Oh I was going to ask patito and frigg and anyone else who remembers how long was it from commando type crawling to proper crawling that means I'll be chasing Orlaith and whipping things away from her constantly?

I've got exams in 2 weeks so want it to be after that.

Dixiebell · 22/04/2011 17:11

saoirse, he works for a radio station. It's only the usual working week but with commute, he's out 7.15am - 7.30pm so he doesn't get much time with Arlo and I do get a little bit like I'm counting down the hours by early mid-afternoon. Makes such a difference when he's home so it's nice that he's got holiday now [bugrin].

beaditAli · 22/04/2011 20:05

Happy Easter lovelies! [bugrin]
Am troffing choccy eggs like there's no tomorrow so this post will take me a while to type heeeeheeeeeheeeee [bugrin]

Loving catching up after not having a second of time recently to spare. Yay to Olly for teeth! Loving the naughty sex toy tale! [buwink] and exam goodlucks being sent! Hospitals are officially wank always busy so hate them too Friggaligg

DH broke his wrist last Sunday and is STILL awaiting an op to screw it back together! Spent 2 days in hospital back and forth with Jack etc waiting for a non existent bed [bushock]
He can't pick Jack up, hold anything and has really settled on the sofa so feeling a bit like a single mum at the mo [busad]..... just shows how much I rely on his help [bublush]

Jack has gone from sleeping for 11-12 hours straight to being a numpty at night recently as he wakes flat on his face and can't get back tho has no trouble with flipping over and over in the day. Hoping he'll suss this out soon.
Had his helmet fitted on Monday and unbelievably we can already see an improvement. It does look a bit severe tho most people think it's some new age sun hat! [buhmm]
The difference in his ears is plain to see when you measure the ear holes on the helmet. They're miles out! He's sleeping in it at night and is totally non the wiser so really pleased we went ahead. I do think that the NHS will be treating severe cases of Plagiocephaly in the future! They have to! They still don't know we've gone private so I wonder if our NHS referral will turn up before 2012! hahahahahahah

Got to go ladies........ DH still parked on the sofa so have to go and do............. everything and drink Wine

Hope everyone has had a brill week and is enjoying 7 months/ish as much as me [bugrin] (that's genuine too...... realised it might sound sarky after all my maoning!) [buconfused]

We weren't allowed eggs until easter Sunday as kids beaditAli and that is the tradition we follow in this house, so even though there are quite a few here we haven't eaten any of them! Hope your dh is feeling better soon and glad you feel you've done the right thing with the helmet. I am enjoying the 7 months, I love it now Luke can sit he's so much more contented and everyone comments on how smiley he is, every face he sees gets a smile as long as they look at him!

I'm very [buenvy] Debs75! We live a few miles from Centreparcs and would love to go but the prices are a bit out of our price range for a holiday.

Isit just me or is anyone wondering what exactly was on Saoirse86's bed? Maybe I am just very naive but the description has got me wondering [bublush]

Hope you are all well soon FriggFRIGG

Been swimming today after I did my census duties and it was lovely, very cooling and there was almost no one there! Luke loved it as usual and he went in the leisure pool which is normally too cold and makes him cry so we were all together most of the time [bugrin]. Off to Legoland tomorrow courtesy of clubcard vouchers, just hope it's not too busy! Hope everyone enjoys the rest of the easter weekend.

And forgot to say I did something I never thought I'd do ever this week and fed Luke while walking around Tesco!! He was so hungry and I didn't want to stop and end up getting home too late but it's something I always thought weirdos did, so I guess that makes me a weirdo!

saoirse86 · 22/04/2011 21:22

cinnamon they're not that exciting, just don't look phallic (sp?) iykwim.
And my sister always feeds whilst wondering around, and she's definitely weird! [buwink]

beadit I'm glad the hat's doing its job.

dixie that should be good then having your DH around. And sorry beady your DH can't do much [busad] I often feel like DP doesn't do much, but I think if he wasn't around I'd soon notice how much I rely on him. (Don't tell him that though!)

DP has probably eaten about 30 easter eggs so far, no joke, I think he started in February! [buhmm]

SeaChelles · 23/04/2011 21:08

Check out the video of Olly on FB everyone - its soooo lovely even if I so say so myself!

MammyG · 23/04/2011 21:22

FriggFrigg Please write into the hospital and complain! These things only ever change when people voice their concerns. A friend of mine wrote in about hygiene levels and another issue on the childrens ward of the hosp here and it made a difference! When I was in hospital with Phoebe there was a baby in the room next to her whos mum and dad couldnt visit often and I offered to help feed her but protocol doesnt allow anyone that isnt a nurse or have express permission of parents to be there!
All fine here - enjoying lovely weather. Trying to get fit - its slooooww going! Will I ever fit back into my jeans!

beaditAli · 24/04/2011 21:47

Very quiet on here at the mo.
I need any advice on milk intake.......? Confused
The past 2 nights Jack has seriously projectiled in bed. The first night it was the whole bottle he'd just drunk at around 2am. (thinking now that he probably didn't need milk but more water), the second was tonight as soon as I'd put him down after his bedtime bottle.
I was surprised he was able for 7 oz after having his dinner about an hour and a half before hand.
Surely tho, if he wasn't hungry for it he wouldn't take it????
Still no teeth yet but VERY firm gums. Any projectile occur for our enamel club members upon the arrival of shiny whites?

The only other milk he has is at around 3pm when he'll have about 7oz.
He's having 3 meals a day with small amounts of water or really diluted juice between.

Thanks lovelies......................

ummm,im not sure because of the BF FF differences..
but Arlo did get a bit sicky just before the entrance of tooth no1....
but he stil BFs on demand, and only has 1-2 'meals' a day....oh sorry,im useless i hope someone else comes along soon....[bugrin]

patito · 25/04/2011 13:30

Hi [busmile]

saoisre It varies so much for each child, Maia goes from commando, to crawl, back to commando to pulling herself along on the sofa rolls over and starts of again Confused

Frigg I cant believe the hospital, glad Skye is ok though.

bead sorry, cant really help here, Maia gets sicky when she´s got a cold but not really the projectile stuff.

We had a good easter, did a easter egg hunt for DS and a couple of his friends, they dont do it over here, nor the chocolate so no chocolate egg for me and I did Lent Angry.

Wondering if they´ll be wedding related smileys for next week. It must be mad over there, as its in every newspaper and on the TV all the time here.

beaditAli · 25/04/2011 20:51

Hahahaha patito........ not really. Unless you buy papers you'd hardly know about it except for all the Union Jack table decor EVERYBODY is selling. We could just be celebrating red, white and blue! Wink
I think i'm the only person I know that wants to see Kate walking down the aisle. Totally not fussed about our royals really but a new princess in a sparkly dress and I'm like Tinkerbelle on helium with excitement Grin

I'm thinking that Jack was just over eating. He's been having more solids this week and wasn't eating tea until 6pm ish then was having his bottle an hour or two later so today I made lunch and tea earlier with no milk inbetween and he seems fine now having had a bottle at bedtime.
A tooth is peeping through tho I just know. Hopefully the next week or so. Funny how you think they're always appearing until you see white under the gum for real AGES later....... then you know what it is for real.

DH STILL not had his op to fix his broken wrist Sad only 10 days since the brake! Shock
Today I kidnapped him from hospital and took him to my folks for a scrummy meal and to see Jack.... returned him 4 hours later and the nurses are nion the wiser! What fun Grin Grin

Hope everyone has had a GORGEOUS weekend! Grin xxxxxxxxx

Luke has tea at 6.30 and milk at 7.30 with no projectile vomitting beaditAli but if changing timings has worked then yay for Jack! Glad you had some time out of hospital with dh, terrible he's not had it sorted though.

Ds1 has been a PITA today and not really sure why [busad]. His speech is improving so fast and it's really exciting! Luke almost has tooth no. 4 and had a few licks of my ice cream yesterday, tried to swallow the whole thing though [bushock]. Cooked another birthday cake for ds1 today for his actual birthday wednesday but still got to get something for him to take to school.

Had a bit of flip out today, not really sure why but I decided that no one needed me and that the kids all prefer dh so I was going to leave them all!!

JodeyBogeyPicker · 26/04/2011 07:09

Morning all. Had a kittle read and catch up yesterday and seems like there are lots of babies on the move. Harlyn is rolling to get get around. He spends a bit of time on his tummy and tries to move his legs whilst pushing up on his arms but no where near crawling yet, not even bum shuffling or belly pushing [buconfused]. he always tries to sit up from lying down which liks luke he's doing crunches at the gym. He seems to prefer playing whilst sitting up.

We have moved in to our new home now and have been enjoying the weather in our huge garden! Just need some furniture for inside now.

Off to Cornwall on Saturday and can't wait. The Ergo is gona get some major use.

beaditAli · 26/04/2011 17:52

Jack's joined The Enamel Club!!!! Yay yay yay! Grin

Arlo Grin

hooray for JACK Grin

ooh how do you like your ERGO jodey...im still loving mine,DD loves it too so her and Arlo have too fight with puppy dog eyes over who gets to use it Grin where abouts in cornwall are you off to...its loovely there

JodeyBogeyPicker · 26/04/2011 19:26

I'm loving the Ergo Frigg. Harlyn us really heavy and the other two I had were literally killing my shoulders and back but in the Ergo, I could carry him for hours no trouble. We are off to St Merryn (spelling???) which is right near padstow. There is a beach there called Harlyn Bay which is where we got the LO's name from. Just can't wait to get there. I'm going again Whitsun week. Praying for good weather.

Great news on the teeth front Beadit. Go Jack.

newmum001 · 26/04/2011 20:12

Yay for jack. If he's anything like Grace he'll have 8 by this time next month!

We're having a bit of an issue at the minute! Grace will only take a bottle off me, will only go to sleep on me, is waking in the night for comfort and if DP goes to get her she won't settle for ages but when i go she settles in minutes and basically goes berserk every time i leave the room. She can be distracted by toys etc but the feeding and sleeping if really starting to get DP down (and me if i'm honest) we've just been asked to go out on sunday night but the only way we can do it is if we put Grace to bed first and even then i'll be worried she'll wake up before we're back and get hysterical!

Anyone else going through a clingy stage??

newmum001 · 26/04/2011 20:14

just read that back and it looks like we'd put her to bed and go out, my mum would of course be babysitting Grin

cinnamongreyhound · 26/04/2011 20:46

Yes me newmum001! But Luke is fine if I am not there but if he can see me he wants me. He will be happily sitting on dh and I come into the room so he starts whinging if I then walk away from him he absolutely screams and won't settle until I pick him up. I remember ds1 being the same and it's a well known thing around 7 months as they start to understand that they are separate from you and that you can leave them. It depends on the child but it tends to get better after 9 months.

Yay for Jack beaditAli!! Luke's fourth one has popped through today. I am amazed that Grace has 8 teeth, that is scary!! Ds1 still only had 2 at this age.

Have a lovely holiday JodeyBogeyPicker, I loved Padstow! We went on a speedboat there and apart from being terrified I was so worried I would damage Luke as it was so bumpy!

I have started to give Luke much lumpier food now and am mixing little pasta shapes and rice into his food and he has taken to it without any trouble at all. Ds1 spat out food with lumps for quite a few attempts so it was lovely that he just ate it. Right got to go and wrap ds1's presents for tomorrow, cake done, sweets for school friends bought. This time 4 years ago I had already been in labour 22 hours and he wasn't born until 11.20 the next morning, why on earth did I have a second one?!? Have started working on dh about no. 3, although not planning on trying for at least another year but have to lay the foundations!

newmum001 · 26/04/2011 21:04

Thank god it's not just Grace being clingy! I think we'll attempt Sunday night but just go local so we can get home quickly if anything happens. She adores my mum but it might be a different story if she wakes expecting me to go and see her and my mum turns up instead. If i could get her to open her mouth properly i'd take a picture of her teeth (might make it my mission tomorrow) she looks soooo goofy and cute it looks like theres too many to fit in her little mouth already! x

JodeyBogeyPicker · 27/04/2011 09:44

Lol on the goofy comment newmum as I think the same when I look at Harlyn. Though he's only got 6! Two at the top 4 at the bottom. He has been very clingy when his gums hurt as I can't put him down to play on his own and if I walk out the room and he sees me then he'll cry but when his teeth aren't playing him up he's fine with anyone.

Padstow is fab! I love it cinnamon. We go at least twice every year and have done for the past 10 years. Happy birthday to your little man for tomorrow. Hope he has a lovely day x x

JodeyBogeyPicker · 27/04/2011 15:55

[cgrin]

newmum001 · 27/04/2011 20:21

happy birthday big-little cinnamon. Hope you've all had a lovely day!!

Jodey she really does look like all teeth at the minute, they seem to have taken over her whole face lol

Attempting a new bedtime routine with grace tonight and hoping that helps but i'm not telling everyone about it cause i don't want to jinx it, fingers crossed for us please!!!

cinnamongreyhound · 27/04/2011 21:39

Thanks, ds1 had a lovely birthday [cgrin] but is now 4 [csad]. Got more pressies and another cake, plus a pretend cake with candles at school and sweeties for all his friends. He got a woody from my mum who he's snuggled up in bed with now.

Luke has started to sleep through again waits for him to wake up again due to mn jinx but he won't go to sleep without crying [csad].

Fingers crossed for you newmum001!

bananacurry · 28/04/2011 08:29

beady what planet are you living on?? The wedding is EVERYWHERE! Turn on the tv, it on. Open the paper, its there. Go to the shops, Its there! Open your eyes girl! [cgrin]

Ok, so is Olly the only one left with no teeth? He's one of the eldest. 8 months on sunday! Come on Olly dob dob!

Had a lovely few days away in scarborough. Both the boys were brilliant but my legs are killing from all the hills!

Happy birthday big little cinnamon! (copying Newmum!)

Talking of next babies, Still no news from Sassy??
