Morning ladies,

hope everyone is having a wonderful Monday, and everyone had a fabulous fathers day weekend and all of you feel appreciated.

Noah has been ill and has been out of nursery for over a week now, not sure if I'll be able to take him back till he's done with his antibiotics. What do you guys think?

rant alert
So it's happened again.

Was invited to a party, went to it and watched/listened as everyone kept talking about how they were all going to be at a party the next day (which I wasn't invited to) while the host of the next party confirmed numbers infront of my face all evening long. It's been two years of this crap!

Whats worse is, I had offered to help this specific woman with her charity and I just don't feel like helping her anymore after her super rudeness! I don't know why I attract such mean women. Argh!

Debs75 · 20/06/2011 13:45

Had a lovely fathers day. I made dp bacon and eggs and coffee, then he 'played' with the kids. Robyn and ds wrestled him. Made them all dinner then escaped with DD1 and Lucy for 2 hours whilst DD1 had a jumping lesson. She can jump 3 feet, or rather the horse can and she holds on for dear life. When I got home DP had washed the pots for me. I made quesadillas for tea which we all liked (phew) then DP did the pots again before washing the floors.
It was quite relaxing for meGrin

Potty training going well but she did wee on the settee yesterday. Still 1 accident isn't too bad.

Eandz that is awful. I have been in that situation several times at college.

Once everyone in our group went to a huge party and it was all anyone talked about for weeks. On the day of the party the party girl asked me if I was coming? I just said 'Maybe if you had invited me with everyone else, but not as an afterthought!' She blushed then said 'oh well if you are busy' . The thing was I really wanted to go and had arranged how Iwould get there and back so I was annoyed.
The other times I just accepted I wasn't as 'in' the group as I thought.
It is shitty though and not what I would expect adults to be like.

DebiTheScot · 20/06/2011 14:43

eandz she does sound very mean. Do your other friends have children? I know sometimes at work I've been missed out or had a half hearted invite where they assume I won't come because I have children.

Debs I was a bit baffled at first at your teenage daughter learning how to jump Grin

Debs75 · 20/06/2011 15:10

Debi on her own two feet she can barely run. Put her on a horse though and she is pretty good

Becaroooo · 20/06/2011 18:51

Hi all....back from sunny Greece!!

Got a lot of catching up to do!!!!

x

Meglet · 20/06/2011 20:52

debs I'm glad other people have wee on sofa incidents!

eandz I agree with debi, hopefully they don't have kids so are just assuming you can't come Confused. I do hope it's not just them being mean? I'd be livid about it Sad. My (bloody) sister excluded me from a night out with her friends a while ago. They had asked her to invite me (they all have kids and DH's and I think they felt a bit sorry for me never going out) but she didn't want to tell me as I'm 'boring and stressy', the first I knew of it was when one of her friends sent me a message the day before via FB (I've known them for years too) asking me if I was going out. Needless to say, when I discovered she really had excluded me, me and my sister had a stonking argument about it. I pointed out to my sister that if I did get to go out sometimes I might be a bit less boring.

I have a parent / teacher meeting with DS's new teacher tomorrow afternoon, I've even ironed my work clothes so I look smart when I meet her. All you teachers on here are going to think I'm mental aren't you?

eandz · 20/06/2011 21:41

Nah, it was the women being mean. I think a few of them have some serious problems (bad marriages (infidelity/bastard husbands/fertility issues/super old) yes, I'am bitter.

meglet I think you sound super fun actually. :)

So, I had coffee with a friend today and she made me feel soo much better about this. Happy people don't behave this way.

Meglet · 20/06/2011 22:02

Maybe you need to quietly stop seeing that group Sad. Some people are bitches and don't deserve lots of friends. Possibly some kind of power trip thing. Glad you met a nice friend for coffee today.

I'd better get off MN actually, I have to paint my nails. Don't want DS's teacher thinking I'm an un-groomed slattern.

DebiTheScot · 20/06/2011 22:56

Lol meglet, you might be slightly mad Grin

eandz I agree, stop seeing them. They don't sound like friends to me.

meglet I thought the wee on the sofa comment was directed at me at first. I thought my secret was out Blush Grin

(I am joking btw)

Debs75 · 21/06/2011 09:31

Meglet we also have wee on mummy accidents as well, not nice

CappuccinoCarrie · 21/06/2011 13:17

This has fallen of threads I'm on, although I have been reading I promise!

Just quite busy and tired, baby keeping me up all night...if this is what its like on the inside, what will it be like on the outside?!

DS back in nappies but doing the occasional wee on the potty at home. I'm not stressing about it.

eandz those people aren't real friends, but I think you know that!

mrsa hope you're having a wonderful holiday :)

Becaroooo · 21/06/2011 13:28

sigh....back to mountains of washing...traipsing round asda, going to the bank, post office...back to earth with a bump after my hols.

I will NEVER get all the washing and ironing done before our next trip (in 3 weeks)

NEVER

sob

CappuccinoCarrie · 21/06/2011 14:58

Be strong, have a Brew and sod the ironing, things only get creased when you wear them again!

Becaroooo · 21/06/2011 18:02

That is very true carrie

How far along are you now???

Only 6 months til xmas!!! Grin

CappuccinoCarrie · 22/06/2011 13:28

6 months til Christmas, hooray! I'm 32 weeks tomorrow. Weighed myself this morning and have only put on 9lb although I have a very big bump. Probably being overweight to start with hasn't helped Confused
DS has been in such an odd mood lately, swinging between delightful and all out misery. Don't know if its age or a boy thing or a combination of both, but I'm looking forward to him turning 3!

Debs75 · 22/06/2011 14:04

carrie Just 8 weeks to go. Are you getting excited? Are the kids geting excited? 9lb is a great weight gain.

Robyn has mood swings lijke that as well. She had a full-on tantrum this afternoon after nursery

Becaroooo · 22/06/2011 14:08

9 lbs????? 9 lbs??????

wow, only 8 weeks to go!!! Am VV excited for you x

Debs75 · 22/06/2011 16:53

Those of you are who are potty-training, how much wee do you think dc's are doing? Robyn goes often but only seems to fill up her potty by a cm or 2. She doesn't drink much though but it still seems a smalll amount

CappuccinoCarrie · 22/06/2011 17:12

I put on 21lb with DD, and never weighed myself with DS. I know they put on a pound a week in the last few weeks so I guess I'll chub out then. I've never really done the swelling thing though - I've always been able to keep my rings on til the end. At the start of pg I was eating more healthily (through cravings not choice!) but I've suddenly discovered a previously unheard of love of haribo Blush. Still worried its a sign of baby not growing enough, I've always been worried about how small DS is but he's just above the level at which anyone would be concerned!
debs we've had a couple of monster wees by DS, but mostly they're small little puddles at the bottom of a potty!

DebiTheScot · 22/06/2011 17:53

sometimes boys are worse at 3. Something to do with hormones.

Debs75 · 22/06/2011 18:09

Carrie don't panic about baby not growing, I had no changes in cravings or anything in the last 4 weeks with Lucy and she hadn't grown at all. You just like Haribo, if they are the fangtastic ones then I don't blame you, I love sour sweets

Becaroooo · 22/06/2011 20:32

carrie Toby also stopped growing during the last 4 weeks...good job really or he would have been a 10lber!!!!

Lollyheart · 22/06/2011 21:56

9lb Envy I'm only 27 weeks and have put on nearly 2 stone, everything I lost just before I got pregnant. Your fb profile pic is beautiful Smile, your bump is so neat and tidy, most of my weight is on my bum and legs.

notcitrus · 23/06/2011 19:05

eandz I've met you and you seemed lovely - fancy meeting up on a Wednesday or weekend? You're in London aren't you?

I have to say this has been a good couple of days:
Got both sets of Olympic tickets I applied for.
Won three prizes in a work raffle (including some wonderful marmelade and a Tesco Finest cake).
Got two lines on a pregnancy test. :)

I guess I'm about 7 weeks. It doesn't seem real yet. Last time I was over 14 weeks before I found out so I don't really know what to do now! Trying not to get to get too excited given how many miscarriages etc have been in the family, but it's a start. GrinGrin Suspect I'll be hopeless at not telling people - the inane grin gives it away.

Lollyheart · 23/06/2011 19:18

Congratulations GrinGrinGrin
