first time in the day for ages which stopped him but he didn't let go for 45mins. He then smiled at me, slid off my lap and went to play, who understands kids?!? Found him sucking on a snail today, have to say it made me feel very ill! I think he thought it was a stone as he always has something in his mouth but still pretty gross Confused

beaditAli · 12/10/2011 22:07

oh not guilty in a bad way! Hope nobody thnks I'm having a proper moan.... more a sarcy Ali laugh...... I love all fluffies what ever they're called but when there's a cat next door called Jack it does make me giggle!
DH really fancied Archie as a name before we decided not to let popularity put us off Jack..... then every day we were walking Mickey (r.i.p) we must have met 3 poochies called 'Archie' Grin
Very inspiring blog patitio
Jack asleep an hour earlier tonight and DH is up at 4am tmrw to get to London town so should go and find my duvet! xxx

cinnamongreyhound · 12/10/2011 22:12

I am guilty in a tongue in cheek way don't worry. I think of Molly as more of an animal than people name but I don't know a Molly so maybe why! I know a horrible little boy called Archie beaditAli but no dogs! Jack was our first choice for ds1, it wasn't popularity that put us off but dh's nephew, can't exactly give in-laws 2 grandsons called Jack! Night night :)

Dixiebell · 13/10/2011 07:26

In the past we have had dogs called Charlie and Bob, and cats called Suki, Molly, Lily and Gordon!

sassy34264 · 13/10/2011 12:47

hi. had appointment yesterday. baby is estimated at 8lbs 8oz. consultant said that although she will support my decision to have baby vbac, she did think i was pushing it at this late stage and its size in terms of rupturing my scars. decided to book a c section for the 21st oct. but if i go into labour in the meantime, i will see how it goes.

38+1

beaditAli · 13/10/2011 17:06

Anyone's LO a size 4.5 F? Have some lovely Clarks shoes going spare that don't fit Jack anymore as he's now 5 F.
I got them on Ebay but have hardly been worn and are scrummy.

lumpylumps · 13/10/2011 19:37

Seriously beady jacks feet are nearly the same size as Tobys!!!!! His are a 6.5 E!!!

sassy thats very exciting! Hope it goes how you want but either way, not long to go!

cinnamongreyhound · 13/10/2011 21:59

Luke is a 4.5G, both my boys have big feet- ds1 is a 12 at 4 1/2!

What are you pushing it with sassy34264? if you do overdue? So 21st makes you 39+2 is that right? Hope you get what you want which ever way it goes.

Luke is 13 months today, another month passed by in a flash :(

cinnamongreyhound · 13/10/2011 21:59

Go overdue not do overdue, whoops!!

sassy34264 · 13/10/2011 22:43

cinnamon she means im pushing it with my chance of rupturing the scar tissue cos the baby is getting bigger and bigger. yes i will be 39+2 on c sec date, so only 5 days early.

beaditali jacob is only in a 4 at the moment but he is a g in width. both me and chloe have wide feet, so he takes after us!

cinnamongreyhound · 14/10/2011 07:00

I've probably said before but I don't have much faith in their measurement of babies during pregnancy. They were convinced ds1 was a 10lber but was only 8lb 12 at 2 weeks overdue and a friend of mine had a planned cs as they predicted her baby was big and her first was an ecs due to her size and failed forcep delivery but at 39 weeks he was only 8lb 2. I don't know anything about the risks with scars sassy34264 but I guess you have to take advice from your consultant. Doesn't seem very supportive though, I'll support your decision for a vbac but you should book a cs before you due date? As long as your happy with your decision and you get a healthy baby that's all that matters. How was the job fair?
