Awww that's a lovely post MyJob, thanks, are you trying to make Star cry again?? Grin Sorry to hear you're so tired, could it be anaemia maybe?

Have just found the most gorgeous photo of Pops on my camera, have just put it on FB. More baby photos will follow soon...

Midwife checked stitches this morning and I have small infection in wound, not bad enough for antibiotics, I just have to wipe the area regularly [barf]. I am gonna have to grow some balls to do that cos frankly I was planning to not touch the area for the next six months weeks.

I am feeling much better in myself though, the stitches feel better too.

KSal · 29/03/2011 15:32

ah myjob and you thought N wasn't ready for PT! Emma is doing ok... she'll go for about a week completely clean and dry (inc night) then she'll randomly have a few accidents in a day then she'll be back to doing it really well again Confused

hmm lovely pic of Poppy. I have been getting quite emotional with all these posts from people with two kids a little older now... Emma was really clingy with DH at the start when Orin was born and misbehaved quite a lot to get our attention... but she is a lot better now. Still competes for cuddles though. Hardest thing was the BF for me as it took up so much time at the start, but just keep reminding yourself that its for such a short time in the scheme of things and it will all be fine eventually.

Thanks Ksal. Pistachio, what were you thinking banning cbeebies?? Cbeebies is your friend Grin Seriously, hope your DH gets home soon to give you a much needed rest, just think of that nice glass of wine tonight ....

I think DS has oral thrush, 3 White spots on roof of mouth and White Tongue. I think I've caught it early tho as he's not having probs feeding and I dont have any pain. Probably because of strep B ABs. I'm waiting for call back from docs to see if they need to see him before prescribing, we have to go register him before they will give prescription.

These stories are sweet and bring tears to my eyes but I'm still very happy and confident sticking with one. I think Q will have a wonderful life either way :)

Q is dry at night but I still won't let him sleep without a pull up. Just in case. He's not bothered either way just so exhausted by sleep times he'll agree to whatever I put on him.

Well done to all of the PT toddlers! :)

Pistachio I think you're mad banning cbeebies, too! I always get so angry with myself for giving out consequences at school that will really affect my time... But it's difficult in the moment! So I understand it's easily done. Good luck teaching tonight :)

KSal · 29/03/2011 19:42

right.... this is a little delicate, but ever since PT, Emma has had really bad nappy rash. She's v sore front and back iyswim. We're being v careful about wiping, been trying bepanthen, metanium and latterly an antifungal cream from the GP but its still really bad. Poor little thing is really sore. Any ideas? I thought we would see the end of sore bits when we got rid of the nappies... Sad

Does she sleep with a bare bottom Ksal? - that might help to get a bit of air down there. Very occasionally I still put a bit of sudocrem on one of the boys to sort out some soreness so i don't think it's unusual, just bad luck, poor thing.

Oh poor Emma :( can oilatum Jr be used down there? If it can, definitely give it a try. Metanium hasn't worked at all?

Myjob- thanks. Hopefully I won't make too many mistakes or let him hit his head too many more times Wink

Honeymoonmummy · 29/03/2011 20:46

Poor mite Ksal. I'd second the sudocrem, I've always found that to be the best. Re her sleeping with bare bum, I guess you could put down waterproof sheets/ put a big beach towel underneath her assuming she not yet trained at night?

Honeymoonmummy · 29/03/2011 20:49

Oh DH went to doctor for me and they gave him clotrimazole. Packet says don't use for Breastfeeding unless benefits outweigh risks. is this the right stuff for my nipples? Should i apply it after feeds so max time before DS possibly injests?? Am off to research before I start this. I'm also gonna wash all my bras at 60, is there anything else I need to be doing?

StarExpat · 29/03/2011 21:08

Flucanazole oral tablet combined with the stuff that begins with N for Q's mouth was the only combination that worked for thrush for me. Creams on nipples didnt help at all. Yes to washing on high heat.

Hmm I remember quite vividly feeling a stinging and burn whenever I'd try to wipe as instructed down there for first few weeks after birth. And midwives coming around, looking and saying "oh my you are bruised... and oh... Well, it will heal. Be gentle with yourself" Hmm yeah... Because I had any other choice... I didnt even dare look or ask questions. It's better that way IMO. I hope it heals soon for you and I certainly empathise.

StarExpat · 29/03/2011 21:15

Nystatin I think. Bur it never worked for me. Only for Q.

Honeymoonmummy · 29/03/2011 21:17

Thanks Star! Smile

Am going to put my bras on at 90 and hope they survive then iron them Grin

StarExpat · 29/03/2011 21:21

They will survive 90 for sure. But I don't iron so can't help you there :)

If it doesn't seem to go, though, do ask for oral tablet. It started working within hours for me after much agony.

Honeymoonmummy · 29/03/2011 21:30

Thanks. It seems from other threads clotrimazole is the right thing so will start tonight.

omg - who is it who goes to paulton's park? I have to take mine here www.peppapigworld.com/

StarExpat · 30/03/2011 09:52

OH csws I saw that earlier! I might take Q on one of the days that DH is working and I'm on holiday. Not many of those Hmm as DH gets the aforementioned holiday schedule, while mine includes the bank holidays, for 2 weeks +1 day starting 18th April.

Dh argues, "but you get out in June"
Fair enough, I guess.

I also want to go to a Days out with Thomas. Need to dig into the sofa cushions for cash!

At a train station, they have Thomas come and some friends and you can ride on Thomas...etc. The nearest one to me is the Watercress Line. It's mad expensive, though.

CantSleepWontSleep · 30/03/2011 11:46

You know about this place don't you star Thomas heaven!?

I'd like to do a summer meet up, but won't travel into London with all 3 of mine, so somewhere I can drive to would be essential criteria. :)
