WOAH - just realised how epic that post was Blush - see, this is what happens when I don't get time to post very much at the weekend Wink

Ahh Fathers Day - think I'll whisk Mr W away somewhere hot, sunny, where you can have a bit of a swim, he can spend some time with the girls, oops we'll already be there Grin

As reastie would say only 2 more sleeps, actually its 1.5, as we need to be up at the airport for 4am on Wed morning, not even that could annoy me.

The problem is I've spend the past 3 weeks making lists just haven't done anything with them Blush Oh and Liv just asked me "how many weeks till Christmas?" Shock

Delia sorry weekend was a bit stressful, esp. journey at end, well if you coped with that you can do anything!!

jane [cocks head to side like an over eager dog] How are you in yourself? Grin Am seconding your guess in Irishqueens dd1 name.

reastie · 13/06/2011 12:00

ohh, thought this might cheer some of you up, remember when we were pg and at the same time lily allen lost her baby and we were all really :( ? just read she's pg again Grin

wiggles 4am?! Shock

delia what a nightmare you had! I would have been freaking big style!

reastie yip 1 week now, if AF stays away i will be testing at the weekend, hopefully give DF the best fathers day present ever.......

On Friday we are going down to Staffordshire for the anual SANDS memorial service which is on sat, im looking forward to it. it is so comforting to be in the company of other bereaved parents.

wiggles [cocks head to the side] and says im fine!

Four4me · 13/06/2011 13:05

Jane I just gasped and welled up when you said "hopefully give df the best fathers day present ever" that's worse than cocking my head to the side!!

Deliaskis · 13/06/2011 13:16

Grrrr I knew it was all going too well...estate agent is now saying they are still due commission even though our private buyer had no idea out house was on the market until we contacted her via note through the door as hers wasn't on the market either). Now can't find the agency Ts&Cs to read the small print and figure out why on earth they think they're entitled to anything!

[sorry for totally irrelevant post, but seriously, grrrrrr!]

Dx

chocoroo · 13/06/2011 14:37

Hello all,

Delia Rubbish about Estate Agent. They're always rubbish anyway, but you might have to be creative to get out of paying them.

Jane I have everything crossed for you, if not this month then I'm sure it'll be soon!

Reastie I'm totally thrilled for Lily Allen. As soon as I saw pics of her on Saturday I said to my mum I thought she was pregnant. I really hope it all goes well this time. And am currently stressing over Father's Day...popped on to Amazon to try and find something DP might like but ended up buying the new version of Take That's album for myself...

wiggles and ledkr Happy holidays! Am v v jealous. I'd love to go on a sun holiday but DP hates flying, beaches and resorts so I have no hope. We're off to the Lake District which will be nice but not exactly expecting good weather!

Deb Sorry about your sister...you'd think family could be a bit more understanding!

Irish Your bug sounds rank. Please keep it up there :)

Tad 12 times a day. Twelve. Times. A. Day. WTF?! Is that normal for BF babies? Almost makes me glad BF went horribly wrong here!

americanexpat · 13/06/2011 14:44

jane - I have my fingers crossed for you. I hope you have good news this weekend!

My hair is falling out in masses too. I don't think the bathtub drain will ever be the same.

I thought L was a nightmare last week but he's taken it to a whole new level now. He's so tired but refuses to sleep and the screaming has reached epic levels. Yesterday was the first day I really didn't enjoy being a mum. Sad I finally settled him in his swing after an hour of crying, with the nature sounds going at top volume. Just in time for him to wake up hungry.

I saw the news about Lily Allen yesterday. I hope everything goes smoothly for her, she's had a such a rough time. Sad

janedoe25 · 13/06/2011 17:02

delia i hate estate agents, i hope you find a loophole to get out of paying them.

american Hope you are ok? Do you think L is comming down with something?

It is fab news about Lily allen,I hope she gets to take her baby home screaming and kicking.

tadjennyp · 13/06/2011 18:21

Haha chocoroo! It can be normal for a four month old bf baby but he had his jabs on Friday so could just have been a comfort thing. It was handy on holiday though as I could just whip my boobs out whenever and wherever, including various car parks and didn't have to worry about bottles. [phew emoticon]

Sorry about estate agents Delia, you can get some crap ones. Hope you get out of the fee. Shock at your drive home too.

Fingers crossed for the 1ww now Jane. So pleased for Lily Allen too.

Good news about your Mum's chemo Deb. I hope she is feeling better soon.

Hope your packing has gone well wiggles!

Wow, you're organised for Father's Day reastie! My Dad will be here then too and I have done nothing so far. In my defence neither dh or my Dad ever want anything.

Hope everyone is having a good day.

reastie · 13/06/2011 18:46

delia I feel Angry for you re: estate agents. Do they have t&c on their web site? Could you take the house off of the market from them and say you've changed your mind and then do the deal with the other peeps?

Forgot to say - I'm getting very adventorous and did it in costa coffe yesterday Wink Grin

baby massage was OK, but I was a bit Hmm at how disorganised it was and how little I actually learnt given how pricey it is. I await next week in the hope it's a bit better. Wasn't impressed it was up 2 lots of stairs - had to lug car seat, bad with towels, hand bag and changing bag up with a dodgy back Confused . The class had some lovely ladies in though and they were all teeny cute babies that were only about 8 weeks [broody]

americanexpat :( to screams

choc good move getting the take that album Grin

Blush sorry debka i keep forgetting to say that im glad the chemo is helping your mum, she sounds like such a brave woman, i bet you are so proud of her!

irishqueen · 13/06/2011 19:13

Jane wins (its Caoimhe) >>>so got everything crossed for the weekend missus
Thanks for welcoming me back laydeees!
American could it be teething? Maeve the rave is dribbling, screaming and ramming her fist down her gub! proper meltdown in tesco today .... wheres my angel baby? Shes a sore arse as well (never had that before yet hasnt pooed for 2 days dear god)
debka your mum sounds so brave as are you!
Delia do not start me on estate agents dirty moneygrabbin
dp and me are both selling up and its doing my box in!

whats good to drug babies for teething! C and J sailed through that stage. Bought some dentinox teethin gel but she just eats the stuff!

stickin up a few more pics of jedward Maeve and other 2

Wiggles jeaaaaalous! however im a redhead so sun holds no interest for me (would bloody go in a heartbeat) i am envious of your list making> spending half week in one location and half in the other and being disorganised means i quite often have nothing to wear or half a makeup bag or wipes and nae nappies! the ability to make a wee list would sort me out

suzym1984 · 13/06/2011 19:49

Hi Ladies!

delia how annoyin of the estate agents!! Deffo have a look through the small print, I thought they could only claim commission if they had introduced you to the buyer, or the buyer had enquired through them.

deb so sorry to hear about your mum, but glad you have had some 'good' news.

jane I have got EVERYTHING crossed for you, you are an amazing mummy and that little bean will be so lucky Grin

ledka have a fab time in Paris. DH and I were there last year for our anniversary and loved every minute.

reastie shame about baby massage, Im sure it will get better.

Sorry for any posts I have missed!

Well.....today i have turned over a new leaf and tried to get organised! I ahve been following the baby whisperer routine to the letter today, and it has been quite good actually! Going to dreamfeed as the book suggests and hope that H sleeps through. I am trying to night "wean" him, as when he wakes at 2am it is out of habit and I think I am reinforcing it every time I feed him, so I am not trying to settle him without wipping a boob out. Wish me luck!

ponyo are you still swaddling?? Dont leave me behind mind!

emski any more weetabix for your LO? I gave H some baby rice at tea time in an attempt to fill him up a bit before bed. he seems to really love it!

Emski76 · 13/06/2011 20:13

Lots if posts to catch up on!
Deb, positive news for your mum, she sounds very brave
Jane, I think you have this whole thread crossing our fingers and praying for you! Zoe would be so proud of you
Reastie, I did baby massage, it was through the hv so only cost £1 a week, which was good cos I never got to join in! Also loving your Fathers Day presents, very thoughtful. Ive got dh and FIL mugs with photo of the boys on. Dh knows as I had to ask him to help me order them!
Expat, i hope L improves tomorrow. A screaming unhappy baby can really get you down!
Irish, Maeves hair is wild! Brilliant pics! Welcome back, hope all well now
Suzy, Noah has been having a quarter mashed banana with one feed and quarter weetabix at 5/6 pmish in between feeds. He cried for the weetabix tonight and wolfed it down! Am going to buy some porridge tomorrow as think the weetabix might get boring for him. I don't intend to move onto other foods for a few weeks yet though. Noah didn't seem to like baby rice when I gave it to him before but might try it again.
Wiggles, if I don't post again before you go on your hols, have a fab time!

ILovePonyo · 13/06/2011 20:14

Hi all,

delia your weekend away sounds... interesting to say the least. Hypocracy indeed from BIL, what a prat. Your car journey sounds like an absoulute nightmare - well done for surviving it! Grin And now the estate agent on top of everything else, can only secong irish there and say money grabbing bastards, good luck.

deb your mum is definitely a brave lady, as are you, really hope she isn't suffering horrible side effects etc for too long. Thats a good stock reply she has to the "how are you" question - you could pinch that jane? I do think 'don't ask if you don't want to hear the answer' but that might be a bit harsh.

reastie don't know if I vac'd by the door but today I did use the hairdryer to dry my hair for ages with dd on the floor next to me as she was crying and it chilled her out Grin Usually I just tie my hair up and let it dry itself! Got dp a card with dd's piccy on and a book for fathers day.

american hope you're ok, that crying sounds difficult to deal with :( Think we might have the same swing is it green with a lion cushion?!

suzy my swaddling buddy I am still swaddling, fear not! She managed to wiggle her arm out the other night though little bugger Confused Well done with baby whisperer, I've read it once but need to have another go as think I was too tired for it to go in haha.

Here is my ridiculously exciting news for this evening ladies.... da da daaa... dd is currently asleep (and swaddled Wink) in her COT in her OWN ROOM!! Eek. Just decided to go for it, she went to sleep as normal (bit of fussing then settled) so heres hoping she's ok.
Just dreading having to get up and go the whole 10 or so footsteps to her room at 5am to put the dummy in as I usually do, and then back and forth ten times probably. Thanks especially to 40weeks and four4 for reassuring words re: cot earlier.

Hi to anyone I've missed :)

ILovePonyo · 13/06/2011 20:17

irish love the photos, especially the one in the bath - cute! Your elder dd has the most beautiful hair, is it naturally like that?! Jealous! Of course M's is something spectacular too Grin

WeAreBorg · 13/06/2011 20:33

aargh, every time i try to catch up i manage to read the posts then end up doing something else and then can't remember who said what, apologies if i address the wrong people!
irish yuk glad the vomorrhea is over. also Blush how do you pronounce DDs name?
ledkr and wiggles hope you have great holidays, not jealous at all....
ponyo i do exactly the same thing re hovering (not hoovering) upstairs waiting to make sure N is asleep, I too am spot free and have been painting nails whilst listening to his snoring
debka gosh you have a lot on, all the best for your mum, and hope S decides one feed tonight is the way forward.
jane good luck! hope bean is burrowing in as we speak.

expat are you okay? you must be feeling dreadful. Nate has been doing surprise screaming where he stays awake for AGES as he is so nosy, then remembers he is knackered and just yells, rocking/feeding etc all infuriate him more, pram still works so i am on permanent stand-by with my coats and keys by the door so i can leg it. obviously this is not the same as you but it is a random new thing.

WeAreBorg · 13/06/2011 20:41

whoops , this is wobblybum owing to my intense shredding, i now am so toned and attractive i felt calling myself wobbly was fraudulent.

disclaimer: i have done half of level one once and eaten a giant toblerone over 3 days Blush

forgot to says delia your car journey would have had me in tears. we were in a random house swap situation a while back, i told the estate agents that i had changed my mind and we weren't selling. as it happened it fell through anyway (our fault, i still feel awful about it).
reastie i have also done it in costa, think i am getting a reputation there...
we have started baby massage too, can't remember who was fuming about zombie mums but i am the only one without a bugaboo at this class and am shunned.

WanderingSheep · 13/06/2011 20:49

Hi everyone!

Sorry that I haven't posted for a while - I see that you've all missed me so much Hmm Not Sad Grin.

It's taken me a while to catch up and I've only skim read but...

Jane I'm so excited for you for ttc and i have everything crossed for you for the weekend!

Happy belated birthday wiggles! I meant to say re DD1's name - she is Isabel Sophia so you have good taste Smile. I want to come to Ibiza

Ledkr hope you have a great time in gay Paree, give Mickey Mouse a kiss from me!

Was it Ponyo and MizK that met up? Sorry, I forget Blush Hope you had a lovely time.

I don't think any of you are in my neck of the woods Sad.

I can't log in to MN on my iPhone, although I can still post Confused so I haven't been able to look at any new pics. I'll have to have a nosy next time I go on the computer!

ILovePonyo · 13/06/2011 21:07

Haha thanks to wobbly WeAre I have just realised reastie you thought I was hoovering/vacuming outside the door when dd was alseep - I mean hovering around ie loitering Grin and taking up my make up/doing face masks in the bathroom. Glad its not just me who's going to have fabulous skin then WeAre - this thread is v reassuring re: funny habits :) Ps care to expand on the name?!

Hi wandering - hope you are well :) Twas me and MizK that met - was very nice too. Whereabouts are you? Anywhere near Nottingham Wink

dd still asleep in her cot and I have a beer and Game of Thrones is on now - got to go!

irishqueen · 13/06/2011 21:20

hey wobbly borg!! where abouts are you? Caoimhe is pronounced Keeva. tis fairly common in Norn Iron but not met another one over in Scotland
Ponyo ta much ... her hair is naturally mental like that and she insists on removing all bobbles clips etc however will tolerate gaudy hairbands> She had no hair till she was one so im hoping Maeve hasnt peaked at 3 months and ends up baldy like DP
wiggles your dead organised ??? im thinking a first birthday meetup?? Plenty time for you to make a list lol
jane im very near you fri sat sun mon! coffee still on offer if you feel like a good blether

irishqueen · 13/06/2011 21:21

oops hey wandering i missed you!

WanderingSheep · 13/06/2011 21:26

I'm in Lancashire Ponyo so not near Nottingham. I think a couple of hours or so away!

Oh, I meant to share a tip...
Delia, you mentioned that your DD hates tummy time, L does too but I wasn't too worried as DD1 hardly had any tummy time but still crawled etc. However, I went to a group on Friday ( a surestart one that is similar to tumble tots) and a parent helper that I know put L over a long shaped cushion on her tummy. Sort of put the cushion under her chest with her arms over it and she loved it! It meant that she was still on her tummy but not flat on the floor. She's still strengthening her neck and back. She was there for ages having a good old nosy!

WanderingSheep · 13/06/2011 21:27

Aww, thanks IrishQueen Grin
