Much better night last night compared to the previous night's screaming/only settling on me. He woke for a feed at 12.30ish when DH came to bed, then needed brief settling at 3.15, then back to sleep till 7.30am! That's far more like it. DH's turn for a lie in this morning but I was happy to get up after such a good night.

Am trying to buy a Maclaren stroller on eBay. They keep getting away from me but have now somehow put in a max bid of £17 on one which actually looks pretty damn ropey in the picture. It's only really for our holiday but I would be better to spend more on something decent we'll use for ages than get a horrid manky second hand one. Hopefully I'll get outbid as usual!

They seem to go for £50-£60 easily even second hand if they are in London. Maybe I should just buy a new one for £80 or whatever and resell it when I'm done!

CakeandRoses · 29/05/2011 09:17

morning all,

sorry for crap nights/early starts.

Ours pretty much slept thru (one brief wake-up a piece) but then A woke at 6am Angry briefly followed by F. The good news is that he's being great at going back to play in his room til his lie-in machine gives sun now tho.

are any other babies going thru a growth spurt? A's suddenly wanted to up her milk feeds. i'm going with it for now.

dh couldn't find a decent family room in a london hotel (maybe cos of the football?) so we're just daytripping there today. nice weather.

really pleased your evening out went well chul, hopefully this is the intro you needed Smile

oh and TEST, TEST, TEST!!!! I'll buy and pg test and send it to you if you wait much longer!

how're you feeling now wss?

Can you explain again about your pill cock-up mlic?

woodlands i can justify most things now with the thought 'I'll just sell it afterwards on ebay'. The cheekiest ones are were i bought things on ebay, used them for two babies and then sold them for what i paid Shock.

Well the make up is at half 12 and will take nearly an hour, Ive then got to drive back to my mums which in total will take about half an hour so Ill only have about an hour to get into my dress and smoke calm my nerves.

D is going to be with DP all day before the ceremony, then during/after/evening he will prob get passed around everyone!

WhatSheSaid · 29/05/2011 09:32

mlic night 2 has just started - she had just one daytime sleep again and woke after about an hour so was pretty tired by bedtime. I am just hoping hoping hoping she sleeps till after 5. Anything after that I can cope with but I'm really struggling otherwise.

I jsut thought of another "Things that remind me of people on this thread" - I just watched Downton Abbey and I now always think of tsc because her cousin is in it.

Dh you're getting married on a Friday then? I only know it's a Friday because my birthday is the 18th and I know it's a Saturday this year. It's so soon, you must be v excited. Grin at mlic sayign waiting around for 3 hours would have resulted in her getting pissed - I went to my old flatmate's wedding and she was trolleyed at the service, it was an outdoor one so quite relaxed but she was toooooo relaxed, def too much champagne beforehand.

Oh and mlic I would have been petrified at having to get married in front of 200 people too - that's why we eloped Grin.

I'm feeling OK cake but I'm feeling a bit fluey and my shoulder is aching and my boobs are still quite sore from not feeding anymore so I really hope it's not going to be some last-gasp dose of mastitis or something. I'm still sticking cabbage leaves in to help!

I don't think the early mornings are helping my general energy levels and it's getting close to the darkest time of year here so it can be a bit gloomy. Thankfully it's been a really mild autumn so it's still quite warm.

It's a bank holiday next w/end here so we're going away for that.

Tsc how are things with you and dp today?

memphis83 · 29/05/2011 09:48

morning everyone!!
tsc sorry about the situation at home, I agree with you about the lies, it would be better to be truthful than him lie to you, I hope he realises you mean it and he goes to a group!!
viksam look on ebay for the extention kits for the icandy, dont think its that badly priced, how many weeks are you now? how long do you plan on leaving it until you tell people?
chulita I hope you are going to test today!!
dh are you smoking again now then?
needle sorry I didnt get back to you, I was dying most of the day from too much alcohol the night before!!
mlic I give L soya milk for his porridge.

dh has gone out on his bike for the morning so Im just catching up on here, L has screamed for 2 hours and now is lying in his chair too exhausted to move or cry but wont actually go to sleep! He is so constipated, when he passes a nugget it is tiny but stinks the house out!
Had a great night friday I drank way too much wine the my friend told me to get on the pints like the old days so there I am dressed up swigging pints! I still managed Flabelos eithout puking though! My waist has gone up 2 inches , so I will measure it again in 2 weeks an hopefull see a result! I have signed up to another machine too, in 15 mins I was on it I was dripping sweat! I can go mad at the gym for an hour and I wouldnt sweat a drip so I was impressed!

tsc so sorry you're in this situation. It does seem like strange drink habit but the lies is what woulc get me too. I can't stand being lied to. Hope for your own sanity he can start to be truthful and you can work from there
menphis good woman with the pints!!
Chul you have to test soon!! I dunno how you can wait!!

malibustac · 29/05/2011 11:10

Chulita please test Grin

Memphis go you with the pints. Are the flabelos worth it? Our sonbed shop is offering them for 28 days for £29 just wondering if I should book them.

Wss hop lo has a longer lie for you. Its funny how lack of sleep affects us.

Viks a lotus? [Shock] lucky bugger Smile. Glad your ok how long till the scan? R still has the cold and is a moaning minnie so her dads took her out to give me a break but now J's just threw up ggrrr.

Dh your day sounds lovely can't wait to see your pics.

Tsc how's thing today?

Bit of advice needed R has went off solids I'm thinking its because she's not been well but I'm wondering if I should try not giving her as many bottles or do I go with it?

She usually has about 3 8oz per day but has went up to 5 8oz so I think she may be filling up on milk?

CakeandRoses · 29/05/2011 12:32

So mlic if you are pg, are you saying the deed happened during the pill month or the pill-free time, iyswim?

And how long ago was your last period?

OP posts:
CakeandRoses · 29/05/2011 12:36

Eek wss that does sound like it could be mastitis. Any lumps. Lots of mega hot baths are what has helped me but not sure if that'll stimulate your milk more?

Don't skimp on painkillers/anti-inflammatories as they'll help reduce the swelling which will hopefully combat the mastitis.

Is G having bottles instead now?

mylife D was up late this morning so i also strung him out till 12.20 and am also crossing my fingers that he has a nice long sleep, two hours im hoping!
Im feeling shattered today so i may kip too.
memphis I think im about 9wks, im defo gona wait till my scan but i may also wait till the downs test results are back too.
stac he's gona sell it i think, which is ashame as thats what everyone expects him to do but he doesnt use it that often any more. I used to love going out in it, we went down to st ives in it when i was 6 months pregnant, was tricky to get in and out of but great fun, i miss going in it loads.
I hope R picks up on her solids soon, maybe she just doesnt feel like eating right now, im sure she will be ok in a few days, she will let u know what she wants im sure.
nap time me thinks!

malibustac · 29/05/2011 13:59

Thanks mlic when she was out dP got her lunch which she ate so at least that's better. Should I only give her 6oz bottles? I give her water too.
We were never advised to change J's bottles but he's always had a big appetite so it never affected him.

Why do they want dh to sell it viks?

Well, I tested and it was negative. Not to worry, I'd love to be pg but without af being back I have no idea what's going on.
mlic I hope something happens with you one way or the other, it's rubbish not knowing. I just know I'm waiting for af half hoping I'm pg and I'm going to be let down big-style with a mega period. I always get 7 days heavy so I'm really not looking forward to it although it would be nice to know what's going on!
S slept from 6 til 5.30 which was good but early morning not so great.

malibustac · 29/05/2011 15:24

That's what I'll do mlic thanks

Chulita sorry about bfn is af not back due to bf?

I think so stac, I got it back at 9 months with L but not yet with S. I'm usually very regular and with L I didn't get any hint of it, it just popped up one day so this is just annoying. I bought cheapo tests from asda so I can try again next week if nothing's going on.

stac I pay £30 for a months worth of daily 10 mins blasts, I feel like Ive done a work out, woman ive seen there a few times has been doing it 3 weeks gone from a 18 to a 16 lost 5 pound and I think 6 inches, its not about weightloss more about shaking the fat off, it really does feel like it is pulling it off, even your face wobbles, the 1st time I got terrible stitch and had to get off, why dont you pay for one session to give it a go, my friend is tiny and just wanted to tone up and its for rid of all ger cellulite, I would be there a long time for that to happen to me!!

kkfairybrains · 29/05/2011 17:11

Sorry about that chul:(
Mlic it's the worst just not knowing
