Morning all!
If Carling made bank holiday weekends this would be it...having such lovely time with family and friends, glorious weather, nice outings, and lots achieved too (reorganisation of garage and knocking down of front wall!). Enjoying fiiiiinally having a garden the children can use, and DH and a friend have put lino down in the playhouse so its proper cosy now. Those children don't know how lucky they are! We did a great easter egg hunt round town on saturday, which fitted nicely with the shopping we needed to do, and we met the lord mayor at the end!

We've had some horrific poos from DS recently too, but dentist confirmed last week that he can see his final molar, so I think the end has come! Worst one was I changed him, then we went out to the park near my BIL who said it was 'only 10mins away' so I didn't take a change bag. Mistaaaaaaaake! Park was more like 20mins, and as DS was going up the climbing frame I saw a poo smear (complete with carrot) sticking out the top of his nappy and going up his back. By the time we got home it was a change of trousers, t-shirt, jumper and coat. Urgh. A full shoulders to knees job. DS asked to wear pants again a few weeks ago, but the rest of April and all of May are too busy, so we're looking at half term week for project potty. He'll bee 2yr 8m by then, so I'm hoping it'll be quick and relatively painless

ninja I'll try and find you on fb, I need to see these fabled photos!

Becaroooo · 25/04/2011 18:29

hmmm...waiting til summer (july) to try and potty train toby

Went to chatsworth House this morning....went to farm and play park and had a picnic and a game of football and a MASSIVE ice cream...was lovely Smile

Will be spending tomorrow afternoon cleaning Sad

ninja · 25/04/2011 19:18

You found me Carrie sounds liek a great weekend [bugrin]

DD1 organised an Easter Egg hunt yesterday for her Brownie Hostess badge, it was great [bugrin]

working today [busad]

Back to school tomorrow .....

Meglet · 25/04/2011 20:00

LOL at carrot-y, poo-smear carrie.

becaroo I would love to go to Chatsworth one day. Is that where they have the huge water feature down the hill as well as the gardens?

We went to London today, as you can imagine the DC's are shattered. Next weekend needs to be a Cbeebies fest as we've over done it for the last 3 weeks.

Kagey · 25/04/2011 21:01

Hi all,

Belated happy easter! dd2 seems to constantly feed so I've had no time to post (just a bit of lurking on phone). BFing still going strong but it does mean that I seem to have no respite from feeding frenzies.

DD1 has driven me crazy today with a whingey cry all day, she had far too much chocolate and a sleep deprived me did not tolerate the toddler grumps :(

It is a faff uploading new photos on MN so I've posted some on our MN Sept 08 FB page.

Becaroooo · 26/04/2011 06:57

meg Its fab....it has the emperor fountain (designed by Joseph Paxton) which is the largest gravity fed fountain in the world

Its one of my fave places in the world Smile

Lots to do for kids too!

(Last time I toured the house they had a display about the films recetnly filmed there - pride and prejudice and the duchess - which I loved)

CappuccinoCarrie · 26/04/2011 19:14

Lovely photos kagey!

DH has just left for Mexico again :( 5th and final trip. Yes I'm crying buckets, can't believe we won't see him again til Friday next week.

Becaroooo · 27/04/2011 07:32

Oh carrie

Hope its goes as fast for you
x

Meglet · 27/04/2011 11:45

[csmile]

Becaroooo · 27/04/2011 12:19

heh heh

DebiTheScot · 27/04/2011 13:09

cool [cgrin] I hope Kate doesn't end up like this [cangry] on Friday.

Back to work today after the holidays. A nice 2 week to ease myself though [csmile]
And it's my birthday on Friday [csmile]. I'll be 30 [csad], but that does mean I get a good excuse for making it a special 3 day long birthday [csmile]

Meglet · 27/04/2011 13:36

debi it's a 4 day weekend again this week!

I'm off sick today, got a nasty cold virus that has wiped me out, I'm getting through tissues like there's no tomorrow. So, lots of tea and MN for me while I rest.

carrie He'll be back soon ((hugs)).

Becaroooo · 27/04/2011 16:01

meg I think I have that too Sad My nose is so sore from blowing it! Throat hurts too....sigh.

Hope you feel better soon x

Debs75 · 27/04/2011 18:16

Hi all did you have a good easter?
We completely bypassed it with being away and the kids eggs are still in the cupboard.
We had a great time at centreparcs, the weather was great and we froud loads to do without spending too much, everything costs you there apart from the swimming so we did that a lot. robyn walked everywhere or whined to be carried, she was shattered on the nights and even slept in her own bed in a room with DD1, the first time she has slept away from us. She loved seeing all the animals, especially the red squirrels and spent a lot of time wandering after ducks,

Meg I'm joining you with the cold as well. I ache, my head hurts and I am so tired

Robyn is smothering me with kisses and pretending to cut my hair she is very strange

Becaroooo · 27/04/2011 18:23

debs which CP did you go to? We went to Longleat last year and it was great - very expensive though.

Only 6.5 weeks til hols.......not counting the days or anything Grin

Toby has been "hepping" (helping) by fetching me tissues and sweeping the floor with the dustpan and brush Smile bless him.

Meglet · 27/04/2011 20:07

My nice, soft tissues are running out. I'm going to have to steal the cheap ones in DS's room.

I've not been to centreparcs yet. I did hear that the Spa at longleat was really good, mud & steam rooms with pretty ceiling lights IIRC. Could do with a spa break right now TBH

DebiTheScot · 27/04/2011 21:46

meg, don't worry I hadn't forgotten it's a 4 day weekend but as my triathlon is on Monday I'm not counting that as part of my birthday weekend! (also I don't work Mondays anyway)

Keep your germs away from me please [cgrin]

Becaroooo · 28/04/2011 12:56

meg eew, lemsip makes me sick so I'll pass...but thanks for the thought!! Smile Still snotty here. Its soooo nice out and I feel ghastly..ugh.

Hope you feel better soon meg

(I can confirm the spa at Longleat is VERY good!)

Debs75 · 28/04/2011 13:18

We went to Whinfell Forest in Cumbria. Didn't get chance to check out the spa, bit annoyed I didn't get my feet nibbled by the fish but it was hard swimming with 3 kids who all need us nearby. we'll go again but in about 5 years when we have saved up a bit.

I've passed my cold to Lucy who is snotting everywhere. Have just bought some more balsam tissues so at least our noses won't be sore.

Anyone watching the wedding tomorrow?

Meglet · 28/04/2011 15:56

debs I'm not watching the wedding at all, no interest in it at all [cwink]

I wandered to the chemists earlier for more tissues. My sinuses are trying to sufocate me.

debi Good luck for monday!

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 28/04/2011 18:29
