Hello

Yes ds2 is back to his naughty cheeky little self Grin but has a nice bruise on the side of his head.

I'm due in the 18th of sept this time, was due on the 12th with Fraser, I'm praying this one isn't early as were on holiday on the 1st week of sept plus I want ds1 to settle in school before the baby comes.

I have to get two lots of uniform and shoes this year Shock it's going to cost a bomb! Im going to buy it all very soon but leave shoes until nearer sept, my dcs are small, the small stuff sells out really fast.

How much do your dcs weigh? Fraser was weighed whilst we was in hospital last week and is only 25lb.

Meglet · 09/06/2011 20:39

lolly DD is 28lb. (I updated their red books last week).

ninja · 09/06/2011 21:47

I'd second supermarket school uniform and yes get it early they don't tend to restock at all during the year. I like the sainsburys girls trousers. the stretch ones seem very comfy.

Navy shorts a pita to find for girls!

Debi you don't sound at all busy!!! I did a 10K a few weeks ago which I actually enjoyed.

Eandz you can set up a virgin giving (I think it's called) account, there's also justgiving but they take some of the money. It's then really easy for people to sponsor you.

eandz · 09/06/2011 22:25

thank you ninja!

eandz · 10/06/2011 09:18

and here i believe is my link!

eandz · 10/06/2011 09:18

eandz · 10/06/2011 09:19

maybe now?

yes! yes! it works!!!

Meglet · 10/06/2011 13:56

done!

I'm waiting for paint to dry......zzzzzzzzz. Do first coats always look a bit crap Confused.

Becaroooo · 10/06/2011 14:06

meg Yes!!!!

Meglet · 10/06/2011 14:15

thank you!

It's white paint, but going over old white from 7 years ago. Second coat does look better! DD's faint orange crayon line seems to have gone now and all the weetabix marks are gone too!

Debs75 · 10/06/2011 14:18

Asda are doing an offer atm on primary age schoolwear, too small for my two. I took ds for shoes testerday and we had to get a mens size 7. They are really nice slip on shoes but they make his feet look long. Have realised we will have to teach him to tie shoelaces as men don't usually wear velcro shoes.

Meg the first couple of coats always look crap but our walls and woodwork are crap. If it is really bad sand it back a bit

eandz · 10/06/2011 17:40

Thank you Meglet!!!

DebiTheScot · 10/06/2011 21:23

Posting from the new iPhone app to see if it works! There's cool easy buttons for the emotions Grin Smile

Lollyheart · 10/06/2011 21:40

Oh mumsnet app Grin off to look

Lollyheart · 10/06/2011 21:46

Oh wow Grin

Meglet · 11/06/2011 14:21

I've managed to get MN mobile on my Blackberry now, it wouldn't work the other day. Think they were tinkering with it.

Went to Ikea earlier, I have a new laptop tray (amongst other things Blush).

Painting turned out ok in the end. I've still got lots of walls to do but I can just do a couple of walls a week when the kids are out.

eandz · 12/06/2011 14:44

Blackberry app for MN? I'm going to go DL it too.

Hey guys guess what?! I managed to raise the full 250 for Whizz Kidz (I really thought I'd never be able to) I'm soo very happy. Thank you!

On another note, I've just discovered ASDA properly. Oh goodness, this place is like a treasure trove.

Meglet · 12/06/2011 15:41

eandz If you scroll to the bottom of the normal MN home page on your phone it has a 'view the mobile version of mumsnet' link at the very bottom of the page. It works really well on my BB. Less cluttered so it downloads pretty fast.

Well done for raising all your sponsorship!

The weather is pants here today. Even I can't bear to chuck the kids in the garden. What happened to summer?

Debs75 · 12/06/2011 21:38

Robyn did 2 wee's on her potty and got 2 pieces of chocolate. she wanted another piece but she couldn't do 1.
We are going slow but she is getting there

DebiTheScot · 12/06/2011 21:41

I've been on mn too long. I just looked for an "I'm on" key on my keyboard!

Well done Eandz that was quick!

I did 2 legs of the marathon relay today. 2.62 miles twice. Just over 20 mins for each leg. It was very wet but good fun. Apart from that dh di 1 leg and beat my time which as he has never run before I was NOT happy!

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 12/06/2011 21:56

Hi one and all, haven't been on here for ages, I just can't seem to find the time at the moment. Ds3 is nearly 7 weeks old, I just don't know where the time has gone.

Carrie - I wanted ds potty trained before the baby arrived and I think I rushed it and pushed it before he was ready. It all worked out in the end, but I wish I didn't put that pressure on ds, or myself. I was heavily pregnant, tired and my patience threshold was very low - not a good combination for potty training.

We all went to a farm today (it was a national open farm day across the country) and ds was in heaven. He especially enjoyed the trailer ride, he was shaking with excitement!

Its official. I've given up potty training. After 2 weeks of DS wearing pants it was clear that we were making no progress what so ever. He loves wearing pants, could take himself to the potty and occasionally went without a reminder, but mostly only went when we asked him. Its really frustrating because he would be dry for hours at a time and could wee on demand, so there's no doubt that his bladder control is excellent, but he simply doesn't know that he's going to wee, only that he is already doing it, by which time its too late. Every single wee he did while we were out was in his pants. He'd always tell me (one up on DD who'd walk around wet) but there was no indication that he had any idea it was going to happen. So this morning we didn't mention it to him, we just kept him in a nappy, and he's not commented. I don't' know when we'll try again - ideally in two months time when its school holidays but I'll be rather busy having a baby then, and we're away at October half term. I just hope he starts telling me and decides to train himself, that would be preferable! DD has been dry for 4 days though and earned herself a new colouring book, so proud of her (although wish it hadn't taken over 2 years of toilet training to reach that point ).

debi well done on the marathon relay, that's very impressive. Grr to your DH though! I was so proud of myself when I did the race for life a few years ago, til dFIL told me he could have walked it quicker...true but it didn't need pointing out!!

Debs75 · 13/06/2011 14:13

carrie it can be so frustrating can't it. robyn spent all this morning without a nappy and did 3 wee's in the potty/toilet and 2 on the floor. She can go a long time without a wee which as you say is a start.

splishsplosh · 13/06/2011 21:29

dd2 doesn't even want to sit on a potty. She did ask to yesterday the first time in months.. but still nothing, and has never done anything. I don't think she has a clue that anything is on its way, hopefully one day this will change! She does like wearing pants though and will occasionally raid her sister's collection and wear several pairs over her nappy, sometimes just round her waist...

CappuccinoCarrie · 13/06/2011 21:32

Thank you for making me feel better! Its just so odd that he's dry for hours and can wee on demand, but in two weeks made zero progress on the knowing-that-you're-going-to-wee. Oh well, he's not ready and so be it!
