Shiney new thread.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
moosemama · 13/10/2011 21:18

Have responded on your other thread Tea.

Not sure if I can be much help though. Ds1 wasn't completely dry at night until we removed gluten from his diet aged 8 and still has very occasional accidents even now if he's anxious or very overtired.

GotArt · 14/10/2011 06:44

Ah, yes, the 'why's?' started the other day for us.

Bookmarking cause I lost my train of thought. Grin

moosemama · 14/10/2011 09:41

Why GA? Did someone distract you? Why? Why? Why? Grin

Dd has been doing this for a few weeks and its seriously driving me to distraction now.

hellokittyruleswastink · 14/10/2011 13:06

afternoon Grin

delivered betteware bks this morning
have put sylvanian sets on ebay

moosemama · 14/10/2011 15:54

Hi Tink,

Doesn't dd2 want the sylvanian stuff then?

I have got Jillian Michaels Banish Fat Boost Metabolism being delivered tomorrow and have just pre-ordered Ripped in 30, which comes out in the UK just after Christmas. If anyone had told me this time last year I'd be addicted to exercise I would have laughed, weird how things can change so much in just a few months. Grin

hellokittyruleswastink · 14/10/2011 20:47

hi mm

wow u r addicted Wink

nope d12 doesnt have any interest in them selling so i can use money for there xmas pressies

Rrrrayray · 15/10/2011 13:15

Lots of but why's going on here too.

Moose- good for you. Nice to be addicted to something so healthy.

At my parents, just had home made soup & put esme down for her nap. For first time jn a long time might nap too! :-)

moosemama · 15/10/2011 13:44

Lol Ray. Yes, makes a change from chocolate! Grin

Have a nice nap!

Rrrrayray · 17/10/2011 08:10

I'm usually a choc addict too, but since being pregnant don't want the stuff. Hurrah x

hellokittyruleswastink · 17/10/2011 10:16

wow rray - i am obssessed with choccy at the mo

moosemama · 17/10/2011 11:02

I was the same with dd Ray, craved apples like crazy and ate really heathily all the way through. Ended up lighter after I had her than I was before I got pregnant!

Tink - its the time of year. I reckon our bodies want to hibernate and encourage us to eat loads of carbs and high fat sugary food to store up for winter. Its really not making dieting easy for me at the moment. Hmm

GotArt · 18/10/2011 21:42

tink I saw one of your posts there said "d12" and I was shocked... clould you imagine if there was someone that said that on here...too funny.. maybe just cause I'm tired. Grin

moose Ah the lost of thought was brought on by it being late for me and having a very long day. Nothing too exciting. Grin

As far as addictions go, I have just discovered that for me, its not the copious amount of eating of baked goods but the actual baking of the baked good. I was jonsing the other day, pacing, and DH said, what is it? I said, I need to bake something. (I promptly got out the mixer and got to work Grin)

Ick... caught DH washing baby bottles with the pots and pan scrubby... gross. He thinks its OK cause there was soap on the scrubby. I say No Way! I washed them up after he left. Grin

moosemama · 19/10/2011 20:06

Dd has finally had a potty training breakthrough. Hurrah! Grin

After two weeks off following her virus, I was intending to try again next week and we had a couple of little chats about going to the shop to buy some more chocolate buttons and she could choose, brown ones, white ones or giant ones. Then out of the blue, she just started asking to go on teh potty and now she tells me every time before she needs to go and in good time to get there as well! Shock

I should have listened to my instincts, because I felt she wasn't quite ready, but gave into pusy DM and MIL's comments etc. Honestly, I'm on dc2 fgs, you'd think I'd know better by now.

So now she is now dry during the day and at nap times and she poos like clockwork every night after tea.

Phew! Grin

Other than that, life has been pretty much same old, same old, except ds2 was off sick with his first ever migraine today. Sad Poor thing was in so much pain and couldn't open his eye. Ds1 started with them at exactly the same age. I think it was triggered by exhaustion, which always kicked them off for me and generally does the same to ds1. I feel so guilty that they've inherited this from me, migraines are the pits. Sad

GotArt · 19/10/2011 23:18

Yeah for DD... Sad for DS2... migraines are the pits.

moosemama · 20/10/2011 09:36

OMG, just noticed a catalogue of errors in my post! Blush

the - not teh, pushy - not pusy and I'm on dc3 not 2. Doh!

Honestly, if they find a brain in there when they do my MRI I'll be very surprised!

hellokittyruleswastink · 20/10/2011 11:18

hi mm -

great news re dd Grin
poor ds2 with migraine!!, i used to get loads horrid!!

dd2 is dry now all day she does wees and poos on the toilet
wears pants all the time now and when out
she was wearing pullups when we went out and indoors sometimes
wears pullups at nap time
so proud of her

my mum potty trained her when me and dh were away Shock

betteware going well Grin got loads of orders this morning
ebay items going well 2 [GRIN]

moosemama · 20/10/2011 11:53

Thanks Tink

Big test today, we are going out for longer than the school-run for the first time since she started asking for the potty. Messy play at the Surestart centre, then fetching ds2, so we'll be out for a couple of hours.

You're mum sounds great! Grin

Fantastic that your Betterware is going so well!

I really have to get ebaying - the stuff I have to sell is starting to take over the house, but our camera is broken. Think I will have to get dh to take pictures of everything using his phone, as mine has a rubbish camera, but his is as good as a proper digital camera, iyswim.

I'm rambling, sorry. Just finished a full Banish Fat Boost Metabolism workout and its addled my brain! Blush Grin

hellokittyruleswastink · 20/10/2011 15:50

my mum didnt ask us first though!

bracken wore pants on betteware round today so longer then normal i carry the potty in car she used it once no probs Grin

taking pics via phone sounds gd

i sold slide yesterday on ebay

saving up money for dd2s bday pressies and girls xmas pressies

moosemama · 20/10/2011 17:12

Ah - well that puts a different spin on it then Tink. Shock

Dd did really well, went on the toilet at toddler group, was really keen to flush it herself and has since walked to the school twice to fetch her brothers and waited while we watched ds1 finish his cricket match and no accidents. Grin

IdjustassoonkissaZombie · 20/10/2011 20:22

Envy at all this talk of potty training success

moosemama · 20/10/2011 20:37

Sorry Tea.

That's my point though really. Pretty much as soon as I stopped stressing about it, she decided she was ready and did it herself.

Neither of my boys were trained this young. Both of them were trained the summer before they started nursery, so around 3 years 2 months old and it went without a hitch - straight to the toilet and no accidents (unless you include ds1's night time wetting, but that's another story). I'd far rather do it that way given the choice, much less stressful for both the mum and the child.

GotArt · 23/10/2011 04:37

Good morning!

We bought The Lobster and DD2 loves it. The funny thing is that it goes up to 35lbs... DD1 could still use it. lol We have on the bar/island and so she has full view of the goings on. DD1 loves it too cause she pulls up her stool and keeps 2 happy. Mummy happy so everyone else is too. Grin

Don't have much else to say.

Grin ... should probably go to bed.

hellokittyruleswastink · 23/10/2011 13:16

gotart looks good Grin

all ebay items sold for good amounts so have enough money Grin

good weekend here

moosemama · 23/10/2011 20:08

Got art, those clip on seats are such a good idea. We had/have one of these telescopic camping high chairs that all 3 of our dcs have used. It fits into its own small duffle bag and weighs almost nothing, one of the best baby buys we've ever made.

We keep it in the car and it has been invaluable at times, especially when camping, eating at other people's houses or when there's no highchair free in a restaurant. She still likes it now as its easier for her than trying to reach the table top from a normal height chair and having to eat the whole meal kneeling up (she's still a little dot really).

Well done on your successful ebay sales Tink.

We are off to see Blackpool Illuminations with the dcs tomorrow. I've heard its a bit disappointing this year, but at least its something different and we get to visit Lancashire, which holds a special place in our hearts (ds1 was born there and we lived there for 7 happy years). The dogs can have a run on their favourite beach as well - well I say their favourite - there's only one of our old doggie crew left now, but I'm sure our lurcher boy will enjoy a good gallumph across the sands just as much as our old three used to. Grin

hellokittyruleswastink · 24/10/2011 20:57

sounds lovely mm
