July 2010: Drool it, maul it, crawl over it - that's how our threadbabes would eat a creme egg. But why the Creme Egg?!

oooooh mlic! why don't you believe the neg? have you got other symptoms???

we were going to get the nipper to begin with but it wouldn't have fit thru our front door (and by extension, lots of shop doors) so went for the jogger instead, i can't actually believe the nipper is more manouvreable tho as the jogger is like steering greased air [even sadder than chul emoticon]

i would def get a double in your case trudy. we've used ours loads and our gap isn't as small as yours will be. before you own one its easy to not realise that most toddlers walk at the pace of a geriatric snail. it will do your brain in if you're reliant on M walking everywhere. And that's not even accounting for lying in the floor, refusing to walk tantrums. And there's only so much carrying a heavy baby in a sling whilst pushing a shopping-laden pram that anyone wants to do, imo.

trudy I did have a look at Kellymom, the thing is she's nearly 11 months and I was vaguely thinking I'd stop bfing somewhere around 12 months...so to get her back bfing (if she even would, she's a determined little thing) and then stop again in a month or so - just doesn't seem worth it. I don't want to be bfing forever, I just wasn't quite expecting to stop right now. I thought we'd drop feeds gradually and then I wouldn't have ended up with porn star boobs for a start!

mlic oooooooooh how would you feel about it? The tests are pretty sensitive though. Was it "first wee of the day" (I know it's not meant to matter with tests anymore but still)

symptoms mlic any other symptoms?

i had a bfn with F with test 1 (done early using one of the ones that you can use early) then the faintest line imaginable with test 2 using first wee in the morning on my period due date. if i didn't already know i was pg we wouldn't have seen a line and believed test 2 was positive, it was that faint. i had to do a third test before we got a line that was just about visible without needing to look for an hour at it in every light and at every angle.

A's test was the same.

Grin @ geriatric snail. We come and go through our garage but yea, it wouldn't fit through our front door either. When we meet up at centreparcs I'll let you have a push to convince you :)

mlic aaaaah! I'm seriously tempted to buy a test now but it would be a waste of money seeing as I don't feel remotely pg.

wss tbh I'm a bit sceptical about this 'no self-weaning before 1', what's the difference between a strike and self-weaning. If the baby doesn't want to feed, why force it? I'm very pro-bf but I'm not going to keep pushing it when S stops, no matter how sudden it is (I'll will however cry for days!)

oh mlic that would be lovely, can't believe there are so many on this thread ttc or are up-duffed. I spoke to dp about it and he said wait another year and we'll think about it but because it took 2 years ttc R she would potentially be 4 by the time another one comes along so don't know if I want to wait that long.

I've saw the P & T doublers and I kept thinking the poor lo at the bottom is faced with the smell of shitty nappy in its face, could get its fingers jammed in the wheels and all the other things you's said about it. Too close to the ground for my liking.

All flu and af in this house so no fun. R had a really crap night but I caught dp giving her a bottle at 4.20 Angry so I'm waiting for him to come home so I can have it out with him. Then its boot camp again! Sick of it to be honest.

[pops in] Trudyla, can you leave the pics up until this evening? I can't access FB while at work! [pleads]

CakeandRoses · 26/05/2011 11:01

[pram wars emoticon] right, chul you're on

OP posts:
Trudyla · 26/05/2011 11:22

Ok MLIC I turst you Grin

Hope I won't piss you off chulita but at the moment I'm leaning more towards cake's doubler. The slimmer does it for me. I am paranoid about not fitting through doors with my normal pram, so I would not go anywhere anymore with a too wide doubler. You did post a link to Amazon for it, *cake, didn't you? Off to find it.

spirael I'll leave it up so you can admire me M Grin

Get a test chulita. We You need to know for sure.

MLIC Will you do another test soon? Both my first test with M and this one were negative. With M I proceeded to share a bottle of mulled wine with a friend the evening I took the first test, then two days later had the BFP and worried about the alcohol the whole pregnancy, so don't get pissed just yet

Fair enough Wss and chulita. I would have def stopped if M didn't want anymore bf. Just thought I'd point it out since you did seem to suffer. But yeah, now think about all the lovely bras and fewer night wake ups.

CakeandRoses · 26/05/2011 11:26

chul just being nosey but when are thinking of stopping bf?

Trudyla · 26/05/2011 11:26

CakeandRoses · 26/05/2011 11:28

Ta.

Chulita · 26/05/2011 12:46

You're on cake Honestly though, they're both brilliant for different things which is why I have both Grin
I'm thinking of stopping bfing around 12 months unless S clearly wants to either stop earlier or carry on longer. Not massively bothered tbh.

Chulita · 26/05/2011 12:57

Just remembered too, the Jogger has a far, far better raincover (it actually fits the buggy) and zips in the middle so you can let air in. The Nipper doesn't need a zip/fresh air vent cos it fits so badly. Seriously, if I didn't go running we'd have got the Jogger, but I love my Nipper.

Chulita · 26/05/2011 12:59

memphis how's L today?

stac that's sooooooo so crap about your dp giving her a bottle! How are you supposed to deal with it if he's not playing along?

viksam you feeling any calmer today?

Woodlands · 26/05/2011 12:59

My MIL didn't get a double and there's only 19 months between DH and his younger sister. No idea how she managed! I want to have an age gap big enough that I don't have to have a double - maybe 3, 3.5 years.

We're having another 1 nap day today - J was awake (and inconsolable mostly) from 5 till after 6, but he then slept on me until 8.30, bliss! He went to sleep about 20 minutes ago but I'll have to wake him at 2.15 or so as we're going to visit the nursery he'll probably go to. I changed the appointment so that DH can come too.

Chulita · 26/05/2011 14:19

trudy I meant to say that yes, I'm planning on going on Saturday. I usually find it very easy to make friends which is probably why I'm nervous this time - 9 months in a place and I've yet to find anyone I can invite round Confused The lady who's invited me drove past me today and stopped to re-invite me which has confirmed that she does actually want me to go so we'll see if I can meet some new people!

Chulita · 26/05/2011 14:45

Argh! My asos order was delivered yesterday but it was the wrong dress, I emailed them and apparently it's out of stock now Angry Back on the hunt for a dress!

kkfairybrains · 26/05/2011 15:12

ah brilliant chulita i'm sure it'll be a brill evening and you'll definately fit right in! that's a pain in the behind about the dress!!
pictures are finally up on facebook of turkey and amsterdam if anyone wants a look! didn't get an awful amount in turkey as my battery kept going dead so my mum has loads on hers too

malibustac · 26/05/2011 15:43

Chulita what's he new dress like? Is it worth trying on?
