so is there going to be a mini meet up in London and then another one too? Or is the London one going to become the 'proper' one? Anyone can come Smile

Meglet · 12/05/2011 22:41

Grin at eandz's tattoo preferences. I do hope that if my dc's get tattoos they get good ones, and not too many of them. I have 5 little ones, only regret one of them.

Not sure if I'm brave enough for a london meet up with 2 dc's in tow. Our trip to the palace the other week nearly killed me Blush.

ninja · 12/05/2011 22:48

Clearly the North one will be the main one and you southern types can have one too if the idea of coming up here gives you nose bleeds Wink

I have an aunt and uncle in London so may even be able to make it to one down south as well - how exciting.

Kagey · 13/05/2011 05:38

Zoo sounds good :)

DD1 woke up at 4am for no apparent reason and climbed into my bed and kept me awake. Then as she fell asleep, DD2 woke up for a feed - it's going to be a long day. At this rate, once DD2 nods off, DD1 will wake :( .

Lollyheart · 13/05/2011 09:35

Anyone can come to London debi Smile

I think your house is going to be the main one.

I'm off to town after work to buy things to put in an adult pass the parcel. Let's hope ann summers have some little funny thing to put in each layer Grin

pacita · 13/05/2011 12:53

Very exciting all this meet up malarkey. I may even turn up at the northern one!

By the way ILTMIMI, how are you getting on? I remember lurking handless and powerless while endlessly breastfeeding when Inés was as little as yours is now... Hope all is going smoothly.

eandz · 13/05/2011 13:52

i'm going to try to go to all of the meet ups. (if that's okay). i really need to see this country one way or another.

DebiTheScot · 13/05/2011 14:37

Great idea eandz

Grrrr 2 fire alarms in 1 afternoon, just what my classes needed a couple of weeks before their Physics exams!

CappuccinoCarrie · 13/05/2011 14:51

debi I totally want to come to your house and will be down south in a couple of weeks but sadly I've already got plans for the days you're off :(
ninja I'm well up for the meet up at yours, great location for us!
eandz loving your see-the-country-by-mumsnet tactics. If its any consolation, I've lived here all my life but it was only while being driven to uni in York for the first time by my parents that I looked at the map and discovered its not by the sea Blush. Its still an awesome city though Grin

eandz · 14/05/2011 00:14

:) i'm just afraid that i'll end up moving away again. i've never in my life lived in one place longer than 5 years (except when I was growing up, where I lived in one place for 8 years). my mother was a military doctor.

Meglet · 14/05/2011 12:02

eandz What parts of the UK have you seen so far? Do you and your DH drive or do you have to do it all by train?

I haven't been up north for years. Scotland for over 20 years! I keep heading back to Cornwall every year, reminds me of childhood summer holidays Smile.

eandz · 15/05/2011 00:30

meglet

i've seen parts of london. i've been to a few european cities and I've been to oxford/cambridge/alton towers/thorpe park which is all in the UK. I feel like I really should see more. I would love suggestions. We have a car now, so I don't mind long drives--but sometimes it's just better to take trains, right?

Becaroooo · 15/05/2011 07:49

eandz North yorkshire is lovely...I can give you the details of a great b&b Smile

Also Dorset/Cornwall/ Devon. Went to Cornwall with friends when I was 17...dont remember much of it tbh!! Grin Been to Dorset a few times, would like to go to Devon.

Been to Scotland once...cottage overlooking Loch Tay. Was fab.

Derbyshire is gorgeous (biased) If you ever get the chance, go to Chatsworth!

ninja · 16/05/2011 09:36

So folks - what about a date?

eandz · 16/05/2011 11:32

June 7th in London, round noonish-1pmish at the battersea park zoo. (i think, if thats okay with everyone)

Debs75 · 16/05/2011 12:27

So that's the 'London' meet what about an accessible Northern meetup?

eandz · 16/05/2011 15:27

yes, sorry that's the london one.

pacita · 16/05/2011 15:57

Ouch, I'll be in Spain till the 8th that week for a wedding, but do go ahead and meet if it suits e e eryone. Who's in again?

Lollyheart · 16/05/2011 17:56

7th is good for me.

We need a date for debi's one Smile

DebiTheScot · 16/05/2011 22:16

I'll get onto it! Do we have any preferences for a Monday or Tuesday?

CappuccinoCarrie · 17/05/2011 14:45

ninja when are we coming to your house?!

ninja · 17/05/2011 16:37

I think MrsA works F/T some may have to be a weekend unless she fancies taking a holiday.

What's the best time for everyone? Grin

Lollyheart · 17/05/2011 16:57

debi i don't mind either day, but work Monday morning, so if it's going to be a early time I would prefer Tuesday Smile.

Not sure if I can make the london one on the 7th, I've got appointment for my gtt on that day.

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 17/05/2011 20:22

Hello. I do work FT but can probably take a day off on a Monday or a Friday. We're on our hols from 18 June to 4 July, but don't wait cos of me although it would be nice to meet up, I must admit!

eandz · 18/05/2011 11:02

Okay Lolly, wana do the week after?
