chocoroo · 11/07/2011 15:26

Ah, but 40 I have now allowed myself to become trapped under a sleeping baby with the Dawson's Creek Boxset on.

byronicheroine · 11/07/2011 16:02

choco deserved! I heart Pacey - yum!!
And yes to the 'D' P doing sod all when alone. When I managed to get out til, ooh, 10.30 the other night he complained that he was so lonely and bored all evening. I was fuming, like - welcome to my life, and you weren't bored enough to do the washing up, were you?!
Anyway, I went to a mums meetup here in Ikea!! It's actually great as the older ones can play while we drink the free refillls. And it's all aircon with loads of parking so no trekking around sweating. Niiiice! It topped 40 deg today. Not bragging At All, in fact I can't wait for our uk hols in 3 weeks :o

40Weeks · 11/07/2011 16:14

Where in the uk are you visiting byron

Can barely keep eyes open today. Sooo tired

OP posts:
reastie · 11/07/2011 16:16

byron Grin at meeting in ikea - do you all come home with dime bars and eat hot dogs? Wink

40 I drove past Chelsfield earlier and gave you a wave in your confinement

Well, desperate measures and all that I got a little spend happy in mothercare and got an all singing all dancing cot mobile that has lights, music and battery operated (very slow) moving toy things. All in the hope it will keep alice quiet in her cot and maybe even help her go to sleep. Not holding out much hope and DH will prob roll his eyes when he sees my purchase but I'll try anything at this point. Oh, and I also got a pair of shoes reduced from £45 to £15, so not all bad Grin

tis really sweaty weather here today

ledkr · 11/07/2011 17:09

sweaty here too.vile. Went to baby group,Dilly was hysterically laughing at the older children singing.Shes a bit of a whingey old moo today tho.
She is sat next to me playing with a pkt of savory rice Hmm I stil have her in the oyster carrycot and she sleeps in it in the day too,i use the buggy if i know she will be awake, she loves it.

40Weeks · 11/07/2011 17:12

did you go to Nugent Shopping Park? If so you would have practically driven past my road!

Amber
here, hope the link works! They are jewelry for babies, but not in a look at me sense, actually they should be against the skin 'to work' so not seen. Have a read of the link, it explains better that I have energy to could. Mine will not arrive for 10 days as I ordered it from the uk! I need it though, my wisdom too kills! I think the paracetamol has stopped Z's hurting a bit!?! Not that it's helping me :( whinge whine.

restie hope Alice likes her mobile! Well worth the money in my opinion.

Choco my OH is just the same, drives me mad!

Happy birthday again, Hubbard how are you?

No idea who asked, but Z has been in our travel Zapp xtra as the shop still has ours. He is usually flat in it, but sat it up a little the other day while I ate, he loved it, I figure he is nearly sitting now and would 'hang' in a carrier, but have always liked babies to be flat for naps.

We are in the UK in 2.5 weeks too, I just cannot wait!

wigglesrock · 11/07/2011 18:22

Nice day here, took girls to the seaside, well to the playground and for a walk, not actually going into the sea [shudder]. Mr W is off today and tomorrow and has finally recovered from his brush with danger on Sat night it keeps getting more and more dangerous, every time he "relives" it, my patience is wearing a little thin. I do believe I may have hissed "well thats what you're paid for" at some point last night Blush, feel I may be winning worst partner award this week.

Anna is sitting up in her pram, she hated not being able to see the other two when we were out.

ledkr Annas favourite toy is a packet of baby wipes. Meant to say got A a door hanger/bouncer, she likes it, is it just me or are they a bugger to put them into? Could be me, I have been known to be a bit cack handed Grin

ledkr · 11/07/2011 18:53

oh wiggles,i did that yesterday, "sorry im late but rah rah rah-5 mins later drone drone drone" IWAS TRYING TO WATCH LAW AND ORDER UK FOR GODS SAKE. Grin
They are a nightmare to put them in yrs,ds2 and dh nearly dropped her when they tried,i put her in it on the sofa then clip on the pole and carry her to the door thing, complete hassle.Mind you last night i took her upstairs in the sling for bed and when i lifted her out i bumped her head on the low celing of my bedroom Shock she cried but stopped when she saw the bottle coming.
tarlia and chocco i have just collected a basket full of dh's crap from various points of the house,2 prs of shorts,a belt,2 satsumas in a carrier, his police epilates,3 pairs of shoes/trainers,3 towels, some socks, a camera bag no wonder my hosue is a mess, cant decide whether to burn them in the garden or chuck them in his side of the bed.Oh yes dilly has fallen asleep so bedtime will be later tonight dh wont be having the cushy evening he envisaged.

chocoroo · 11/07/2011 19:01

ledkr Does my DP live a double life at your house?! The problem with tidying up after him is that he then expects me to know where all his stuff is rather than keeping track of it himself.

I'm extra cross now as his train connection home has been cancelled, so I've had to drive into town to collect him. R screamed the whole way. I've been here 30 minutes and just got a text saying the train he's on has been delayed so won't get in til 7:10. And all that means that he won't have any time with R when we get home around 7:30 as he has to go to Footy at 7:40. I'm livid. I get to do all day, and now a chaotic bedtime as well!

Rant. Rant. Rant.

ledkr · 11/07/2011 19:53

BASTARD Grin

chocoroo · 11/07/2011 20:09

Exactly!

wigglesrock · 11/07/2011 20:16

chocoroo Hide his football boots, bastard may have been a politer way of saying what I was going to!!

ledkr I know how can I possibly MN and judge other peoples baby names/ crazy weddings/ relationships etc if I have to listen to his " and the gas from the tear gas made my ears water" Wah, wah, wah, whatever Grin

Oh and byronicheroine Pacey is mine, I liked him waaaaaay before anybody else Grin

ledkr · 11/07/2011 20:25

wiggles haha I remember when dh was assaulted on the night shift, the next morning he didnt mention it at first and i remember thinking "oh he looks ugly this morning" haha it was because his nose was broken Grin such sympathy.
chocco dh is always ages whne i pick him up,one day Dilly was screaming at the top of her lungs so i rang his office no and just held the phone to her wailing gob!He cam out straight away.

debka · 11/07/2011 20:36

Hey everyone, nice shiny new thread :)

Had lunch with the family at my mum's yesterday, she managed to get out of bed for it which was nice. She has a friend staying who's looking after her and cooked a roast dinner for 10, God bless her. Anyway, that's why I've not been on for a while. My mum's chemo has finished at last and we're both looking forward to when she's feeling better and can take Imy to playgroup and I think she's planning to take Sabine to Music and Movement.

I've just got this out of the loft- it was Imy's. but she never liked it, S however thinks it's AMAZING.

hubbard happy birthday Grin Sorry to hear about your cake :( , I would stick it all together with buttercream and then ice it, you'd never know. I made one of these today, except I made my own truffles plus about 10 extra for me to eat Grin

Interesting about those amber anklets, do let us know if they help at all.

ILovePonyo · 11/07/2011 20:39

Grin at all the annoying dh's/dp's, especially holding the phone to a screaming baby and ringing him, genius.

The other day I kicked dp's shoes out of the back door into the garden because they were blocking my way - he manages to take them off and take up as much room as possible with them. He came home and asked "why are my shoes outside?" all puzzled and I told him I'd kicked them there Grin

dd has been screaming most of the evening but is settled in bed now, was is deb who said babies are weird?! I agree, she's been crying then smiling then bawling the weirdo Hmm

reastie · 11/07/2011 21:00

deb we've got one just like that for alice (slightly different, but same type of thing) and she LOVES it too Grin

was it ledkr moaning about those door bouncers? yes, we've got one and it's just a pain to get her in and out - I do the same as you but always feel like I'll drop her as I get her clipped in on it. She really likes it when I make it a bit too short so she can't touch the floor and then gently swing her on it. not sure if you're suppose to use it as a swing though Hmm

oh yes deb I've made a choc box cake for dhs bday a couple of years ago Grin

40 yes it was the nugent. I wonder if I actually gave you a wave right next to your house then Hmm . That would be spooky.

hope these dhs get their bums in gear soon. Mine is asleep already giving me lots of time to mn

wigglesrock · 11/07/2011 21:11

reastie It was me who nearly bucked the door bouncer out of the window had difficulty using the bouncer, ledkr reassured me that it wasn't just my fat fingers Grin

ponyo see usually its my shoes lying about the living room, Mr W can be a bit weird overly tidy!!! Anna was a bit of a screamer this evening but went to bed as usual.

debka glad your Mums chemo has finished and you are both looking forward to getting out and about, her friend sounds fab!!

There's a thread in Pregnancy about amber braclets and anklets - how weird is that Grin

40Weeks · 11/07/2011 21:16

Ooh deb I used that cake website for inspiration for the Very Hungry Caterpillar cake for Owens bday, love the choc box one. Couldn't see the other link

OP posts:
chocoroo · 11/07/2011 21:16

wiggles I agree about the bouncer. R loves hers though, especially when I put the Bouncing Tigger in front of her and they bounce together.

ponyo I may put his football kit in the garden. But then on Wednesday it'll be "where's my kit....".

deb Sending you positive thoughts for your mum. It will be fab when she's strong enough to spend real time with the girls.

Well, had mini row with DP in 3 minutes before he went to footy. I need to get myself a hobby to get out and he agrees. But what!?

chocoroo · 11/07/2011 21:18

PS. Which of you recommended Luther? I am scaring myself witless watching it. Not even Idris is helping!

wigglesrock · 11/07/2011 21:27

chocoroo sorry Grin I watched the Killing and totally freaked myself out because the curtains in the victims bedroom are the same as the ones in our spare room - bloody Ikea Grin

ledkr · 11/07/2011 21:48

chocco?wiggles im scared of the face licker and when i was in traffic earlier i was keeping a look out for hammer wielding maniacs.
deb glad your Mums chemo is over,i remember when mine was over i was a bit Confused and like what shall i do now???Took me a while to build myself back up too,was it sucessfull or dont you know yet?
*ponyo Grin at "I kicked them there" thats the sort of thing i say,I just shoouted down to dh that i realise he is only 13 but could he possibly clear up the fucking bathroom! Towels and dirty kit on the floor,is he kidding?

ledkr · 11/07/2011 21:48

When is the killing next on wiggs

hubbard86 · 11/07/2011 21:53

Thanks for all the birthday wishes. had an ok day.got a bottle of bubbly, micheal mcintyre tickets, some chanel make up and the zumba wii game. finally managed to make another cake and have uploaded a pic to my profile.
Freya has been a love today, so smiley especially to her big bro, she really does adore him. she was in bed for half 7. I bought her a mesh feeder from asda yesterday and gave her some banana in it, she spent 20 mins getting wonderfully sticky and looked ever so annoyed when i took it away.
