Eandz I hope you are getting the right help now you have the dx. #i found it so hard before ds was dx, then in the space of a few months we had loads of different help. Even now he is involved with several different organisations which we couldn't live without

Bec I hope things go ok for you too

eandz · 24/05/2011 17:26

:) thank you debs75 it's nice to hear about the positive support after a dx.

CappuccinoCarrie · 24/05/2011 18:37

Just caught up on the thread, glad you've got a dx and can move one with the right help eandz. Really hope it goes well for you too bec, you're all getting great support on here, glad to hear things are working well for you debs.
Been out in london all day, went to the fabulous science museum (although it took us a really long time to find the interactive under 6s bit, but it was fantastic when we eventually got there!!). My pelvis has now seized up after all the walking so I'm in for an evening of agony, but at least my mum's offered to get us a take-away so no one needs to cook!

Ooooh Scarborough, yes please! Yay for accepting house offer, exciting few weeks ahead of you then! Have you had an offer accepted on the place you want? Hope you get a good solicitor, they can make or break your experience and your will to carry on!

MN isn't working very well on my crackberry at the moment (pages take too long to load so I can't be bothered with it and just stick to FB and twitter) so I keep losing track of what's going on. Obviously the MN world is far more interesting and funny than RL Smile.

eandz Hope your DS's diagnosis can help you plan ahead and get some professional support in place.

Becaroooo · 27/05/2011 07:28

ninja hope you are ok my love?

carrie Yes we have has our offer accepted! Its really weird...we are buying my aunts old house!! I spent many happy times there as a youngster Smile We didnt get what we wanted for ours, but no one is atm are they?

The people who have it now (since 2007) have put central heating in, new windows and a new kitchen. It needs a new bathroom but we can so that next year.

Its the side of the village I prefer i.e. nearer my parents, ds1s school and the nursery toby will be going to...

Am excited!

Debs75 · 28/05/2011 08:29

Day 1 of potty training

Two hits and three misses so far, plus he weed in his nappy at sleep time. Fortunately he's very biddable and sits on the potty every 20mins when the beeper goes off on my phone. The problem is DD who is in hyper-whinge mode, and the fact that I'm not feeling very well. Slept for 13 hours last night having gone to bed when the DCs did. No sign yet that he knows that he's going to wee, but the two on the potty at least he seemed aware of as though he can wee on demand if there's something there.

CappuccinoCarrie · 30/05/2011 19:26

Well the day ended with 4 wees on potty and 2 wees and 1 poo in pants. No accidents this afternoon which is great. Going for another loooong night's sleep and we'll see what tomorrow brings!

Becaroooo · 30/05/2011 20:46

Good luck carrie

DebiTheScot · 31/05/2011 09:17

Good luck Carrie, we're nowhere near that stage yet. Might give it a go in summer hols.
And good luck Bec with the house move. I hope it's less stressful than the average housemove.

I have a confession to make: I'm cheating on you all with the mn runners! I discovered their thread and it's just like this one with lots of lovely people and general chat but with running as the common link rather than 2.5 yr olds. It moves v fast but I'm trying to keep up with you both.

I'm up in Dundee at the moment at my parents. We had the most awful train journey up (not helped by being just me & the boys) but are having a nice time here.

Debs75 · 31/05/2011 12:34

Carrie is it you who has the kindle? we got given one last week but we don't have wifi to connect it. \can we get away with doing it in starbucks?

Becaroooo · 31/05/2011 14:14

Its me debs You can use it anywhere there is wifi!!! Smile

debi Its ok...we can share you!! Grin

Very busy, very tiring week ahead...ds1 has stated his therapy (which means a long car journey and then an hour of therapy and then a car journey home for 10 consecutive days!!) and we are half way through.

Spent sunday afternoon stranded on the A53 for hours when dh's car broke down. Lovely. Left home at 9am got hime at 4pm Sad

Picking up hol tickets and euros today....whoo hoo!
