chocoroo squinkie - its a collectable, squishy, tiny figure type thing, am not seeing the appeal myself but girls love them, although Olivia has just brought a decapitated one downstairs Shock am afraid to ask Grin

Didn't think the 3rd set of jabs were as bad as the other two if that helps!!

debka love the photos - S on the bouncer on table is so funny!! They are gorgeous.

40Weeks · 12/06/2011 20:05

Oh choc your next date sounds fab! Very Envy

Jane have everything crossed for you and hope you aren't kept waiting too long.

Glad the party went well wiggles and yes WTF is a squinkie?

ponyo go for it with the cot, I say...m has been in his for ages and he seems to quite like it and knows when he is tired that that's the place to be!

Great weekend here, despite the weather. Got my hair cut yesterday, bit shorter than I hoped for but much more manageable. Followed by night out with dh to a friends wedding do. They got married abroad a while back so this was their uk do. Got VERY tipsy but managed to wear the shoes all night and I danced in them! Keep laughing at the sight of Dh going in to the kebab shop in his tux Grin

After a week of excruciatingly fruitless expressing, M only drank 4oz of his bottle at his dreamfeed, grrrr. I nearly wept as I poured the rest away this morning....

Then today my mum took the boys out and my BIL brought them home so me, dh and m all snuggled in bed for an afternoon nap. God it was lush. A hangover AND a nap, it was lime Sundays of old.

Dh just off to get some wine and choc, you know, the essentials.

ledkr have fun with Ella in Paris.

wiggles you too enjoy your hols. Don't you love going on hole when it's pissing down at home?!

Ds2 has an upset tummy bless him so have to go and see to him now, he's watching a film in our bed as we have to keep changing his nappy. He says his tummy is 'bubbly'

wigglesrock · 12/06/2011 20:11

40Weeks Drinking and dancing - hark at you Grin followed by kebabs mmmmmm. Can't wait until Wed morning although am seriously jealous of Sofia's wardrobe Blush Spent this evening trying to get bits and pieces together, forgot I'd gotten the girls so much and my mum kept buying things for the girls, so could manage 3 weeks away - if only!! Hope Ds2 bubbly tummy calms down Grin

40Weeks · 12/06/2011 20:28

Right just had a nosey at all your pics, reastie that coat is gorgeous but hilarious that dh put it on indoors, 6 months early! ponyo I don't k kw if your pics are new but the one with your LO on your chest made me have a pang of broodiness! Hubbard lovely pics, and great to put faces to names at last.

ILovePonyo · 12/06/2011 20:33

Thanks for cot info - Four4 its nice to hear about A sleeping so well, I know sometimes you feel guilty for saying it (I know I did when dd was sleeping well) but it gives me hope she will improve! Grin at medieval day, oopsy.

40 good to hear M likes his cot - I need to stop being negative about it - dd might love it in there what do I know! Sounds like you've had a fab weekend, hangovers and naps, typical sunday for me over a year ago now... 'bubbly tummy' is cute, hope he feels better soon.

choc this is the travel cot I have (we didn't pay £50 for it, a mate did us a deal Wink Wink) I got it out today and the bloody thing is massive - it might not fit in our room! Might just go for it with the cot. dd had her 3rd lot of jabs last week and agree with wiggles - whilst the actual jabs are horrible the aftermath seemed much easier this time - good luck! Champagne tasting eh get you - which restaurant is it at?

wiggles glad work is done and dusted, what a relief - when are you off abroad? Squinkies Confused thats a new one! Enjoy the cake :)

debka · 12/06/2011 20:35

Hey everyone, missed you all this weekend Blush

Sounds like you've all been off having fun. Think ledkr has buggered off to Paris without saying goodbye! (sniff)

Agree with wiggles, third lot of jabs were a doddle.

Went to a local-ish Craft and Gift Fayre (I cringe to spell it that way) today so DH could have a nosy at the competition. Was absolute shite, looked crap and was badly organised. DH went round grinning because his are so much better! Imy had a brilliant time though, playing in the playground and went on a proper big zip line too!

Bit annoyed at my darling sister today. She is lovely and normally visits quite often (only lives 10 mins away), and Imy is v fond of her. Anyway, she came up today to visit her grandma who's come to look after my mum for a bit (nearing the end of chemo). I hijacked her and got her to come and say hi- asked her why she'd not been- apparently sometimes I'm a bit 'off'. WTF? I have 2 kids in nappies, one of which feeds 3x a night!!!

40Weeks · 12/06/2011 21:01

Sorry deb meant to say the pic of S in her door bouncer made me chuckle, with the table underneath. Bless her.

What you mean you aren't on tiptop hostess mode when family come to visit?! Shame on you Wink Grin

ledkr · 12/06/2011 21:07

Hi just come to bed to get a bit of kip cos cab coming at 3am Shock have been in bits today about Dilly, she has been so cute and cuddly its untrue and when i sing to her she has started watching my lips and moving hers oooooo shes so scrummy. My sis told me at this age its out of sight out of mind so im ok now.Im sure ive forgotten something tho,it horrible.
Im hoping to pop in at nights when Ela is sleeping so il bid you so lomg and speak soon, take care all xxxxxx

ILovePonyo · 12/06/2011 21:10

Grin 40weeks another broody one - oh dear!

deb erm wtf indeed at your sis - did you tell her why you might be 'off' some days?! I am going to be one of those annoying people now and ask if she has children - I used to hate it when people would say that like I wouldn't understand as I didn't have kids, but actually I wouldn't have had much of a clue Blush - hope you're feeling alright about it now. Also hope your mum is ok.

just heard dd crying, listened at the door and think she's gone back to sleep phew. My nighttime routine now includes hovering at the door when we put her down about 7.30, I take my make up off in the bathroom and generally faff just so I can listen to her and check she's ok Blush My skin will be fabbo soon!

ledkr hope you and Ella have a fantastic break, I'm sure you will and get as much sleep as you can and more!

ILovePonyo · 12/06/2011 21:13

ah thats reassuring about the out of sight... ledkr, how cute about Dils, imagine how happy she'll be to see you when you get back (not trying to make you feel guilty there Grin)

Tickets, money, passports (a la Ab Fab) ... Have fun!

irishqueen · 12/06/2011 22:15

wiggles or reastie giz a quick synopsis of what i have missed and bring me back into the fold?

tadjennyp · 12/06/2011 22:21

Have a lovely time ledkr, Dilly will be absolutely fine with your dh! Mine has been away 3 times already and S has a great relationship with his Dad.

Glad Sofia's party went well wiggles and have a lovely time on holiday too!

You do all have such adorable babies.

S is back up to feeding at least 12 times a day so I feel like my boobs are dropping off. He had his second lot of jabs on Friday (all different here) and weighs over 15lbs now. He's only 18 weeks so will try and keep him going for the next 3 weeks (while my Mum and Dad are here) but will think about weaning him after that if he carries on guzzling!

Fingers x'd Jane.

Sorry about your dsis deb, I'm a bit off at the moment too, if it helps! It can be chuffing hard with little ones.

I'm not feeling broody but I am quite sad at how quickly he's growing up! Shock

tadjennyp · 12/06/2011 22:23

Hello Irishqueen!

Ledkr is off to Paris, Wiggles off to Ibiza and all babies are cute! That's the shortest synopsis I can give you. Sorry you are feeling down. Hope all bugs have left the building and things start looking up very soon.

irishqueen · 12/06/2011 22:37

with you on the boob thing jenn! Maeve is on a feeding frenzy after pukefest2011! she has a favourite side so im now lopsided
thanks for the updates
can i have permission to punch the ubermum? she really made me feel like a bag of dung? plus ex husbando is ripping my knitting

can anyone guess my eldest dd's name (wiggles your out for yer irish connections)
begins with a C

tadjennyp · 12/06/2011 23:45

Punching ubermum would leave her feeling even more smug, irishqueen. Ignore ex-husbands, that's why they're exes! Clodagh? Love that name but not Irish so wouldn't have felt right using it!

irishqueen · 12/06/2011 23:53

close but no cigar! that was nearly Maeves name lol

janedoe25 · 13/06/2011 07:33

Morning girls!

hi irish sorry to hear you are feeling down, hope all the kiddies are feeling better now. I have no idea what your dd's name is.

ledkr absence makes the heart grow fonder, Dilly will be perfectly fine with her daddy, i know it must be hard to leave her but you are doing if for the best reasons. Ella will love her Mummy time, hope you guys have the best time ever!

40weeks glad you had a well deserved good night out!

debka sorry to hear your sister is being a bit crap, must be something in the water, im having sister issues too!

Thanks everyone for the good luck vibes, hopefully i don't need it!

for4me you have made me Blush, but thank you, such a nice thing to say.

wiggles im glad Sofia's party went well and Grin at the decapitated squinkie.

Sorry if i have missed anyone out!

Had a nice wee day yesterday, mil wanted to introduce me to some of her family who had donated to Zoe's page but i said no Shock I couldn't be bothered with the sympathetic looks and all the "how are yous". Oops Grin

Hope you all have a good day and sorry for the epic post Grin

wigglesrock · 13/06/2011 08:20

irishqueen hope you are all vom free Grin If no-one guesses I'll give it a go

jane were you afraid you'd get the head tilt and strange patting motion, whilst asking you how shit you feel? Smile

tad very succinct synopsis Grin It all feels like more at the time Grin

Am determined to actually do something constructive re getting organised for holiday - so will probably just fanny around sniffing folding Annas' ridiculously cute clothes. Mr W has done his bit - he's organised playlists for the i-pod Hmm

janedoe25 · 13/06/2011 09:15

Ah wiggles thats the very one, every second person seems to adopt that as a gretting these days! Bet they would get a shock if i was brutally honest and told them how i feel instead of the "i'm fine".

I see your DH has his priorities in order Grin.

janedoe25 · 13/06/2011 09:21

Oh irish my gues is Caoimhe?

Deliaskis · 13/06/2011 09:25

Hello mums,

Hope you're all doing OK - have just about caught up on what I missed over the weekend, ovely cute pics lots of you!

irishqueen sorry you're feeling crappy, hope you're now seeing the back of the bugs and that things start to look up.

We had a weekend away at my sister's for her DD's 3rd birthday party. It's a good 4 hours drive away, we've done it once before so I wasn't worried about that and the journey down on Friday went well. Got a bit stressed out Friday night tho because C was asleep in the downstairs office room and there was 6 adults getting slowly sozzled (and loud) in the very next room. I was a bit anxious that she would be woken up (was just checking camera, not actually doing or saying anything about it), and kept getting told to chill out by (D)BIL and that 'a bit of noise never did a baby any harm', and then Saturday, my neice had gone for a sleep and I started playing some nursery rhymes on the piano (v quietly, electric piano on volume 1), niece was asleep in literally another 'wing' of their massive house, and he came rushing in yelling 'ssshhhhhhh, DD is asleep'. I got a bit grrrrrrr at the hypocracy TBH.

Anyway, all was going swimmingly until C had a massive reflux attack mid afternoon Saturday. Real horrid agony cries and unconsolable. Just horrid, it's been weeks since she was like that so think her meds need upping again as she has gained a lot of weight.

Then on the journey home yesterday, tyre blow out on the M6 toll, had to wait for AA with screaming baby and pissing rain outside. Not a nice time. then C yelled the rest of the way home (another hour and a half). Bless her though, she was just fed up of the car seat. The minute we opened the door when we got home, and got her out of the seat, she was lovely big smiles and playing and lots of fun, she must have forgiven us very quickly!

Anyway, sorry for long post, just wanted to recount our not quite textbook weekend away!

Dx

ILovePonyo · 13/06/2011 09:29

Morning morning, quick post while dd is sleeping.

irishqueen Shock at pukefest, sounds horrible. Sorry to hear you're feeling down, who is this annoying ubermum and what has she been saying?!
Am rubbish at guessing names (as reastie can confirm) - I'll let wiggles have a go though :)

tadj yikes at the feeding, and irish - poor boobs Grin

jane don't blame you for not wanting to meet mil family (wiggles put it well), feel pleased for you that you said no, sometimes you can feel a bit pressured with that kind of stuff so good for you!

wiggles good luck getting organised, am I right in thinking you are another list freak like me?! Do yourself a nice big list, it'll make you feel much better I promise Wink When do you go, forgotten sorry.

right madam is stirring, oh last night was much better sleep wise phew! Am meeting some friends today that I used to work with who both have little ones, in the park so it'll probably rain Hmm

debka · 13/06/2011 09:45

They do the same to my mum, jane, her stock reply is: I have good days and bad days, and today is a ..... day. Generally good cos if it's bad she's in bed. Once or twice she's scared someone who obviously doesn't care how she is (like a telesales person) by telling them how she really is (ie dying), then feels really guilty afterwards.

ponyo thanks for asking- she's just had her 5th dose of chemo and has one more to go, and is basically totally out of commission and living in bed, suffering various vile side effects. HOWEVER she had scan a few weeks ago which showed that the new cancer on her lung had almost disappeared and the bone cancer had greatly reduced. So it makes is all worthwhile.

No, my sister doesn't have children. I can't wait till she has kids and I can say to her sorry not coming to visit and help with your newborn- YOU'RE A BIT OFF!!

IRISHQUEEN I'VE MISSED YOU!!!!! Sorry to hear you've had such a crappy time. Trying to think of anything that's actually important that's happened... no, nothing! I know no Irish names, all I can think of is Clare but I think that's because of County Clare!! And I probably spelt that wrong too!

wiggles how about alphabetising your hoilday reading?

debka · 13/06/2011 09:49

x post delia that journey back is my worst nightmare, well done for surviving it.

reastie · 13/06/2011 11:20

hello ladies

delia what an Shock week end for you. Sounds like you should have this week to recover Wink . Poor you and C :(

irish welcome back, I'm rubbish with irish name guessing, all I can think is ciara but no idea if that's even irish Confused

well, hair massively falling out here too - feels like almost clumps every time i wash my hair Shock and finding hairs everywhere at home (had to pull a few away from near aliced mouth/hands Blush ). I wonder how long the hair thing lasts as if it keeps on I will hardly have any left Hmm

Was it ponyo that said they vacumed by the door to send lo to sleep? That did make me Grin

wiggles glad the party went well

jane how long till the 2ww is up? must be the 1ww now surely

deb I'm so glad the chemo seems to be working on your mum even if the side effects are terrible.

thinking of needto hopefully moving house today

Baby massage class today - was due to start one a month ago but it got cancelled. Was it ems who went to a massage class and wasn't allowed to massage lo as they cried when she asked permission to massage? Shock - hope that doesn't bleeding well happen to me given how much I have to pay for these massage classes

What are people plotting for fathers day this week end? We will be decorating the sitting room before the carpet comes next week Hmm but I've got DH a i love daddy type baby book to read with alice, a cd of nursery rhymes as he keeps wanting to sing to alice but can't remember the words to anything and a bird box (before you think that sounds a little odd - he has his own mini wood he's cultivating and wants lots of wildlife there Grin ). I've also had a photo card made for my dad/fil and some nice photos of alice printed as for mothers day i gave mum/mil a photo album of piccies of alice so the new photos they can add to the albums Grin
