Evening ladies
Hi mm Grin
Dss trip sounds gd
Hi got art dd does sound cute

Had gd day here

GotArt · 31/03/2011 22:01

OMG Moose! Sweet and savory recipes to boot!!! I like the decorating tips too. I've only got sweet ones, which I've just eaten a pile of the ones I made today. Good thing I've signed up for the half-marathon in October as I reckon I will be having to loose some serious weight after this baby comes or at least try to maintain where I'm at. Although, I've only gained 3 pounds since last month, not too bad I think. The one I bought is linked above but it cost half price because I bought it at Winner's, which is a store that buys then sells brand name stuff for half price, last years goods sort of thing. Still good in my book. I bought some gorgeous Ralph Lauren whisky glasses for a home warming present when we moved for $30! for 4. lol at you being pooey.

Hello Tink!

tinksbabyis2 · 01/04/2011 09:38

hi gotart :)

treedelivery · 01/04/2011 10:11

Hello all

GotArt glad to hear all is well, bummer about the car though. Loving all the cookie talk.

Stripey, is C any better?

Hello to MissJ, sounds like you ahve a settled little person there Smile H-bomb can't be relied on to sleep 3 hours now, and she is 2 HmmGrin

Can't really remember anything else Blush I continue to drown in work. Can't do anything about it as I have fallen and really hurt my whole left side f bdy, shoulder especially. On nights tonight so ned to get better and get sling off, so off to bed. Can't be sick, have had 1 episode and if you have 2-3 in 6 months you have to go to human rescources with your manager and be grilled. It goes on your record, so think I better just go on and take lots of painkiller.
Will be stuffed if I'm on delivery suite though,

Too much to worry about so am off to bed instead. Night all!

stripeywoollenhat · 01/04/2011 10:38

hi everybody

tree, sorry you have hurt yourself: hope at least you'll have an admin type evening. sick policy sounds kind of unreasonable to me. sleep well.

gotart, yum, cookies. and moose, i'm not looking at cookie press link, the tendency for flapjacks to just appear in this house is enough to be contending with Grin

hkz - sounds like h is pretty good on the sleeping front: i am thinking of making an offering to hypnos (perhaps of flapjacks) that this one (if s/he makes it) is one of those 'twelve hours and then a three hour nap, please' kind of little ones....

oh, and c is better, thanks for asking - we've taken milk out of her diet and no more vomiting, so i guess she has post-viral lactose intolerance. it's probably temporary - though maybe she just is slightly intolerant of raw milk, so we're going to do without it for at least a while.

better go and do something useful while c is at nursery, i guess...

moosemama · 01/04/2011 11:00

Tree you poor thing, its ridiculous that you have to work when you have been injured. Dh's company has a similar policy, but its actually a disciplinary if you're off twice in a 6 month period - they shouldn't be allowed to treat people like that.

Hope you manage to get through your shift ok, will send vibes.

Stripey, pleased to hear dd is feeling better. Ds1 always gets post viral milk intolerance, but it took us until he was four to work it out Blush so you're way a head of the game compared to us.

So, ds1 was too excited to sleep last night and actually got up at 11.45 pm when we went to bed because he was convinced it was time to get up! Shock

He's gone off this morning with his suitcase, sleeping bag, backpack and a bag of gluten free food. Sad 'Orrid little urchin, didn't even look back at me either. Grin

I was fine until I got home and found his beloved bunny lying abandoned on the sofa - then I sobbed. Blush Fortunately dh was still around to give me a hug. Dd is now 'looking after' bunny while he's away - something tells me their might be a battle to re-establish ownership on his return though. Grin

Dd and I are meeting dh at the school gates at 12.45 to wave the coach off and I have had stern words with myself to make sure I don't cry in front of him. [daft bat emoticon] He'll be back on Sunday afternoon - its gonna be awfully quiet around here for a couple of days. Sad Grin

treedelivery · 01/04/2011 11:22

Awww Moose. Bless. I'll fairly gibber when dd goes off somewhere. She used to go off for 2 nights every week when I worked away and used to spend a few nights at her other nanna's too. Since school that has all had to stop so I'll be heartbroken. Maybe I won't be, maybe I'll be delighted to have a rest Grin She went for a week in last years 6 weeks holiday and I missed her but in a good way.

It's diferent when it's relatives though, so I can imagine just how you feel. I hope he has a real blast.

never said howdy to HKZ Blush sounds like H is doing ok on the sleeps. Yay yay yay for co-sleeping it seems Grin

My shoulder hurts Sad It sort of burns.

moosemama · 01/04/2011 11:32

Thought you were going to bed m'lady?

Have you had it checked out - sure nothings broken?

treedelivery · 01/04/2011 11:36

I can't relax today Hmm Typical, not a child in the house and I can't enjoy it. If you see what I mean. SOunds like I want them out of the house [blsuh]

It looks ok, it only hurts when I move it in certain directions. I can't be bothered going to dr. Lazy cow I am, plus getting dressed hurts. My fingers are a bit numb but I can tyoe to my usual bad standard. So I've decided it's bruised and inflamed.

Your dh's sick policy is same as ours.

moosemama · 01/04/2011 12:03

Sorry I disappeared, was trying and failing to catch up on the ME thread.

Have you taken some anti-inflammatories - silly questions, of course you have - ignore me teaching you to suck eggs. Blush

I get so angry about these sick policies, they're inhumane. In dh's case the bosses are the type of high flyers that are never ill - the type you love to hate. They almost never see their families, so don't catch bugs off their kids and because they're never ill, obviously it follows that no-one else is allowed to be either. That said, they are also the ones that have the right to 'work from home' so even if they were ill they'd never admit it. B*stards!

tinksbabyis2 · 01/04/2011 13:15

Hi
Dog sorry ur busy and injured
Striped glad dd on the$end
Hi mm bless ds

moosemama · 01/04/2011 13:25

He's gone. My pfb has gone on a dangerous outward bound weekend! Shock Sad

Dh made it in time to wave him off with dd and I and he was ok, until they kept the engine running too long, instead of just heading straight off and then I noticed him trying to force back some tears. Fortunately his seatbelt wasn't working, so they moved him and his best friend to some different seats, which worked well to distract him.

Just realised I have nothing nice in the house to give ds2 as his Friday afternoon treat, so I have to go and bake a chocolate cake now. Still, he will be chuffed that I've made a cake especially for him and he can have chocolate because ds1 isn't here so it will be doubly special, so it'll be worth it.

moosemama · 01/04/2011 13:26

Missed your post somehow Tink. Confused Hope all's well with you and yours. Smile

tinksbabyis2 · 01/04/2011 20:45

Hi mm bet ds will hv a gr8 time
Choccy cake 4 ds2 sounds yum
Yes all gd here mm have had a gd day

moosemama · 01/04/2011 20:53

Good to hear it tink.

The chocolate cake is scrumptious, if I do say so myself! Grin We had cheese and potato pie with baked beans for tea as well, because ds1 refuses to eat either potato or baked beans, so we never get to have it normally and - another treat for ds2. He was in his element. Grin

GotArt · 01/04/2011 22:38

Good evening ladies.

Tree Hope you manage to get some sleep and your shoulder isn't throbbing too much. I'm blown away with the sick leave policies of some companies.

Moose Mmm, chocolate cake. Grin

Another rainy day here, and by the weather report, in for some more for another week! ARGH! I need to get my garden planted and I would love to go for a walk... its too rainy even for a west coast outdoor walk.

GotArt · 02/04/2011 16:26

Have reached that point where sleeping is becoming increasingly more difficult and restless. Grrr.

At least its not raining today.

Teaandcakeplease · 02/04/2011 17:37

Tree can you see a chiropractor about your shoulder? It sounds very painful.

((hugs)) for lovely Moose, you sound like such a lovely mummy and can I have the recipe for the cheese and potato pie and the chocolate cake? Wink

GotArt when's that lovely baby due?

Wow what a great day here; my friend runs a pony share scheme and had a milkshake fundraising day so we popped along. DD was in her element and helping muck out stables, stroke horses and feed them hay and generally being seriously cute. Love her!

tinksbabyis2 · 03/04/2011 10:31

happy mothers day xx

PatTheHammer · 03/04/2011 11:00

Happy mothers day to all, have lovely days.

DD woke me up at 8am with a nice Egg baguette and a pretty card...............lovely but a bit too early for my liking on the one day I am entitled to be lazy! DH is hungover and in charge of doing the roast for us and MIL. Should be fun!

moosemama · 03/04/2011 16:34

Happy Mother's Day everyone!

I had croissants and strawberries in bed with ds2 and dd at 9.00 am. Ds2 bought me a giant toblerone and had made me a really pretty card and dd and I had made a card at toddler group, which dh got her to 'write ' in. Ds1 was of course still on his outward bound weekend.

Spent the whole day rushing to take gifts and cards to DM and MIL then get back in time to pick up ds1 from the coach, which was a whopping 40 minutes late, with parents and siblings stood on the side of the road waiting and dark clouds threatening us overhead.

Turned out several children had been sick on the coach and they'd had to keep stopping to slop and mop it out. One of these children was ds's best friend, who had thrown up over ds's backpack. Hmm We then received said backpack, in a bin-liner, complete with sick. Bleurgh!

The heavens did indeed open, just as the kids started disembarking from the coach and we were caught up, first in heavy rain, then in a hailstorm whilst trying to organise 46 children and match them up with suitcases and sleeping bags.

Anyway, the Head and teachers said ds had a fantastic time, was a delight to have and cried when he had to leave. He is now soaking a weekend's worth of mud off in a warm bath.

I am grabbing the only opportunity for some 'me' time I've had all day, after getting changed into dry clothes and drying my hair. Then I have to do all the housework downstairs (place is an absolute tip) and prepare for my meeting with the inclusion team tomorrow to discuss ds1's statementing request.

GotArt · 03/04/2011 18:29

Happy Mother's Day Ladies. Although ours isn't till May, we are having a lazy Sunday for sure.

Pat Hope the roast goes well... Grin Sounds nice with DD and Egg Baguette, even if it was early.

Moose Nice too with the strawberries and croissants with DC's... and chocolate. Grin Ick about sick and backpack... poor little friend. And hail! Crazy weather at this time of the year. Enjoy your me time.

Waiting for fry up and then we are off for a woods walk... its sunnyish today, again. Grin
