Sorry about the crap title ladies, I was lacking inspiration and we were up to our limit on posts!

OP posts:

bec & carrie I'm ok. Glad nothing kicked off but I do worry it will make XP want to see the kids (as they are quite wonderful when not being naughty). But after the mediation / contact centre no-shows I think he'd have to jump through some pretty big hoops if he ever wanted to see them. I don't believe his temper has in any way calmed down, it's just dormant.

The DC's out-standing Wagamama's behaviour made up for the mild trauma though .

carrie Sounds like you had a lovely day. Can you lie low tomorrow instead? It won't be long before you can introduce your new DC.

I'm quite sad about the Red Arrow pilot, I always think of them as super-human. For once I turned the news off as I didn't want DS to get upset by it.

splishsplosh · 20/08/2011 22:23

meglet - that must have been horrible, it's something I dread, must have been such a shock.

Carrie sorry nothing happened yet, sending lots of contraction vibes your way

Just had a lovely day out in Brighton with my sister and niece, spent all day at the paddling pool near the west pier - not long got in. Luckily dd2 slept all the way home and was able to transfer her to bed without any trauma.

Got my chest xray results yesterday and turns out that i've had pneumonia! No wonder I have spent most of the holidays wanting to do nothing more than lie on the sofa, and needing to lie down after walking up the stairs - our holidays have been mainly spent visiting the doctor or the hospital - hope the last 2 weeks are not so eventful

ninja · 21/08/2011 16:10

Splish Shock I can't believe you've been up and coping with pneumonia - I really hope that the treatment starts working soon.

Meg that sounds scary - so glad that DS didn't see him as I imagine that would have really upset him

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 21/08/2011 21:01

AIBU to be slightly excited that we haven't heard a peep from carrie all day, neither here nor on fb? Or am I just living through other people?! [Grin]

Lollyheart · 21/08/2011 21:29

mrsA yanbu Grin

DebiTheScot · 21/08/2011 22:01

lol MrsA, I was thinking the same!

Glad you're ok after yesterday meg and phew that ds didn't see him.

splish Shock face from me too! Hope you recover soon.

Kagey · 21/08/2011 22:15

Exciting Grin I so love reading baby announcements, I shall be lurking everyday now!

Poor you splish hope you feel better real soon.

Eek meglet I'm glad your Dc's and you were ok.

Dd1 had her first haircut yesterday; her hair is curly and grows very slowly. She got a little certificate and was so good grinning away as her hair was trimmed .

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 21/08/2011 22:57

Debi btw, meant to reply that we got our tent from go outdoors - the 8 man eskdale. Didn't get a footprint - we did get good quality airbeds and stove, windbreak, mains hook up etc. Planning on going away for 2 nights in sept as a taster. Do you think a footprint is good and would you recommend a heater (or any other hot tips?!)

ninja · 22/08/2011 00:20

I was wondering the same ...... who was going to update us???

ninja · 22/08/2011 00:23

we need to start thinking of a new title girls!

Becaroooo · 22/08/2011 07:54

ooohhh....no news from carrie ????

Debs75 · 22/08/2011 07:54

Robyn has caught cold which means now 4 out of the 6 of us are sneezing and snotty and shivery. She is curled up with dp on the settee watching blues clues and keeps complaining of being cold. I'm just shattered and could do with several more hours sleep.

Hope Carrie is ok and she lets us know soon

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 22/08/2011 09:30

Oh poor Robyn Debs that's so hard when you feel rotten too. I do get envious of C when she's ill and so am I - at least she can curl up and sleep.

Just seen Carrie's fb message - no news at all!

CappuccinoCarrie · 22/08/2011 09:37

Sorry to disappoint you all, I often don't get on the computer on a Sunday, that's all!
We had a really lovely family weekend and last night I went out for drinks and a long walk with a friend. Then I had contractions every 10mins from 11pm-1am. It gradually became apparent that they weren't getting any closer together, lasting very long, or increasing in pain, and when I got up at 1 to get a bowl of cereal they fizzled out altogether. So here we are starting another week and I'm still pregnant :( Tomorrow is a week since my first painful BH contractions, I feel as sore as if I had given birth, but I've still got to go through it. Tonight is curry night with DH, but all the things we try just seem to bring about more BH that stop me sleeping and don't actually bring us any closer to meeting baby. I'm totally knackered today from the lost sleep.
Sorry for self-centred post.
splish you poor thing, I really hope you feel better soon!

Becaroooo · 22/08/2011 10:08

carrie Curry might work????

FannyPriceless · 22/08/2011 10:44

carrie I'm sendng you some nice relaxing sleep vibes. Sounds like your body wants a good sleep more than it wants to have a baby right now!Wink

Debs75 · 22/08/2011 11:35

maybe stop trying to get baby out and try and get some rest instead. Is dp at home with you to look after the dc's.
After I had my sweep with Lucy I felt so sore for the next couple of days I was convinced I would be in labour any minute. It meant some very uncomfortable nights before I got to hospital.

Luckily I am starting to feel a bit better. I don't know how you have coped with pneumonia Splish. it is annoying it is so nice and we have a ds free day so we should be off to the park or to the beach but I have no energy and now Robyn is coughing.

Hope I feel upto shopping soon I have to get school stuff for dd1 and ds and some more things for Robyn for nursery. Thankfully I have 3 weeks left of the holidays to get moving

Meglet · 22/08/2011 12:11

carrie just go eat some nice pasta / biscuits and rest, forget the curry if it's setting off BH. You need some energy for labour!

debs Can't believe you all have a crappy cold this time of year Sad. Hope it's out of the way soon.

I'd better make the dc's lunch in a moment. They have a kids fish pie ready meal (lazy mummy today) but fresh runner beans from the garden which makes up for it Wink.

Oh, and for her birthday in 2 weeeks DD has a Hello Kitty plate / bowl & cup set and 'The Great Pet Sale' (Mick Inkpen book). Nothing big and nothing that needs new storage. Go me!! She'll get enough bits from everyone that it won't occur to her that I haven't given her a big present.

splish Do you live near your XP? We're only in a small town so it's bound to happen every so often, we last saw him last Sept. I rarely go to town at the weekends in case we see him.

Lollyheart · 22/08/2011 12:30

Sending labour vibes Carrie

My week just got a whole lot worst, last night some low life scum broke into our house in the night and stole dhs wallet Angry thankfully only cards ect were in there, luckily dh forgot to get our holiday spending money out of the cash point yesterday!

The only night he didnt lock the front room window the scum gets in, we have just had forensics round to take finger prints and said we wernt the only ones broken into last night.
That's our 3 lots of bad luck it can only get better.

Sorry for me post I've had the worst week of my life Sad

Becaroooo · 22/08/2011 13:06

So sorry lolly Thats awful. Such a hassle cancelling cards, isnt it?

Really hope you have a good hols...you deserve it!

Meglet · 22/08/2011 13:08

oh lolly Sad. How shit.

Debs75 · 22/08/2011 13:19

Oh Lolly that is awful. I hope you can get your cards cancelled before he does any damage with them. Good job he forgot to draw the cash out of the bank.

notcitrus · 22/08/2011 14:00

Aw lolly that's horrible - glad it was just cards though.
And enjoy your holiday!

Best wishes for your labour carrie whenever the little one gets round to shifting!

Working from home is as boring as I expected - had 300 emails waiting and need to do some really tedious stuff over the next couple months. Machine currently doing an upgrade for a couple hours so I can't do any work... darn! Grin

CappuccinoCarrie · 22/08/2011 18:22

Oh lolly what a horrible thing to have done to you :(

No more BH or tightenings today, reckon they're saving themselves for when I'm trying to sleep tonight. Had a glorious afternoon napping while the children learned many educational things from cbeebies Hmm

Meglet · 22/08/2011 20:53

carrie I've just started 'taping' Deadly 60, Newsround and Horrible Histories from CBBC for DS to watch so I can tell myself it is truly educational Grin.

Mind you, I did learn something from Horrible Histories today so I might be joining DS in the living room when it's on.
