Its dh's Mum that was taken ill Tree. She's doing ok now, but still not 100 percent. Its a long-term health problem that took a serious turn for the worst, so she's on some new drugs and hopefully things will gradually improve. We are round at theirs tomorrow for dh's Nan's 90th birthday. They have a bouncy castle for all the grandchildren and the children of some family friends - so we're praying for some sunshine or it'll be a washout.

Good to hear dd is having fun - rain won't spoil Legoland - half the rides get you soaking wet anyway! Grin

Have to confess to forgetting to send you the vibes almost as soon as I came of the laptop yesterday - sorry! My neuro stuff is still pretty weird at the moment and my memory really sucks - its literally input/output rather than any actual retention these days. Blush Sorry you had a bad night, hope tonight is easier for you.

You're doing well with your weightloss as well - I've been going longer than you, but you'll be catching me up in no time. Weighed in this morning and am another pound down, so that's 25 down now. I'm using My Fitness Pal and its really working for me. I love the way it adds up all my calories for me without me even having to think about it. Need to up my exercise now though, or the weighloss will start to slow down, so dh and I are starting the 30 Day Shred this evening. I'm very nervous about it, but at the same time really pleased that I finally feel strong enough to do some proper exercise.

Have you popped into the ME thread recently? I put my head around the door the other day, but feel too guilty to hang around because I'm feeling so much better and they are all still where I was a few months ago. Sad

Your holiday sounds great. I'd love to go somewhere we could guarantee some sunshine - Ireland was very changeable this year. We did have some scorching weather, but mostly patches here and there through the clouds. Still at least we didn't have much rain I suppose.

missjackson · 22/08/2011 00:37

Hi all -

Sorry your holiday wasn't great MM, but well done on the weight loss!

ray 10 days! OMG... poor little girl. Was she upset with it? Maybe it was the flight, always has that effect on me actually! But not 10 days... and tree fingers crossed you get a 'result' soon.

Waves to northern hkz, how's it all going? I forget if you are working or not up there? How is little H? She must be sitting up, crawling? N is fab, she is the sweetest little pudding and I completely adore her. But I think I said that already Blush.

tinkbig · 22/08/2011 09:49

moosemama · 22/08/2011 14:09

Hello all

Couldn't start the shred Saturday, blooming neuro problems surfaced again and I was in bed early. We did however start yesterday morning and crikey we are like a pair of old ladies today we're that creaky. Blush Neither of us can walk up and down the stairs and dh says he can't get out of his desk chair at work! Grin

I have just completed day two and it has loosened my muscled up a bit, but I am still walking verrrry slowly and carefully!

Waves to HKZ, MissJ and Tink. Smile

tinkbig · 22/08/2011 15:22

hi mm Grin

is that 30 day shred i hv that is good

tinkbig · 22/08/2011 15:23

dd1s paedatrician appmnt is tom re dyspraxia

moosemama · 22/08/2011 16:35

Hi Tink. Yes the 30 Day Shred. It really, er ... helps you find your muscles doesn't it! Grin I have been assured that the sore muscles gets better after the first 4 or 5 days, I really hope they're right!

Dd does it with me, bless her. Its so cute to watch her with her hands and feet on the floor waving her little bottom around when she thinks she's doing push ups! Grin She has the smallest set of weights from my set - because they're pink Hmm and loves to try and copy Jillian Michaels. Only problem is, when we have to do the abs exercises she always wants to lie right next to me and I've clonked the poor child on the head on more than one occasion. Blush

Had to ban the boys from the room - their giggling was putting me off. Hmm

Good luck with the paed appointment. Is your dh still taking her?

tinkbig · 22/08/2011 18:52

hi mm - thanks yes dh taking her

when i do dvd dd2 sits on me and copys 2 and luvs my weights
yes soreness does ease

moosemama · 22/08/2011 19:09

Phew! Don't think I'd last the 30 days if I carried on being this sore all the way through.

Lenni · 23/08/2011 22:26

Bookmarking... I do read, honest! I just never know what to write when I'm sooooo far behind all the time Blush I'd vow to do better but it won't happen so best not.

Hope your new abode has been settled into HKZ and L starts to meet people once school starts. Can't believe we go back next week, we've been robbed, everyone else seems to have another fortnight!

3rd babies?!!! You crazy lot. I secretly would love another, but couldn't face doing the whole pregnancy/newborn bit again so it isn't going to happen. Not unless I can birth a 2.5 year old. The labour would be horrendous. Plus I don't think I could do my job pregnant Shock it would be a little bit on the risky side Grin

Hope your nights are improving Tree, sounds horrible, vulnerable people have their extreme highs and lows don't they?

Back to the Libya loop on BBC news... I thought it might be over tonight, but looking less and less likely.

tinkbig · 24/08/2011 11:59

hi ladies
my parents have dd1 till late fri Grin
went food shopping with dd2 this morn bought dd1s bday cake and balloons

dd1 was diagnosed with developmental dyspraxia yesterday by paedatricain which we had suspected

hi lenni

moosemama · 24/08/2011 12:09

Its good that you have a diagnosis Tink. Did they say what support they are going to give you/her?

Teaandcakeplease · 24/08/2011 12:25

Hello ladies, I'm thinking now that I should've posted this in our thread, too tired today to think clearly, but if you have time, could you come and post? www.mumsnet.com/Talk/food/1286331-5-a-day-I-need-some-help-please

Tink I'm glad you have a diagnosis x

thanku mm for comments on other thread

cheers tea heading over to ur other thread

treedelivery · 25/08/2011 15:24

Hello all

Tink - It's good you ahve a diagnosis now, will you be getting any help with school or anything? If she needs it?

Hello Lenni Smile how are you?

Moose - big up respect for your weight loss. I seem totally devoid of motivation....annoying as weight watchers is expensive. I actually like it though, it's totally the best for me. When I'm less lazy.

Nights tonight. Sigh. Hope they are easier. It's always bedlam in the holidays as we have so many visitors to the town and so many of them are pregnant and so have small bleeds or think waters have gone and so on and so on. Lots come around term and deliver too, so it's been really really busy. I'm generally weekend nights too, which are usually busier anyway with admissions and hopefulls Grin Remember the feeling well, so much more handy if you can labour at weekend when dp/dh is off Grin

Well we are off on holiday Monday. Doesn't feel real!!! Haven't got any euros or anything, but have paid for car parking etc. So have done something.

Hello to all others and apologies for any huge news I have failed to mention or comment on Blush. Night all!

tinkbig · 25/08/2011 16:21

hi tree thanks Grin have already had a meeting with senco really helpful
good luck with nights!!
not long till nights then

GotArt · 26/08/2011 06:42

Bookmarking. Pumping and the drone of the machine is making it hard to concentrate.

It was hot here today too; went to beach.

DD went to bed early last night for misbehaving, (she smacked DD2 a couple of times, threw stuff at her and then deliberately stepped on her) and there was no book and cookie and holy cow, it was quite a show. She was devastated. She begged and begged but I stuck to my guns. The night before was hard too. Today was a different matter, remembering last night. She was very good.

Another hot one for tomorrow is in the forecast... what to do?

hackneyzoo · 26/08/2011 22:12

GA I remeber the drone of the pump, DH always thought te sight of me pumping was hilarious, bastard Grin Glad Dd was good tonight, well done for sticking to your guns, its bloody hard work.

Tink, glad you have a good SENCO on board. Will you see the OT? They can be brilliant at putting things in place for the every day. Hope all is well otherwise.

Tree, have a lovely holiday, hope its hot and sunny. Its cold and rainy here.

Moose, well done on all theh weight loss. I need to get my arse into gear, back down to normal size again, but can't shift the flabby tummy, I hate it! Grr. Might have to do some exercise.

Lenni, well done on your students' gcse results, saw your FB thread. Sorry you are going back early. Feels strange not to actually be going back this September.

MissJ Nesta is loking gorgeous on your pics. Know what you mean about being completely besotted. Am loving every minute this time around.

Waves to tea, 180, Stripey and everyone else.

Well we have moved into our new place and I have the internet again. Have been knocking down walls and painting and lookng round in disbelief that we have a whole house to ourselves! Am loving it up here.
DD1 is being a bit of a PITA, she has had the whole holidays up here with no one to play with apart from DS, so I don't really blame her. They have been really sweet together though, wonder how long it will last.

DS is proving to be a very lovingbig brother, which I am surprised at, but he is very sweet and gentle with DD2. DD1 isn't so impressed though.

DD1 is starting school proper, it seems to have gone way too fast. Bought her some uniform from ASDA and she looks tiny in it.

No real news here, am getting very nervous about work, DH is lecturing at the university here, but only on Summer courses, they wont employ him for the academic year until they know how many students there are...so am worried at the thought of no work and there have been zero teaching jobs advertised for me. So keep your fingers crossed something comes up.

Hope you all get some sunshione for the BH weekend.

GotArt · 27/08/2011 02:13

Grrr... just wrote a one hand typed post and it disappeared because it took so long for me to do it. grr

must go now as I have to clean up from dinner.

Have a great weekend Ladies

Teaandcakeplease · 27/08/2011 22:05

Hello. Well I think I've finally worked out what works for DS sleep wise now. He likes a daytime nap as I've said and if he goes to bed at 8pm he sleeps through until 5.45am often 6am. Without waking, he does wake now only if he's hot.

He has an ikea duvet, I suspect I need to find him a better one though Blush

All is well here in tea land. I am lurking but never seem to find enough time to respond better on here at the moment. But helllooooooooooooo Grin

OP posts:
treedelivery · 28/08/2011 19:41

Hello Tea, that is great he is sleeping a little better for you. Still an early wake up for you though, you must need uber early nights! Ikea duvet probably totally fine and good quality - if it aint broke don't fix it I say.

Hi GotArt. Hope your weekend was/is nice. Bank holiday one here, our little seaside was heaving!!

2 bits of family type news. DD1 had her first go in our local skatepark with her scooter. She loved it and did well, according to her daddy. The young adult skaters were rude and swore and were horrible, but the 'youths' and kids were lovely and a few 12-14 year olds told her the ropes and a few tricks. Ace. We are totally cool with her taking this route, beats skinny botoxed artificial pornpopstars. I've said I'll take her down after school when a boy said it's nicest for younger riders. It's by the sea too, so counts as my 5-a-month fresh air exposures Grin

other news, dd1 declined to move bedrooms, but then changed her mind when I said she could have a lock on her door. Now I'm undecided. I love my girls stacked in their bunkbeds....but she is getting a bit older (7 soon) and will need an increasing amount of peacr, space and time out. Maybe we should try it.
Plus it's a great excuse to decorate Grin. DD1 wants blue stars, and then blus stripes. Sure, I'll just paint those right on darling, no problem Hmm.

I get to choose dd2, which I luuuurve. Nice pale biscuit and meybe a pale pink or pale blue accent. Lovely. I love scheming Am studiously ignoring the fast that the nightmare roof repairs we undertook haven't worked and the leak continues. We could have left the 2 holes where they were, for all the difference it made!

No idea where to park dh now, he was meant to have an office type thing in the spare room. I am loath to allow files and obnoxious piles of paper to invade my living room. Or my bedroom. Or my kitchen. Or my landing. Might squeeze him in playroom corner Grin

Can't actually believe we go on holiday tomorrow. This is a great feeling. I know I will be starting the most horrible financial time of our lives.....overdrawn. But I don't care a hoot, dh has no work for a whole week and we are getting outta here! Woo Hooo. Then when we get back DH can look forward to leaving work and it occured to me that if we can time it right, I won't have to drag poor H-bomb out of bed in the cold winter mornings. I can do a school dash with dd2 and then be back before dh leaves for uni. Bliss.

So happy days over here. Have had 2 takeaways and a carvery. Weightwatching but in the wrong kind of way.

Love to all. x
