cake I just think of memphis when we see lambs cos the first time L really got close to lambs was when we met up at that farm and L absolutely hated them! mlic's secret postings are just that her dh doesn't like photos on fb and doesn't know she's on mn - my DH was very similar until recently.

I'm going round to that lady's house around 7.30, got chocolate and wine. I'm tempted to just not turn up except then I couldn't show my face at the tuesday group. DH is keen for me to go so I can meet people, it's just around the corner though so I can just run home when if I get scared.

kkfairy £78!!!!! That's how much my hair cut/colour cost this morning Shock I didn't ask beforehand cos I knew I wouldn't bother. Looks fabulous but I can't be paying that every few months! (does look really nice though :) )

CakeandRoses · 28/05/2011 14:59

£78 Shock Mind you, my cut alone costs £46 i think but kk's right, it's something you wear every day so it's a worthwhile thing to spend cash on. it's not so bad for me tho as my hair doesn't need cutting that often (tis long and holds the style for ages and doesn't really get split ends), i'm v Hmm about justifying paying a hairdresser to colour it all the time.

i have kk's hair philosophy about teeth. i've spent thousands on my teeth over the years and it always surprises me that more people with the money don't do the same.

do you like the woman who's invited you chul? def think it's worth you making the effort to go. you come across very funny and likeable so i'm sure it's just finding the right opportunity in which to charm your victims people.

Tsc really sorry its come to this thought dp was sorting himself out. You do seem very calm, maybe going will show him how serious you are. When do you plan on going? Thinking of you dude!

£78 I am in shock my cut & colour is £30 that's in her house, think kk will faiint she's cheaper than my hairdresser. Is it gorgeous chu? Get pics up of the new hair?

Think I am becoming a skin flint but I have never spent that muh on my hair.

Cakes I would love to get teeth whitening done just don't have the money for it.

Got my first job rejection letter today, even though I knew I wasn't getting it, it still felt crap. Oh well on the brightside its nearly wine o'clock!! That's something that makes me think of you mlic

WhatSheSaid · 28/05/2011 18:23

Shock sorry to hear it's come to this tsc. And of course he should be the one to go if anyone does - it's your house anyway, isn't it? And you have a teenager doing GCSE's! Btw K's prom outfit soudns great, I wore something similar to my sister's (very traditional) wedding when I was 17, my poor sister, there was everyone in Laura Ashley outfits and me in tye-dyed leggings, Docs, mohican...

Hope you can enjoy the match a bit even with all this going on...

My master plan to improve G's sleep by putting her on one daytime sleep resulted in her not waking at all through the night but she still woke up wide awake for the day at 4.45am. It's a slight improvement I suppose Hmm

Needle · 28/05/2011 18:37

TSC, i'm so sorry. I hope he does sort himself out and goes to a meeting.

chulita my cut and blowdry was 65 pounds. I hate to think how much a cut and colour would have been!

stac bad news about the job, i'm sure you'll find something soon

Sorted the pram problem- we got an I candy peach, so that we can extend if necessary. All the colour options are bl**dy awful though.

Chulita · 28/05/2011 18:50

tsc that sucks big hairy balls, it really does. Fwiw I agree with you though, he's broken your trust, he's lied to you and he's hiding a serious problem and that would make me wary. Rubbish that you all have to up-sticks and move out though. He needs to man up and start sorting this out.

stac the last two plain cuts I've had cost £34 and I felt so guilty, before that I'd never spent more than £15 on a cut. When she said £78 this morning I about keeled over in shock. She said she'd put what I had done in the computer so 'it was there for next time' Hmm That's the 3rd hairdresser in this city and they've all cost over 30 smackers for just the cut so I think I'm going to look for a mobile one now. I can only get my head around it because my grandad gives me £20 a month so I'll say he paid for it!

cake I've only chatted to this lady the once. She seemed nice enough but I don't know her at all which is why I'm a bit Confused

needle I love the colours, really bright and garish! (garish is A Good Thing in my book)

Potty training...none in the potty at all today. I very nearly got cross...

Woodlands · 28/05/2011 19:31

hope tonight goes well chulita! have fun.

tsc so sorry to hear that. i agree k's prom outfit sounds amazing!

J is teething again, he's been whiny and miserable all day. On the plus side, it was my turn for a lie in this morning and I slept till after 11am... bliss!

CakeandRoses · 28/05/2011 20:01

oh shit tsc, i feel sick for you. there's no doubt now that your instincts about him having a problem were spot on Sad what bloody timing whilst your parents and friends are away too.

is he now finally admitting he has a problem or is he just saying he'll go to a meeting to keep you happy? that seems an important point to me.

if you haven't already, think i would give him a crystal fucking clear one-off opportunity to come clean about it all or else you'll walk. ie:

  • do you now admit you have a problem?
  • how much do you drink a day/week?
  • how long has this gone on for?
  • did you drink the spirits that were watered down?

and anything else you need answers to.

and then stick to your agreement of him having to go to a meeting asap

i think he has to realise that total honesty is the only possible way he can salvage this now. it's the very least you deserve to enable you to give him time of day at this point.

he also needs to man the fuck up and realise that demanding to stay in the house is just not on after the way he's behaved.

and i guess you need to work out if you can/want to stay with him as he works thru his shit.

hopefully you're enjoying the match now but if you want to chat on fb/phone whatever then let me know (i hate football so won't be busy)

tsc so how are things between u both now, are u talking, is it a horrid atmosphere. I know how u answered this question last time but despite it all do u still love him?

chu dont feel guilty, it is a lot of money but dont u think u deserve it, im sure u look ace and i really hope u are having a lovely time tonight.

cake hows F been today? I have only just had my teeth cleaned at the dentist, id also love to get mine whitened but its well expensive. I have never messed with them before as i dont have any fillings yet so all is good in there!

stac Im feeling absolutly fine thanks, strong smells are knocking me sick and i cant seem to shake this bloody thrush that i have (sorry TMI!) but otherwise totally normal, sort of wish i had more symptoms cos im convincing myself that theres going to be nothing there when i go for the scan!

woodlands it was my turn for lie in too but our house is made of tissue paper it would seem and i just lie there listening to D yabber on and on and on!!!!

DH what date is ur wedding again? Are u more excited or nervous? whats the plan for the day?

needle i have iCandy Peach, its quite heavy im suprised u have gone for that wrt public transport. I love mine though and i have the most garish one of all i think, the green and blue one!! u can get black, i saw it in black the other day and it looked really nice. Did u find out how much the fixtures were to make it into a double? Im sure its going to be mega bucks!

Pizzas ready must go!! xx

Ladies, you forget that i'm used to my silver cross kensington, so to me the peach feels like it's floating! I went for black jack too Mlic as I didn't like the sweet pea or tomato.

chulita, I'm the opposite. My first question is always "does it come in navy?"

Chulita · 28/05/2011 22:14

I'm home! I could have stayed longer but I'm knackered tonight. Had a lovely time though, met another lady who lives just round the corner who has a 7 month old - she brought him with her and he had a bottle and fell asleep in a room full of ladies chatting Shock [utterly gobsmacked emoticon] we swapped numbers so hopefully we'll meet up. They were all very chatty and we arranged to meet up again for an Indian next month but I forgot it's one of my very best friend's wedding on that day Blush so I won't be able to go after all! Glad I went though :)

Y'see viks that's the main reason I think I might be upduffed, both times with L and S I had horrible, unshiftable thrush and I've had it now for about 2 weeks. No other symptoms (except it's started to be a bit sensitive when S feeds but that might be to do with him teething) I'm still crampy though so who the frick knows...

woodlands 11am Shock Envy even on my lie-in days I don't get later than about 8 when S goes down for his first nap!

needle I just love the really bright, bright colours - there's too much black in the world imo Grin

Chulita · 28/05/2011 22:25

To POAS or not to POAS, that is the question...just been googling implantation spotting/bleeding vs period. I wish I hadn't given that pg test away or I'd have done it by now! Argh, might have to stop off at Asda tomorrow on our way back from church cos it keeps playing on my mind. I'm almost sure I'm not but you never know!

viksam the wedding is the 17th June, so just under 3 weeks. Im going to get my hair done at 11, then my make up at 12:30, then the ceremony starts at 3:30.
That will probably be about half an hour, then outside for pics, then onto the golf club for the reception.
Dinner starts at 6pm and the evening party starts about 8pm and we all go home at 11pm!

Yes I am very much looking forward to it Grin

Needle · 29/05/2011 08:13

Gosh dh, that's quite late in the day. Ours was at 1 and I think I would have had a nervous breakdown if I'd had to wait any longer!

DesperateHousewife21 · 29/05/2011 08:15

Yeah I wanted plenty of time to get ready and also Dylan should have had both his naps by then so he should behave himself!

Goodmorning!!
mylife i didnt realise the blackjack was brown and grey, it has always looked black from a distance, but very nice though. My DH chose mine hes a very quiet man but has an extremly flamboyant streak i.e. he once owned a bright (asbo) orange lotus! he has a nice grey one now mind!
needlesRe heavy i meant when its folded up or having to lift the frame at all, it is heavy then but not to push, its a dream to push (thank god!)
DH sounds like a lovely layed back day, whos looking after D for the day?
Chu well done u for going! shame ur at a wedding that day. I must suggest to the girls i have met at group that we go for another curry, its good actually cos i make a suggestion to one of the girls and she picks it up and runs with it and does all the organising!
stac how was ur night? how is R
Its twice now that D has woken at 11ish and screamed like there is something wrong. DH went in lst night but couldnt settle him so i went in and gave him teething powder and a drink of water, hes got a cough which only comes when hes lying down and a snottu nose but i really dont know whats causing this crying. He went on to have a really unsettled night, i didnt go in again and he eventually slept till 7.50, so he must have been tired!! He a happy chappy this morning though. Hes been lovely the last few days, i have really enjoyed him, his charachter is really coming out now and hes starting to understand so much more, i just really hope that we can have quality days like this when the new baby comes.
Whats everyone doing today? The weather looks amazing here, might run to the beach!
