Myjob that sounds dreadful. Could you go to bed as soon as they are asleep after bedtime?

Honeymoonmummy · 02/04/2011 13:15

MyJob, I stopped feeding him at 11 the night before, set my alarm for 3 and slept thro it and I only woke at 5.30 and then STILL had to rouse him for a feed!!!

ronshar · 02/04/2011 13:16

HMM I wouls say it stings rather than hurts. I used to soak a fannel, sit in the bath and just squeeze it so the liquid kind of ran into the right places, if you see what I mean. After DD1 (27hrs induced Back to Back labour, epidural, episiotomy, Ventouse delivery) I found it helped to dry out the stitches. They dont get much air time otherwise. I also used to put towel under my bum and just lay down for an hour or so with nothing on! DH keeped outof my way alot in the first couple of weeks of DD1 birth. Grin
I wouldnt get into a bath of salt water as it wouldnt be that good for the rest of you.

Myjob. I found a basic recipie that uses rice milk & oil, but I changed to Oat milk. They are rising ok. But could taste like poo. I will let you know in about 15 mins.
I hope you get soem sleep soon. DD2 & DS have both been ill with this horrible bug going around. Poor H has been so poorly for about 4 weeks now. She has missed loads of gym. It has left her with a horrible cough that take all her energy away. As you know that is some doing for H to be worn outHmm

ronshar · 02/04/2011 13:17

Sorry Star I thought you werent around. Should have put a TMI warning for youGrin

StarExpat · 02/04/2011 13:26

Pepper I hope it doesn't spread to everyone. Is it possible to quarantine? What a nightmare for you :(

Wow hmm that he sleeps so much. I hope he stays that way for you!

Ronshar oatmilk just makes them taste sweeter. I've tried it :)

Honeymoonmummy · 02/04/2011 13:38

Ha ha Ronshar! Thanks. By the way, is it normal to still be (sorry Star!) losing big clots by day 10??

Honeymoonmummy · 02/04/2011 13:40

X-post - so do I Star!!

Ronshar, how much salt do I use???

Honeymoonmummy · 02/04/2011 13:40

I'm remembering all the stupid questions I keeP forgetting to ask today! Grin do you all give your LOs slices of meat eg packet ham? I read somewhere that processed meat bad for you long term so been steering clear a bit but she doesn't eat much meat full stop. Do you buy premium/ deli stuff or just off supermarket shelf? I'm a complete novice when it comes to meat having spent half my life as a veggie.

oh crikey, emma has cold meat and salad for most of her lunches. I just use the sliced packed stuff off the shelf that looks like real meat rather than reformed. I limit the ham, its mostly the chicken peices.

Is that bad? I guess i could just cook meat at home and give it to her cold instead, it wouldn't be too big a deal...

to be honest she doesn't eat a lot of the meat and i think that in general we don't need as much meat as we think we do (assuming we are meat eaters in the first place!)

re the clots, anything bigger than a 50p you should tell your MW... first time around i had a lot of clots for quite a while (a few weeks) but nothing too big.

Clarks 7h star (so startrite 6.5h). It's the h that's the problem. There isn't even a good selection on the Clarks or startrite websites themselves at the moment.

Honeymoonmummy · 02/04/2011 20:27

I've had 3+ nights of poppy standing at her safety gate in her room doorway alternately shouting and crying 'mummy' for at least an hour and staying awake till about 10. Any ideas cos I'm at the end of my fucking tether with it
