July 2010: Drool it, maul it, crawl over it - that's how our threadbabes would eat a creme egg. But why the Creme Egg?!

Theatres and 50s dresses and dressmaking: needle
"floral naffery" stuff as chulita puts it - cake. And vegan stuff.
when g cries a lot - mlic with W
manchester and man u and corrie and my sister (cos she lives in Manchester) - tsc
babies sleeping well and computer stuff - spirael. And Leeds (cos I lived there for 7 years)
when I put off going to the hairdressers (again) - kk
Mexico - chulita
zumba - stac

I will think of others later I am sure.

I see the time difference to here is Confused you guys Grin , half the year we are 11 hours ahead and the other half of the year (when the clocks change) we are 13 hours ahead. It is easiest to remember I am "about" 12 hours ahead!

mlic I definitely think of you whenever I wear rumpled clothes. I Grin yesterday when I pulled a pair of combats from the machine that had sat in there since the day before and stuck them on the airer. I'm not going to iron them but I chuckled to myself at your Shock face.

stac that's so true re memphis at getting back at people and having the balls to do stuff I wouldn't!

And straight-talking tsc!

mlic try and hold off for a week and then test again, whatever's happening should be clearer by then. Or take bottles of piss into the chemist's everyday and let them test it Grin

We're having jusrol croissants for breakfast (thanks cake) once I've turfed DH out of bed. I'll give him a bit longer before I go and poke him though.

Needle · 28/05/2011 08:16

Wow, thanks stac!

memphis how much stuff do kiddicare have? Dh and I are considering a trip up there today to sort the pushchair problem, as the handle has now snapped off my chav wagon entirely. I have an idea of what I'd like, but is the shop as good as the website?

DesperateHousewife21 · 28/05/2011 08:39

haha needle sorry I depress you re weight!

MY wedding is obv wedding of the year around here Grin

Lets see what I can think of...

Any sort of hardcore sleep training: mlic

Zumba: stac

Baking cakes: cake!

Anything to do with BF or vampires: tsc Grin

Trudyla · 28/05/2011 08:41

Everything to do with cooking or baking and how I can't do it, I think how all of you could do it with your eyes covered, cake, chulita, MLIC and needle

Zumba and Scotland = stac

Hair and Ireland = kk

Motorbikes = memph

Thin and young = DH

Anything ooop norf related and bikinis = tsc

Anything down under and the impossible (literally) quiche = wss

pregnant buddies = viksam and MLIC (hehe)

When I think about moving back to the UK and maybe near my SIL, I think that I will be able to meet up with cake

When M screams when I put her down I wonder what MLIC would do now. I also imagine her face Shock when I put on my non ironed clothes.

When I'm scared about the future then I always remind myself that cake, chulita and MLIC cope too, with two close together. (and I ignore when they struggle)

When I prepare M's pureed food, I think about spirael's M eating spicy curries.

Probably loads more but can't think of more now.

WhatSheSaid · 28/05/2011 08:44

Just before I read your post mlic I brought the washing in and I didn't iron anything Grin

Oh yes, I forgot, dh size 6 Envy

Oh chulita and WSS, I wanted to tell you for ages. M used to wake up at 5:30 every morning and it drove me mad. We solved it in having DP get up and go in with her to settle her. When he comes, she is not so interested in getting up and seems to think, oh it's him, I might as well get back to sleep. Whereas she thinks when she sees me, yey, it's mummy, let's get up, let's play, let's drink milk. But now she regularly sleeps till 7 and sometimes 8 or longer and DP doesn't have to go in anymore either. It was just in the beginning.

Maybe worth a try sending your husbands in? Not sure if you bf S straight away in the morning chul then it obviously wouldn't work, otherwise maybe give it a go. Worked a charm for us.

WhatSheSaid · 28/05/2011 08:50

I sent dh in to her the other morning at 4.45 when I'd been up with her since 4 - he gave up at 5.15am. Didn't work Sad

But today we managed to make her last till lunchtime till she slept so she only had one sleep not two - I am trying not to hope too much but you never know, it may make a difference...

ah yes i blatantly think of mlic looking like this Hmm when i'm doing the 'smoothing away of creases with my hand which i believe functions almost as well as a red-hot iron' move on clothes

tsc did i read that right - I am Anthea Turner? Shock Grin

DesperateHousewife21 · 28/05/2011 09:15

Grin its ok tsc I know what you meant. It'll prob all backfire one day and ill balloon to a size 18!

CakeandRoses · 28/05/2011 09:17

and chul what's memph's lambs and mlic's secret postings?

it's a shame we've seen each on fb, otherwise the 'how do we picture each other thing' would be so funny random like anthea turner

OP posts:
kkfairybrains · 28/05/2011 09:19

Oh god tsc what is up with him? is he eating much during the day?
Another one i thought of last night was when our neighbour dropped us in a sling before holidays i wondered how woodlands was getting on with hers
its mad how much i mention you guys. Even one time i was worried about something and i can't even remember what now, but i was talking to mum about it and she said 'why don't you ask the mumsnet girls?'!
I'm always thinking of nixter and where she is too. Hope all is good with her and the little beauty

WhatSheSaid · 28/05/2011 09:49

My niece had a prom for leaving primary stac and they all rode round in limos! Not what I was up to when I was 11

WhatSheSaid · 28/05/2011 09:52

Oh and I thought Chul meant (with the secret postings) that mlic posts on here secretly i.e. her dh know she reads MN but doesn't know she posts.

malibustac · 28/05/2011 10:53
