Moose Just popped on to get it out. Went back to bed fast and turned on the light, which surprisingly didn't disturb DH, and read for a bit. That put me out.

HKZ Hungover? Nice.

I'm I a bad wife and mother that I just sent DD in to wake DH up because I want to piss around here and drink my coffee without her tugging and climbing on me. lol Grin

Hello

Gorls poorly, dd2 has a cough and is sat in our bed with no intention of sleeping. Poor dd1 has been to A&E following a faint and being eally dizzy after. She finally went to sleep about 9.30. Not feeling great myself either.

Just checking in, sorry for not reading and posting properly. Be back soon!!

Teaandcakeplease · 28/03/2011 10:25

You ladies have to listen to the link I posted here: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/_chat/1181343-My-body-is-amazing It rocks!

stripeywoollenhat · 28/03/2011 13:48

hi everybody

missj, nesta is gorgeous and it's a lovely name: i hope babymoon is continuing...

moose, glad dcs behaved well at party, and that a good time was had by all

hkz, hope hangover (!) didn't last too long, and hope that you missed the troubled bit of the demo.

tree, hope dds both a bit less poorly today, and you as well

have read but not really retaining anything - i totally forgot how absolutely exhausting early pregnancy is - even this early! - i just want to go to bed all of the time. poor c is watching too much cbeebies, and i feel like a rubbish mum. oh well.

hope all days going well.

missjackson · 28/03/2011 16:45

omg tree, how to make a hormonal new mother weep - listened to it while feeding N - tears dripping all over her babygro.

tinksbabyis2 · 28/03/2011 21:50

Hi tree
Hope girls getting better
Hi stripey sorry for tiredness
Hi miss j nesta is adorable
Gd day here

GotArt · 29/03/2011 03:53

stripey Indeed on the exhausting front. Blah... main reason why this is the last one.

MJ Beautiful first picture of N. Gorgeous little bundle.

Tree Hope LO's are feeling better today.

Not much going on around here today. DH played hockey, DD and I went swimming, and it was dead because the March Break is over. Grin The leisure pool didn't have a ripple in till DD jumped in. Forgot to mention, not that its a huge news story or anything, but DH bought me a cookie press. Can't wait to get busy with it. Grin A wee bit odd, but I'm so into the baking thing this last year. (Nowhere near at the level of Moose's baking extravaganza's) Even DD's little friends now know that I am the one that comes with a container of cookies or mini muffins. I always have lots of fruit too. Grin But mostly cookies.

DH has tomorrow off for a bonus so we are going to our friend's restaurant for lunch, which is closed on DH's day's off so we never get to go there... I love it. The best hamburgers.

missjackson · 29/03/2011 11:41

GA I want your life with the restaurants and hamburgers.... what is a cookie press? Which reminds me, I don't think your question about what a sweep was ever got answered - it's where the midwife sort of 'sweeps' the membranes around your cervix in an effort to stimulate the hormones there to get things going - only supposed to work if you are ready or almost there anyway... hope that's right anyway, will rely on tree for a more informed answer if not...

tree hope you are enjoying that sleep right now....

sorry tea, realised it was you posting the link to poem not tree; tired mummy syndrome. I really couldn't stop crying for about 2 hours afterwards. I don't think I would have had the same reaction just reading it - it was her voice and the delivery. Don't know how Jenni Murray got it together afterwards!

Can't believe DD (DD!GrinGrin) is a week old today - had better not think about it otherwise I will start crying again. Have only left the house once but we are off to take N to his baby dance class this afternoon (we only started a few weeks ago, but he loves it - it's just movement and music really) so that will be nice.

Hope ill children better and hangovers cured!

missjackson · 29/03/2011 11:42

oh what is with all that bold?

Teaandcakeplease · 29/03/2011 11:46

I knew what you meant lovely MissJ x

moosemama · 29/03/2011 14:26

Hi folks,

I'm having a bad week - and its only Tuesday!

thread here

Have to go and be brave on the school run now - wish me luck!

tinksbabyis2 · 29/03/2011 17:15

oh mm have commented on your thread
thinking of you
you have to deal with so much it must ne so hard!!
hope it all goes ok picking him up today

GotArt · 29/03/2011 23:10

MJ Cookie press you just squeeze them out fast and furious. There's all sorts of shapes too, holiday and regular ones. Its very cool, IMO. Grin

Tea I'm not going to click on the link... I don't want to cry. Grin Maybe later. Been watching birthing videos with DD to get her prepared and I find myself blubbering and then more blubbering because DD starts to comfort me.

Moose Good grief. I don't have anything to offer. Its awful. Can you enquire around other parents whose children may have had problems with this boy? Just keep reminding DS that you are in his corner, its not his fault.

Hamburgers were great today. Midwife appointment good too... 31 weeks. Although, someone sideswiped our car, not much damage, but enough. Hit and run in a parking lot. Bloody hell. This was not in my horoscope. Grin

Hello to everyone else!

missjackson · 30/03/2011 09:36

MM read your thread - poor DS, how heartbreaking - seems like you've tried everything and still it keeps happening - I don't know what to say except hang in there and hope you are getting some support too - you are so strong for your DS.

Hi tink.

GA cookie press amazing - so you don't have to do all the rolling out and cutting out! (although that is N's favourite part)

Good night with LO - am so glad we are simply co-sleeping with no thought or hope of different bed for her. She seems to do about 3 hours between feeds at night which is as good as it gets I suppose. How's H sleeping these days hkz? And sounds like J is having a 6 month growth spurt or something dog!

Teaandcakeplease · 30/03/2011 14:18

Miss J can you pop by this thread: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/breast_and_bottle_feeding/1183140-Come-and-talk-to-me-about-tandum-feeding?o=1301491056471#24608515 I'm sure your advice would be fab.

The lady also has another thread which is where I know her from x

hackneyzoo · 30/03/2011 15:13

Bookmarking again had a busy few days. Love your pic of n missj, mmmmm, she's gorgeous. Hebe is sleeping pretty well am co sleeping this time around and she seems to go to sleep at 7 and doesn't wake til one then it's every three or four hours. Am savoring all this tiny baby snuggling as she is definitely the last! Three hour stretches sound ace for a nb. What does n think of her? J was a but unsure at first but is pretty sweet now

Stripey completely remember that exhausted feeling. I thunk I ended up going to bed at seven just to survive for the first few months. Is c any better? Did dr say anything?

Moose hope Ds is ok he is so lucky to have you. School sound rubbish. They are letting Ds down big time. Might be worth reminding them of the every child matters policy; each child should feel safe and valued.

Sorry not to catch up with everyone but am posting from my phone; am in soft play hell!

Ga wow@31 weeks that flew by!

GotArt · 30/03/2011 19:00

Bookmarking... Hope everyone is having a lovely Wednesday.. we let DH take the car to work today because the weather is so crumby. Windy and rainy.

tinksbabyis2 · 30/03/2011 20:56

Hi miss j nesta sounds lovely
Hi gotart wow not long for u glad midwife went well
Hi mm hope all going better today!
Hi dog hope girls better

Had a gd day today

moosemama · 31/03/2011 16:53

Hi all

Very quiet on here today. Have spent the day labelling and packing all the kit for ds1's outward bound weekend with the school.

Thought I'd come and share this video with you all. Its twin baby boys seemingly having an indepth conversation in their own language and is really funny, but at the same time fascinating.

My boys were transfixed by it and dd cried when I refused to play it again for the fourth time in a row. Grin

GotArt · 31/03/2011 20:47

Moose I saw that video on Ellen yesterday. Its brilliant. The best toddler conversation ever. I found it online to show DD and she wanted to see it again and again and again and again... Grin

OK... I'm coming on to brag a little. My cookie press rocks and I love it. Who would have thought that I would've been such a domestic goddess. Wink The cookies rock!

GotArt · 31/03/2011 20:50

Oh and a funny thing DD said at grocery store today... there is always a sea of gray hairs there before 10, so DD always attracts lots of attention because she sings and dances and such and one of the old men stop and chatted her up and asked her 'Where does your mummy get your cute pills?' DD laughed and said to me, 'Mummy, that man is funny', but the whole produce section heard her and had a laugh too. I love those funny little moments. They make my day.

moosemama · 31/03/2011 21:02

GA, you have made me go and google cookie presses to see how much they cost and I am now seriously tempted to buy one for myself, but know dh will tell me off, because we've already spent more than we could afford on the boy's birthday presents this week.

Did you know you can get automatic ones, so you don't even have to do the 'pressing' yourself Cookie Master Plus. Grin

So, ds is all packed up and ready to go. He is so ridiculously excited, he can hardly contain himself. Grin

moosemama · 31/03/2011 21:03

Lol at dd. I told dd earlier that I had to go to the toilet at which she looked at me very earnestly, stood there with her hands on her hips and said "are you pooey Mummy?" Grin
