Haha! I didn't get round to posting it til later as I'd locked the keyboard halfway thru and then forgot about it til we got to cambridge!

Had a delish lunch of best ever falafel wrap and a vegan pasty, both of which I shared with F and A. She's eaten masses today and hasn't mentioned the milk feed

Xposted mlic

Grrr re Ws dinner. I get a dairy free pesto which is lovely, has cashews in it. The two brands I get are zest and meridian. Sainsburys do one of them.

What does your dh do on sat mornings?

malibustac · 07/05/2011 17:55

Moaning mini has

8oz formula
Porridge or weetabix and toast
Lunch varies veg lasagne today and a yoghurt
8oz formula
Organix biscuit or puffs or fruit
Dinner what we're having, today its chicken stir fry
Bed time is porridge or toast
8oz bottle

During the night she has started to look for a bottle agin but think its more for comfort so I am swapping that with water and reducing daytime milk as her appetite is suffering.

Cakes its ike she has separation anxiety during thE night which is daft because she can see us. I have to speak to the hv on monday regarding a letter I need so will ask her what she thinks then. She was overtired in the car there and cried but fell asleep when she hit the cot. Do you thnk a calpol top up during te night might help?

malibustac · 07/05/2011 17:58

malibustac · 07/05/2011 19:53

Congrats viks, no wonder your in shock but its lovely news xx

Woodlands · 07/05/2011 20:10

yay congratulations Vik!!!

J ate loads today, we were at a friend's BBQ and he had some lunch first as he was getting hungry, then he had bits off everyone's plates for ages while we all ate. My (child-free) friend left her plate near him for a moment and he swiped a load of food off it - she was outraged (in a joky way)!

This is what he had yesterday which was a bit more typical:

6am BF
8am one weetabix with full fat milk, half a peach
12pm half a big jar of baby food, most of a kiwi fruit
3pm BF
6pm slice of bread with peanut butter, couple of bits of cucumber, some mashed avocado, some strawberries, some raisins, most of a banana mashed with some Greek yoghurt
7pm BF
11pm BF
2.30am BF

I kind of forgot about snacks yesterday - I am trying to give him morning and afternoon snacks but sometimes he doesn't particularly ask for them. I must remember to offer him water even if I forget the snacks.

It was interesting today at the BBQ, at 12.30ish he was grumpy but we weren't going to be eating for an hour or so so I BF him, which he had with pleasure but was still hungry and grumpy after, so I had to give him some food early. I haven't previously noticed him being hungry and milk not satisfying it.

CakeandRoses · 07/05/2011 20:30

Wow!!! viksam, such amazing news!

Do tell us if you want us to not go on about for a few weeks til you get your head round it tho - or alternatively do jaw on about how you're feeling if you'd prefer!

woodlands did you feel all proud of J's stealth eating? Grin

are you gonna try again re cutting out the night feeds?

mlic does your dh spend sundays with you instead? I don;t know how you get thru the week not even thinking you'll have a break/a change come saturday Sad

did you make yourself another dinner?

so, am i, chul, woodlands and tsc the only ones doing milk feeds after bedtime now?

Congratulations viksam. Hope you are happy.

Not much going on here. Lovely weather though.

Have a nice evening all.

WhatSheSaid · 07/05/2011 20:37

I promise I won't get broody vik. I'm actually getting less and less broody as G gets older. I've always been the most broody in the first few months after the birth - weird.

G has:
Breakfaat - 7ish - varies between toast/fruit/pancakes/omelette/yoghurt. Still not a fan of cereal

Bf - about 8.30

Snack late morning - cracker or fruit

Dinner - 12ish - whtever we're having - sandwich/pasta/noodles/whatever

Bf about 1

Maybe a snack 3ish

Bf about 4

Tea - beans/egg/wraps/soup/cheese on toast/whatever - about 5.30

Bf just before bed at 7.

And she usually gets fed sometime during the night though I don't think she really needs it

Forgot to say:

stac Good luck bootcamping.

kk Have fun in Amsterdam. Will you be back on here to tell us how it was, or will you be straight off on your holiday? If the latter, I wish you a wonderful holiday, too. Where are you going to? Sorry, you probably said, but I forgot.

evening everyone!!
just a quick post before bed as we are doing a carboot tomorrow and have to leave at 5.15!!
mum got L tonight so we have been on the bikes!!
congrats vik !!

right then after reading all your babies food diarys i feel concerned that L doesnt eat that much, he eats the same amount (and drinks less milk) than when he was weaned at 4 months!!
6am 4oz bottle
9am baby porridge and fruit puree
11am 4oz bottle
1pm toast fingers with pate, grated cheese, kiwi, organix rusk, of this he licks the pate off and feeds the rest to the dog
3pm 4oz bottle
5.30pm slop of veg with no hint of lumps and a yoghurt
7.30 6oz bottle

i feel awful reading it he used to have 6 or more 6oz bottles and eat more at lunch but he wont eat slop so i have started giving him finger food that he wont eat either :(

kkfairybrains · 08/05/2011 02:03
