delia poo about estate agents - not my favourite people - had hellish time when we moved 2 years ago - just as well we like this house, am never moving again.

irishqueen lovely photos - Caoimhe has gorgeous hair, so does Maeve Grin

IlovePonyo hope first night in big girl room goes ok xx

americanexpat sending a hug, and Wine or Brew

jane fingers and everything else crossed for you.

Well, decided to take bull by the horns and get organised - have spend most of the evening mooching around Asda with my sister Grin, well needed another dress, not that I'll wear it, why do clothes that look like a good idea on holiday look like cack at home Grin

Will update stats later with wobblys new Trekkie name Grin

americanexpat · 13/06/2011 22:21

irishqueen - Maeve's hair always makes me Grin. Your other children are lovely too (but can't compete on the hair).

reastie - sorry baby massage didn't live up to expectations. Ours was quite good (and free!) but she said to stop if your baby isn't enjoying it. Sometimes none of the babies were being massaged during the class, one of them spent all four classes eating. Grin

I wonder if L is going through the dreaded four month sleep regression? He seems OK at night (well, OK for him) but he's waking earlier and not wanting to nap during the day. He usually naps in his swing, goes in without a problem then dozes off eventually. Now he starts screaming as soon as his bum touches it. He'll calm down if I sing to him (he's a fan of Ye Cannae Shove Yer Granny Off a Bus Hmm), but kicks off again if I stop.

How do I know if he's teething? He's drooling a lot but not chewing on anything more than normal. He has his jabs tomorrow so I'll discuss it with the HV.

Ponyo - it's grey and white with a zebra, Graco I think? It does classical music and nature sounds - sounds hilarious when the batteries are nearly flat.

american are you near me (just outside glasgow half the week and just outside dundee the other half)

40Weeks · 14/06/2011 07:07

Hey girls

Who was asking for help with teething? you can get infant powders (Ashton & Parsons) from boots or teething powder, boots do their own brand or Nelsons do them. They are pretty good, Mikey is always drooling and has his fist in his gob. We had a territory night last night, he screamed and screamed at about 11pm like he had a tummy ache, kept latching on for a bit and then pulling off crying. Dh is away so he ended up in with me and felt like we were awake all night.

Will try and catch up with everyone in a bit, trying to get us all dressed and fed before preschool, hope you're all well today

janedoe25 · 14/06/2011 07:30

Morning all,

irish I am busy (not busty ponyo) this weekend, we are goin to Staffordshire on Fri-Sun for a SANDS memorial service. We will defo sort something out though. I LOVE Maeves hair,it is fabby! Your older kids are gorgeous too, you must have good genes Grin Oh there are 2 Caoimhe's at the school my mindees go to!

40weeks Poor Mickey and you, hope he is ok today.

Hi wandering, hope you are well.

Uneventful day here for me, off out to meet a friend and her gorgeous girlies when the little darlings are in school.

Hope you all have a good one x

Pants, forgot to say wiggles if im not on later i hope you have a fabby holiday and don't miss us too much!Grin

janedoe25 · 14/06/2011 07:32

Argh im so scatterd brained today, ponyo How did last night go? Were you awake more than A?

ILovePonyo · 14/06/2011 08:14

Morning, thanks for asking jane - last night went well! Hooray! Funny you should ask if I was more awake, I did feel I was checking the video monitor a lot, but definitely feel I;ve slept well even though I was up at 5.45.
I think the fact that we don't have the black out blind in our room makes getting up easier (I don't mind the light coming in), and I wasn't waking up at every noise dd made during the night. Tbh, I quite like having my bedroom back, didn't think I'd say that before.

40weeks oh dear thats not good, are you one for sleeping in the day when baby sleeps? Find I can't do it which is sometimes annoying. Hope M's tummy is ok.

american think its a different swing I have, ah well :) I did Grin at Ye Cannae Shove Yer Granny Off a Bus - very funny! I think dd has been fussier with her naps during the day recently, someone (reastie?) said it might be that they are taking in so much during the day - lots of sights and sounds - so it might be hard to switch off? Recently the only way I've got dd to sleep in the day sometimes is holding and jigging her Confused

wandering thanks for tummy time tip - will be giving that a go. Lancs is a bit far isn't it :)

reastie hope baby massage is better next week. Shock at you being broody with little 8 week old babies - uh oh!

wiggles not long to go now Grin Grin bet you can't wait, have a fab time if I don't get on here before you go (I prob will :))

irishqueen · 14/06/2011 08:29

janedoe25 · 14/06/2011 08:30

ponyo Yay for Anya, im glad you managed a sleep!

reastie · 14/06/2011 08:34

ponyo I did Grin at our mix up of hovering and hoovering - puts a completely different meaning on things Wink i blame the tiredness . Yes, I think it was me saying about the napping situation and babies hard to switch off but this is just my made up logic

I'm getting seriously stressed about bedtime over here - since alice had her cold about 3 weeks ago (maybe I got her in bad habits to be kind to her when she was poorly) she's been a nightmare to get to sleep - it now takes me THREE HOURS every evening to get her to finally settle in her cot for the night. I feel like I can't complain given she does usually then go through the night but it's driving me mad - I'm having to do all the things I don't want to like rock her to sleep, cuddle her to sleep, have her in bed with me to go to sleep etc etc but am at a loss. Considering posting more on the sleep thread to see if they have any ideas.

hello again to wandering

irish can't remember if I said this or not but I love the piccies Grin

jane have a nice time with your friend today

wiggles are you all packed yet? Don't forget the sunnies Grin

Oh reastie Shock at 3 hours to get A to sleep, sorry i have no advice but hope the little madam changes that asap!

jackfrost · 14/06/2011 08:49

Well, hello all! How is everything going? I must say I have not read all the posts I have missed in the past few months, think it would take a few months to do!

Hope everyone is well and enjoying their babies!

jackfrost its been so long you still have your christmas nn Grin Wink Wink how are those twins? (slowangels1 here btw - name change)

wigglesrock · 14/06/2011 08:59

Morning, ponyo well done Anya, I'm looking forward to getting our room back too, going to get more organised re room changing etc when we come back.

40Weeks hope Mikey starts to feel better, and you get some rest.

Still procrastinating re packing etc, Mr W is the worldest best packer, think it was all those years spent in retail!!, so I just put everything in piles and leave him to it. Liv and I are curled up watching Up (just managed to get through the first 20 mins without the uncontrollable sobbing that usually accompanies it Grin) Sofia has her school trip today and think she is going to explode from excitement - its to a bird sanctuary not my thing at age 5 but she's quite into it Hmm

irishqueen · 14/06/2011 09:04

reastie hugs! Can she not self settle! I'm so laid back with maeve it hurts but I quite often find her asleep on playmat etc! She suffers from third child neglect but I always put her down awake and she low level girns and then is out like a light! Sounds cruel but it saved my sanity! My mother always told me to do that with all three!
I can cope with anything if they sleep! I need me time in evening or I would explode. Try the sleep forun and good luck

suzym1984 · 14/06/2011 09:06

oh reastie thats no good! Poor you, I bet it is so frustrating as you had such a great bedtime routine. Have you tried a dummy? Cot mobile When Harry is fussy I pop a dummy in and put his mobile on for him to look at. he also has a bear to snuggle into. If he doesnt settle I only go in to cries and try the shush pat from the baby whisperer. Appaarently the important thing is that they go to sleep in their cots. Feel free to ignore me tho! Also, try not to get too disheartened, at least she sleep through Envy

ponyo very glad you are still swaddling! H usuallly has an arm free on a morning too, little Houdini!

Well the dreamfeed seems to be doing the trick (kind of) H slept thru til 5am, then I shoved a dummy in and he slept til 6.45! ponyo is it you doing the dummy run through the night too? Its annoying isnt it, but I guess less annoying than doing multiple night feeds!

Oh, and I seem to have disappeared from the stats?! Is someone trying to tell me something?!

jackfrost · 14/06/2011 09:33

Haha, Reastie - I forgot it was a Christmas thing! Girls are doing really well thanks! Getting bigger by the week! Looking at them now you wouldn't really know they were so prem! We are fairly settled into a routine now which makes things so much easier! Night feeds were a real killer! It was taking 45 minutes per baby per feed, every 3 hours, so it took 1.5 hrs to complete a cycle then all started again 1.5 hrs later! Still, been sleeping through for the past 2 months so far far easier! How is Alice doing?

byronicheroine · 14/06/2011 10:36

Welcome back, jack and congrats on your girls sleeping through. I can't imagine what a difference that made! Any chance of some photos of them? Wink
40 weeks sorry about your night - try a nap in the day if you possibly can
irish my mum said the same thing but it's hard when it's a pfb - i'm sure i will change my mind quick smart when/if any more come along!!
wiggles happy holiday, hope you get some time to yourself to dance on a bar ledkr style
We have had a couple of nights where he's up around 3 and 5 and last night he ended up with us again and it felt like he was feeding allllllll night. Am exhausted. The 4 month sleep regression must be well over by now, i think it's just him!
The pool is up and we spent all day yesterday lounging about. It was great - although the rest of this week looks all thunderstormy (we are on the 6th and top floor so not the best place to sit in a bit puddle of water!) - photos are up! Also, we had a cheeky beer and K was way to interested in sucking the top of the bottle - what have I started? Grin

Flippin 'eck wiggles you really are well organised - stats queen!

Hello jack, what was your name before xmas? Congrats on the sleeping through the night, must make a big difference!

byronic I like the pic of you two in the pool, with K gazing wistfully at your beer Grin Hope the knackering sleep habits stop soon, fingers crossed.

reastie I like your napping/hard to switch off theory, I think it makes sense. 3 HOURS to get A to sleep, good god Shock You have my sympathies, def worth a browse on the sleep thread, I've been reading the Clingy Babies thread in dotd and some interesting stuff on there.

suzy am pleased dream feed is working for you - fab :) I'm sort of doing the dummy run, this morning went in at 5.30 then gave up at 5.45 as she was wide awake anyway :)

irish sending you many a poo vibe Wink

jackfrost · 14/06/2011 11:22

Hey Byron, trying to put a pic on but keeps coming up with error message! Will let you know when I manage it!

Ponyo, before Christmas I was Jackinthebump.
