Random question, sorry, N always seems to have his toes curled including when he's standing, do the other babies do this?

reastie · 08/07/2011 15:19

borg I did the swing your pants song/dance the other day to my dh. He looked Shock as he had no idea what I was on about Hmm Grin

I am just on mn to look for some nice recipes for my money saving menu planning next week Hmm

i meant to watch the killing but forgot. Must catch up online. Have just started watching stolen on iplayer [sob]

reastie · 08/07/2011 15:20

and yes alice does that toe curling when standing up. i'm glad you asked as i always look at alices feet and wonder if that's normal. she has a mental little toe though which seems to move independantly of all her other toes in a bizarre fashion

wigglesrock · 08/07/2011 15:25

Borg I'm scundered Grin, you can always tell if Mr W is working or if Anna is asleep by the amount of times I'm on MN.

I remember being told that babies start to uncurl their toes when they're ready to stand unaided, have shoes, its why you shouldn't get shoes for them too early, mind you, could be a load of nonsense - can't remember if it was my mil that told me Grin

Ssh about the Nutella from jar, I told Olivia you could only get Nutella in Ibiza, think she may be getting ready to start a coup next time we're in Tescos!!

40Weeks · 08/07/2011 15:30

Ha ha Delia is she sitting outside in her car waiting to catch a glimpse of dp? Your post really made me laugh.

reastie How come your mum changed her mind? What a stress for you, what about a hog roast? This is my answer to everything. I want to have a naming ceremony for all 3 boys simply so I have an excuse to get a hog roast! Make sure we see a pic of the fancy pants cake. Who is it doing the cake decorating workshop? I would love to do one. I am looking at doing a Very Hungry Caterpillar cake for ds2 in Sept, I love cake decorating, although bow to debkas superior skill, of course

M had his last set of jabs today, he is in a right mood now and ds2 (Owen) is under the weather. Fell asleep in my arms on the bus and is very warm and clingy, so ds1 (another Thomas!) is playing up for attention

wiggles and The House of 100 Maps, glad you had a nice day out. What a good cultural mummy you are.

Mizk can we see pics of cupcakes please? And dp in pinny!

WeAreBorg · 08/07/2011 15:31

Ah thanks, must be normal then. I just had visions of him walking around on curled toes or perhaps pirhouetting (spelling???) around. Smile at Alice's mental toe, it's always good to have a rogue digit.

Thanks you've reminded me to stop messing about on here and do my on-line shop. I always plan a menu for the week unless DH doing some antisocial shifts then I end up not bothering to cook for myself and eat things like a jar of nutella for tea. I bought it from Ibiza though!!

reastie · 08/07/2011 15:38

40 dh and I (and MIL) all veggie so don't think a hog roast the best idea Hmm . Think I'll end out making everything and buying a few bits from 'cook' (if you know it).

Think it was hubbard doing the cake decorating course wasn't it? 40 love to see the hungry callepillar cake - now that is a challenge Grin

just found an interesting recipe for lettuce risotto on mn recipes, might have to give it a go and see if it tastes better than it sounds

ledkr · 08/07/2011 15:43

Ooo wiggles no coloured rocks?Ella always has to have some rocks.i try hard to disuade her.
Re hv,i know its not my first but its my first who has a cleft, reflux, medication and poor weight gain Hmm
Didnt have a great night,i worked really hard to get Dilly to have agood sleep in the afternoon and was all on schedule then stupid slow arse did everything late so she ended up flaking out during her last bottle resulting in a 5am wake up,at least i know that its defo the problem,i had alate night so am really tired today,Ella has been pushing it in the morning snd kept leaving the table during breakfast so i threw it in the bin, then marched her to school in the rain then spent the rest of today feeling guilty altho i shouldnt really as she did have warnings.
I hope A is alright tad my ds 2 and 3 had theirs done at the same time.Im dreading Dillys op but will also be glad to get it over with.
Reastie for Ellas christening i did a ploughmans buffet and strawberrys and cream,it worked out ok in price.
I have Ellas friend here tonight, her Mum has just had twins,i simply cant imagine it.

ledkr · 08/07/2011 15:46

Yep the killing was why i went to bed late, twas tres good, didnt know there was a Danish one tho.Why do you know that?/???

WeAreBorg · 08/07/2011 15:55

ledkr I know that because I am a geek Smile.
With all that Dilly has going on the Hv should be more on the ball, I think they just presume if you look halfway sensible you can manage (agree with whoever made that same point earlier).

40Weeks · 08/07/2011 15:55

For some reason my phone has

WeAreBorg · 08/07/2011 15:59

Dramatic cliff hanger from 40

Look, Harry Potter smileys!!!!

Right really have to do the shop now

40Weeks · 08/07/2011 15:59

Aahhhhh oy just refreshed, so now it looks like I have ignored all the latest posts but I couldn't see them I promise!

Borg Mikey has weird toes too! Like there are too many for his feet or something, I call them monkey feet as they clasp onto stuff like hands!

reastie sorry forgot you were veggie, am now sniggering at hog roast idea

wiggles I LOVE nutella! Tell Sophia she can come and live here, girl after my own heart

40Weeks · 08/07/2011 16:01

Or Oilvia.....soz

ledkr · 08/07/2011 16:11

[hgrin] [hsmile] [hwink] [hconfused] these are cool arent they

ledkr · 08/07/2011 16:12

[hangry] [henvy] sorry wanted to try the different colours, my dh is at work too.

reastie · 08/07/2011 16:46

will people stop saying if you look half way normal/decent/sane/tidy/normal etc hvs don't bother - I (like to) think I am all those things but my hv still gave me a home visit this week Blush . I think it's a bit luck of the draw .

ledkr strawberries and cream sounds tres delish. Got to plan carefully this christening food due to numerous fussy eaters/old people tastes. good luck tonight btw

Have found a great use for moses basket now alice too big for it at night - I put one of those boomerang pillows (no idea what the proper name for them is) around one side so she can sit in it supported by the pillow and play with a toy - gave me some peace earlier so I got to mn change the bed sheets. Took a piccie of her in her new seat - will try and post later.

reastie · 08/07/2011 16:58

photo of said moses basket and pillow attachment now on profile [hgrin]

WeAreBorg · 08/07/2011 17:37

[hblush] sorry reastie forgot you were being pestered by your HV. Maybe she is in love with you too? Like Delia's HV?

I can't see anyone's photos! Maybe I should put some actual photos of my own son and stop nebbing over other peoples and getting broody.

40 I have what were unkindly called monkey nut toes and saw a physio or something when I was little and remember having to hold a pencil under them [hhmm]. Was slightly concerned that N was heading the same way but then remembered I can stand up fine [hgrin]

I like these smileys [hgrin][hgrin][hbiscuit]

40Weeks · 08/07/2011 18:07

Monkey nut toes? That should be your NN!

Poor reastie with the stalker hv

janedoe25 · 08/07/2011 18:23

reastie Alice really is beautiful! Such a happy little girl [hsmile]

Glad you all had a good day wiggles.

argh, sorry i have forgot what everyone else has posted about! Hope you are all wee [hgrin]

ILovePonyo · 08/07/2011 19:09

reastie good use of moses basket, will try that myself! A is so so cute, I think my favourite photo though is the one of her in her random outfit, I've seen it before but it did make me chuckle again Grin

Borg and 40 dd has monkey feet too! Little gripping toes just like with her fingers. Although her nickname is Anya monkey so maybe she thinks shes meant to be gripping with them...

jane it is a shame we all live so far (we are v spread out aren't we) - when are you next popping into Nottingham? Grin

delia I also suspect your hv may have a bit of a 'thing' for you Wink - you should get dh to be at home for her next visit so 1) she knows he exists 2) she knows she doesn't have a chance haha!

got to go and put dd to bed now, she is tired and screamed all the way through her bath Hmm

ledkr · 08/07/2011 19:19

Message to borg i saw you on the sleep thread, you sound how i feel, altho i know i should be gratefull rah rah rah that she sleeps from 7.30 all night i am finding the early mornings so draining, dont feel pleased to be going to bed cos know you dont get long.Im reluctant to go to bed too early as get no adult time.
To everyone, can we do a straw poll about who's baby is in their own room as i think im ready to take the plunge,d is such a fidgety noisy sleeper its driving me mental, she is literally the other end of the cot,is this normal?
Sorry im being a bit self obsessed im soooo tired, feels like we make progress then back track. She had an afternoon nap and an early nigfht tonight so will prob sleep later,if so that defo proves my theory.
I wonder how tads lo is feeling after her op.

wigglesrock · 08/07/2011 19:43

WeAreBorg maybe we haven't changed to your new name on Mumsnet mates!! Can you see mine, but yes hurry up and get some of your own up Grin Was going to put some more up but Sofia looks so grown up the one I took of her that I'm in shock and a little teary.

ledkr Anna not in her own room yet, but that's just because we're not sure where to put her, not that the house is that big but the bedrooms are split over two floors and the other 2 are humming and aahing about sharing!!! Sofia and Olivia were both in their own rooms by 4/5 months.

My bloody sister called up and is just away, no little Wiggles in bed yet, grrr

reastie · 08/07/2011 19:48

borg I've added you so should be OK.

ledkr alice is in with dh. i dont blame yo for putting her on her own - I can't cope with the fidgeting hence dh sleeps in spare room with her. They say advice is own room at 6 months isn't it? dilly must be nearly there (although I know you said something about she'd be on another floor or something in your massive townhouse
