omg dog, would be in heaven if N slept like that! I worry that he doesn't get enough sleep developmentally, so there's no winning... I think sleep is when they process everything, the more the better. Enjoy it! Is J the same? I remember A had mega naps too.

GotArt · 25/03/2011 21:03

My GP said that lots of sleep was good as they do process information at that time. I am a sleeper, DD is more like her Dad, sleep, then get up and go. I'm slowly training her to relax in bed more in the morning so in the last couple of days, when she comes in at 7.30, she crawls into our bed and snuggles for at least 30 minutes now instead of 5 before she's chanting 'Up Mummy, up... dinnertime.' When she was younger...lol... I was worried she'd never sleep. Since moving into the new place, her sleep has been amazing. Only restless on full moon nights and for the few days that her cold was in full swing. Her naps have been great too, not waking all cranky and everything.

MJ Lovely choice for name... although the other one was lovely too. Grin You couldn't have gone wrong with either.

stripey Hope LO in feeling better too.

There is a business across the street that has an intercom for phones and I think they've left it on by accident because now I hear it every 10 minutes... a wee bit annoying. Starts at 7am! Its just been the last 2 days. But can I be arsed to go over to enquire; no. Grin Hopefully they'll figure it out.

Hi all.

Some sad threads on mn at moment Sad

Such a really good name MJ, I really like it. Your babymoon sounds bliss. I had months of it with both of mine Grin Loved it.

Stripey, hope your little C is feeling better.

DOG, sounds like you ahve been enjoying the weather. Sorry you have been worrying about your little man [though not the littlest anymore!] He has made loads of pregress though, which you probably don't feel all the tome as you see him everyday. The future's bright, hang in there.

My dd2 is still stuck at 2 words, she did 3 words once but hasn't bothered since. Wonder if I should mention it to anyone? She's still young I think Hmm I think it's still within the normal limits of things. I don't know really.

Hope all others are ok, sorry for not reading and posting properly. Am bit fed up, but ok. Just fed up and snowed under with really important stuff I can't stop thinking about, but can't muster motivation to actually do

Ooo a drunken Dog thread - now that brings back some memories. Grin

Tree, sorry to hear you are feeling fed up and snowed under. Hope you manage some rest and time to catch up over the weekend.

I'd say trust your own instincts with dd. If you are concerned perhaps call and book her 2 year HV check and see what they think. I think it varies so widely from child to child and most just get going with speech when they're good and ready.

treedelivery · 26/03/2011 11:48

Morning

Hello Moose, DOG and Tink. I'm not concerned about her speech, more concerned I shoudl be concerened Grin. I'll see how she gets on this summer. She has the words, she just chooses to only use 10 of them, and never together HmmGrin
Her cutest words are Mouosh and housh. She has the cutest Dutch accent.

DOG - hope you had a good evening. Lovely to hear a tipsy thread, like days of old.

Hello 120 and MissJ, Pat and all.

Have come accross a few long transitional stages, but in hospital they'd almost certainly be augmented to be fair. I had one case where the contractions simply buggered off and the head took ages to deliver. I really fought to normalise it and let the lady move about and didn't start continuous monitoring or syntocinon......in the end the baby came and on reflection probably needed to come sooner. So I'm probably not the right person to ask. GrinHmm

Big Envy at the weight loss and excerise folks!! Have just had sausage sandwich Blush

GotArt · 26/03/2011 16:28

Good Morning All. Afternoon, I guess.

GotArt · 26/03/2011 16:29

Evening

Have just got home from a completely mad party for my SDad's 60th. There were 18 of us - 5 generations of us in all, from Great Nanna right down to my 15 month old nephew and all the ages in between. Two newbies were initiated into the fray, in the form of my younger sister's latest beau and my elder sister's new husband (who until now had managed to find an excuse not to attend any family do's). They both coped admirably. Grin Twas verrrry noisy and chaotic, but lots of fun. I was very proud of all three of my dcs who were really well behaved throughout. We have all eaten far too much cake though and ds1 says he has a jelly belly, because he finished off all the jelly at the end of the party. Grin

Am going to have a quiet one tomorrow to recover and try to ignore my to do list, which is now four sides of A4 and counting. Hmm

moosemama · 26/03/2011 20:50

Cross posted. Hi 120, thanks for the reminder about the clocks - I've been told several times today already and had still forgotten. Don't they go forward this time though? Confused

Another reminder - census day tomorrow.

Teaandcakeplease · 26/03/2011 21:24

Yes they go forward Smile I changed mine an hour ago so I wouldn't forget Grin

treedelivery · 26/03/2011 23:22

Sounds fabby Moose, glad yo all enjoyed. It's lovely when the kids make you swell with pride isn't it.

Am wracking my brains for a kinaesthetic learning activity for a couple of really struggling students. Cooooo-eeeee thread teachers. Come and save me!

GotArt · 27/03/2011 02:12

The way I remember is spring forward, fallback. Grin We put ours back 2 weeks ago... I've not been able to find out why... not that I've done any heavy research.

Pretty lazy day around here. Hung a shelf and some pictures. Played on the balcony. DH went in to work at 5am to do bread because his bread maker is stuck in Seattle because he lost his, his wife's and child passports! Shock He came home for 1, slept, went back for 5. DD was so sad (all a show) when he left. I'm thinking I must put her into acting... she is so dramatic.

Neighbours are moving in on both sides of us... one side is rather noisy. She is outside smoking yelling in at her OH about not putting 'that' there. Good grief. lol.

Well, I'm off to bake some more cookies... just what my ass needs. Grin

GotArt · 27/03/2011 12:00

ARGH!!! Its 4 am and I've been awake since 1.30.

moosemama · 27/03/2011 12:04

Oh GA, you poor thing, what a pita.

Get of the computer, it'll only disturb your sleep patterns more. Try a warm bath and a hot chocolate/milk or reading a boring book?

hackneyzoo · 27/03/2011 14:42

Book marking....hungover....took hebe on her first demo yesterday Smile
