Glad it all went well JodeyBogeyicker! If you copy the link at the bottom of the album that says share with someone even if they're not on fb then you can paste it here in

Glad you had a lovely time too Mapletrees, you were in my dream last night! We went on a course together somewhere in the university! Not somewhere I recognised but some kind of lecture theatre that I was aware was in the university was very frustrating as I obviously wanted to be elsewhere but couldn't get away.

Had a couple of stupidly irrational days, feeling fed up with my lot and feeling that I am last to everyone :(. We took dss back to his mum saturday morning which was a bit stressful due to ds1's speech therapist being here too long and dh blaming me because 'dss is not my responsiblity so I don't care if we're late', which I felt was really unfair and I was fairly blunt in trying to get rid of her! We then had a lovely day and yesterday was spent almost entirely playing with my boys Grin and I felt much better by bedtime yesterday. I was struck by a moment of realy nausea at the thought of my baby in a huge playground without his mummy when I went to bed last night though :(

Looking forward to Luke's birthday now, my baby is so big now. Walking everywhere doesn't help with the :( of him growing up too quick though, he's so capable now!

beaditAli · 05/09/2011 17:33

Happy belated birthday *Arlo and Aphra!

I got Jack's feet measured today and he's 4.5 E......... Clarks only do cruising shoes in Es for girls!!!!! Shock how is that fair?? They told me it would be really bad to put him in 'walkers' until he's walking but how do they know he won't walk tomorrow or the day after? I don't really get it. Confused
Anyone else have a boy with Es???? heeheeeheeehee

Your boys are ace lumps glad the wedding was fun

Nope mine are wide beaditAli, ds1 was H and Luke is 4.5G. I would have thought he'd be ok in an F didn't they even try one on him? Luke really struggled when he first started walking in his walkers even when he was walking well bare foot. Their feet change sizes so fast he'll probably outgrow a pair of cruisers before he's walking well! I used to go back every 6-8 weeks with ds1 and his feet were always bigger! He's now a 12 at 4 and a bit!

beaditAli · 05/09/2011 19:15

Wow...... that is fast. I figured they'd grow but I spose as Jack's my first I have noooooooooooo idea. cinnamon the Fs literally hung off him and we tried the 4.5 Es in walkers and they were the same so he's got a pair of Clarkes' Doodles that make him look like the kid that wears plimsoles to school instead of cool trainers Wink
I bought myself some shoes too and the only shop in our shopping centre to sell a size 9 is Debenhams so I had to get granny shoes Sad saw an amazing pair in Oasis but my toes are waaaaaaaaaaaaay too long for nice shoes Sad Sad what a sulker! Blush

Hi all, grace's christening went really well! She was an absolute angel through the service and kept saying hiya to the priest when he was trying to bless her, it was very funny! She was hapilly passed around everyone at her party and ate loads of buffet and cake! She didn't have a sleep in the afternoon and had a really bad night last night, probably over excitement and over tiredness but she slept in till 7.45 this morning! I was so proud of her!

Lumpy you're boys sound so well behaved! I am very envious that olly slept at the wedding tho! Grace won't even go to sleep at home if anyone is visiting so I've got no chance of getting her to have a nap when we're out!

Beadit I'm going to get grace's feet measured this week, they're bloody massive so we might struggle for cruising shoes too!

lumpylumps · 05/09/2011 19:22

Beady Toby & Olly are both an E. They tend to drop him a size and up the width so instead of a 4.5 E, try a 4F. I haven't bothered with shoes yet. Got him measured last week and he's a 2.5 E. I'm a mean mummy & just let him go bare foot still! I'm waiting for him to grow into Tobys 1st pair. they were a 3!

beaditAli · 05/09/2011 19:44

Good plan Lumps tho I only really went along for shoes because my mum really wants to buy him his first pair for his birthday Smile I think it's so lovely that everyone seems so thoughtful and excited about 1st birthday presents.
I've decided to hand make everything Jack is getting from his Mummy and Daddy....... if they work out I'll pop piccies on fb

Ooh. beady that sounds exciting. You're so creative, I'm rubbish at things like that!

friggFRIGG · 05/09/2011 21:28

awh,Arlo had his feet measured too,he's a 4G though TBH he still mostly wear's his soft leather shoo shoo's,they're more comfy for him,and im mainly in to much of a rush to do up all the velcro and faff about with the clarks pairBlush

DD is starting nursery on wednesday,im so Sad my babies are growing up too fast!!

beaditAli · 05/09/2011 22:36

Hahaha... lumps I did get way too ambitious last week and nearly bought a pattern from ebay for making your own vintage style wigwam play tent! Shock I don't think so!!!!!! I am a demon at blanket stitch now tho! Wink

Hi Frigg stay on here! We are more fun than the pushchair threadareenios! Wink Grin

Comix ? gorgeous photo! Phoebe has started sticking her tongue out to the side too and cracks up when I do the same!
Cinnamon ? thank you!
Jodey & newmum ? glad to hear you both had lovely days out especially after all the work gone into preparations!
Happy belated Birthday to the lovely boys Arlo and Louis
Beadit lovely idea! I wouldnt do it cause poor Phoebs would be 3 by the time I would have anything to wrap!
Im afraid poor Phoebes birthday will be low key! My cousin is having her hen party the same weekend so all family mommies are off to that so no cousins and I dont have many friends with small babies. Even my own family are not so enthusiastic but then again I guess thats the joy of being number 3. We will just have to fawn over her as usual!!

I dont know if any of you remember but I have mentioned that September two years ago my best friends baby girl was stillborn. That was sept 3 2009, well on saturday morning (sept 3!) I met her and she told me that she had quite literally just done a test and she is pregnant!!!! Its such wonderful news! Obviously there is a lot of emotion around it and its so poignant but Im so proud of her for her sheer bravery and we are all so excited! She is only 5 weeks pregnant so no one around here knows yet but I had to share!

cinnamongreyhound · 05/09/2011 22:51

Wow that is impressive beaditAli!!

I think with the shoe thing, I am so excited to have a baby who can walk as ds1 was sooooo late! But he does want to walk everywhere and I do let him out of the pushchair to walk so wouldn't want him doing that barefoot. If we go out and I know that he will have no chance to walk then I don't bother with any shoes though. I am really amazed at how fast he is improving his walking and he climbed 3 stairs today Shock

cinnamongreyhound · 05/09/2011 23:04

x-posts MammyG, that's lovely news for your friend must be absolutely heartbreaking!

Luke's birthday will be pretty small too just my family (dh's sister is busy and his parents won't travel to us) and my best friend/next door neighbour and kids but I'm excited!

beaditAli · 06/09/2011 07:50

cinnamon Jack isn't walking yet but he insists on being put down to either stand or just sort of rummage around so the doodles are good for stopping nasties stab him in the tootsies I guess. They look so 70s tho! here tho they do have space ships on which is very apt for Jack and his head wear.
MammyG brill news for your friend.... fingers crossed for her.
Our party will be low key too. Just about 12 of us I think.

Oh I wanted to ask....... when do los generally start having nightmares that wake them in the night?? Jack was up at midnight and it just seemed like he was really frightened about something..... also...... how long before they sneak into our beds? A long time yet I know given that he'd have to abseil to get to me Grin

OP posts:
cinnamongreyhound · 06/09/2011 08:36

Link just goes to Clarks website no specific shoes beaditAli but I love the Velcro doodles, not so keen on the clip ones as yet are a pain to do up! I would say it depends if they're nightmares or night terrors. My friends dd1 had horrible night terrors from about 9 months and shes the only one I've known. Ds1 didn't really start being frightened of anything until 2 1/2-3 so nothing to have nightmares about! And he never climbed in our bed, he'd shout from his when he wanted me but never got up on his own. Now they come up in the morning to 'get Daddy' but not for a cuddle. He went in a bed at 2 and 5 months so could have from then I guess, don't think I'll be so luck this time, I'm going to be the mum putting her child into bed 100 times to get them to stay there if current behaviour is anything to go by!!

newmum001 · 06/09/2011 08:58

I'm sure grace has nightmares or gets spooked by something as sometimes she wakes up really upset but I suppose it could be anything. She was asleep in the car yesterday and gasped really loud and woke up so I'm sure she was dreaming about something!

Grace has now got 12 teeth! At this rate she'll have a full set in a couple of months!

lumpylumps · 06/09/2011 09:12

Beady Tobys just started coming into our bed. I'm obviously getting used to it cos I woke up this morning at 2am & he was snuggled up to me. I even had my arm under him but have no recolection of him climbing in Shock
We were laughing the other night cos Olly woke up & we both laid there cos we didn't know what to do! He hasn't woke in the night since he stopped feeding! I just didn't know what I was going to do with him!!!
I thought Doodles were wider than the normal shoes! Whenever Toby has tried them on, they've been huge!

MammyG Fingers crossed for your friend. Why was her last baby still born? is it likely to happen again?

Newmum Ollys still only got 4!!!!!

Tobys just informed me he wants mouldy carrots for dinner!

newmum001 · 06/09/2011 09:24

Lumpy when grace started waking up again I was exactly the same, I was totally baffled as to what I was supposed to do with her! She slept through from being 8 weeks old until she was 9 months when she started waking again! I just remember lying there thinking if she's not having a bottle what the hell so I do with her!

Mammy that's great news for your friend, I hope she manages to relax and enjoy her pregnancy and that everything goes well for her! It must be a very worrying time!

Debs75 · 06/09/2011 09:27

No shoes for Lucy yet, she is only a size 2 or 3. She doesn't walk yet but stands a lot so I'm letting her get used to it au naturel. The other dc's got them when they could walk and they would be walking outside so Lucy will probably get some next spring.

Lucy managed a whole night in cot on Sunday, 10pm - 6am. it was bliss having the bed to myself for the first time in 3 years. Not so good last night but she is consistently starting the night in her cot so we are getting somewhere at last

JodeyBogeyPicker · 06/09/2011 09:49

Morning all.

Harlyn had his first pair of cruisers at the weekend because ge just lives being outdoors pushing his trolley around. No first steps yet though but getting close. He had to have size 5G because he has a high in-step. He doesn't mind wearing them at all, looks very grown up.

Thanks for the tip cinamon, will try the link later when I've had chance to upload the photos.

MammyG that's lovely news about tour friend. So emotional.

As for birthdays, ours is low key too, just close family and friends (about 20 of us) at the house with a few nibbles and cake. Well done beadit for making his gifts. I'm going to make Harlyns card but the rest will be bought.

Yesterday ar nursery, he didn't sleep at all! I'm a little snood that they didn't give him his dummy, they apparently didn't know he had one! It was in his bag and it's written in his notes and on an extra sheet if paper with his things! Not sure whether it's a settling in thing or if he just doesn't like sleeping with the other babies.

It DH birthday today but he's off to London to work though we gad a lovely, cuddly family morning.

beaditAli · 06/09/2011 11:30

The link took me to the Doodles so Confused but heyho..... I think they are usually for wider feet but they do an E fit which is for narrow feet. They are definitely helping him toddle about flat footed rather than on his toes and he seems to really like them Grin
I was asking about beds as I'm really considering moving our bedroom to the loft, letting Jack have our massive room and me have the nursery as my work space... problem is we have 3 flights of stairs in this house and we'd have to do stairs during the night to get to Jack's room whereas at the mo we don't....... got my 3 year itch and we're not moving house so I need to change something!

cinnamongreyhound · 06/09/2011 13:21

Could be because I'm on my phone. We are on 3 floors beaditAli so there are stairs between us and the boys, ds1 was fine climbing stairs by the time he was in a bed so you should be fine to have a shift around Grin

cinnamongreyhound · 06/09/2011 17:08

Yep works on the computer! Very cute but very annoying to do up Wink
