Love the new photos on fb Stripey/ Rhetorician, gorgeous.

moosemama · 09/12/2011 20:38

Oh - can't believed I missed the arrival of your dd2 Stripey!

Huge Congratulations to the both of you and of course, the big sister! Grin

Happy birthday MiniGA as well! Grin

Sorry I've been awol again. Am meeting myself coming back at the moment.

Ds1 has been referred to the asthma clinic and had his first appointment this week. Unfortunately they say they can't assess him properly at the moment because he still isn't properly recovered from his chest infection - so we are back again at the beginning of January.

On the other hand, ds2 was finally discharged from the eye hospital this week, having been under the consultants there since he was three. Which is fantastic.

Unfortunately, I received a letter saying the neurologist wants to see me this coming Wednesday, which was a bit of a shock. She said at my original appointment that she wouldn't see me again unless they found something on my MRI. So all a bit of a worry really, especially as the appointment date is within two weeks of the day the test results were due in. Sad Trying not to think about it too much at the moment, as I'll only wind myself up and then it will most likely turn out to be something and nothing.

Ds1 is singing in the Christingle concert at school this week and ds2 has a speaking part in a mini-play they're doing as part of the Christmas assembly, so am looking forward to watching both my boys perform.

Some of you must have had nativities to attend - Tink? Dog? Am very Envy. Both my boys are too old now - but I guess dd will be picking up where they left off this time next year! Shock

Popping in quick... DD1 bday playdate party was great... one little friend was irate to say the least. He was crying and screaming for his mom. One of the other moms takes him one day a week... but this day he just didn't want to leave the house. He eventually calmed down the poor thing, and we had cupcakes. Xmas Smile

The Christmas party was also great... holy fricken kids everywhere and all under 3! about 18 of them. Xmas Shock But there was lots of food and drink and then we did the gift exchange and then slowly each one starts kicking off and we start packing up and head home. DD1 is SOOOOOO excited for Christmas. Its clicked or something...

Its really fun again, Xmas season. Xmas Grin

Ciao for now.

PatTheHammer · 14/12/2011 21:14

Oh good grief..............its nearly christmas and I don't think I have posted on here since the summer Blush

How is everyone? Think I am managing to keep up with all on FB, so pleased about the new stripelet arrivingXmas Grin, such a lovely name too, glad it all went well.

painterly- good to see your news too!

I had a scare last month when i was EIGHTEEN days late, thankfully due to illness and stress and not anything else, although it would have been an immaculate conception anyway as october was the month of pox for DH and chest infection for me so there wasn't much action.
Think he may be following your DH gotart, to the doctors to get that sorted, I have very much decided my uterus has shut up shop for goodGrin

Going to have a much better christmas this year i hope, DH and I on much better terms, my sister has her special IVF baby boy (he has just turned 3 months and is a bundle of chunk) and best of all we are staying at mums so i don't have any of the stress or expense of hosting, thank goodness!

Also, my sisters DP is coming on leaps and bounds (pardon the pun!) It looks like he will definitely keep his remaining leg and a few weeks ago he started training for the paralympic canoeing squad! I was just like thisShock, the accident wasn't even a year ago yet! He has been so brave and matter-of-fact about the whole thing.

Soooooo, festive waves to one and all in case I don't make it back for a few months.....................Xmas Smile

GotArt · 14/12/2011 22:54

PAT Nice! thanks for the update. I think most of us are on FB... except Moose Grin Glad to hear BIL is getting on. I'm petrified of getting pregnant again. DH came at me the other day and I told him to get away... he laughed and said I wasn't going to get pregnant and I said I probably would considering how damn fertile the two of us are. Grin Jan 17th can't come fast enough, then its 3 more months before they can know for sure that it is done. Gad... the wait. Grin Well, by then, DD2 will be in the crib in DD1's room as she will have a proper single bed.

hackneyzoo · 16/12/2011 18:31

Just had a quick skim through, hope everyone is good.
moose big hugs to you. Hope your app went ok and the results of your MRI were nothing to worry about or at least helpful to you in managing your health. how scary for you.

Seem to have spent the week attending endless end of term/ Christas parties full of small children stuffed full of colourings. The mind boggles as to the number of concerts/performances there will be to attend when all three of them are at school.

DS keeps getting recurrent ear infections which really seem to bug him, he gets them whenever he has a cold, about every three weeks! DD2 is trying to walk, scary!

pat and ga I am with you on the snip, dh has promised to get it done in the ny. He better if he ever wants to resume our pre-dc sex life Grin

festivehellokitty · 16/12/2011 21:24

Happy Christmas everyone! Xmas Smile

Congratulations on new babies and up-duffage and non-up-duffage (pat!). I convinced myself over Xmas that I was pg with no.3, absolutely convinced, but turns out it was just too many mince pies and prosecco making me feel queasy Xmas Blush. Was (mostly) relieved. Even if we have three, I would like the gap to be a little bit bigger.

festivehellokitty · 28/12/2011 20:52

hi miss j great to hear from you Grin

moosemama · 01/01/2012 16:58

Just thought I'd pop in and wish everyone a very happy 2012. Seems its been very quiet on here over the holidays though.

Good to hear from you MissJ. Hope all is well with you and yours. Smile

Am typing this sort of upside down, as I'm laid flat out and have been since last Thursday when they screwed up my lumbar puncture. Hmm

Hoping to be at least upright again by the time dh returns to work on Tuesday - but am starting to worry if I'm honest.

Been lying down shopping online for dd's birthday. Had planned to trawl the high street sales, but that's not really an option now. Have bought her a rosebud fairy dress up set, a rainbow petal organza tutu and wings, musical jewellery box (too keep all the jewellery she had for christmas in) some craft stuff, a pair of embroidered ballet shoes and some hair accessories to go with her fairy outfits, a bathroom for her dolls house and a couple of books. She also has the ELC playdough fairy set I bought in the sales last christmas. As you can probably tell, she is a tad fairy obsessed at the moment. Grin

She's set her sights on a fairy castle cake now. Really hoping I'll be up to cake decorating by then. Think I need to plan something simple but effective. At least she's dropped the idea of having a specifically Ben and Holly Castle, so I have a bit more scope. Need to get onto ordering some sugar paste etc I suppose. Am a bit Hmm and Sad about it as I've waited years to have the excuse of doing a castle cake again and now its looking like I'm going to have to compromise. Am hoping I can talk her into wanting she'll want another one when she's older and I can go to town on it then. Grin

I've asked family, if they wouldn't mind, to only buy something very small or even just a card (as she's already had so much for christmas) but then to get her something in the summer, as we never seem to be able to afford outdoor toys during the summer when she needs them and if we give her summer toys in the winter she gets upset that she can't use them straight away. So mum is going to get her a sandpit in May/June and she'll probably also get a new paddling/ball pool and a few other garden toys over the summer.

moosemama · 02/01/2012 19:44

Hi Tink

Christmas was good here thanks. Glad you had a good time in Hull. Smile

We got dd the Lalaloopsy Ferris Wheel and a set of dolls for dd christmas too. They were all less than half price in The Entertainer. Mind you, the dolls have spent most of the holiday sliding down the stairs in dd's new dolls house! Grin

Dh is back to work tomorrow and I'm still flat out, so feeling a bit nervous. Boys are back at school on Wednesday, so will try to keep everything low key and quiet tomorrow and direct things from flat on my back on the sofa as much as possible. If that even is possible.

Just wanted to pop in and post a very happy 3rd birthday to all our thread babies over the next few weeks (and some that have been already- Gotart and teaandcake I think). Hope you are enjoying your little treasures as they turn into fully fledged 'threenagers'........god help usGrin

Seems unbelievable that they are all this big and some of you have had more since thenShock, where does the time go!

Final preparations for Z's party tonight, we are copping out this year and doing soft-play party so just party bags and present (very small one as the party is ££££) to prepare. I even bought a Toy Story cake as have so much on at the moment I really can't be arsed to make one. Do you know what, he will love it anyway!

Also a special message for Edgar (not that she will read it but just wanted to write it down), we will all be thinking of your lovely special boy who should have been 3 this month. Much love and hugs will be bestowed on the January'09ers in his honour. Sleep-tight little one x

PatTheHammer · 06/01/2012 17:50

moosemama · 07/01/2012 13:32

I would also like to add my thoughts to Edgar. I will be thinking of you this month and sending much love and light. x
